Close button on full screen

Is it possible to change the size of the 'Close' button in Full Screen viewing mode?

I am currently using Firefox for a kiosk type scenario. We require that the browser run full screen. The issue is that the 'Close' button is not large enough for users to consistently see, so they're having issues figuring out how to close an active browser window.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change this icon? I've tried using themes, but they tend to theme everything but the close button.

The three buttons have these IDs:

I need to remove "minimize, maximize, close" buttons on full screen mode

I can remove all buttons (like refresh, back, forward, address bar, etc..) but the little right 3 buttons "minimize, maximize, close" i cant remove, how can i make with userChrome.css or other option.
Because i can close firefox exiting from fullscreen and clicking on archive menu with "Alt" key.
I dont wanna this little 3 buttons, that i can hide and show permanent.

Media Player with control buttons inc. full screen

Hi
I am trying to add a media player on an html page - insert > media > flash, file.swf.
This looks good when uploaded, but I'd like to have the control buttons show up, (ie. stop, replay, backwards, forwards, full screen)
The video also looks to be 54 minutes long, I suppose it is as the 2 minute video continually repeats. Can this be changed too?

No Save or close button on Audio screen in 6.1

Help! I just updated by Captivate to 6.1. I was editing some existing audio. And now I have no way of Saving or Closing the window. I am literally stuck. Here is a screenshot: I tried expanding the screen and it just gets bigger. How do I save the audio and exit this screen??????

Can you try exiting the audio dialog by pressing 'Esc' key? You may not be able to save the audio if you exit the window through the 'Esc' key.
Can you try the same scenario after deleting Captivate6 preferences and see it resolves the issue or not?
To Delete Preferences:
1) Close Captivate6.
2) run CleanPreferencesWin.bat present at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 6 x64\utils\
3) re-launch Captivate and Try the Audio dialog scenario.

How to add project, folder or album in full screen mode

I love the full screen mode but I do need to go back (F) to "normal" mode for library changes like adding a new album, folder or project.
All other library functions do work like move projects into folder etc.
The function is shown in "inspector" (right mouse button) but you can not select the function.
Is this not supported like the faces and places "button" in full screen mode as i learned reading this forum?

If you close Firefox while in full screen mode then Firefox should start the next time in full screen mode as well.

Safari won't open in full screen

I had to erase my hard drive and reinstall OSX 10.8.2 on my MBA. Now after I quit Safari in Full Screen on my MBA it won't open again in full screen as it did before I erased and reinstalled OSX. My Mac Mini has always reopened Safari in Full Screen after I close it in Full Screen. All Safari preferences on my Mac Mini and MBA are the same.
Can someone offer a suggestion on how to automatically open Safari in Full Screen?

Mountain Lion is set up to close windows when you quit a program instead of saving them. To change this, put Safari in full-screen mode, move the cursor to the top, open Safari menu while holding Option key and close Safari from the menu.
If you want to do it automatically with all programmes, open System Preferences > General, and deactivate "Close windows when quitting an application"

When i quit safari in full screen a blue screen appears in background

Full screen locked, please help!

I am using OSX 10.9. I connected my computer to my TV through HDMI and opened a full screen window on it. The window was an application that was also running on my MacBook Pro. I unpuged the HDMI and the windows went to my MacBook screen. The problem is that when I try to close the screen I cant. There are no arrows in the tool bar and ive tried escape as well as a veriety of other keyed commands. There is only one (out of the three) windows that has the top bar and I am able to close out of full screen mode. I tried to connect it back to my TV but nothing could be done since the windows have no bar to grab onto and drag (or close the window). If it help I am using the software Blender. Please help!

Excuse me, I solved it myself. But for anybody else who has the smae problem, I'll tell you how I fixed it. I turns out that I had not hit the full screen arrows ont the top right of the window, I made it fullscreen within Blender (under the view menu). Sorry guys!

Widescreen full screen?

This might sound like a stupid question but I thought I'd check! I'm important widescreen footage from a DV cam, into iMovie HD 6. The project is set to be DV Widescreen and the frame rate is set to 25 (because I'm PAL).
I import the footage but when I play it back full screen from within iMovie, I still get letterboxing top and bottom of the screen. It looks fine when I play it within iMovie with the normal play button (not full screen). Should I have the Automatic DV Pillarboxing & Letterboxing option switched on or off? It seems to make no difference in this case.
I assumed I'd be able to play back full screen, without the letterboxing. Is it because I am using an Apple 23" Cinema Display? Its resolution is 1900x1200 - perhaps this isn't 16:9 or maybe I'm missing something else.

of a modern widescreen TV, but even there you may
still get the occasional bar at the top and bottom
from retail DVDs of films shot in an even wider
format.
The resolution of 16:9 DV is 1900 x 1080 - maybe
enough of a difference to be noticeable on your 23"
display (Klaus suppresses jealous snort). Even
on my mere 20" iMac the image from full-screen 16:9
DVDs, including ones in iMovie, do not quite
match the exact screen size.
As to your question: Automatic DV Pillarboxing &
Letterboxing should be OFF, just set it at 16:9.

Many thanks for your answer, that's a big help right away. I guess if 16:9 DV is 1900 x 1080 and the Cinema Display 23" is 1900 x 1200 then there would have to be black bars. Can someone with a 23" Cinema Display confirm this?

Side-by-side pages on full screen mode

With adobe reader 8.1.x for Linux (Ubuntu 8.04), you can visualize side-by-side pages in full screen mode. With reader 9.1.2, you can't. When you click on "side-by-side page" button, then "full screen" button, the program returns to "single page" visualization. It's annoying because I can't take advantage of my 32“ 16:9 monitor/tv. Is there any hide configuration to enable Side-by-side pages on full screen mode?

Go Edit -> Preferences -> Full Screen then unckeck Fill screen with one page at a time.

Full screen isn't full screen,unless I use "maximize" and later goes back

I used to be able to press full screen and it would be fine and when I closed ff, upon restarting it would restart in full screen. Something has gliched. When I press full screen in regular size, the full screen isn't full, only about 90-95% of screen. I can make it go full screen if I click
"maximize " and then full screen , but if at any time the screen isn't maximized, the same thing happens. If I close maximized and full screen
it opens with the reduced full screen. I can't move or stretch it out in anything except normal screen, and again, not I click full screen from there. I never had this problem.

You provided no information about installed extensions. <br />Do you have any extensions installed?

How to Click to go full-screen without xtras

A Shockwave 3d is published to brower,
I will switch between full-screen and common in the brower through Click a button,
The full-screen is the real full-screen like a lot of desktop-based games do.
Please tell me how to do it without xtras.

use the shift key in what way? as i click the fullscrene icon on chrome? as i hit the fullscreen button on netflix? or when i hit silverlight? or when i use it in conjunction with another hotkey you did not mention? please be more explicit and detailed in your solution.
i have had this problem since i got mavericks in October 2013 and have been looking for a solution myself for the past 4 months and have found nothing. maybe i was searching wrong or asking the wrong questions but i doubt i found nothing because i was the only one with the problem. i figured that more experienced mac users and chrome users would have faced the same problem and came up with a solution already using their ingenuity and hopefully would offer me their solutions if i asked directly.
since you responded within 3 minutes of me posting this question and as vague as your reply was you mention the solution requires the shift key in some way i was right in assuming i was not the only one with the problem and that others have found the solution already. no hours or days required to troubleshoot this alien and unheard of technical issue on my behalf since you have done that for yourself in the past 4 months and would only require 5-10 minutes in writing out 8-16 lines of text to explain the solution. possibly 24 lines if you write out the steps as a list.
i would not ask for help here if i found the solution myself but sadly i could not and have to turn to the community for guidance and cooperation in solving the problem, just like how humanity has solved every problem it faced and made the modern world the marvel it is today,though this sharing of information and labor that a social species such as humans would excel at.
so how exactly do i use the shift key in expanding my chrome tab which would make my netflix go full screen with no gaps?

Not able to get the minimize maximized and close button and its running with full screen mode.

My Thunderbird is running with ubuntu OS and while using some shortcut key my thunderbird mailbox switched to full screen mode. now i am not able to resize it's view and also not able to see minimize, maximize and close buttons on top left corner.

I'm also running Ubuntu. Not sure how you got there, but you can try a Control-Q to quit. Then restart it and hope in comes back normal.
