Code value from decode key

Hi All,
Can some one please help me with the below code?
I need to fetch the code value where as I have the decode value and the lookup name
I dont see any API which can help me in this.

you have to get the lookup values in tcResultSet API methods provided tcLookupOperationIntf .
Iterate over tcResultSet, Now you can get metadata from result set like getStringValue of code key of decode key

Error while selecting NULL value from Popup Key LOV(numeric or value error)

I have a item P1_DEPTNO with following properties.
P1_DEPTNO - Popup Key LOV (Displays description, returns key value)
LOV - P1_DEPT_LOV
select deptname d, deptno r from deptP1_DEPTNO item properties
List of Values
Named LOV - P1_DEPT_LOV
Display Null - Yes // changed to Yes, so that it can accept NULL values.
Null display value - NULL

I did the following change
Null display value - (blank) // by default it is displaying '%' in the select this
Null return value - -1
but when I select % (null value) from the popup list, it displays the return value -1 in the text field.
My question is why it is displaying the return value -1 in the text field...*It should display the display value in the text field (i.e blank in this case)*
then, I did the following change

How to Get Value from a Variable to restrict a Key Figure ?

I am trying to make a query in Query designer, we are running BI7.
I have a user entry veriable on the Fiscal year period, the user will need to enter a period they want the report for, i.e. 07.2008 for July 2008 report and 04.2008 for April 2008 report.
Based on what the user entered as the starting period (in the variable entry), I have to then use that initial value and show the Year to date value (of sales etc) in the next column.
To Clarify, if user entered 07.2008 then all the data from 01.2008 to 07.2008 needs to be in the next column. if user entered 04.2008 then all the data from 01.2008 to 04.2008 should be in the next column.
So to summarise according to my understanding, I want to get the value from a variable and pass it onto another variable to restrict a key firgure (sales amount)...
Can someone please clarify what i need to do here?

please follow the below steps:
1. Create a new varialbe , this variable should be processed by customer exit.
2. In the column section, create a new column and drag the sales key figure, also drag fiscal year period and restrict with the new variable.
3. In the cmod tcode write a customer exit code to extract the value of the user entry and assign it your variable, you can refer to the below code.

Lookup Code value switch automatically in case of same decode value

Hi,
We have create a simple Lookup type UDF on OIM user profile. The lookup value contains the different code value for same decode value like 1-->Project Manager, 2-->Project Manager, 3-->Project Manager. Now the issue is that if someone goes form the web console and edit the user (just click on edit and then save it back without making any change), this lookup field value switch to default code value for 'Project Manager'. Let's say if OIM internally assume 2 as default code value for 'Project Manager' (not sure how OIM maintains it internally), If we follow the edit process for a user who has '3' as code value then after save the value in the database change to '2'. The same happens for user with '1' as code value as well. Now mapping multiple code values to same decode is very common where you need to integrate OIM with legacy systems where multiple key values assigned to the Job title/positions with same description. Has anyone came across this scenerio in past and found any solution. Please help. We tried by using lookup querry as well but no luck. We are using 9102 BP02 OIM. Thanks

First thing first
Why do you need 3 entries in the lookup for the same vaule? It's only a confusion to the end-user to select which one.
Now....
In case you have some compelling situation, just try to have some differentiation for the decode value; like 1~Project Manager, 2~Project Manager, 3~Project Manager. This way confusion may be obviated and so as the issue.

I got your requirement. I really dont know the scenario your working on but its possible to do it. There is no direct way to do so, but complexity is in getting to know the Keys dynamically from interface.

How to populate field on page with Primary Key value from previous page

I am trying to create a patient tracking system for a group of doctors. There is an add patient form based on the Patient table (which has Patient_Id as its primary key) which branches to a pre-operative assessment form. I would like to populate the pre-op assessment Patient_Id field with the Patient_Id generated by the Add Patient page during processing, which comes from the Patient_seq sequence. How can I do this? I have tried using a computation on the Pre-Op Assessment form, but no matter what I put in, the field remains blank.

If I understand you correctly, once patient record is created you branching to next page (pre-operative assessment form). First create a static hidden item in patient form *:PX_PATIENT_ID_COPY*.
Create an On submit after computation and validation process in patient form to get the inserted patient_id from patient table. Here is the code -
SELECT patient_id into :PX_PATIENT_ID_COPY from patient_table where rownum=1
order by patient_id descI would not use the sequence to get the current value because if the inserted record been deleted from your patient table, sequence current value would not be valid to find that record in patient table.
Basically when the record been inserted, the process get the value and put into the hidden item.
Pass the value from the hidden item to the next page by setting them in page branch. Under the Action section in the page branch, Set this items field type - *:PX_PATIENT_ID* (next page item for patient_id). Type *&PX_PATIENT_ID_COPY.* in the with these values field. Make sure you include dot(.) after *&PX_PATIENT_ID_COPY*.
Give it a try now. Hope it would helps.

New install of SQL 2014 Std MSDN. Get "The SQL Server product key is not valid. To proceed, re-enter the product key values from the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or SQL Server packaging."

Trying to install a new version of SQL 2014 Std 64 or x86. Installing on Windows 8.1Pro 64bit machine.
I get:
"TITLE: SQL Server Setup failure.
SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error:
The SQL Server product key is not valid. To proceed, re-enter the product key values from the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or SQL Server packaging.
Error code 0x858C0017."
I looked at the summary log and that is the only error.
I made sure there were no other instances of SQL on this machine. Uninstalled all VS2013 and sql instances just in case. IF there is somewhere to check if a previous version or license is causing the issue, i would be glad to check.
Any help would be appreciated.

kd, I know that feeling...
String[] keys = (String[]) row.keySet().toArray(new String[0]);
In this case toArray will realize that the zero-length array
is too short and create/return a new array containing objects
of type String.Strictly speaking, if you don't give any array (toArray()), the array is an Object[], and as kd said, you can't cast to some other type.
If you give an array of a specific type, you can cast. If that array is too small, the method will create a new array of the correct type. So you might as well pass it an array at least as big, since in this case you can tell how big it should be. This avoids allocating 2 arrays. Obviously the other will is likely to be GC'd, but why create it if not needed. Maybe that's too much of a micro optimization.

Syndicating Key mapping value from lookup table

I want to Syndicating Remote Key value from lookup table as per the remote system.
In syndicator, if I map destination field to the remote key of the lookup table, I am getting blank value.

kindly check in the Data Manger whether have you maintained Remote keys for the lookup table. If yes then choose the specified remote system from Remote key override fields under Map properties in the syndicator.
Incase you cant find the remote system in the "remote key override" field for which remote key is assigned in Data manager, then you need to check the Type (outbound) of the remote system in Console admin node. Because only those Remote systems type set as Outbound can been found in Remote key Override in the syndicator.
After choosing the remote key you need to map the destination field with Remote key value as shown in the below image.

How system picks value from Tax Code

Dear Experts,
I have one scenario,
In our pricing procedure there are tax condition types for which there are no condition records maintained. But the values are maintained in Tax Code.
My doubt is, do we have to add these tax condition types in pricing procedure as they are already in Tax Code ?? Because I observed few condition types are not there in pricing procedure but the same are in Tax Code.
Second, how the system comes to know that there is no condition record and the value is in Tax code. How does it determine and pick the value from Tax code.

Let me try to clear your confusion :
For Total determination of pricing we have two things
Pricing Procedure and Tax Procedure.
Pricing Procedure tell system about the what and how the price to calculated for material in Sale Order.
In this pricing procedure the conditions JIN1 JIN2 etc ares pertaining to tax applicable on the Sale order Price.
These conditions display the tax.
Now the tax is calculated based on tax procedure.
And a Tax procedure acts as a master and there is one tax procedure for one country.
for that particular tax procedure there are tax codes defined.
These Tax codes allows the using the same tax procedure but changing value of various conditions and removing which we dont require.
Lets take an example : AS TAXINN is tax procedure for India. Based in this procedure many tax codes are defined for 12% vat, 6% vat , no vat etc.
So what kind of tax will be applicable on the Sale order is governed by tax code which is mentioned in customer master.
Based on this tax code taxes are calculated on Sales order net value and then the tax amount is displayed in pricing procedure
You assign the tax condition types to Pricing procedure so that it will display the taxes in the sales order.

Assignment field value different from sort key

Dear Forum,
I notice in the customer line item, the assignment field value different from sort key.
sort key for customer i maintain as doc number + fiscal year, but i notice some line item's assignment is not this information.
for example, billing posting. some customer line item assignment is document + fiscal year but some are delivery number in assignment field. no changes made in log file.
may i know why?

Using keys to search and retrieve values from HashMap

I've been fiddling around with this problem for a while and can't seem to find any working solution. What I have is a method that I want to return all values from a HashMap, but instead of using the regular keys for a HashMap (0, 1, 2, 3), my keys are different numbers such as 51414, 62513, etc.

 }So what's happening at the moment is it loops through myCars and gets some values, but only those ones at the keys of 0-15 (the size of the Map). What I need is to get the Keys from myCars and use them to return all Car objects. The HashMap API has something called KeySet() which I think could help me, but I can't get that working.
Any ideas?
