Coffe on my PC!

Hi!
Some coffee fell into my macbook on the lateral side (where the charger is). Now I cannot use the keyboard nor a mouse. It s like pressing constantly the right botton: I am only allowed to copy, paste and so on, but not to write. Keyboard apart, the laptop seems to work perfectly!
What should I do?
How much may I have to pay?

Seems like you've fried your keyboard. You can attempt to remove the keyboard and cleaning it with rubbing alcohol and then have it sit in direct sunlight for a few days and or use a hair blower via cold air on it as well. That said, john is right, the extent of the damaged components are unknown and will be so until fully opened and throughly examined by a professional.

Coffe on my msi gt60

HI i just spilled coffe on my laptop, everything still works as it did before. no keys are sticky or non-functional(using it right now spilled coffe 50 mins ago).
But right when it happend i took out the power source cable and put it on the side to let as much as possible to come out.
but what i wonder is, should i be worried that it will break if i use it now without checking the inside of keyboards etc?. I mean everything seems to work fine like it used to.

At the very least I would check the keyboard to make sure that there isn't any latent coffee that has dried up anywhere....that certainly won't help the longevity of the laptop.

1st of all thanks for your reply.
well COFF means Call off. It will made against open contract.
From PR it converted to PO and in COF, 01-vendor fix against any contract and their terms & conditions / cost / del. time frame and many other things are fix. In this scenerio end user deals with vendor directly.
Now, below mentioned example made for understanding what i required.
Example: I am rasing a COF, when we select item from service contract, Fumigation we recommend to our vendor in COF that you should deliver services on this date. or when we ordered P-Caps to vendor, we recommend the delivery dates.
We want to see these dates in report.

Running 16-bit COFF binaries on Solaris 8

I've got some old 16-bit COFF binaries that are currently running on a UnixWare SVR4 2.03
system. I want to get these programs running on Solaris 8. Can it be done?
I've tried basic stuff like simply running them, and using gobjcopy to convert them to ELF,
with no luck.
If it can be done, what does it take?

I see the same problem on Solaris Nevada build 55 - /usr/sfw/bin/gdb

I tried GNU compiler ("/usr/sfw/bin/g++ -m64") and Sun Studio 12

COFF support in solaris 9

Hi,
I have a SCO 3.2 for running our company's pay roll programs. It are in COFF.
Is it possible to run it in Solaris 9? If possible kindly send me how to make it run.
Is there any other patches that i need to apply.?

Probably not possible. AFAIK, the Solaris 2.X/7/8/9/10 kernel will only execute ELF (and maybe a.out) binaries. And to my knowledge, there is no conversion from COFF to ELF. Unless you have source-code, you are probably stuck with the SCO system(s).

Safari, Macbook and that **** coffe cup!!

Just got my first ever apple computer a Macbook 13"/1.83GHz Intel Core Duo/ 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM. My proble is that I couldh't play videos in safari, got the MIME missing error. I fiddled around and finally fixed that problem but did something to my JAVA, (at least I think it'a a java problem). Now All I see when opening quite a few pages is a **** Coffe cup with arrows circuling it. this for example happens when I go here: http://vefmyndavel.akureyri.is/view/index.shtml this webcam used to work until I fiddled with installing and uninstalling stuff to get the videos working. And this page http://www.oslobors.no/ob should diplay sort of a stock ticker in the upper left side of the page but now all
i get is the aformentioned coffe cup. I've heard (or read) that I might be missing flash player! but I can't install it due to a "access denied error" something to do with access privileges (I've tried using disk permission repair but it doesn't work) does anyone have any idea about what might be causing this propblem? your answer would be really appreciated because I really like my MAC but now I'm about to give up on it. I know there must be a simple solution to get my mac back on track!!

OK, go to this folder (in the account that has the problem):
<your hard drive>/Users/<your home folder>/Library/
There you will find a folder named "Caches". Delete the Caches folder and restart.
If that doesn't works the go to the same folder:
<your hard drive>/Users/<your home folder>/Library/
Find the folder named "Preferences"
At this point, you have two options:
1.- Open the Preferences folder and take out this file:
com.apple.Safari.plist
Then check if it works.
2.- Take the Preferences folder out of there (put it on the Desktop) and restart (this way you'll need to set only the application preferences again, like if it is a new account, but your info will be there: bookmarks, mails, etc.).
Report if it works.
BTW, none of your information would be touched by following these steps.

I'm new to the sdk and I'm trying to open the sample projects to understand what's going on here,
the problem is that when i try to build the project(for example the SDK_File_Import project)
i get the error:

This topic is a bit old, but I have the same problem. My english isn't perfect so I don't understand everything in the pdf guide.
I just started, and I would like to build the Export project, which is in the Exemple directory. (I took the cs6 premiere pro release 2)
I did this part of the guide : "On Windows, to specify where you want the built plug-ins to go, set a user environment variable
(right-click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Environment Variables > User variables)
called PREMSDKBUILDPATH to the desired path (e.g. “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\
Plug-ins\[version]\MediaCore\”)", and I also put the exemple directory on “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\[version]\MediaCore\”.
Then, I opened the SDK_Exporter file with visual studio 2010 (from “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\CS5\MediaCore\Examples\Projects\SDK_Exporter\"), and tried to debug it with the x64 debugger.
I obtained this error : "LINK : fatal error LNK1123: failure during conversion to COFF: file invalid or corrupt"
May someone help me to build this?

Spilled Coffe on my Pavillion DV5

I spilled coffee onto my keyboard and I am trying to restart the computer. I turned the notebook over and drained any coffee and used a blow dryer to try and dry more. The power light goes on but I do not get anything on the screen. What do you recommend I do next?

Seems like a hardware issue. Doesn't look good. Take the hard drive out and tryaccessing the BIOS.

Employee working on weekly off and holidays, are eligible for compensatory off.?Then how compensatory quota generation take place in negative time management if there is no time recording ?how it will update for each financial year?

If you are not using time evaluation then it is not possible to generate COFF, how will the system know weather the employee is at work or not?

The stability of the phone has improved with the latest firmware. There are less fatal crashes requiring the removal of the battery to recover.
There are just too many faults and limitations remaining that annoy me on a daily basis.
Email client is very slow to download attached images (17kB jpg can take several minutes or fail completely).
Access points need to be "fudged" using a 3rd party app (which is part of the new firmware) to get mildly reasonable connectivity but it still asks to connect at every opportunity.
The E72 bluetooth (BT) only works with car kits supporting streaming audio over bluetooth. This renders the Nokia SatNav client 'mute' and therefore useless in many cars with buit-in BT.
The E72 is on a 2yr contract but I was so fed up that I bought an Android phone which seems pretty good - the basics work perfectly.
