Coherence and JBoss

Question

Hi,
I've been looking for documentation on setting up Coherence as a JBoss service and the only thing I could find in these forums was meant for JBoss 3.2 and Coherence 2.3.1 (see the FAQ titled: How do I test the Transactional Cache?).
Obviously this does not work with JBoss 4.0 and Coherence 3.1.
Is there an updated answer for this question?

Glen,
Coherence is pure Java and does not rely on any JBoss-specific classes or functionality (with a few exceptions listed below), so it has worked fine with every version of JBoss we've ever tested and our customers have ever used.
The areas in which there could be minor conflicts are those areas where Coherence does plug in more tightly with container functionality; for example:
1) Session management: Jboss ships with Tomcat (and there used to be a Jetty option), and Coherence*Web supports Tomcat (and Jetty)
2) JTA transactions via the J2CA adapter (coherence.rar): the note you pointed to
3) Hibernate: Coherence has a brand new provider (in 3.1) for Hibernate, and Hibernate is now a part of Jboss.
As far as I know, there are no known problems with any of the above three items (or others) on Jboss, and if you do encounter any apparent difficulties, just let us know.
