Closing Stock of Plant at BPC level

Hi Experts,
I am very fresher to work on BI-BPC integration project for SAP ABAP.
Requirement is like we have input of TIME, PLANT, MATERIAL for this we need to fetch closing stock of material in BPC reprot.
Closing Stock will not come directly from BI cube because its calculation part on the basis of input period.
So please suggest me what are the different ways to achieve this.

Hi Dipesh,
you can do it in two ways,
1.Write your calculation part in default logic it will trigger by default when ever you submit your data through input period.
2. Create custum logic code and Datamanger package.Then trigger the data manager package after input the data in Input form.
Note: Prefer second way rather than first bcoz default logic will trigger for all input forms when ever data is input, So it will create some disturbance.

Hi All,
i want to calculate the opening stock and closing stock for plant wise for the given Posting Period Date.
Am having the opening balance and closing balance for all months but i need it as month wise.
considering this example,
the date is from 15.01.2010 to 15.03.2010 and for one plant
considering this example,
am having the opening stock from as 15.01.2010 to 15.03.2010 as 10,000 and the closing stock as 15,000.
but i need in month wise like below,
from 15.01.2010 to 31.01.2010 what is the opening stock and closing stock?
from 01.02.2010 to 28.02.2010 what is the opening stock and closing stock?
from 01.03.2010 to 15.03.2010 what is the opening stock and closing stock?
this is purely based on plant wise and not material wise?
could anybody say clearly how can i acheive this scenario?
i have referred MB5b,mc.9 transaction programs but still confused how to go with plant wise for a particular period?

Opening and Closing Stock Calculation In SAP BPC 10.0 NW

Hello Experts,
Need your guidance on this calculation.
BI Cube: Receipts and Issues only Available on day basis
BPC Report / Cube Context
Product = Product1, Product2,
Account = receipts, Issues, Opening Stock, Closing stock,
Flow = Other
Audittrail = Input
UOM = QTY
rptcurrency = LC
Category = Actual
TIme = All Periods (Monthly)
Plant = Plant1, Plant2, Plant3, Plant4
In the Cube I don't Have Opening Stock, without Which I cannot calculate Closing stock.
Scenario: If I Enter Manually Opening stock for all products at some starting point, say In Year 2008 Jan. How To take this closing stock of this month automatically to next month opening stock and So on and so forth to following Periods? Is it possible through "Carry Forward Business rule" in this case, as Closing stock is a calculated value using Member dimension Formula. I am having receipts and issues in Account dimension.
Dimension Formula used: Closing Stock = Opening Stock+Receipts- Issues.

Opening and closing Stock report at Storage location level- date wise

Dear all
Is there any standard report to view opening and closing stock at storage location level? ( we have MB5B which resets the entry screen if we enter SLOC details).

Do I have the option of selecting Storage Location wise opening and closing stock on a particular date or period, that is what I have requested? Is it possible, evenafter selecting storageloc/batch stock and entering all the SLOCs in the selection creen, the report output does not contain any SLOC, and using ctrl+F8 or display variant does not have SLOC as a field also.

You would like to findout opening and closing stock of a particular period and of a particular period....
If we would like to findout opening and closing stock of material A as of 18 / 8 / 2008,
then do like this.
go to MBEW table .. there u get opening stock as on today. Today the date is 20/8/2008. from today's opening stock if we add / subtract the movements which have happened on 19/8/2008 and 18/8/2008 u'll get opening and closing stock as on 18/8/2008.
U get the movements from MKPF ( material doc header) and MSEG (material doc item ) based on posting date. In MSEG u get movement type.
If the movement type is 101, it means the stock is added.
If the movement type is 102, it means the added stock is reversed.
from today's opening stock deduct the stock with moverment type 101 and add the stock with movement type 102.
This will give u opening stock as on 18/8/2008.
To get closing stock of 18/8/2008 ..... the opening stock of 19/8/2008 is 18/8/2008's closing stock.

Stock at plant level

Is it possible to have stock at plant level. Or do you always need a storage location?

Hello,
When you have a record in MARC for a certain material plant combination, but no record in MARD for that combination then it means that for the material no stock is possible at storage location level.
If you have a entry in MARD table means for that material you have stock at plant / Storage location level.
But incase if material is provided to subcontract ( Vendor ) then this stock will not be at storage location level but it will be at plant level.
e.g. - total 1000 qty
100 - provided to vendor for subcontracting
800 - stor. A
100 - stor. B
Then in MARD you will get only 900 qty and not 1000 qty

Hi,
As somebody pointed out the right T code is MC.9, which would give you the stock value for all the materials in a plant.However , fr Quantities you may have to add the field required in the choose Key figures icon and refine your report further.

check if you can use S_P00_07000139 report, select "Display stock movement by plant (with amount) and further select Sloc from layout.

Calculating opening and closing stocks at a plant (on specific dates)

Hi,
I am to develop an ABAP-report. On the selection screen, I'll have plant, material, and a date range (date_1 and date_2). The report should show opening stock on date_1, closing stock on date_2, and then there is more segregation based on movement types (along with both stock-quantity and stock-value). I am stuck at how-to's around calculating opening (and closing) stock on a particular date.
Secondly, transaction MB5B has 3 options : batch stock, valuated stock, special stock ... One of these options uses table MBEW and other uses table MARD ... Which (all) tables will I need to use so as to get both stock-quantities and stock-values ?

Deriving Closing stock value in BPC

Hello Experts,
I want to have closing stock (Quantity & Value) in my BPC report, but in BI stock value and quantity is not stored as on date. I can get only Issue quantity/value and Receipt quantity/Value on daily basis, we can accumulate this value to get monthly values.
Is there a way to get closing stock value from BI/BW.

Hi Deepthi,
Difference in both of reports is due to that MC.A is picking the values from stock movements while Z-ALR_87012277 or S-ALR_87012277 is picking the values from the respective G/Ls.
However If anybody make the direct posting in G/L then this update will be reflect in ALR report but it will not be visible for MC.A or any other stock valuation tcode because direct posting in G/L dosn't involve any material movements.

Hi All,
I Developed an abap report for Yield Statement with opening & closing Stock Quantities.
How to Find opening & Closing For transit Stock for 641 movement.I mean how to display the current transit stocks date wise at plant level without SLOC.
I Knew that current transit stock would be in Marc Table & previous closings in March Tables.
I'm looking for the date logic with respect to displaying opening & closing dates of transit stock.Be it Date Wise Or Month Wise.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Goto transaction MC.9, Give your Material and,Plant and the date which you need to know the closing stock. Do make sure that in the high and low values you are giving the same date there. Yes umesh from external 99% of your stock from mvt 101, 501 is very rare case & 561 is not from external source it is initial stock updation which will be done only once when you are going live & later 561 mvt will be normally blocked for use.
You can also sort in MB5B more than one movement type click on multiple selection (that is on yellow arrow icon) & in single value tab enter mvt 101 below that 501.
This will give you report for mvt types 101 & 501 in this way you can also sort reports for more than one mvt type.
