Code for face recognition on mac osx using OpenCV

Hi,
I am writing a program for face detection on mac osx and I am using OpenCV. I am following the steps given on this link:

There are three codes given for this program. The first code runs smoothly. In the second code there is no error in the compilation, it is successful. But it is not showing any output. As per the program it should open a new window. That window would store the picture taken from the camera.
In the debugger console window the following error appears.
OpenCV ERROR: Internal error (couldnt create new video channel)
in function icvOpenCamera_QT, /Users/david/Work/Development/Net/opencv/xcode/../otherlibs/highgui/cvcap_qt.cpp(954)

I don't see what this has to do with Alchemy, or any Adobe product at all even!

However, when I try to open a raw photo in Photoshop Elements, I keep getting the message "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. I have tried reinstalling Camera Raw many times, and have tried to open many different raw files in Elements, and still get the same error message. Please help.

How did you try to install ACR 8.8. The only way I know of that works with Elements is to use the Updates Choice on the Help menu.
There are two charts supplied by Adobe that explain your RAW dilemma. In your case, the Nikon D810 needs Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 8.6 or Lightroom 5.6. (Congratulations on buying a new camera!)
To get to that level with Photoshop Elements, you will need to replace your Photoshop Elements 12 with version 13. Adobe caps ACR updates on version 12 at 8.5.
The most convenient way to get around it without spending any money is to use the FREE from Adobe DNG Converter. Download and install it from here for FREE: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=5855&fileID=5890 Once it is installed you can convert your D810 raw files to an Adobe RAW version with the .DNG file extension that most, if not all, versions of the various Adobe software programs can use. That includes old versions of Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom. DNG converter can be used as the tool to move your files from your memory card to your computer, is efficient, will convert in batches and is completely lossless. There is no risk of any image quality degradation or RAW functionality.

On my iPhone I've set up gmail as an Exchange accout and when I send an e-mail, my from address appears to be the one I select as default address in gmail preferences.

Hmmm, not sure what is going on, but from the Mail log, neither of those IPs have a name associated with them, 1st one is in Netherlands, 2nd one is iin Africa!???

Simple way to play an MP3 on Mac OSX using AudioToolbox?

Hi, I've been searching for some way to play an audio file (MP3 music) on Mac OSX similarly to how the AVAudioPlayer class for iOS works, but I can't find anything.
I have found an apple sample code called PlayFile but it's thousands of lines of code and uses many custom classes.
Is there any simpler way?

Yes, that should run. Except.... Does your program use any hardware? Does it use any Windows-specific functions (from the Platform folder)? Does it rely on a particular video driver or soundcard? Does it rely on right click mouse actions? All of these kinds of things may or may not work because they are closely linked between the Windows OS and the underlying computer hardware. While the software itself will problaby execute, the programmay not work as expected if some of these dependencies are handled differently by the Apple hardware.
I have not used VM but running native under Bootcamp works pretty well, again allowing for the issues mentioned above.

PCI-Express Card for SSD that boots Mac OSX?

I'm thinking about upgrading my 2008 Mac Pro with an SSD boot drive, but I want to get the maximum speed out of the SSD. Since many of the SSDs have a SATA III interface capable of 6Gb/s, I'd also like to get an internal controller that will allow me to boot into Mac OSX. Which card do you reccommend?
Also, is there anyway to place the SSD in the lower optical drive bay of the Mac Pro? If so, what will I need to do that?

The only way to get greater than effective speed on the sata2 connection is to raid the ssd's. Otherwise you are stuck with sata2 speeds.

If you want to do some research in other places there are many hits on this topic when you google "sata3 pci card for mac pro".
Also, I just recently became aware of a new pci card that OWC announced which they call Accelsior™. It's not cheap, even for a 120GB drive.

Here's MacPerformanceGuilds' review of it.
Basically it's a ssd on a pci card thus limited to the pci speed and not the sata speed. Looks cool.
