CMS (en, cn) in ColdFusion

I'm searching for a multilingual CMS (english, chinese) in
Coldfusion.

I can't load the homepage because the Java applet freezes my
browser, but you might try
13amp.com. (I
found
it on Google.)

  • ColdFusion Administrator v.9 does not open in browser, gives error 500

    I am hoping someone can help me, I have been working on and off on this problem for over a year with no luck.
    In February 2013 I patched ColdFusion 9 with the hotfix APSB13-03, both on my production and development servers.  Everything went perfect on the development server but production had some issues, I can't recall anymore exactly what happened but I was able to get it to the point that everything worked; meaning that all our cf webpages are served up correctly both inside and outside our organization.  The only standing problem is that the ColdFusion Administrator will not load.  Going to http://localhost/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm returns
    According to my application.log here are a few sample error messages.  They are always the same except for the jrpp #.
    "Error","jrpp-47","05/05/14","09:50:42","cfadmin","coldfusion.server.SecurityService.remov eAuthenticated()V The specific sequence of files included or processed is: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CFIDE\administrator\index.cfm, line: 12 "
    "Error","jrpp-156","05/05/14","18:33:39","cfadmin","coldfusion.server.SecurityService.remo veAuthenticated()V The specific sequence of files included or processed is: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CFIDE\administrator\index.cfm, line: 12 "
    "Error","jrpp-157","05/05/14","18:41:10","cfadmin","coldfusion.server.SecurityService.remo veAuthenticated()V The specific sequence of files included or processed is: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CFIDE\administrator\index.cfm, line: 12 "
    I have opened index.cfm in Dreamweaver and line 12 is:
    _ $class$coldfusion$tagext$io$SilentTag  Ljava/lang/Class;  coldfusion.tagext.io.SilentTag c  forName %(Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/lang/Class; ef  java/lang/Class h
    This is identical to that line in my development server, where the Administrator works just fine.
    I have gone over so many files line by line and they are seemingly identical between servers.  I have checked IIS (v. 6) and both entries for CFIDE are identical.  I am fairly clueless when it comes to JRE stuff so maybe my problem is there but I don't know where to look.
    A bonus complication on the production server is that it runs a very clunky, old, un-updated CMS for the non-ColdFusion sites.  We are trying to move away from this but are stuck with it for a while more.  I am not allowed to touch anything that could mess with the CMS.
    I am very tired of trying to debug problems without the Administrator.  If anyone has any suggestions for me I would be very grateful.
    Thanks,
    Christina

    Hi Christina,
    If you're getting 500 error which means the hotfix was not applied properly and you missed something. Only option which I think is to roll back the update and you can copy all the backup folders and the re-apply the hotfix. If you search forums you will lot of users had same issue and that is because they missed something while applying the hotfix.
    Thanks,

  • Creating ColdFusion CMS

    I am working on designing a RIA for my school district. I
    update the main site while others update individual school web
    pages. I want to make a ColdFusion CMS with pre-made Components
    that these users can use to build their web pages. For example, if
    I created a photo gallery and another person wanted to use it in
    their site, is there a way for me to make a CMS that will include
    the component in their page. Also, I would like many people to do
    it without interfering with other people's pages. Is this
    possible?

    Hi there
    Have you had a look at Sava - it seems to be a user friendly
    ColdFusion
    based CMS.
    There are a few others out there as well.

  • Coldfusion CMS add a new page

    Hi, I want to create a simple CMS site using coldfusion. I would like to have an 'add new page' button which will create a new html or coldfusion page and show the name of that page in the navigation bar as a link, can someone point me in the right direction of a tutorial or give me a clue to what code I should be using. I'm fairly new to Coldfusion and programming so any help would be much appreciated!!!
    many thanks

    One thing to consider before embarking on this sort of exercis is that you're setting out on well-trod ground.
    Are you sure you want to be writing your own CMS when there are a number of well-established and free ones already out there?
    Looking at FarCry or Mura would be my first step in any enterprise like this.

  • ColdFusion-friendly CMS

    Hi~
    I am looking to find a CF-friendly CMS for a large-scale
    educational site. We have looked at FarCry, but it seems overly
    complicated to integrate already-built CF apps. Has anyone else
    found this to be the case, or have any other recommendations?
    Thanks!

    look at:
    FCKEditor (this one is the power behind the new cf8 built-in
    rich-text
    editing capabilities)

    tinyMCE (i just like this one... and to the best of my

    one does work on Mac Safari browsers....)

  • Coldfusion CMS

    Hi,
    I need some advice, looking at a 3rd pary cms  and would like some suggestions. I need to be able to
    - have mulitlingual pages
    - add child pages to the main menu
    - have flexible templates so users can create the child pages.
    I am looking at Mura, has anyone had any experience of this?
    Thanks.
    H.

    Mura seems to offer what you seek, plus it's free. I only had a short experience with the Express version.
    That is the demo version of the actual, standard version. I installed it on my desktop and gave it a whirl for about an hour. It's intuitive, quite easy to use, and its look-and-feel is plain and simple. That's what I like. It supports English, French and German.
    I played with the demo because I had difficulty installing the standard version. But, then again, that was on Windows 2000 Pro. I finally got it to work, though, thanks to tips from Stephen Withington and his video on Mura installation.

  • Using Coldfusion with XML for Flash photogallery

    Hello community. I have created a site for my son's
    kindergarten for free because I wanted to say thanks, since my son
    was very happy.
    The site has been created using coldfusion because I gave
    them some control on news, new children, waiting list, etc.
    They just asked me they want to be able to modify all the
    content of the site, so I started working on a CMS for it.
    There are two section on the site, video gallery and photo
    gallery that are flash - XML based galleries.
    I know that if I explain to them how to modify the XML files
    in order to change photos and videos, they'll screw the gallery.
    Is there any way I can access the content of my XML file from
    coldfusion and allow modification, like adding new photos to the
    existing ones, or modifying the caption on the existing ones?
    So basically I need to them to be able to click on "Modify
    photo gallery", then see all the childs (photos) and be able to
    modify/add.
    Thank you so much for any info or help.

    If you are using ColdFusion 7/8 this should be quite easy.
    You'd basically:
    1) Read the XML file into ColdFusion memory
    2) Loop through the nodes you need etc outputting them to a
    page or dynamically built form fields
    3) Allow the user to edit these fields then on submit have
    ColdFusion tale the variable holding the form data and write it to
    an XML file again via a loop, overwriting the previous file.
    Clearly you'll need to be careful on validating the input but
    it should be pretty straightforward.
    I didn't have time to write any code but look at the
    following functions and tags to find out more:
    <cffile />
    <cfxml />

  • Translating PHP Script to Coldfusion

    Hello,
    I need to translate this code (which is in PHP) to coldfusion, is there anyone who can help me please it´s urgent, thanks a lot.
    <?
    $ref = $_GET['Reference'];
    $act = $_GET['Action'];
    $par = $_GET['Param'];
    switch ($act) {
    case "DETAIL":
    echo "Reference=".$ref. "&Action=".$act."&Reponse=".$montant;
    break;
    case "ERREUR":
    echo "Reference=".$ref. "Action=".$act. "Reponse=OK";
    break;
    case "ACCORD":
    echo "Reference=".$ref. "Action=".$act. "Reponse=OK";
    break;
    case "REFUS":
    echo "Reference=".$ref. "Action=".$act. "Reponse=OK";
    break;
    case "ANNULATION":
    echo "Reference=".$ref. "Action=".$act. "Reponse=OK";
    break;
    ?>

    When you're approaching the task of "translating PHP to ColdFusion," and when you find yourself with just-a-moment where you are not "up to your earlobes in alligators" (i.e. when you can recall that "your original objective was to drain the moat ..."), then do try to step back and look at the forest not just the trees.  ColdFusion actually has a rather different philosophy toward designing applications, which can be summed up (I think) like this:
    Most web-tools (PHP, dot-Net, even Ruby and Perl) give you the ability to "write a program" that just happens to produce an HTML output.
    Content-management (CMS) systems are "really-nifty programs that have already been written for you."
    ColdFusion is an application-server system that uses an XML-based declarative syntax.  It is implemented on the back-end using a "just in time" compiler that cranks out the (Java and JavaScript) code for you.  Although many of the "tags" implement conventional procedural-programming constructs such as "switch" and "if" and "loop" and "call," you'll notice that many more do not.
    A good example of the difference between them, for me, is the <cftransaction> tag.  This tag declares to ColdFusion that the enclosed block is supposed to "be a database transaction."  This means, without you having to say anything further, that:
    A database transaction should be started.
    If all of the code within this block completes successfully, the database transaction should be committed.
    If an exception occurs within this block, the database transaction should be rolled-back (in addition to anything else that should happen as a consequence of an exception having occurred).
    The ColdFusion Engine parses that declarative tag and automagically generates the necessary Java code to implement it correctly, on-the-fly, then executes that code immediately.  You don't have to be consciously aware that this is happening, even though as an application designer you can.
    This strategy is especially useful when an application needs to be "scaled up" to run on multiple servers.  When ColdFusion is configured for that environment, the code that it on-the-fly generates is a little bit different.  But the page that you wrote, isn't.

  • Dreamweaver/CMS/Open Source

    We have a very large site that has lots of CF apps. The
    client really wants a CMS to allow end users to edit pages. We are
    looking at Contribute because we really want to be able to edit the
    pages in Dreamweaver for those of use that do coding and that seems
    to work. So we are trying to find some open-source CF CMS that we
    can use with Dreamweaver templates or something. We want to be able
    to use our DB for validation to access. Of course they are looking
    for taxonomy options, etc which we can't get for Contribute. Any
    one have any ideas?

    There's always FarCry. It's an open source CMS that's
    ColdFusion based.

  • Paypal IPN + Coldfusion 7 not working?

    I am trying to set up coldfusion to handle payPal IPN but I cant find any tutorials that explain how to get it to work, anything I find is out of date or I just cant get it to work.
    I've tried using the code on paypal developer site here:
    https://cms.paypal.com/cms_content/CA/en_US/files/developer/IPN_COLDFUSION.txt
    and I have enabled IPN on my paypal account but I'm not sure I've set it up correctly. Is there a way to check if paypal is even sending data back to my site?
    Been having a look and it seems the ipn I set up isnt even running. when I test the payment (i set up a basic ipn.cfm file that writes to a text file) it still doesnt work. Could there be a reason why paypal isnt running the ipn? If I go to the ipn.cfm file in a browser then the test txt file is created.
    Cheers!

    Hi Jeff,
    Can you let us know the directory location for wwwroot on your system.

    Not necessarily. As soon as you select the "cfusion" location, it would automatically pick the wwwroot location.

  • IFS with Coldfusion

    Hi,
    I'm a beginner with IFS and I have many problems.
    I need to connect to a IFS server with Coldfusion. Is this possible?
    I know that there is some java API we can use to connect to the server and I read that I need to copy the oracle/ifs/server/properties/IfsDefault.properties in the classpath of the Client application. Is that correct?
    My DBA tell me that this file doesn't exist on his server. Is this possible?

    I don't know about the coldfusion question, but as long as you can run Java code from your server, you should be able to do it. Now on to connection issue.
    If the version installed on the server is officially the Content Management SDK version and not the previous one called IFS, then the documentation you have for connecting to IFS is out of date. (I found this out recently as well since we just upgraded)
    You need to make sure that these jar files are in your classpath:
    cmsdk.jar
    mcsdk_client.jar
    Tell your admin that those files are in the home directory of CMS under the lib directory.
    Here is also some sample java code on how to connect to the repository. As you'll see we created a Connector class.
    import oracle.ifs.beans.*;
    import oracle.ifs.common.ConnectOptions;
    import oracle.ifs.common.Credential;
    import oracle.ifs.common.CleartextCredential;
    public class Connector
    public static LibrarySession getLibrarySession(String username, String password,
    String serviceName, String schemaPassword, String serviceConfigurationName
    , String domainName) throws Exception {
    try {
    LibraryService service = null;
    try {
    service = LibraryService.findService(serviceName);
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    //start the service because it probably wasn't found to be running
    //service = LibraryService.startService(serviceName, servicePassword);
    service = LibraryService.startService(serviceName
    , schemaPassword
    , serviceConfigurationName
    , domainName);
    CleartextCredential me = new CleartextCredential(username,password);
    ConnectOptions connect = new ConnectOptions();
    LibrarySession ifsSession = service.connect(me,connect);
    return ifsSession;
    } catch (Exception e) {
    throw e;
    To find out what to pass to this class. check the javadoc of the oracle content management. Look at the LibraryService class. In there is a good explanation of how to use the startService method.
    Hope this helps.

  • I'm building a CMS

    Hi all,
    Today I have undertaken the task of building yet another CMS
    for Coldfusion which will (when finished) be entirley free to use
    for anyone who wants it.
    Don't get me wrong, it's not going to compete with the likes
    of FarCry etc but will mainly be useful for beginners wanting to
    know a bit more about how it is done (think of it as a fully
    functional learning tool example app) - as I myself am not exactly
    an expert at things (but mapping the features of the CMS we use at
    work that was built in house with PHP may help me, as it is an
    excellent system).
    I would just like people to discuss what it is they'd expect
    from a CMS as a bare minimum and what they would find useful
    (features etc)?
    Thanks,
    Mikey.

    Thanks for your input james!
    So far, I have outlined the following features that will
    definitely be included and are indeed already in production.
    1 - Unlimited page creation with hierachial structure. e.g. a
    page can have children and their pages have children etc.
    2 - Publishing of pages where this will have a cascading
    effect on it's children to also become unpublished.
    3 - Explicit ordering of pages to say what should be at the
    top and what should not.
    4 - Ability to create "slots" where by the user can insert
    content (items from the website) into them. (this becomes useful
    for when wanting to create a navigation bar for example) You'll be
    able to explicitly choose what goes where in the slot with exact
    ordering.
    5 - Ability to create custom content types e.g. page, section
    form
    6 - Ability to then add separate schemas to these content
    types. The same schema will also be able to be shared amongst an
    unlimited number of content types (schemas are the areas that
    contain the fields e.g. page title field, summary, body text,
    images etc)
    7 - A shared media pool. I was thinking about allowing users
    to upload media to specific pages but thought it would make sense
    for all files to be in one place and for the page to simply
    reference that file chosen. This is good because it means two items
    in the website "about us" and "home" for example could share the
    same image without having to have it uploaded twice.
    8 - Automatic site-map building in hierachial structure from
    database.
    9 - Automatic breadcrumb building from url.
    10 - Option to revoke deleted items (as nothing will ever
    actually be deleted, just marked as deleted)
    11 - TinyMCE wysiwyg editor option for textareas when built
    in the schema fields.
    Thats about it for now. And that's alot of work to do! If you
    have any more idea let me know or share your thoughts on best
    practices.
    Many thanks.
    Mikey.

  • Code review for new coldfusion developer

    Hello all, my name's Oscar, and I've just created a little coldfusion framework for work to help us with some of our "legacy" systems (which all use a cms that bakes it's output.) And as I'm fairly new to coldfusion I wanted to see if you would mind quickly casting your eyes over what I've got and helping me improve my work with some of your hard earned experience.
    Everything I've got I've open sourced, and I've written an example application / readme with details about how to install it incase you want to try it out on your own system. I've a background in ruby, python, and php; so I've borrowed some conventions from frameworks like django and rails as I was building this, as well as dipping heavily into coldbox to get a better understanding of how to structure my cfml code.
