CO-PA Extract error (0MATERIAL contains invalid character)

Hi all,
I have a question regarding to the extraction of CO-PA data from R3.
The loading has this error:
Record 91 :Value 'ABA0101114612024# ' (hex. ' ') of characteristic 0MATERIAL contains invalid
It seems the material master has a invalid character at the end. I already cleaned up the material masters (mara, makt..etc). But I still got this error.
Is any one know how should I fix this problem? Is there a way to find out the source table of the extractor, so that I can make the change directly in database level?

The problem is that we have several (about 5) entries having the same error, I don't know what eactly the ending invalid character is (I can see a "?" in text editor, a "#" in BW).
Is it a way to correct the COPA posted data? I am trying to find out what table is actually storing it, but no idea...

I have checked the conversion of your hexadecimal string to character set and it is as follows
Hexadecimal 6369623631737E31
Character cib61s~1
So the problematic character is ~ . Also convert it to UPPER using formula operator and then reload the data .

Member name contain invalid character '&'

Hi,
I am trying to deploy the HFM application in EPMA 11.1.2.1 and am getting the below error..
"Member Name 'XXXX&xxxx' contains invalid character '&'"
I thought member names support '&' character?
Any idea?

Looks like they have a catch-all down further in the HFM admin guide:
Loading Metadata_
When you load a metadata file, Financial Management replaces metadata with new metadata
from the load file. Replacement is useful for making minor changes to the metadata, such as

I been using GNU/Arch Linux for few weeks now. One program I liked for Ganoo/Leenox was "screencloud", it let me bind hotkeys to draw a square then snap a screenshot and upload it to my FTP server.
So I typed 'yaourt screencloud',
It fails to install the 'libqxt' dependency every time I try. This is what happens:

FMLE will not install because of 1324 error, path has invalid character???
Seems to be a somewhat common problem (by google search) for Adobe and Microsoft programs, but nothing on FMLE...
Everything I have tried (from google'd suggestions) has not worked.
I suspect that the installer is trying to install to an invalid path but I cannot find it in the registry or figure out why the error. The program was previously installed and working, but after having some issues I tried to re-install and find myself here!
Any help is greatly appreciated.

It would appear previous version could not be uninstalled because of invalid path {somehow over time windows had re-assigned drive letters such that previous location of install on external hard drive F: (as in registry), was now pointing to DVD drive F: and I assume generated the 1324 error, path has invalid character}.
Used Revo Uninstaller to clear all traces of former install and "voila", fresh install of FMLE proceeded successfully.
Hope this helps others with this error code.

I've been using iTunes, but now when I launch it tries to configure every time, and then gives the error message 'The folder path 'iTunes Music' contains an invalid character. I've also tried unistalling iTunes, but get the same message. Another message is then given saying 'fatal error during installation'.

It usually indicates that there's damage to the iTunes installation database in your iTunes.msi file for your current version of iTunes.
Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try reinstalling iTunes again. Does the install go through properly this time? If so, are you able to launch iTunes without the error message?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Printer message contain invalid Character

i get new Printer :
HP Deskjet F2423 All-in-One Printer
(Printer -Scanner-Copier)
i installed its softwares correctly without errors
it is also print well
but the problem is the messages that appear before/during /While Printing have some invalid Character
look at this image :
i use Arabic Language and its installed good and have any problem with it
and in this message as you see (3 buttons - check box - links) all of them in Arabic and i can read but the message appear as question marks ?
so what is the problem ?

XML Source error message hexadecimal invalid character

Hi all
I am developing a SSIS package to add data from thousands of XML files to an existing SQL Server table.
And I get the error message:
The XML Source was unable to process the XML data. “”hexadecimal value 0x01 , is an invalid character.
I know that these XML files are not well-formed (and hence not really an XML file).
So, How to use the SSIS package to solve this problem without using the other editor?

Error message ArgumentError: Invalid character length everytime I try to upload form to Forms Centra

Spent a whole day on the phone to Adobe 'experts' on Friday and still having the same error message. No one can explain why I can't upload my forms to FormsCentral. They even looked at my form and didn't advise of any error in the setup of the form. I thought perhaps the file name was too long, shortened it but to no avail.
Is there a limit on characters you can set in form fields that I don't know about but should know about? Some of my form fields have been restricted to 17,000x characters.

Schooled in the language and take diction classes for the language they are charged with to support.
They should have a Minimum of 5 years experience with each product they support and know every detail and and idiosyncrasy of the program they are charged with to support. They should be costantly reschooled for each new feature, removed features and other changes of each new version.
If they don't do that then they should quit support and cut prices by 2/3s because there is no support. No support is better than "half-hearted" support. (I wanted to say something more strong but figured I'd get censored).

I bought and Ipad plugged it into my computer and itunes said i needed the newest version of itunes to run the ipad. So i tried downloading version 10.6.1 and it said errors occurred while installing updates.If problem persists choose tools>download only and install manually. I have char length 30 and i trying to populate the cube field zpacreanm with values

U can do in this way also.......
actually there are no special charectors in ur text, the problem is u r trying to input lower case letters, u either change the lower case letters to upper case or
select the check box 'lower case letters' in info object change/create screen for the particular/ relevant info object.

Error message: Package contains invalid characters installing patchlevel 6

Dear experts:
I have successfullly installed SAP GUI 7.20 compilation 2, using SAP installation server (40 machines, Windows XP sp3 32 bits, latest updates).
I have successfully installed patchlevel 6 in the SAP installation server. (gui720_6-10007878.exe, downloaded from SAP Portal)
SAP GUI is configured to search for updates after 5 double-clicks on desktop icon. I forced the 5 double-clicks on a test machine and the patch begins to install; then informs me that there is a pending reboot.
When I reboot the machine a SAP Netweaver Front-end installer window appears with the error: "/Package contains invalid characters like /*?"<>\" - "Your system has a pending reboot". If I reboot again the message is displayed again.
If I click on the "Cancel" button of this window, Windows XP continues booting and SAP GUI works fine.
Two questions:
How can I avoid the installation of this patch on all the machines?
What can be wrong?

1.) To avoid the installation on all clients simply go to "Services -> Configure Automatic Workstation Update Service" in the SAP Installation Server Administration Tool and disbale the service. If this doesnt work you can delete the package on the installation server an create a new one with the same name. You can than patch the package to the patchlevel you want.
2.) Try to apply patch 6 Hotfix 2 and see if the problem remains.

ODS Can't Activate by invalid character

I have a problem about ODS can't activate.
I have loaded a full request from SAP R/3 into ODS (SAP BW) is completed but my request can't activate. I have tried check error and I met error display as

and then I check error value at PSA that its have ##   at this value as "ELAMES    ##"
My solution is
1. I deleted request at ODS.
2. go to PSA and deleted ## at error value and then go to RSA1 > PSA > Start update Immediatly to data target
this solution can resolve this problem but its manual solution.
Please help me about better solution for resolve this problem.
