There are a few discussions of this effect if you search back in this forum. Basically, the glowing light effect is created by drawing an alphablended picture of a glowing light and then orienting it towards the user using an OrientedShape3D type of thing. If you need it to affect nearby objects you will want to put a lightsource with it.

You haven't said what 'code' you are talking about or what you mean by 'run' it.
Since you are asking us to 'guess' what you need to do I will guess that it is a valid batch file for your OS. So just save the contents of that string to a file and then use a ProcessBuilder to 'run' it.

I think u r looking for a procedure to change the way the element looks..is it..
The problem is if u want any change to be visible when the button is pressed u can only change the length or the width.There is no option to change the semantic color or whatever.
To change the size u can try this code

Need code example for LDAP update

Hello,
I know how to preform an LDAP search using the package javax.naming.directory.DirContext.
Can someone show me how do I do an update to a certain record at the LDAP ?
Can this update be with the search already (such as in SQL) or should I search the relevant item first and than update it? In any case, a code example will be very helpful here...

Personally I would use the UME APIs to update the user instead of connecting to the LDAP directly. There are many reason for this
1) The UME will work if you decide to change your user store
2) Connection pooling is already taken care of
3) Its using standard product functionality instead

I think, you are looking for master data sources(text,attributes,hier).Am i right?
If so, This cube has almost all SD master data characterstics. So you can activate all the all master data datasources of SD in r/3 (SD-IO).
Any way you requirement does not stop only by using this cube . You will activate all other cubes in SD also. So if you want to activate only needed master data datasources when you are activating a cube, the job becomes senseless. There is no problem(wrong) in activating all master data available under that application , even though you want to activate only one cube.

C# Code Example for Configuring SQL 2005 Reporting Services?

I have found the MSDN articles describing the classes, public methods, etc. for configuring SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services via WMI. I need to initially configure them and just do this:
- Report Server Virtual Directory
- Windows Service Identity
- Web Service Identity
- Database Setup
- Email Settings
- Execution Account
Is there a C# code example that already exists putting together all of this? I didn't want to reinvent the wheel if I didn't need to.

I have a couple of issues that came up...
1) CreateVirtualDirectory.vbs creates the virtual directory for the Report Server just fine. Now how do I distinguish a script to create the virtual directory for the Report Manager?
2) I decided to go ahead and use what you did for scripting CreateApplicationPool (using http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms155349(SQL.90).aspx). I found the syntax is wrong here when I kept getting an error, so I put PowerShell on the server and pulled the following info:

Account, System.String Account, System.String Password)
However, I'd like to use "NT Authority\NetworkService" or "Network Service" as the account (which is an option for the Builtin accounts when I us RSConfigTool.exe). This is the syntax I used:

I need to create excel worksheet and embed an image in a cell. After looking at the POI javadoc and examples, I cannot figure out how to embed the image in a cell, only in the sheet. Does POI support this? I have also been looking a using Jexcel and would like to know if Jexcel supports this? If anyone has answers, please provide code examples.

Error running code examples from Training Video

I am currently learning Java and I am using a Java Training series from Sun. There are several code examples that I am having problems running. I am 99.9% sure that my code is correct. That is the code that I have followed along and written.
Here is an example of code that I am trying to run. ( I am on OS X 10.5 BTW )

I am not sure why I get this error. On the instruction video the instructors code seams to run just fine with out have a main function. The instructor is on Windows and I am not sure if that has anything to do with it or not?

This has nothing to do with windows and everything to do with all programs needing a main method to run (even applets where the main method is I believe within the Applet class code).

Look below, what is the difference between these two code examples? I always use the first one, but is it right to use the second one to get the same result?
Ex.

The code is much the same but the second one performs better.
You should also keep in mind that primitive datatypes like int, char, ... are call-by-value and objects are call-by-reference.
call-by-value:
Means that the only the value of the integer is copied to the function.
call-by-reference:
Means that the only the reference is given to the function and so you can manipulate the object. ==> the changes are also in the object in the calling fkt.
