Click to Call version 8

I just updated my Click to Call app from version 7 to version 8. However, when I right click a contact I only see one contact number for them. I don't get to see all of their numbers I have associated them with. Can this be modified somehow so that I can dial whichever number I want?
For example I have a contact with a business number, a home number, a voip number and all I get to choose from is their business number. Ideas?

It should give you option to choose which number to dial.  If not, please open a case with Cisco TAC.

  • Click to call 7.0.12.0 on Windows 7 - Webdialer service cannot be found

    Hi Guys,
I am trying to get click to call 7 working on Windows 7. I keep getting "Webdialer service cannot be found" message when entering the callmanager IP in Webdialer IP field and save.
I have added the proxy exception https://x.x.x.x:8443      (x.x.x.x is the callmanager IP)
Still it is complaining about web dialer service.
Click to call version : 7.0.12.0
    Windows 7 Professional
    Callmanager Version: 7.1.5.32900-2
Same click to call version works ok when installed on Windows XP machine. Just incase, I unsiatleld and resinstaleld clicktocall on windows 7 by running as Administrator eventhought he user accoutn I logged in has administrator rights ( As on same machine, cipc tftp server edit option didnt come until I install by ruinning the exe as administrator eventhough I logged in as a user with administrator rights.)
    Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks in advance,
    Sivaji

Can you access the webdialer URL from the same PC using the browser?
If you can, then i've seen issues with clicktocall (the executable) being blocked on the PC by agressive personal firewall/security software, like Symantec Endpoint Protection. Something to do with the executable trying to bind or create a port or miniport. Try it on a PC on the same subnet but without the security software.
Alternatively, If you can't even access the webdialer URL from that PC then you either have a network connectivity problem between PC and CallManager, or your webdialer service is not activated. Possibly a proxy is getting in the way.
The Webdialer service only needs to be activated and running on one node in the cluster and in general can run on the Publisher.
On my cluster (version 8.6) the webdialer URL is https://x.x.x.x/webdialer/Webdialer - you can find out the URL by looking in "directory" after logging into CCMUser and looking at the URL's directory where you can click on extensions. I think it has changed over major releases.

  • Skype click to call crashes

I Have the Extension Enabled But It Keeps Crashing? How Can It Be Fixed So I can use it? I had to Uncheck Enabled to Stop it From Crashing GOOGLE CHROME

Offering an opposite view: I make great use of C2C, and just happen to be one of those who uses FireFox and Internet Explorer rather than Chrome.  I make great use of C2C, and am hoping current compatibility issues as at the time I am typing this message are soon to be resolved.   (I miss C2C and never experienced any issues in using it.)

  • Click to Call & MS Outlook Contacts

I've searched the forums and while there are many discussions concerning using Click to Call with MS Outlook contacts, none of them have completely helped with my problem. I am an end-user and not involved with deployment of our VOIP system. The UCM version is 7.1.3.31900-1 and the Click to Call version is 7.0.12.0.
I understand how to access the "Persona" menu by right-clicking a name in an email and using "Additional Actions." I've noticed that telephone numbers do not populate unless the person is part of the Global Address List (GAL) in Outlook. For individuals outside the GAL, no telephone numbers are available even though I have a contact. I have verified that numbers only come from the GAL because I have additional phone numbers in the individual's contact that are not available. Is there later versions of UCM and C2C that address this issue? Is is merely a configuration issue?
When I am trying to "Call" from an outlook contact, I noticed under Dialing Options that the "Connect using line" drop-down box only has IPCONF LINE and H323 Line. I assume these are MS entries. Should I expect something from Cisco UCM or C2C to be available?
I am the first end-user to request C2C, and while it is nice to be able to dial from IE, most calls orginate from contacts. Thanks.

I have the Same Issue with Cisco Click to Call v8.0.2540.0 in conjunction with CUCM 8.6.2.21900-5
We're using Windows 7 Professional x64 and Office 2010 32-bit. Error message is the same as aherrera posted.
It seems that Outlook crashes when brought to high CPU-load (or waiting for connection to Exchange), but this usually happens on a random base, more often by Outlook 'Power-users' which are receiving a lot of e-Mails.
At the moment I have three installations with a high amout of Outlook crashes (at leayst once per day), and one (my own installation), which crashes occasionally (maybe once a week).
I'm not sure this has something to do with CUCM. It looks more like an Outlook - Click to Call issue to me.
    Thanks and kind regards,
    Klaus

Which browser are you using? Easiest fix is updating the latest Click to call version by running the installer from here: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/get-skype/on-your-computer/click-to-call/windows/

  • No Click-to-Call links on https sites

I'm using Chrome 21.  Phone numbers on NON-secure sites are converted to skype links fine, but not on secure pages.
Also tested and found same behavior on FireFox 11 and IE9
I just downloaded the latest click-to-call version.

Last time I checked, C2C was still not compatible with several newly released browser updates.  This is the only information I am aware of:

  • Click to Call, prevents previous versions of Skype...

After accepting the prospect of installing click to call, instead of being helpful it just messes up the connection with the exisitng intallation of skype. Any thoughts other than deleting everything and stating again without the annoying click to call....grrrrr!

I'm having similar experiences. I just loaded norton 360 if that matters. Even with it turned off, Skype will not load or or install. A few days befor i downloaded Skype click to call , maybe accidentally w Real, but ti never worked, and it will not Uninstall from my Windows vista! error 7238, and i get a toolbar error when I try to install any version on Skype. I can uninstall any full version of Skype, but the Skype click to call has firmly embedded it self and i can't find it any where to delete it. It's really messed up Internet Explorer, and Mozilla, so that they won't function for Netzero and some other web addresses. Please suggest a way of finding and deleting this Skype click to call malware!

  • Skype Click to Call for Firefox 7 Installation Nig...

    All info as of Oct.08.
    Hi Guys:
I would like to start by telling you that I'm newbie to this community as not a Skype fan user and haven't used the application since its June version 5.3. I didn't upgrade my Firefox browser on its due time either as rather use Internet Explorer most of the time. All these three are installed on a Windows XP Home SP3 system.
Due to some IE7 settings misconfiguration early this week, I decided to use FF6 again while restoring IE to defaults, which means that plugins and toolbars are disabled or uninstalled in the process. After reinstalation and updating Adobe Flash, Java, etc.. noticed that the Skype Toolbar was definetively lost (uninstalled) to IE.
FF Add-ons Manager was showing the Skype Plugin (still version 5.3) as disabled, not compatible and with no updates available. I then proceeded to upgrade FF to NB7 recently released 27-09, and then applied latest update 7.0.1 released 29-09, but no change to the Skype Plugin upon clicking on update all add-ons and plugins.
BTW, release notes for this FF update 7.0.1 states: "Fixed a rare issue where some users could find one or more of their add-ons hidden after a Firefox update"... making me more confused and to look deeper into FF support, but with no success. I also tried FF Add-on Compatibility Reporter to no avail.
Therefore, it was time to go to Skype and as I usually first learn about latest changes, opened on (blogs.skype.com/garage/windows/) first, to find that there were two releases (an update to V5.5.119 (which I did) and an upgrade to a new build 5.6) on the same date (29-09) of FF's update to fix "hidden add-ons" - what a coincidence to add confusion -.
In both versions' release notes you can read that changes include: "Updated Skype Click to Call browser plugins and the addition of support for Firefox 7"... but no further explanation. Sorry guys but it was at that moment when I learned about that "Click to Call" name (formerly known as Skype Web Toolbars) which totally different from what I was searching for, making me do some more clicks to search and understand the difference between the installers provided.
I believe (and suggest) that if in that blogpost 29-09 in respect of the 5.5 update, the poster (Raul Liive) would have included a link to the Click to Call support page, it would have been a lot more easier for Firefox users to update their Skype installation, even though, it is not true that Click to Call "is automatically installed in Mozilla Firefox" as suggested in that support page. It only installs in Internet Explorer. In order to also install it in Firefox and/or Chrome, you must download its installer from that page.
At least this was my experience which could be taken as a quick reference - Installation Troubleshooting Guide (Provided "AS IS" and subject to Mods' approval):
    - Opened Skype 5.3 and clicked on the Updater to get version 5.5.119 installed.
    - Opened IE7 and verified that new Click to Call 5.6.0.8312 was present in my toolbar.
    - Opened FF7 and verified that old Skype Plugin 5.3 did not changed. Tried to update it again from within the application with no results.
    - Opened Control Panel > Add or remove programs, and verified Skype 5.5.119 correctly shown, but Click to Call was not. There it was still showing "Skype Toolbars 5.3.7280".
    - Closed all applications and proceded to remove Skype Toolbars from Control Panel.
    - Restarted the system and opened CP, IE and FF to verify Skype Toolbars successfully removed.
    - Optionally - ran CCleaner.
    - Downloaded Click to Call Installer and ran it to install it in both, IE and FF, which done   successfully.
    - Opened CP to verify it was then showed correctly as "Skype Click to Call 5.6.0.8312".
    - Opened FF to verify it now shows the plugin correctly as above with no imcompatibility
warnings. Made a test call successfully. Did same from IE.
*Notice: Please note that there is actually only one Click to Call installer (v5.6.0.8312) available at Skype.com, no matter what Skype (supported) version or browser (support for IE, FF and/or Chrome only) you are using. Also notice that when you open your browser for the first time after installing CtoC, a new Skype advertising tag will be opened... Don't worry, it will do it just once. A second advertising window will be opened after your Skype app opens when you make a call from your browser... at least it happened on my first test call and don't know if same for further calls (free account).
Sorry guys - long story - but hope this to be of any assistance to the community.
    Cheers,
    RickCP

Would also add that after doing the above troubleshooting you find any problem with your Click to Call feature just installed, or simply need to install or activate the plugin to another browser (one of the 3 supported for Windows) you are also using, you can run your Click to Call Installer again to choose between the following options provided:
    Change:
Lets you change the way features are installed (and on what browser are to be installed).
    Repair:
Repairs errors in the most recent installation by fixing missing and corrupt files, shortcuts and registry entries.
    Remove:
Removes Click to Call from your computer.

  • Why doesn't Skype Click-to-call work on Windows 8.1?

Why doesn't Skype click-to-call work anymore? I upgraded to Windows 8.1, and now when I click on a highlighted phone number it asks "Which app should I use" or some such microsoft text. But no application is listed. Apparently it does not work from within Firefox (I have the latest version). And I can no longer find a Skype Click to Call application or extension in Firefox. Do I need to use another browser or is there a fix for this?

    Hey ran
Sorry to hear you are having probloms
I currently have skype click to call installed with firefox and windows 8.1 up to date. I would advise you to re-install skype and its click to call addon and see where it gets you
    hope this helps

  • Skype Click to call interferes with ClipBoard

I have found the strange behavior that as soon as Click to call has recognized a phone number (be it in IE or FF) on a webpage, it disables functionality of the clipboard: when trying to copy/paste within an MS Office program, only the text is copied and all the formatting info or the original formula in Excel is not copied anymore.
For that reason I had to disable and remove Skype CtC (I have version 5.10.0.9560). Problem is solved now, but nice feature of Skype is gone.

Me too! I thought it was a Google Chrome problem. I even rebuilt my laptop over it and spent a whole day on the phone with Geeksquad! I just uninstalled Click-to-call and now the problem is gone.
This is a really big deal, people use copy/paste all the time and expect the formatting to work. I'm telling everybody to uninstall click-to-call and/or don't install it in the first place. I hope somebody gets serious and fixes it. And, Skype will have to acknowledge the problem and tell me it is fixed before I will give click-to-call another shot.
Not trying to be a jerk - that is just the truth of it.

  • Click to Call for Google Chrome not appearing

So I downloaded the most recent version of Click to Call and was able to enable this feature finally in IE. However, whenever I seek to do the same in Chrome (ver. 35) by going to Settings > Extensions, there is no Extension there to enable. have tried to download and install multiple times.
Again, the feature IS working in IE, but does not show up in Chrome. would really like to figure out why this would be the case.
    Any suggestions?

  • Skype Click to Call Not Working for Landlines and ...

    Hello,
I am trying to use Skype Click to Call, but it does not seem to be working. I was able to call contacts using callto://CONTACT_NAME, but the second I try to call any mobile or landline number (I.E. - callto://9731234567), it does not work. Skype will come up, but it will not make the call. I am running on:
    Windows XP - 2002 Version
4 core Pentium processor (1.7 GHz)
    256 MB of RAM
    Google Chrome
If anyone could provide any insight or ideas, I would really appreciate it. I have already tried a large number of things to fix this issue. Thank you so much for any help!

Sounds that you have installed a Firefox Beta release and thus are on the beta update channel, see Help > About.<br />
The Beta update channel receives an update twice a week.
You need to install the current release to switch the update channel to release.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 27: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
