  • Code insight problem when updating classes / jars

    I have a problem with JDeveloper 9.0.3.2 build 1145....
I create a class with some methods and deploy it to a jar. I create another class in a different project and import the class from the original project. The code insight works fine. I now add a method to the original class and redeploy but the code insight in the second class know nothing about the new methods it until i restart JDeveloper!
    Frustrating, any ideas ?

This has not been fixed in 9.0.5 actually, at least not the code insight
aspects. I just checked that it still reproduces under the latest 9.0.5
    builds.
Since the bug 3034796 was originally filed for Javadoc issues, I've split
off the code insight issues (which you are hitting) into bug 3122056.
Unfortunately, there is no workaround for this problem. I'm sorry for the
    inconvenience.

    Try this
    http://www.javaalmanac.com/egs/
It's almost complete, but you could help mr. Patrick Chan to write more samples for the few classes left in the Java API...

How can i watch native code for hashCode() in Object class?

Those are two different requirements. You still haven't told us why you want the first one.
The second one is called JNI - Java Native Interface. There is a forum here, and a large amount of documentation, and a book about it.

  • New problem  --  My java code can't see my CLASSES from Mapping Workbench

    Donald and others -
I am VERY new to TopLink......
I was at the last Oracle Developer Days in Northern Virginia. Donald convinced me and my co-workers to use TopLink for our upcoming project. I have been having tons of problems getting it to work correctly. Maybe I need a TOPLINK license plate, like Donald!!!
Here is my newest problem. I can create a DatabaseSession, login to it, write a query and log out of it.
However, I can only do this if I remove my classes from the Mapping Workbench. As soon as I add even one class to the Mapping Workbench......I get an error as follows:
    LOCAL EXCEPTION STACK:
    EXCEPTION [TOPLINK-3007] (TopLink - 9.0.3 (Build 423)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.ConversionException

    INTERNAL EXCEPTION: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: mil.usa.lbit.isr.TestIsr
Can anyone tell me where I need to put my class files so the java code can see them via the ISR.xml deployment file.
I currently have these files in a .jar file on the system path and in my web-inf folder and in my project settings. I put them everywhere I could think of, but no luck.
    Here is my code:

    System.out.println(expression);
    //TestIsr isr = (TestIsr) session.readObject(TestIsr.class, expression);
    //System.out.println(isr);
    public void logoutOfDatabase() {
    session.logout();

    Thanks in advance.
Donald please email me and maybe we can chat on the phone if you want to offer some help.

    Thanks for the reply!
However, I did try to implement that yesterday.
When I add the "getClass().getClassLoader()" to the "XMLProjectReader.read" call, the codes loses site of my project (.xml) file.
    Here is the new line:
    project = XMLProjectReader.read("C:\\LBIT TopLink\\ISR\\ISR.xml", getClass().getClassLoader());
    Here is the new error:
    EXCEPTION [TOPLINK-7099] (TopLink - 9.0.3 (Build 423)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.ValidationException
EXCEPTION DESCRIPTION: Could not find xml project file which is specified in properties file: xmlProjectFile=C:\LBIT TopLink\ISR\ISR.xml.
         oracle.toplink.exceptions.ValidationException oracle.toplink.exceptions.ValidationException.projectXMLNotFound(java.lang.String, java.lang.Exception)
         oracle.toplink.sessions.Project oracle.toplink.tools.workbench.XMLProjectReader.read(java.lang.String, java.lang.ClassLoader)
But my code could find that file before I added the "getClass().getClassLoader()" code.
Maybe I can avoid this problem by "deploying the XML file in my application jar?" Could you please explain more about this option after answering the first part of my question.
Any other posters feel free to help me too.
I know TopLink is a powerful tool, I just keep hitting these hurdles. ARRRRRRRGGGG!!!
    Thanks again,
    Andy

  • Save for previous version 8.5 to 8.2 generates code that crashes Labview (uses classes)

    Hello,
I'm working on some java style interfaces for labview for hot swapping of instrumentation for design patterns. When I try to port this code, developed on Labview 8.5 back to labview 8.2, the code it generates crashes labview (both 8.5 and 8.2).
Included is a small snipet of the work that demonstrates this behavior.
    It includes to classes:
    untitledProject1 - the containing project (version 8.5)
FunctionGeneratorI - Similar to a Java style interface (A class with all Dynamic VI's with no useful functionality)
FunctionGenerator33220a - An intended implementation of Function generator (only a few functions implemented)
    and a folder "labview8_2Distribution"
Which contains the port of the 8.5 code to 8.2.
    To recreate the error:
    A.
    1. Open "labview8_2Distribution\Users\Laptop\Desktop\object\Untitled Project 1" (8.2 save)
    2. Verify it crashes labview 8.5 and labview 8.2.
    3. Watch labview crash?
    B.
    1. Open the "Untitled project 1" in the root directory. (Using labview 8.5)
    2. Save the project as a labview 8.2 type.
    3. Try to open the saved version with 8.5 and 8.2.
    4. Watch labview crash?

    Hello Karunya,
    In regards to your questions:
    >Can you post your code? Have you tested this by creating another project?
Do you have an xcontrols in your projects? Do you have typedefs? Do you
have a LVOOP constant on your block diagram? Are you also using Classes?
I cannot post the cost as it is way too big. Not really my code but a spaghetti code from a previous programmer. I think problems saving it to a previous version have to do with a few things:
    1) Memory - I have 1 GB of RAM and I am running XP. I notice the available RAM dropping quickly as it is saving and then it blow up.
    2) Long Filenames - The directory path of the original file is incorporated into the saved "previous version" of the code. While a good design, it does make the file/path a bit longer when saving
    3) One of teh things it saves is the drivers and their menus. This is due to the drivers being in a subdirectory of the original code and not in the c:\program files\national instruments\labview 8.5\instr.lib directory. I saw this when I tried to save the file as an LLB.
    4) If I work with smaller parts of the code without long paths, it saves fine.
There probably are xcontrols, definitely typedefs, no LVOOP's or Classes. Hope you can do something with all this. It just seems that converting to a later version of the code should be reversable. Thanks.

  • How to refactor ActionScript code into Utility or Helper Classes ?

    Hello
My application is growing in size. Many of my components are now 1000+ lines of code, most of which is ActionScript functions.
What is the best way to refactor this into classes? Are there any tutorials explaining something like this?
I'd like to do something like "myComponent1Util" and "myComponent2Util" respectively, to handle common functions. I notice I have a lot of functions that could be refactored into smaller functional code.
Anybody have any tips or advice before I journey down that road? It would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

There is no general rule of thumb. Most probably your classes are overloaded
with responsibilities. You can try to read Martin Fowler's refactoring as a
starting point. Examples are in Java and C# but you'll get the big picture.

  • Work on FB4.5 and Flash5.5 simultanoiusly - lack of code hints and default package classes.

    Hi!
I setup Flash Professional CS5.5 and FB4.5 to work together. I just followed this tutorial: http://www.adobe.com/content/dotcom/en/devnet/flash-builder/articles/sharing-projects-flas hbuilder-flash.html and almost all looks good, but unfortunately working in Flash Builder adding new Classes I do not have default package Classes accessible. This way I can not even declare Sprite, Array class and so on. In code hints I only gets my current package classes.
I set the .fla project inside Flash CS5.5 with some folders as the package for my classes. It is for examle:
com.myDomain.testProject where DocClass exists. By adding this path as the document for FlashCS5.5 all works great, I can easily run, debug movie in the Flash environment.
Setting this project by 'Import'->'FlashBuilder-FlashBuilderProject'->'ProjectFolder' pointing to the .fla file it seems that the thing goes well. The project is set and even I had some problems with Document Class's name (it seems that Flash Builder need to have Document Class with the same name as the .fla flie) and renaming it I can run or debug it and it works.
But if I try to add new class to the directory I end up with no code hints, and in fact no default package classes support. That means I get errors trying to create instance of any common class etc. In code hints I am only getting my package hints (look picture)
Maybe I misunderstand of some package basics and did something wrong, but generally I don't want to put all my classes to the .fla location but to sort them up in specific folders cause I assume that the project is quite large.
If you can help me, thanks in advance. You know messing up with the code is a part of the programmer nature, and when one finds the answer he feels like a king. When to deal with environments like that, there is never joy and hapiness, but in most occasions couple uncensural words in the end, and a glimpse on the watch - agrrrhh I lost so much time :/
    cheers

upss, It seems the Flex sdk wasn't added automatically what I didn't noticed. Looked for errors in some other areas (as always)
    Thanks anyway:)

  • Why can't my code see annotations in a class file?

So I have a JAR file with some classes in it. I have used DJ Java Decompiler to inspect the class in question and I can definitely see the annotations in it.
I'm working on a Maven MOJO that reads the JAR files to find the annotations, but for some reason my code does not find any annotations at all. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
The StreamLoader seems to be working because when I load the classes, their names get logged properly. Could there be something in the StreamLoader that is stripping off the annotations?

    Yes.

I have to use RTP and RTSP for transferring the
    audio/video streams in real time.
How I can sen and receive RTP packets.
How can I make the RTP Player.
What is the role of JMF in it.
Please suggest me and provide me the codes if
    possible.
    Thanks alot
shobhit vermaThere are two ways using which you can send and recieve packets using rtp. One without using the SessionManager and the other with.
1.) Not using the SessionManager makes things easy for you but it offers very little flexibility to you. You can do this by just specifying a medialocator pointing to the specific url
2.) Using the SessionManager is what is usually suggested. This process is more complex. First you have to instantiate a RTPSessionMgr to a SessionManager reference using which you can send and receive streams to and from the network. The process is more involved than this and is suggest you read some tutorials to get a better understanding, than me explaining to you the entire process.
