Hi Sudhakar,
Go through this [blog |https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/bd28494a-0801-0010-45a3-fc359d82d3e8]for information on how you can handle the onClick event of the ALV. Once you manage to extract the sales order number the user has clicked up on you can then display the details in a popup window. You cannot directly call the VA03 TCODE from WDA.
If you are working in Portal, you can create Transactional iView for VA01 and in Web Dynpro you can navigate to this page using Portal API IF_WD_PORTAL_INTEGRATION
You have a Web Dynpro Version of VA01 by name LORD_MAINTAIN_COMP in WDA. May be check around if you an equivalent version for VA03. You can then navigate to that web dynpro ABAP component.
You could also call the VA03 transaction via the Integrated ITS (SAPGUI for HTML) via a normal linkToURL or Exit Plug.

Uday

  • Clear the values in the ALV report after calculating Subtotals

    Hi All,
    In my ALV report, I am displaying subtotals by passing DO_SUM in the Field Catalog.
    Now my problem is in the display I do not want the individual values to be displayed, I want to hide the values in the column(Not the whole column) but I want to display the subtotal of these values in the Subtotal Row.
    Example:
    Item1   10   20
    Item2   20   30
    Item3   10   50
               40   100
    As per our requirements, the output should be
    Item1
    Item2
    Item3
              40   100
    How can this be done? Please suggest.

    Populate i_sort table for the fields for which u want subtotal as shown below:
    *&      Form  sub_populate_sort
          Populate ALV sort table
          No Parameter
    FORM sub_populate_sort .
    Sort on material
      wa_sort-spos = '01' .
      wa_sort-fieldname = 'MATNR'.
      wa_sort-tabname = 'I_EKPO'.
      wa_sort-up = 'X'.
      wa_sort-subtot = 'X'.
      APPEND wa_sort TO i_sort .
      CLEAR wa_sort.
    Sort on plant
      wa_sort-spos = '02'.
      wa_sort-fieldname = 'WERKS'.
      wa_sort-tabname = 'I_EKPO'.
      wa_sort-up = 'X'.
      wa_sort-subtot = 'X'.
      APPEND wa_sort TO i_sort .
      CLEAR wa_sort.
    ENDFORM.                    " sub_populate_sort
    Then when populating the field catalog tables use:
    wa_lfl_fcat-no_out         =  'X'.        "No output
    Then display ur data:

  • Web dynpro for abap how to create a customize search help in alv column

       hi:
          Web dynpro for abap how to create a customize search help in alv column and put search help value into alv column?
          Are there specific examples ?
          thanks!!

    HI:
       I want to created a freely programed help which include date&time,and put help value to alv column.
      I have created a freely programed help in web dynpro for abpa application,I refer:
      **************** - WebDynpro for ABAP
      but have a problem!
       If you focus on the the input field in the first row, you get the value help
    However if  I go to the second row and focus on the same input field in this column, I don't get the value help:
    What is a good way to solve similar problems?
    thanks

  • Overall Result Row is not the Sum of Individual Values!

    I am frustrated with a weird problem.  I have an expense report in which Expense1 is shown a value of 8,126.  If I drilldown by company code, the sum of the company codes is 8,235, but the "Overall Result" row is showing 8,126.
    I tried drilling down by GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, material and even currency.  For all of these drilldowns the "Overall Result" row is 8,126 but the individual values sum out to be 8,235.
    First I thought it could be "Zero Suppression" that is hiding some values from the display.  But "Zero Suppression" was not active at all.  I have checked the LISTCUBE and saw that the Expense1 should be 8,235 and not 8,126.  The key figure properties "Calculate Result As" and "Calculate Single Values As" are set to "Nothing Defined" and "Use Default Direction".  But still for some strange reason, the "Overall Result" row is different than the sum of individual rows.  It's driving me crazy as I have ran out of ideas to figure out what's happening.  Could someone help me with this?  I would appreciate any input with points!

    Hi,
    Remove the 'Suppress Zero rows/columns' from the query definition and then check the values.
    Column A might have value, but for the same row column B might have zero, hence the row was not shown in the result set, but the overall result will include all such values as well, even thought it was not shown in the result set.
    HTH,
    regards,
    Nataraj.

  • Custom sorting in Web Dynpro ALV columns

    Hello Experts,
    I want to implement custom sorting on some of columns in Web Dynpro ABAP ALV.I searched in SDN forum,but couldn't find much useful information on this?are there any events through which we can achieve this?
    is it technically feasible?
    Any information on this will be great help.
    Thanks,
    Naidu

    Hello Thomas,
    Thanks for your quick response.Actually i want to display Price and currency values together  in single column ,like 5000 USD.For this i have to use character field as i can't take currency field .If i take char field for price,sorting will based on character type rather than decimal type.Due to this,i want to implement custom sorting on that particular field.
    Anyhow thanks for confirmaion.
    Thanks,

  • Controlling visibility of ALV columns at runtime

    Hi
    I have an ALV column which is of type DropdownByKey. I can control the visibility of the dropdown by setting it based on another context node attribute (for e.g., 'CAT_VALUE_I_VISIBLE') which I modify at runtime. But then I want to hide the column itself based on the other context node attribute which I am not able to. Is it possible ?
    I have something like this to hide the dropdown
    lo_drdn_by_key->set_visible_fieldname( 'CAT_VALUE_I_VISIBLE' ).
    But on the column level there is only a method like :
    DATA lo_column type ref to cl_salv_wd_column.
    lo_column-r_column->set_visible( cl_wd_uielement=>e_visible-none ).
    Is there a possibility to control the visibility of an ALV column at runtime ?
    Thanks and regards
    Sukanya

    Hi,
    Depending upon another context attribute condition get th ecolumn ref of the alv field which you want to hide and set the visibility property to none.
    data : lt_columns type SALV_WD_T_COLUMN_REF.
    Get the column ref
      CALL METHOD lo_value->if_salv_wd_column_settings~get_columns
        RECEIVING
          value = lt_columns.
    CALL METHOD lr_column->set_visible
            EXPORTING
              value = cl_wd_uielement=>e_visible-none.
    Thanks,
    Shailaja Ainala.

  • ALV column displays either button or text ?

    Dear collegues,
    I want to display one column in an ALV table that either displays a button (with a text on it) or displays a text (without button). The decision what of these 2 possibilites is shown should be controlled by the runtime data (eg. the WD context).
    PS: I know how to display one ALV column with only buttons or one ALV column with only text.

    Hi Christian,
    a) Is the command l_cv->set_key( 'TEXT_VIEW' ) still correct to display the icon ?
    yes there is a no show stopper to display icon.since TEXT_VIEW is a string value to populate  text/check box conditionally.
    b) What I fill into the new context field 'CELL_VARIANT' while runtime ? Should it filled with u201CTEXT_VIEWu201D to display the iconand with u201C u201C to display the button ?
    you can give either button or icon to cell_variant.Follow my code as it is .you will get the output.

  • Newbie questions: 'extracting' values from a single column. Is it possible?

    Hello everybody,
    I'm a pretty newbie user of BI 11. I would like to know if it's possibile to aggregate values by filtering different values in a same column. As my English is quite bad, let me summarize my problem with an example:
    Column A - Number of Recevived Calls -- Column B Caller's Satisfaction Rating
    A: 12 - B: Good
    A: 25 - B: Average
    A: 100 - B: Perfect
    A: 35 - B: Not good enough
    I would like to be able to do some math with single scores as, for instance, to group together good, average and perfect scores and remove the not good enough scores, or, another example, I'd like to calculate the percentage of GOOD ratings on the total number of calls.
    Anyone can help me? I'm a simple user of the BI frontend, so I don't have access to the underlying database structure.
    Sorry for any mistake I made in my English writing and Thanks a lot in advance.

    I assume Column A is a measure. In the edit formula for this column, highlight the column and filter it based on column B. For example you might to filter all the calls for 'Good' then you may divide it by total no of calls or something similar. It might look something like this -- Filter(table.column A USING (table.Column B = 'Good'))/Sum(table.columA)
    you might want to use a combination of case statements as well depending on what you want to achieve.
    for example -- case when table.column B='GOOD' then sum(table.column A) else (sum(table.column A)/(case when table.column B='BAD' then sum(table.column A) end))end
    Give it a try, hope this helps.

  • SQL Error: ORA-12899: value too large for column

    Hi,
    I'm trying to understand the above error. It occurs when we are migrating data from one oracle database to another:
    Error report:
    SQL Error: ORA-12899: value too large for column "USER_XYZ"."TAB_XYZ"."COL_XYZ" (actual: 10, maximum: 8)
    12899. 00000 - "value too large for column %s (actual: %s, maximum: %s)"
    *Cause:    An attempt was made to insert or update a column with a value
    which is too wide for the width of the destination column.
    The name of the column is given, along with the actual width
    of the value, and the maximum allowed width of the column.
    Note that widths are reported in characters if character length
    semantics are in effect for the column, otherwise widths are
    reported in bytes.
    *Action:   Examine the SQL statement for correctness.  Check source
    and destination column data types.
    Either make the destination column wider, or use a subset
    of the source column (i.e. use substring).
    The source database runs - Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production
    The target database runs - Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
    The source and target table are identical and the column definitions are exactly the same. The column we get the error on is of CHAR(8). To migrate the data we use either a dblink or oracle datapump, both result in the same error. The data in the column is a fixed length string of 8 characters.
    To resolve the error the column "COL_XYZ" gets widened by:
    alter table TAB_XYZ modify (COL_XYZ varchar2(10));
    -alter table TAB_XYZ succeeded.
    We now move the data from the source into the target table without problem and then run:
    select max(length(COL_XYZ)) from TAB_XYZ;
    -8
    So the maximal string length for this column is 8 characters. To reduce the column width back to its original 8, we then run:
    alter table TAB_XYZ modify (COL_XYZ varchar2(8));
    -Error report:
    SQL Error: ORA-01441: cannot decrease column length because some value is too big
    01441. 00000 - "cannot decrease column length because some value is too big"
    *Cause:
    *Action:
    So we leave the column width at 10, but the curious thing is - once we have the data in the target table, we can then truncate the same table at source (ie. get rid of all the data) and move the data back in the original table (with COL_XYZ set at CHAR(8)) - without any issue.
    My guess the error has something to do with the storage on the target database, but I would like to understand why. If anybody has an idea or suggestion what to look for - much appreciated.
    Cheers.

    Use SQL Reference for datatype specification, length function, etc.

  • Get value from  APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY - column on a report.

    Hello.
    Help. Help. Help.
    I have to get value from APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY - column on a report.
    SELECT DISTINCT ROLE AS GET_ROLE,
    JOB AS GET_JOB,
    APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY
    ( 1, '%', 'SELECT DISTINCT CODE c,
    MODE m
    FROM T2
    WHERE ROLE = ' || ROLE ) AS GET_CODE
    FROM T1
    WHERE AGE >30 AND
    SEX = 'M' ;
    I was trying to use javascript :
    for (var i = 0; i < selectlist_name.options.length; i++)
    if (selectlist_name.options[ i ].selected)
    result=selectlist_name.options;
    But I don't know is that correct:
    "selectlist_name" - APEX_ITEM.F01
    (of my APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY)?

    Just as a note, but you want to make sure your APEX_ITEM call is closed. The code snippet you posted isn't complete.
    APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY(6,c020, 'select DISTRIBUTION_NAME, DISTRIBUTION_NAME from DISTRIBUTIONS','style="", SEQ_ID   <-- No closing )In the documentation - http://www.utoug.org/i/doc/api099.htm - (though it isn't necessarily the easiest to read) it gives this explanation of the syntax:
    APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY(
    p_idx IN NUMBER,
    p_value IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT,
    p_query IN VARCHAR2,
    p_attributes IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT,
    p_show_null IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT,
    p_null_value IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT,
    p_null_text IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT,
    p_item_id IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT,
    p_item_label IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT,
    p_show_extra IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT)
    RETURN VARCHAR2;
    What you want to look at is p_value to set an initial value. It should come from your data, but you could consider doing an NVL or DECODE to substitute your default.
    In this case it would modify your query to be:
    SELECT distinct apex_item.hidden(1, seq_id), c003,c004,c005, c006,
          APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY(6,c020, 'select DISTRIBUTION_NAME, DISTRIBUTION_NAME from DISTRIBUTIONS','style=""),
          SEQ_ID
      FROM APEX_collections
    WHERE collection_name = 'ARGYLL_INVOICES'
    order by seq_id If the value is always NULL, you can use the p_show_null, p_null_value, and p_null_text to put in a "default"
    SELECT distinct apex_item.hidden(1, seq_id), c003,c004,c005, c006,
          APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY(6,NVL(c020,0), 'select DISTRIBUTION_NAME, DISTRIBUTION_NAME from DISTRIBUTIONS','style="",YES, 100, 'Default'),
          SEQ_ID
      FROM APEX_collections
    WHERE collection_name = 'ARGYLL_INVOICES'
    order by seq_id

  • Retrieve front end values of editable alv in same format

    I have a problem to retrieve the front end values in editable alv filled by user.
    I am able to get it from MODIFIED CELL method but it gives the values after
    alv automatically conversion. For example if user filled 1 in cell of type numc
    then i want to keep it as 1 not as 00..001 format of numc.
    Same for when user fill alphbets in small letter the alv convert it in CAPS.
    I want to retain it as it as filled by user.
    Example: User filled aAbBcFG in a cell
    then it should update in database in same format not like AABBCFG as alv did

    Hi Srinivas I have used CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT for number input. My problem is that
    when user fill 0 in the alv cell then alv automatically convert it into 00000000. My field is of type numc
    that why it converts in 00000000. I want to retrieve it as the user fill in alv cell. Through this function
    module the import parameter parameter is of numc format not as filled by user. In my case if it is 0
    then then i should retrieve it as it is.
    My actual scenario is i have a numc type field in alv and i want to keep it as mandatory. For which i am
    writing a logic. Because in my table there is a valid entry of 0. If user do not fill 0 then it takes automatically
    0 as input because of initial value of numc field. I want to restict it. I can not convert this field as char.
    Give me some logic to make numeric field mandatory.

  • Inserted value too large for column error while scheduling a job

    Hi Everyone,
    I am trying to schedule a PL SQL script as a job in my Oracle 10g installed and running on Windows XP.
    While trying to Submit the job I get the error as "Inserted value too large for column:" followed by my entire code. The code is correct - complies and runs in Oracle ApEx's SQL Workshop.
    The size of my code is 4136 character, 4348 bytes and 107 lines long. It is a code that sends an e-mail and has a +utl_smtp.write_data([Lots of HTML])+
    There is no insert statement in the code whatsoever, the code only queries the database for data...
    Any idea as to why I might be getting this error??
    Thanks in advance
    Sid

  • Library Filters: Filter for multiple values in a single column and Wildcards

    If you have a multi-value column in a library, can you filter to show only results where two (or more) specific values (terms) are applied? E.g. Year 2014 and Month January? Seems this would be particularly useful for Enterprise Keywords columns.
    Similarly, is there any way to filter on one value OR another value in a single column (e.g. Document Type Memo OR Fax)?
    Any way to use wildcards in searches (would be REALLY useful in the Title and Name columns when naming conventions have been followed).
    I'm guessing the answer is going to be 'move to SharePoint 2013' - if that is the case, please confirm whether all the scenarios mentioned above are catered for.

    Thanks for your replies !
    Is there any other way to achieve this ?
    There is 1 InfoObject which has 2 fields Employee and Department.
    Employee     Department
    001                A
    001                B
    001                C
    In the report there should be 1 row for Employee 001 with all the Departments displayed in the same cell separated by commas.
    Can this be done in the backend through a ABAP code?

  • [Forum FAQ] How to configure a Data Driven Subscription which get multi-value parameters from one column of a database table?

    Introduction
    In SQL Server Reporting Services, we can define a mapping between the fields that are returned in the query to specific delivery options and to report parameters in a data-driven subscription.
    For a report with a parameter (such as YEAR) that allow multiple values, when creating a data-driven subscription, how can we pass a record like below to show correct data (data for year 2012, 2013 and 2014).
    EmailAddress                             Parameter
    Comment
    [email protected]              2012,2013,2014               NULL
    In this article, I will demonstrate how to configure a Data Driven Subscription which get multi-value parameters from one column of a database table
    Workaround
    Generally, if we pass the “Parameter” column to report directly in the step 5 when creating data-driven subscription.
    The value “2012,2013,2014” will be regarded as a single value, Reporting Services will use “2012,2013,2014” to filter data. However, there are no any records that YEAR filed equal to “2012,2013,2014”, and we will get an error when the subscription executed
    on the log. (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles)
    Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.InvalidReportParameterException: Default value or value provided for the report parameter 'Name' is not a valid value.
    This means that there is no such a value on parameter’s available value list, this is an invalid parameter value. If we change the parameter records like below.
    EmailAddress                        Parameter             Comment
    [email protected]         2012                     NULL
    [email protected]         2013                     NULL
    [email protected]         2014                     NULL
    In this case, Reporting Services will generate 3 reports for one data-driven subscription. Each report for only one year which cannot fit the requirement obviously.
    Currently, there is no a solution to solve this issue. The workaround for it is that create two report, one is used for view report for end users, another one is used for create data-driven subscription.
    On the report that used create data-driven subscription, uncheck “Allow multiple values” option for the parameter, do not specify and available values and default values for this parameter. Then change the Filter
    From
    Expression:[ParameterName]
    Operator   :In
    Value         :[@ParameterName]
    To
    Expression:[ParameterName]
    Operator   :In
    Value         :Split(Parameters!ParameterName.Value,",")
    In this case, we can specify a value like "2012,2013,2014" from database to the data-driven subscription.
    Applies to
    Microsoft SQL Server 2005
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
    Microsoft SQL Server 2012

    For every Auftrag, there are multiple Position entries.
    Rest of the blocks don't seems to have any relation.
    So you can check this code to see how internal table lt_str is built whose first 3 fields have data contained in Auftrag, and next 3 fields have Position data. The structure is flat, assuming that every Position record is related to preceding Auftrag.
    Try out this snippet.
