I have a chaching servlet and a compression filter servlet. the compression filter servlet througs up ClientAbortException . what could be the reason.
I know that this exception is thrown when the user closes the browser when the responses is sent of stop the action through browser. but in my case nothing is the case.

    Hi
    I am trying to solve the mistery that has been bugging me for a while now.
    We have the same J2EE app deployed on 4 servers. The application is for content management.
    One server is for development, one for QA, and other 2 for production. All servers have same hardware and same software installed. All servers rund the same J2EE SDK with Sun's App Server 8.1PE...
    Now, the mistery....I only get the follwoing exception on the 2 production serversThe error page works fine on other servers and it is the same JSP page on all servers....I cannot figure out why I am getting this error and what is the error supposed to mean..

    Hi. I am also same kind of problem. I ahve a simple JSP in my Struts 2 Application. Server used is weblogic. As soon as i click on the Calender Image. The Socket write erro is thrown. I a m not able to under stand as to why socket write error is happening, as inly a simple javascript function call happens on click of that image.
    JSP Cal code:
    value="<s:date name='remitFileSetup.effcvStartDt' format='MM/dd/yyyy'/>" size='10' maxlength='10'/><a id="Date1" href="#"><img onclick="javascript:callSelf('Date1','startdate','true','divMesReg1')" valign="bottom" src="<s:url value="/images/cal.gif"/>"
    method implementation:
    function call(cButton, cOutput, cSingle,divId) {
    var MA = [];
         //alert("HI 1");
         //to convert cSingle into boolean
         if(cSingle=='false')

    else{
              cSingle=true;

    // here we'll write the output; this is only for example. You
    // will normally fill an input field or something with the dates.

    // reset initial content.
    //el.innerHTML = "";
              if(cSingle==true) {

    // CAREFUL! You don't want to do "MA = [];". We need to modify
    // the value of the current array, instead of creating a new one.
    // Calendar.setup is called only once! :-) So be careful.
    MA.length = 0;
    // walk the calendar's multiple dates selection hash

    Hi to all
    I am developing one application that has to upload any type of file in to data base. i used BLOB in db. thats working fine. but its not uploading large amount of files. i used

    when i am trying to upload large file whose characters are 195085.( i got this value by printing fs.available() ) it is giving following error.

  • Weired problem when encoding String

    Hi guys,
    I need to send an String via HttpConnection (POST), but I get a rather weired error
    Following Code does not work giving me an IOException :
    (Uncaught exception java/lang/RuntimeException: IOException reading reader invalid first byte 11111100)
    String urlmsg = "kind_id=127&beobachter_id=567&kind_vorname=Hansi&kind_nachname=meiser2&kind_geschlecht=w&gruppen_id=4&kind_bew=";
    String bew = "[{'24':'+'},{'12':'~'},{'38':'-'}]";
    String urlbew = URLencode(bew);
    String completeurlmsg = urlmsg+urlbew;
    conn.setRequestProperty("Content-Length", ""+completeurlmsg.getBytes().length);
    OutputStream os = conn.openOutputStream();
    os.write(completeurlmsg.getBytes("utf-8"));
    os.flush();
    os.close();however when I change the "kind_id=" parameter to below(including) 112 (i.e. kind_id=112) the code works. I know the problem is somewhere with the coding, but I got no clue why this exception is occuring. Also note that this problem occurs ONLY with the "kind_id=" parameter, while "beobachter_id=" can be set to any number desired.
    I did use the Search, but all I got was this Post:
    [click here|http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=41619&tstart=0] but my code is UTF-8 encoded so this cannot be the solution (Or if it is I need more detailed infos.)
    Any help would be appreciated. Excuse my bad english but i am foreign;)
    PS: Using
    Ubuntu 9.04
    Netbeans 6.5.1 Mobile Edition (WTK included)
    java 1.6.0_13
    if you need more infos just ask, I am not shure what else to post since Netbeans is not giving much output.

  • Weired network account problem

    Hi,
    I have this very strange problem on a network account.
    Everything goes fine for about 1 min. From that moment, when I click on the sidebar on finder I am told that "The volume for "accounts" cannot be found". Items on my Desktop also disappear.
    Before things start to go wrong, if I go to terminal and type pwd I get the following:
    /private/Network/Servers/ATHENA.MYDOMAIN.LAN/Users/accounts
    After things are wrong when I open terminal I get the following error message:
    No home directory /Network/Servers/athena.mydomain.lan/Users/accounts
    Any suggestions would enormously appreciated.
    Cheers

    One more thing. This problem disappear when mobile account is turned on.
    Tks in advance for any suggestions.

  • Weired problem on Windows CS2 !!

    This could be a problem with the built-in ZIP program in Win XP - it's possible that the ZIP you are downloading (uploading?) is simply incompatible with the XP program. In Win 98 & 2000, you would have to use your own ZIP program, e.g. Winzip, and that can handle more formats that the XP program.
    Try installing the same ZIP program that you have on w98/2k on your XP machine, and see if you can open the uploaded file using it.

  • Weir drive mounting problem

    I am posting here because I have the same problem in two identical duel G5 towers running OS 10.5.7, so it's not a hardware issue, I don't think.
    When I install a second SATA had drive into the second bay it will not mount at start up, nor is it visible to disk utility. I have tested with 4 different drives with GUID and AFP.
    I have reset the PRAM, but did not help.
    Any ideas gratefully accepted.
    Thanks,

    "Repair Disk Permissions" from Disk Utility may help.
    Also, cmd-opt-n-v (Clear NV RAM) may help as well.

  • Weired problem with second X session with the latest Xorg

    Hi all,
    I'm having a weird problem with the latest Xorg. Normally I have two X sessions open, the second with startx : --1. It used to work with previous version of Xorg. However, with the last update, it's broken. The second X session behaves very strangely: it's like the whole screen is divided vertically into 2 pieces and the right hand piece is moved to the left. As a result, mouse pointer doesn't work. I've tried different WM, DE with the same result?
    Anybody encountered this?
    Thanks,

    Yes'sssss I found the problem. Is a conflict with Mirra Backup Server Software? What I did is that I sync my Aperture Library to my MacMini with Mirra then the problem was the same on the Mini. Then I say let me do a test so I uninstall Mirra and Walaaaaa the problem was Mirra. Now AP is working nice and cool. So I did the same with my MacPro and is working nice and cool. I love Aperture it has very nice tools to work with photos. Know the thing is which program haves the problem Aperture or Mirra. So know I will do a report of this to Aperture Team and Mirra Team. I will be doing some testing on this to see what is the conflict.
    Hope this is helpful if somebody haves the same problem.

  • Help in weired problem for  dunning -f150

    Hi All
    My  problem is the following
    After I run the transaction F150 , to make a dunning proposal , I want to dun only a limited  number of customer   say from level  1-3.
    When I click in the change button ,  I  got to another selection screen where I can   put the dunning level  .
    After putting some vlaue in the dunning level field  the program exits with the error message saying Delimitation to the dunning level not allowed
    The strange thing is when I run the program with the dunning level field empty , the program runs as it should and I can change the dunning proposal.
    I debugged the program RFMAHN21  and I found this piece of code
    In my case
    CASE h_variant-handle.
    WHEN '0002'.
          data ld_lines type i.
          describe table ma_mahns lines ld_lines.
          if ld_lines > 0.
            message s020.
            exit.
          endif.
    u2026..
    endcase
    the program exits as soon as we put some value in the the dunning level field which is the table ma_mahns and the message s020 I written out u201CDelimitation to the dunning level not allowedu201D
    I wonder what is the purpose of having a selection option field, when the program exits as soon as the field is not empty.
    I have searched sap notes for help but without luck.
    Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Solved
    I had to write a z program based on sap program and delete the exit statement.
    cheers.

    Glad you're sorted. Can you confirm that it is 4.10.903 you are using
    (not 4.00.903)? I'm concerned if this installation problem is still
    present in the later version.

    Bill - that seems to have done the trick! the installation is now running.
    Thanks so much for this.I am running a pair of Sun Ray 170's on my desk
    here at home mated to an E220R. I am hoping to use Tarantella to be able
    to access and run apps on a win3k server in the same rack.

    Gavin,
    This looks like a known problem with TTA 4.00.903 and some Solaris
    patches which were distributed at about the same time. However, you say
    you're using 4.10.903, and as far as I know the problem should be fixed
    in that version.
    You could try the workaround described in
    http://www.tarantella.com/documentation/sgd/ee/4.0/install.html - search
    for "tta_pkgadd" on that page and follow the instructions given there.

  • Problem with socket_timeout

    Hi all !
    I'm using Tomcat 5x on windows 2003 (64bit) as Application server. When I run application ,I receive 'error sending data, aborting: ClientAbortException: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: socket write error' . And I know that I need to increase 'socket_timeout' but I know where 'socket_timeout' is in Tomcat .
    Thanks for any help !!
    Tien Lai

    I've read your post about socket error in this forum.Good.
    But I don't know how to solve this problem. Then either you haven't read it at all or you haven't understood it. I said above that it's a network hardware problem, as does the link I gave you, several times. You can't solve network hardware problems. The network hardware guys do that.

  • Webutil Problem in Oracle Forms 10g

    Hi All,
    been reading various posts over time on the forums but this is the first time for me to post here.
    My name is george an i am a novice forms developer.(very novice i would say )
    i am in the process of altering an existing form, and i am trying to add webutil functionality to the form.
    i am succesfull getting webutil to run but i get some weired behaviour from the form, and in more detail i get the 40200 error.
    the error only appears after the usage of webutil in the form and this prevents the user from entering a query string in a text item (actually it is when the user tries to type in the text box that oracle throws the 40200).
    i am able to get around this problem, by moving the WEBUTIL DATA BLOCK at the end of the DATA BLOCKS tree. The form once more works as it should (queries etc) only that the webutil window and canvas are displayed on the top of my form (i.e webutil about form) and the user has to click OK to get rid of it.
    i have tried to hide the webutil window, the webutil canvas but i am unsuccesful.
    any ideas of how to keep the webutil data block at the end of the data block tree but not appearing in front of the form ??
    i hope i did not confuse you with my explanation.
    thank you,
    George

    Oracle Forms is Heirarchical. It uses the order in which items appear in the Object Navigator as the "Default" navigation order. Items like WebUtil should always appear after other objects (such as Data Blocks, Canvases and Windows). Making sure objects are listed in the right order in the Object Navigator is typically all you need to do, however, you could use the Form Module First Navigation Data Block property to override the default heirarchy (as MLBrown suggests) as well as write code in a When-New-Form-Instance trigger to Hide the WebUtil canvases and direct the form to the desired starting point (first navigation block/item).
    I personally, prefer to use the order of objects in the Object Navigator since this does not require any lines of code or the setting of properties.
    On a side note, it is always good to post your Forms version (eg: 10.1.2.0.2 versus 10g) when posting a Forms question. :)

  • Problem: User has problems to export ALV Grid to Excel...

    Hello experts,
    I have a very strange problem with an single user: when she tries to export ALV Grid data from SAP into Excel by List/Export/Spreadsheet, she's only able to export this to an xml-based file on her local client, every other user gets the popup to choose the spreadsheet format (XXL...).
    What I did so far:
    - Look up Excel Makro Security --> the same as on other desktops
    - SAP GUI Patch Level --> the same as on other desktops
    - Test with an different user on her desktop on SAP Report S_ALR_87012284 --> it worked perfectly
    - User parameters are the same as for the test user
    - Security regarding ALV is the same (S_GUI ACTVT = 61...)
    Has there ever been a similar problem to anyone else?
    Many thanks in advance for your feedback!

    Hi ,
    This problem looks very weired. Just try running that FM from SE37 from the same system and see that what is happening there.... if the problem is similar then it is not the problem of your report and some patch may be missing in that system.

    response.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel");
    to transform my JSP page to Excel.
    Sometimes, this works fine.
    But, mant times this gives error such ( in Windows2000 Adv. Server ) as
    "Memory could not be "read"."..with the tile of error-popup as "Excel.exe".
    (In Windows NT , it never exports to Excel. Every time it gives "Dr. Watson Debugger" message box.)
    In Windows2000 Adv. Server ,
    While debugging, I observed that when I click on Excel button, the pop up opens and executes the page and again goes to the start of the page and executes again and thus tries to open the same Excel document.
    As we know, we cannot open same Excel document twice. Hence it gives a popup alert that
    " The file <filename with its entire path> could not be opened.
    There may be several reasons :
    You might be trying to open a file which does not exist.
    You might be trying to open the file which is already open. ..."
    etc.etc. and something like this.
    Now, this is totally unpredictable. If I click Excel button, It may open the file in excel and on next try it would give error.
    This is quite annoying. I searched on this forum, Google but could not find the solution yet.
    I cannot use POI - HSSF . I cannot use userdefined Excel tags as well. as it will require a lot of reqork and unfortunately I don't have that much time now.
    Please help me and let me know how would I be able to successfully and predictably export my JSP pages to Excel.
    Thanks,
    Swipsy.

    Hi,
    Why dont you save as attachment? (use -> <% response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=\"name.xls\""); %> scriplet )...
    Im doing the same work, but I have problems to export images to Excel by this method...
    Someone could help me??
    thanks a lot
