I would like to remove myself from the Apple discussions, but don't want to completely close this Apple account because it's linked to my iTunes purchases... how can I do this?

Just stop logging in and posting. There's nothing else to do.

    My contract is up on October 15 i want to close my account when contract ends since my  account manager no longer wants to use the account any longer. so i  wanted to know when do i exactly call Verizon to cancel before the date  or the same day ? and how will the process of closing the account will  be?

I swear that I was told if I did it even one day before the end of the contract I would pay a prorated etf. Also, if he wants to keep the number then I would port it out first the final day of the contract or he will loose the number. Make sure it is completely transferred and working before canceling. If that's not important to him then just call to cancel it when the time comes.
    Normally, the service cancels with the port process, but I wouldn't trust them not to charge you an extra day or two.

  • Mother passed away, how to close account & what to do with iPhone 5 S?

    Hello,
    My dear mother passed away back in July 2013.  Since then, we had no idea who's name her iPhone 5 S account was in.  We assumed in my dad's name.  Anyway, I kept making the payments and until recently discovered the account is in my deceased mother's name.
    As I can no longer afford to pay the $90.00 a month, what should I do to close this account?  Whom do I mail at Verizon Wireless a death certificate? 
    Also, do we keep the iPhone 5 S, or we must send it back?
    I noticed the 2 year contract comes up October 2014. 
    I tried to find a real email address or Contact Us form, but just couldn't.  So, I'm here.

    This seems pretty easy. Either call CS at *611 or 800-922-0204 or stop in to a Verizon corporate store. Inform them your mother has passed away, that she is the account owner and you would like to close the account. You may have to bring the death certificate. If they try to collect an ETF, simply let them. You are not responsible for it as the account is not in your name. Since you are the one paying the bills, they will obviously not be able to collect the ETF.

    I am wanting to close my account. It is a free account and is the current one I am using. I really have not utilised this account effectively enough to keep it, thus would like to close it. I am however struggling to find a similar forum discussion that can provide me with step-by-step information on how to achieve this, or a link that I can follow that remains valid. I see that account deactivation/cancellation can be done automatically, and this would be ideal in my case. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. Kind regards.

    I looked up this related link to closing accounts, and from it, it seems to indicate automatic deactivation of account, that is without having to go through Adobe Customer Service.

    If someone can provide me with a direct link where I can contact Adobe customer service for assistance, I would be greatly appreciative. I would simply like to contact someone about closing my account, not about help with 'Products and Services' which seem to be the only way I can contact anyone about closing my account, and given I did that and ended up writing this question on a forum, I seem to be running around in circles.
    All I want to do is close this account, that is not have an Adobe ID/account/username. I have never had this much trouble trying to close an account I created, for free, and many years ago, and which I do not use.

  • Unable to close account after sudden hardship

    I have been trying to close my account for two days due to the fact that my husband was suddenly arrested right before the holidays, he will be going to prison for a long time, and my finances have been cut almost in half. I am told I agreed to a contract in September, and I only recall clearly stating NO when I was asked if I would agree to a two year contract. I have spoken to several Verizon associates, including two managers, and get the impression that this company couldn't care less about customers who run into hardship, meanwhile I am stuck with this bill growing bigger and bigger.     What about navy federal? I'm closing my secured card now, but should I ask them to combine secured and unsecured credit line, and if so, am I better off calling to ask, or sending a secure message from the website?

    I'm getting to the point where i think it might be in my best interest to close some of my credit card accounts. Take a look and see what you guys think I should do to best leverage my scores...
    Kohls card. $0/$300 limit. Had account about five months
    NFCU nrewards secured $0/$1000 have had account just over 3 years
    NFCU cash rewards $2500/$3000 have had account about six months
    Barclay Apple card $0/2000 just turned one year old
    Barclay rewards $1100/$1700 just turned one year old
    Cap one qs1 $0/300 about two months
    Credit one $0/600 had about 18 months.
    Of these, credit one sucks the most. They have not really done anything except cost me $9 a month. The others are ok, but I'm nervous about having that many open lines to keep track of. Should I close one? Two?

  • Firefox 7.0.1 Sync problems unexcpected errors and inability to close account

    I get repeated unexpected errors from sync on the bottom of the page which suggests that sync will try again later. Since there was no syncing taking place, I removed the devices and tried to close my account to create another as suggested in the forums. I was unable to close. Keep getting the "Oh dear....." message. Is there a fix for this. Have been trying for bout 2 weeks to delete the account.

    Yes, that was the second thing I tried Found it in one of the forums. Also tried to wade through some of the sync logs from the instructions in a forum, but was hopelessly lost, except I could understand the "failure" word. Grin. Have resorted to Xmarks until I can get this figured out. It works, but doesn't do all the sync that Sync did when it was working. Thanks for the reply.

    You can't close accounts or ID's, you can only stop using them by deleting the accounts from your iOS devices.

  • Get all new messages does not work on all accounts

    I have several accounts set up. using "Get all new messages" works about 20 percent of the time.
    I have tried "repairing" all folders - no change
    tick to "include this server when getting new email" is greyed out
    All accounts pop off the same server, same isp.
    Used to work - but has got worse and worse over the past year.
    Can't find anyone else on the forums with the exact same issue.

    Check : Make sure all of these are selected for the problem pop mail account
    * Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings
    * select : 'Check for new messages at startup'
    * select : ' check for new messages every eg: 15 minutes
    * select : ' Automatically download new messages'
    * click on OK to save and close account settings.
    If these settings are already selected, then something must be overriding a setting.
    So try this:
    * Tools > Options > Advanced > General tab
    * click on 'Config Editor' button - it will tell you to be careful :)
    * In the top search type: biff
    * look for this line : mail.server.default.download_on_biff;
    * If Value = 'false', double click on that line to toggle the 'False' to 'True' or right click on line and choose 'Toggle'
    * close window - top right X
    * click on OK to save and close 'Options'.

    I created three new personal accounts for the three new employees of our company. I then opened the administration panel and realised it would have been better if I had created them as business accounts rather than personal accounts (to manage activities etc.  from the panel). I now need to cancel the accounts to re open them as business accounts, using the same skype names (all members of staff have the same format for skype names).     OK for those who eve rrun in to this... You can not have 2 media types under your itunes connect according to the Apple rep who called me on this.
    You have to create another Apple ID and under the developer website (members center) transrole your agent role over to that account. I am not sure if Apple has to so anything after that since I was on the phone with him while I as doing it.
    Best thing to do is just to create another Apple ID, and use that when signing up for a IOS devleoper account instead of your existing iBooks account.

  • Deployment of Windows 8 and Microsoft account

    Hi,
    I have a situation where I am deploying Windows 8.1 to desktops connected to a 2008 R2 domain
    Scenario:
    * Each client PC is running Windows 8.1
    * Each client PC signs on to internal domain controller ([email protected])
    * Each user account has an office 365 sign on which is syncronised with active directory (Microsoft organisational account)
    It would now appear that each user requires a microsoft / live account to benefit from apps, windows store etc..
    Does anyone know of a procedure where the organisational account for office 365 can be used for this (which i dont think is possible) or perhaps any way of bulk registering my office 365 users for a microsoft/live account and syncronise the passwords.
    Anyone come across this issue before?

    Having similar issues/concerns to yourself, I have been researching for a solution. While I have not found any real solution, there are two work-arounds that I am contemplating. Please let me know if either of these could help yourself, or if you have found
    better or improved solutions.
    Process 1.
    1) For each Office 365 account, also create a Microsoft Account
    2) Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\OneDrive\"Prevent the usage of OneDrive for file storage" to "Enabled", to ensure that the Microsoft Account's OneDrive is disabled so the user does not accidental store company data to the
    Microsoft Account's OneDrive but only has access to the Office 365's OneDrive for business.
    3) When a user leaves, delete their Office 365 account and then also delete their Microsoft Account (see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/account-close-account). Remember to transfer any required company data from their Office 365 OneDrive account
    to the corporate Team Sites before deleting their Office 365 account.
    or
    Process 2.
    1) You can totally disable the use of Microsoft Accounts and the Windows Store, while still allowing users to make used of already installed Windows Store Apps.  
    2) If you have a Windows AD server you can use side-loading to install apps. Or you could install the apps before disabling Windows Store.
    3) You can still enable the automatic updating of Windows Store Apps, even when the Windows Store is disabled.

    Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Store\"Turn off Automatic Download of updates on Win8 machines" to "Enabled"
    If you want to disable Syncing of data, see;
    Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Sync your settings\"Do not sync passwords"
    I am very interested to learn if there are more Group Policies that could be, or should be, used to manage Microsoft Accounts and the Windows Store.
