Clicking Functionality Disappears If You Leave the Page!

Hey All,
I've got a very strange thing happening with the site I'm
working with. The main bulk of the site is made up of a "parent"
.swf that plays different "child" .swf files within it depending on
which part of the flash site the user visits. The site's worked
great and I've had no problems with it...until now.
Recently, the powers that be have asked me to put an "intro"
page before the main flash site to introduce a contest/giveaway
that they want to run. This intro is located on a separate .html
page. From this intro page, the user can either say "no thanks" and
hit a button that takes them to the main website (located, of
course on its own .html page), or they can hit a different button
to register for the contest. All works well from there. However,
here's where the problem comes in...
If you go to the main site, there is a button on the main
page (part of the initial child .swf) that uses the simple getURL()
command to take the user back to the intro. In IE, this works fine.
In Firefox, this works only once....meaning, I click the button and
it takes me back to the intro, but once I go back to the main site
again, clicking any of the buttons in the child .swf does nothing.
You can roll over the buttons and get the sounds/animations to
play...but clicking functionality doesn't work at all. And it's not
just for the button that takes you back to the intro page...it's
for ALL the buttons in the child .swf.
I found that the buttons in the parent .swf (the top
navigation buttons) on the page work just fine and take you to all
the parts of the site as normal.
Reloading the page doesn't correct this problem. The only way
to get the buttons in the child .swf to function properly once more
is to close the browser and re-open the site.
Would anyone happen to know a workaround for this? If you'd

using the Mozilla Firefox browser (again, there are no problems in
IE at all...just this browser). Click the button that takes you to
"the locker room". In the locker room, a scoreboard will drop down
from the celing. It can be clicked and will take you back to the
page you just came from. Click the button that takes you back to
the locker room one more time, and you'll see that none of the
buttons in the locker room work anymore.

The text on web pages fades as you scroll the page, it reapears if you click refresh or move the mouse arrow over it. I reset FF still doing it.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Since I updated Firefox I have to constantly re log-in to my Yahoo account such as email. Every time I leave the page I have to log-in to get back into it. I also run OPERA and I do not have that problem with them. I stay logged in. Any suggestions?

I have windows Vista and have the updated version of Firefox. I also can run OPERA and LUNASCAPE with no problems. When running Firefox I have to constant re log-in to my Yahoo account every time I leave the page. For example: I log in to check my email on Yahoo and then leave my email page. Then when I return to recheck my email I have to log in all over again. I can't stay logged in. If I run my OPERA browser I stay logged in for days without having to sign in all over again.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

It's a JavaScript scam that only affects your web browser, and only temporarily.
1. Some of those scam pages can be dismissed very easily. Press command-W to close the tab or window. A huge box will pop up. Press the return key and both the box and the page will close. If that doesn't happen, continue.
2. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and uncheck the box marked Enable JavaScript. Leave the preferences dialog open.
Close the malicious window or tab.
Re-enable JavaScript and close the preferences dialog.
3. If the Preferences menu item is grayed out, quit Safari. Force quit if necessary. Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. From the menu bar, select

What is the event to handle before leaving the page?

I am using splitApp. I have a scenario where user can edit few fields in one of the "Detail" page. When user clicks some item in master page, before changing the detail page I want to show a popup to user if changes should be saved.
Is there an event where I get to know any detail page navigation? or some event to handle before leaving the page.

Hi Rashmi,
It depends on which element you are using.
Suppose you are using sap.ui.commons.TextField where you are editing your data(In Detail View) then change event is triggered whenever the text in the field has changed AND the focus leaves the TextField or the Enter key is pressed and you can use this event in your code according to your need.
Here you may set some global variable and check that value if it is set or not.

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select "done", in the upper right corner
sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the security questions.
At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

How do you reorder the pages in a PDF ie back to front (not individually via Page view). The manual solution of course is to scan or import them in the correct order in the first place. However, this did not happen, and we have many PDF's which are 100% in the wrong order. So we would like to press a button and have them in the right order.

Got it to work. It returned a completely different path of course just to make life interesting and required a FN+OPTION ENTER in order to return the path. I now have the FLATTEN option in the edit menu.
Just trying it checking all the Flatten options except the fields seemed to work on the first pass. I'm going to try and load a copy of the original complete document. I assume that is the proper way to use this at this point since I created the form ***-backwards?
I've used Adobe layout programs since the Aldus days but Acrobat seems to work differently than any other program I've used.
If I understand what you're saying I should:
1. Design the layout of the form leaving spaces for the fields
2. Open Acrobat, import the document
3. Auto-add and correct, or manually add the fields
4. Fix tabbing
5. Add any additional comments or annotations
6. Flatten everything but the fields? (If the fields are flattened I can't fill out the form unless it's supposed to be a printed form only, right?)
Might just have to break down and RTFM. Acrobat is a really different animal.

Thank you for your reply. Sorry to bug you again but can I ask some further questions? Pls excuse my lack of knowledge on these things.
In relation to your points:
1) In the ftp publishing settings, public_html is acutal in where it says "site name", where it says "URL" I have http://www.gippmed.com. I was advised to put public_html in "site name" from my hosting. If I put anything else it publishes the entire site to a folder with that name on the server and is not viewable online?
2) I have removed the spaces in the album page name and will reupload soon. In relation to the image file names, am I correct in saying that iweb is naming them from the captions? Do you really have to use one word captions or use underscores, it looks a little odd? I have read troubleshooting articles about iweb and spaces and it also recommends similar as you are, suggesting that all page names should have underscore instead of spaces. Problem is, if for example I change the page name "About Me" to "About_Me" iweb automatically changes it in the navigation menu and this looks silly to have undescores in the Nav Menu. Is there a way around this?
Lastly, a new problem that I have never had before:
Previously, iweb would remember what I had published and only publish new site changes. Now, every time I turn my computer off and on, I open iweb and it doesn't recognise any of the previous publishing, ie it republishes the entire site.

Animation doens't appear-except if you reload the page

Here is the situation : I have an AOM animation imported in Muse. In the Muse page I have some parallax effects (horizontal effects).
To be a the right place at the right moment, the oam file must be placed inside a group (layers panel).
But the problem is : when the animation is inside this group, it doesn't appear anymore in the navigator… except if you reload the page. This happens on all the navigators tested (firefox explorer chrome opera) but works on Safari.
If I extract the animation of the group, it works (the animation is visible in a navigator) but because of the scroll effects the animation is completely outside the place I want it to be (and i don't succeed to place it well)

You have to go the third icon called "graphisme" ... to see..hmmm... an empty place... and then reload the page to see what should be there at the very first time.
If you have any idea how to turn around this bug.

Alors, j'ai regardé attentivement le problème Firefox.
J'ai comparé Firefox 33 avec Safari 7 sur du matériel Apple. Voici le résultat avec 2 captures d'écran.
1) Le cas Safari.
2) Le cas Firefox.
En comparant les consoles des 2 navigateurs, on voit que Firefox charge bien l'animation mais ne lance pas (ou ne démarre pas) ladite animation (ou composition).
En revanche, l'animation test de votre dernier post démarre automatiquement.
Donc, je compare les codes de l'animation test et de l'animation sur la page "le book graphique" avec le copié collé ci-dessous.

D'où l'idée de forcer le démarrage de l'animation en panne sur Firefox à savoir "EDGE-5296186".
Comment ? En ajoutant du code de démarrage dans la scène principale.
Par exemple, vous pouvez créer un déclencheur (trigger) au point 0 avec un code qui lance le symbole qui est en boucle avec getSymbol("le nom").play(0).
Pour faire la boucle, vous avez ouvert le panneau de code "complete" et écrit sym.play(). Ajoutez un zéro : sym.play(0) pour forcer le démarrage au départ.
Donc, en résumé, mon idée est de forcer le démarrage pour que ça marche aussi sur Firefox.

Is there any way from Flex to detect that the user is
attempting to browse away from the web page the swf is loaded on
and prevent it?
I want to be able to warn the user that if they leave the
page before they save they will lose changes.
I am guessing no, but I am no guru so I thought I would put
the question out here.

You can use JavaScript on the page to do this.
