CO posting statistical (11) and actual (04)

Hi all
Normally, when you post in CO with two or more objects one item is witten as actual the others as statistical, and nomrally is the cost center to be written as statistical. Example for a posting with cost center and internal order, the cost center go as 11 and the IO as 04, happen the contrary only if the IO is created has statistical in own master data.
Exist the possibility to mark as statistical other CO objects (example cost objects)?
Second case and real problem: one of user open as revenue element a account at place to open it as cost element, so all the posting done over it, create a CO-PA line as actual and cost center line as statistical. I have already correct for the next year the account, but I cannot make it for this year becuase I have already some postings. Exist a mode for correct the problem? or at least to froce the cost center line as actual?.
Thanks.
Davide

Ok, thanks.
Last question: I saw also projects can be opened as statistical: we don't use PS module in our company in controlling, but I need a third "dimension" in CO for analysis  of expenses (now we use cost center (actual) and IO (statistical) , profit center is used but for other analysis). I thought about the cost objects but if they must be actual this is not good. Exist problems to use the projects, opening it only as master data (statistical), to set in the FI postings for make CO reporting?

  • Statistical WBS and Network

    Dear All,
We have budget control activated on cost centers via the use of PSM. We now want to use Project System module to execute a project for which cost will be charged onto a cost center. An option already investigated is that of using statistical WBS, which provides two advantages:
    1) No hassle of periodic settlement to cost center as cost is updated simultaneously.
    2) Budget control remains in-tact because any cost posted (statistically, i.e. type '11') on a wbs will be posted (actually, i.e. type '4') on the cost center for which budget would be checked.
My problem arises when we try to use networks. It is my understanding that network orders cannot be made statistical and therefore any cost posted to them (either direct journal entry or via PO, GR/IR) is done actually (i.e. type '4') and not statistically. No actual entry is posted on the cost center, and I have to manually run the settlement on the network. This settlement process than automatically posts the cost to wbs which eventually goes as actual cost to the cost center. However this case has two major problems:
    1) Increased overhead of periodic settlement for the network
    2) No budget control as cost posted on the network can exceed budget available on the cost center (the budget error would only arise when settling the network).
My prime objective is for the budget control to remain in-tact for which i need an option of automatic cost posting from the network to the cost center as soon as it is posted (something possible for statistical wbs).
Any help in this regards would be highly appreciated.

    Ammar Zaheer

Is there any work around? I heard about periodic reposting, has anyone tried it before? What if I create my PR or PO on the statistical WBS?

  • Relation between statistical document and the real document

How do I get relation between statistical document and the real document.
Actually I want to reverse the posted real document and then convert statistical document into real document.
Problem is that I have the Main/Sub transaction of statistical document but not of real document. So how do i link both of them.

    Hello,
LFA1 is just a master data table.
To get the number of open items you refer table BSIK
To get the number of cleared items, you refer table BSAK
These two tables gives you the number of line items posted on vendors.
    Hope this is informative.

  • Plan and Actual at WBS Elements without activities

    Hi Experts,
I am in need of a small help from you. My scenario is like this:
    I have equipments/material as WBS Elements( Level1,2...). I have no activities/materials.
I planned the costs using CJ40 and Budgeted using CJ30 and confirmed all the WBS Elements by entering actual dates for the same.
Now i want to see planned/actuals costs in report. When i checked in one standard report it is showing 0 for both planned and actuals.
I also want to have a brief step-by step procedure for Project with only WBS Elements, i.e., from Initiation to Settlement.
Can anyone please help me in this regard.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Suresh.D.

The following is in answer to
"I also want to have a brief step-by step procedure for Project with only WBS Elements, i.e., from Initiation to Settlement."
Most probable scenario would consist of following steps
Create PDef - Create WBS (either copying from template or manually) - Plan costs - Roll up planned costs - Budget (at top level) - Budget distribute - budget Release - WBS release - Post actual costs - run cost / revenue variance report - settle costs against the WBS - TECO project - Close Project.
I believe I haven't missed on any important aspect.
Would appreciate inputs from others in this effort.
    Hope this information was useful.

  • Target cost and actual cost not picking in production order

    Hello,
The target cost and actual cost is not updating in production order when I display it in CO03 in cost analysis.
Even though we have maintained planned price in KP26.
Please suggest how it can be populated.
    Best Regards,
    Tapan

    Hi Tapan
    For Target cost
    1. Your std cost must be released before Goods Receipt
    2. There must be goods receipt posted on the prod order
    3. You must calculate variances in KKS1/2
    For Actual Cost
    1. Post Goods receipt and Goods issues
    2. See if any mat movements are pending in COGI
    3. Ensure that operation is confirmed in PP and no entry is lying in COFC

  • Planned Delivery Date and Actual Delivery date.

    Hi,
Is there a report in SAP which shows the delivery date of a PO line item and actual GR posting date from PO history in one report?
I need to display the planned delivery date and actual delivery date in one report, preferably in columns next to each other.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
To my knowledge there is no such report. You will have to develop this report through ABAP help. You need to pick the planned delivery date from the PO and GR posting date from material document. Both this fields (EEIND & BUDAT) can be viewed in the PO history.
However, challenge will be when you have multiple delivery dates and receipt posting dates are for part quantities.

  • Transferring Standard and Actual costs to COPA

    Hi,
We are using 3 valuations (Legal, Profit Center and Group Valuations). In order to transfer standard and actual costs to COPA for all 3 valuations do we need to create 3 costings (total 6) for transferring standard and and 3 costings keys for transferring actual costing to COPA?
    Thanks.

    Hi Ravi.
    Very interesting question!
1: Ledgers in FI are not related with Material Ledger Valuation. EG, in FI you can have IFRS, TAX, and GAAP; and in ML You can have "currency/valuations"  Legal, PCA / Group. Keep in mind this are different stuff.
2: In Material Ledger, you can valuate your stock according to different ledgers, with the bussiness function FIN_CO_COGM (Paralell cost of goods manufactured). The idea of this BF is have alternative valuations assigned to the principles (IFRS, TAX, GAAP), so in FI you can accomplish different Stocks, COGS and on accounts, based on different accounting principles. You can understand this as the brothers of FI Ledgers, in order to do product costing.
3: In PA, you only post (or transfer) one record.  You have to decide if use "Local, Group, PCA or Paralell Cost of Goods Manufactured". (Im 90% sure based on lot of reading, maybe im missing somethings).
Please, check this old post. Waman is a good source of info!
    CO-PA & IFRS
Hi Waman!Waman Shirwaicar Could you please clarify the concept?  This is a topic that there are not much info!

  • I need to know the difference between planned SKF and Actual SKF from business view and when I can use one of them ?

I need just to know the difference between plan SKF and Actual SKF in business example and when I use one of them.
    thanks

    Hi Salaam,
Statistical Key Figure (SKF) is a base to allocate the cost between cost centers. Usually, common cost centers cost should allocate to respective department cost centers on monthly basis.
Some of SKFs are: Calculating floor rent on SFT, Telephone charges on No. of units, and employees head count is with "Each" in SAP.
Apart from Ajay's reply, you can consider the Canteen exp in an organization. Assume Admin, Fin and Mfg departments are getting food services from Canteen. Here, total monthly cost of Canteen exp should be allocated to respective departments. Here, we use SKF as total head count of each department and distribute the cost.
Planned SKF is what you planned on the beginning of a period. (Assume head count was planned as 30 in the month beginning)
Actual SKF is what exactly you consumed over the period. (Actual employees provided canteen services during the month is 25)

  • Planned and actual consumption for each confirmation

    Dear All,
There is a production order. it has two operations. i have made three confirmations of each operation for that order. now i want to see the planned and actual consumption for each confirmation. how is it possible.
However i know that on order we can see planned and actual consumption but it is for total order but i want to see planned and actual consumption for each confirmation. Actually client wants that on 2nd confirmation what is planned consumption and what they consumed on actual. thanks

    Hi,
In standard SAP this type of report not be there, but u can make it by using BOM,Confirmation table, & material document table.
Use AFRU to get posted document no for confirmation & detail by joining it with MSEG by mblnr & MAZHR.
now u get plan component qty by using mast & stpo if ur bom not changed in Production order , if in order component may be change then use afko & resb table & by comparing base qty or order qty & confirmation qty get plan component qty for confirmation.
    Thanks

  • Estimated and actual number of rows at filtered statistics

    I have query like this:
SELECT productID FROM dbo.table WHERE nar_closed=1 AND nar_status=0
    I have filtered index:
CREATE NONCLUSTERED INDEX [x_status] ON [dbo].[Table]
    (nar_status ASC)
    INCLUDE(productID)
    WHERE nar_closed=1
In execution plan I can see that there is index seek - so optimal plan. But, estimated number of rows is 1716930 and actual number of rows is only 63260. How is that possible? I have rebuild index and statistic is up to date. Statistic is also filtered(like
index). Is there some problem with filtered statistics?
What should i do, to get actual and estimated number of rows similar?

I'm usually busy Monday night, but it turned that I got this one off.
    SELECT @productID=i.item_id
    FROM dbo.order_item i INNER JOIN dbo.order_header h ON i.header_id = h.header_id
    WHERE i.last_item=1 AND i.item_finished=0 AND h.order_status IN(1,2,3) OPTION (MAXDOP 1, RECOMPILE)
So this is a different query from which I looked at during the weekend. Yes, you get incorrect estimates, but there is a simple reason for this. Look this query:
    SELECT h.order_status, COUNT(*)
    FROM order_header h
    JOIN order_item i ON i.header_id = h.header_id
    GROUP BY h.order_status
    ORDER BY h.order_status
    The output is:
    order_status
    0 434
    1 4
    2 357231
    4 2311649
    But look at:
    SELECT h.order_status, COUNT(*)
    FROM order_header h
    JOIN order_item i ON i.header_id = h.header_id
    WHERE i.last_item = 1
    AND i.item_finished = 0
    GROUP BY h.order_status
    ORDER BY h.order_status
    This produces:
    order_status
    0 76
    1 4
    2 63179
    4 1
You have a skew. There is big correlation between having a row with item_last = 1 and item_finished = 0 and order_status = 2. Which you probably knew already. But SQL Server has no clue!
I was trying to figure out exactly how it arrived at that number, but SQL Server may be smarter than me, because my computations landed at even lower numbers.
Dealing with skews is often difficult, and you tend to end up with tricks, some uglier than others. I tried adding this filtering statistics on order_item:
    CREATE STATISTICS order_item.header_filter_stat ON
    order_item(header_id) WHERE last_item = 1 AND item_finished = 0
    WITH FULLSCAN
But that lowered the estimate even more! If I drop the filter index ix_last, I get a Merge Join, wich only has a 50% misestimate, but I suspect that it does not give better performance. (The data volume is not significant to tell.)
I'm not concered about memory grant but with number of estimated rows.
But your concern was hash spill, and hash spill occurs because the memory grant is too low, and it is low due to the low row estimate.
Erland, I'm assigning to the varibale just for the sake of example - to get rid of table result set.
But since the query is logically different, the optimizer could produce a different plan. It does not seem to make that shortcut, but you never know. When I don't want to see the result set, I usually use SELECT INTO.

    Hi:
How do I post statistical dunning chargers? I try to post 2 dunning chargers but when I run transaction FPVA and FPVB the post of those chargers are real. I follow all the configuration lines for dunning but I don´t see a parameter related for statistical chargers; I only see a parameter for statistical interest.

  • How to fix BC blog post meta title and description

BC blog post <title> and <description> shows (seo) from sidebar/post list - But does not show in blog post page thru site menu nav.
The blog post title and description show up corectelly when clicking on sidebar list of posts.
It must be using the module layout list.html which I have set up with:

            <meta name="description" content="{tag_blogpostmetadescription}">

From the blog page thru menu nav
Title and Description do not show correctly here:
It shows the name of the blog (cameo coins blog) instead of the name to the post.
    https://cameocoinsonline.worldsecuresystems.com/cameo-coins-blog
    Please Advise
    Thank You

    Hey there,
Firstly, putting blog posts meta title in the list layout is really bad - You do not do this. This is not how meta works and you need to understand a bit more about what it is.
If you have a list of blog posts on a page all with lots of title and meta BC will do one of two things.
    1. Use the very last title and meta it sees rendered on all the layouts/templates/page it sees
    2. Render the last title and spit out multiple meta's
Meta implementation is for the detail layout of something like a blog only - The single rendered content - 1 title, 1 meta description. For your blog this will ONLY go in the blog detail layout.
And in that layout at the bottom of it..
        <head>
        <title>{tag_blogpostmetatitle}</title>
            <meta name="description" content="{tag_blogpostmetadescription}">
        </head>
You need to understand that, remove it from others to fix up that issue with what your doing first. Very likely because you probably have this in other list layotus and all over the place your seeing inconstant output, address this and you probably will actually find your issue fixed.

  • Why does my iphone 4 turn off by itself randomly? I have read many posts on this and there seems to be no solution other than replacing it.

It turns off randomly and sometimes when I try to turn it back on, it doesn't turn on right away. Sometimes it would take multiple tries before it actually turns back on. I have read many posts regarding this and there seems to be no solution. The bad thing about this also is that I don't have a warranty either.

Because there is a hardware problem.
Apple has an out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price which pays for an exchange at a discounted price off the full retail sales price, or if you qualify for upgrade pricing with your carrier you can purchase a 4S or iPhone 5 for about the same or not much more depending on storage capacity.
