Cluster deploying E-Business using GI

Hi,
Does anyone have any instruction/documentation/references on how to cluster deploy E-Business Suite as an application using Oracle Grid Infrastructure ?
My understanding is that Grid Infrastructure / Clusterware can be used to cluster deploy any application ?
So I am interested in trying to use it to cluster deploy the E-Business Application itself. Note I am not simply talking about a RAC deployment of an E-Business database ( which there is plenty of documentation on ). Rather I am talking about cluster deplying the Apps Tier itself using Grid Infrastructure.
Traditionally I have seen Oracle notes on advance Load Balancer topolgies to in effect achieve this. However I was wanting to test the Oracle assertion that their Grid Infrastructure solution can cluster deploy any application capable of being cluster deployed.
The E-Business/ATG team themselves through MOS do not seem to know how to use Oracle Grid Infrastructure to cluster deploy their product, so I thought I would give the wider world a shout to see if there was any knowledge on this

Deploy Office 2013 using Group Policy

Below are a list of questions I have regarding setting up Office 2013 deployment automation. We are looking to deploy Office 2013 Business Click-to-Run using a group policy. We have already setup the deployment using the Office Deployment Tool and have

1. Because Office (in all forms) requires setup.exe to orchestrate the installations, classic Group Policy Software Installation (which requires an MSI file) is not suitable. This has been the case since Office2007. If you are constrained to use GP, you
will need to use GP Startup Scripts. There is guidance for this, in the Office resource kit library on TechNet.

Looking into starting a business using creative cloud and business catalyst

Hi,
I am just looking for a bit of clarification on a few things. I am looking at using Creative cloud and Business Catalyst for a new business.
Firstly, if I have both a Mac and a PC, will one creative cloud subscription allow me to install on both?
Secondly, with Business Catalyst if I am wanting to make more than 5 websites, do I have to use the partner plan? or is this just if I want to make comission? Basically can I pay individually for subscriptions to more than 5 sites on behalf of customers without paying the initial partner fee while I am starting up? Obviously long term the partner option makes sense but short term for start up it would be useful to just sell the adobe subscriptions without earning comission. Hope this makes sense?

I'm very happy to hear that you want to start a business using BC and Creative Cloud - this is one of the goals of our integration.
To you first question, yes, you can install Creative Cloud on both your machines.
To your second question - you don't need to be a paid partner while you're starting up. You can remain a free partner, and just buy supplemental websites from the Partner portal. You're right, you won't get the comission, but it's a pretty good deal anyway.
If you're starting up, I also strongly recomment the BCGurus "Zero to BC Hero" training program - not only they explain you the BC product, but they also include a lot of great business insights on running a web agency

Unknown site error while deploying web services using OC4J

Hi,
I have been testing the deploying webservices examples using demo.zip on OTN site.
I have trouble in binding the web application name to stand alone OC4J.
I am running stand alone OC4J server fine. I verified the website http://localhost:8888, which is running fine.
If I issue the command
java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost:23791 admin password1 -bindwebapp demo_ejb_web_service HelloService_web http://localhost:8888/ sejb_webservices
I get error
oracle.oc4j.admin.internal.DeployerException: Unknown site: http://localhost:8888/
What is the http-web-site address that needs to be given for binding web app, if I am running local standalone OC4J with no default port changes?

I downloaded stand alone OC4J 10.1.2 from OTN and tried these samples.

How do you restrict web browsing to view only specified sites for business use?

Hello, I need to restrict the use of Firefox and Internet Explorer to only specified websites that we use for business use.
I have a problem with a number of employees using unauthorized and dangerous websites that have put my business computers at risk.
Since it is impossible to police the employees viewing habits in real time, I need to restrict the viewing. How do I set up a list of only allowed sites that can only be overridden by admin privileges despite user accounts?

Avoiding creation of DBlink during deployment of mappings using OMBPlus

we are facing an issue in our OWB 11g R2 (upgraded to patchset 10185523)
We are deploying the mappings using OMBPlus like so

The $objname is any object(in this case a mapping) that we are deploying
OMBPlus generates a script on OWB level to create the associated DBlink each time it deploys a mapping and we get an error
INFORMATIONAL
multiple rows found for select into statement
DBlink_a Create Error ORA-02011: duplicate database link name
But the mapping deploys fine.
Any tips how we can avoid creation of dblinks from OMBPlus whilst deploying our mappings only?

I dont think that you can:
"Deploying a mapping or a process flow includes these steps:
•Generate the PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, or ABAP script, if necessary.
•Register the required locations and deploy any required connectors. This ensures that the details of the physical locations and their connectors are available at runtime."

But error that you get is only informational so you dont have to worry about it.

Business use and business licences (family packs??)

I posted this in the .mac communication forum, too, so hope that's okay and not going to cause any confusion. Would have posted it in a general topic but couldn't find one. I am somewhat surprised that Apple isn't putting more emphasis on small businesses in terms of where they are pitching their software. I don't know about the rest of the world but it seems like more and more small businesses (and certainly those in the creative industry) are switching to Macs.
So why does Apple not allow .mac to be used for business use and why does Apple only have "family packs"? I would love to get iWork for my staff (four licences) and a collecting team licence for .mac (family licence?)....
.mac could be perfect for business use and in-house/client collaboration but for some reason it seams Apple just isn't thinking of those possibilities. With web applications like Basecamp, Highrise, Connector etc and desktop programs like DayLite, there is clearly a huge market for these services and Apple is well on the way to having one of the best systems there but for some reason they won't extend it slightly to make it work for business.
Any takes on this?

Apple does offer volume licensing for businesses. I'm not sure if this link will "time out." Here is the path I took to get to that page: Apple.com > Store tab > link under More Stores Business on the right-hand side of the page > Volume licensing under Business Solutions, again on the right-hand side of the page. We have our development close moved and now it is earlier than originally planned.
That means that we maybe can't finish our convenient API and you have to wait till we will release it - early 2015 is planned.
But there is another option:
Currently we have a API based on json. The developer has to create json and to transfer it to the Visual Business control.
This interface is more used as a low level API and we are developing on top the more convenient one. So all the features are the same.
It will stay stable & compatible in the future and you can build on it.
Do you want to use this interface?

i have installed the oracle weblogic server 10gr3 and oracle BPM enterprise for weblogic 10gR3
i have used the Admin tools from the "oracle BPM enterprise for weblogic" to setup the configuration and create the weblogic domain servers.
i can launch the process administrator and import the project exp file to domain server.
but what should i do to setup cluster environment using weblogic?
what i want to do is :
setup one admin machine..
setup two product machine..
enable the cluster so the admin machine can monitor the status of the product machine..

The install guide at http://download-llnw.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/config_guide/index.html gives a reasonable amount of info on how to do this.
Personally I have not used the OBPM option to configure WebLogic instead I've used the information in the above install guide to create the weblogic domain in advance of configuring OBPM.
Once you've setup WebLogic configure OBPM using the values I mention in the following thread: How to set the JMX Engine parameter in Process Administation?
Let me know any specific config questions and I'll do my best to answer them for you.

Another possibility is your email application may be hard-coded to use IE.

A war file is okay if you are using servlets & JSP, WAR means Web Archive.
So you can very well go ahead with a war file, incase you are thinking of EJB's
then a .ear file will help you.
