Column and row headers not printing

I have a report with multiple tablix and chart objects in it.  When running the report in Preview mode in Visual Studio, everything displays correctly.  However, for the two tablix objects in the report that are matrixes, the table headers do not
print.  Here is what I see in Visual Studio:
This is what I see when rendered as PDF:
Any ideas where my headers may have gone?
Derrick

Hi Derrick,
In Reporting Services, the PDF document is rendered to match the current state of any items in the report. For example, if the item is displayed when you preview the report, then the item is rendered in PDF.
To trouble shoot this issue, we can refer to the following suggestions:
Try to reopen the project, then export the report to PDF.
Restart Reporting Services server, then deploy the report to report server, export it from report server.
Create a new report with the same matrix to test the issue again.
If the issue persists, please send me the RDL file with sample data to sqltnsp AT Microsoft.com (Please replace AT with @) or upload the files to your skydrive.live.com, so that we can make further analysis.
Thanks,

  • How to make Column and Row headers bold in Web template?

    Hi Experts,
    I have a web application with a query in it. Now I would like to know how I could make the column and row headers of this webquery in bold font? I havent found any properties in any web item to make this possible. It looks like the only way to do this is CSS, but i dont have any experience with style sheets.
    Are there easier ways to do this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Rgds,
    Richard

    Tried this for fun using JavaScript.  It appears to work, but is pretty much a hack, and I didn't test it thoroughly.
    Place this in a function that is called during onload of the page:
         var eleid='';
         for(var ct=0;ct<1000;ct++) {
              eleid='ANALYSIS_interactive_mc'+ct+'_tv';
              if (document.getElementById(eleid)) {
                   if(document.getElementById(eleid).parentNode.className=='urLayoutPadless') {
                        document.getElementById(eleid).style.fontWeight='bold';

  • Filling in values based on the column and row headers

    I have a question that seems simple, but I can't figure out how to do it and I've searched all over the forum to no avail.
    I have one column that is width increasing by 3 in. increments (column A)
    I have one row that is height increasing by 3 in. increments (row B)
    I have one cell that is price (cell A1)
    I have a formula to calculate price per sq. ft.: =CEILING(A3B2/144,1)A1. This gives me the whole sq. ft. number multiplied by the price per sq. ft. to give me a total price at that dimension (A3 is the width, B2 is the height, and A1 is the cell that contains the price per sq. ft.).
    *Here is the problem*: When I try to cut and paste or fill the formula to the other cells, it doesn't calculate the formula as =CEILING(column A * Row B/144,1)*A1. Instead, it moves all of the values relative to the new cell that the formula is being pasted or filled to.
    Is there a way to autofill the cells so that the formula continues to refer to the width column, the height row, and the price cell?

    Aha! Apparently I didn't do enough research before I posted and I have since answered my own question. Here's how you do it. Look for "Distinguishing Absolute and Relative Cell References" and you should be able to find what you need. In my case, here is the formula I needed to have to make the copy and paste function do what I needed it to do: =CEILING($A3*B$2/144,1)*$A$. Hope that helps anyone who may have had the same problem I did.

  • How do I get the layout guides (A,B,C column headers and 1,2,3 Row Headers) to print with my spreadsheet?

    How do I get the Layout Guides (A,B,C column headers and 1,2,3 Row Headers) to print on my spreadsheet? They are invaluable for discussing the data with my clients over the phone.
    They appear while I am editing, but don't print with the spreadsheet. I know how to do it in Excel, but I am transitioning to Numbers. I can't imagine I have to type them into their own columns and rows. It must be a difference in vernacular that I can't find the solution in the User Guide. Can anyone help?

    Hi ktjobauer,
    Numbers is not Excel and Excel is not Numbers. Numbers is WYSIWYG (at least in File > Print and the actual printout).
    I can't imagine I have to type them into their own columns and rows.
    No, you don't. You can use the charm of Numbers to create cell references for your Excel clients.
    In this Numbers Table, I have added some extra Columns that you can hide later.
    Column B =COLUMN(A2)
    Column C =HLOOKUP(B2,'Table 1-1' :: $1:$2,2,FALSE)      [explanation later]
    Column D =ROW(B2)
    Column E =C2&D2
    Add those formulas to the first Body Row (below the Header Row) and Fill Down.
    Column C refers to another Table which you need only create once, to convert a Column number to a letter:
    and so on from 1-26, A-Z.
    You can move the second Table to another Sheet to hide it. Formulas will automatically adjust to keep the links between Sheets.
    Now in the first Table, select and Hide Columns B,C,D. Formulas will continue to work with hidden cells:

  • How can I make the rolumn and row headers appear on the printed sheet?

    I am working in Numbers'09. I want to print out my chart with the column letters and row numbers showing.
    How can I make the rolumn and row headers appear on the printed sheet?

    g,
    Those annotations are called "Labels", and they are only visible during editing when a cell selection is made within the table. If you need to have the labels on your final output, you can create labels in Text Boxes and position them adjacent to the table.

  • Numbers-freezing columns and rows

    Can you freeze columns and rows in numbers although they are not designated as headers?

    FYI   I was looking for information in these old posts on the Freeze function in Numbers.
    After looking through numerous posts and finally talking with an Apple Tech, we found that the freeze function was not in Number 08, but added in Number 09.   We were both surprised that this basic spreadsheet function was missing from 08
    With this function you can lock/freeze the top row and/or column so as you scroll through the spreadsheet, you can see you first rows or columns while looking at the data in the middle of the  spreadsheet.
    I am not an Apple representative, but the only way to fix this and other flaws in Number 08 is to upgrade to 09 for $19.99.   Hope this helps.

    Make sure the photos are "within" celsl and they should sort along with the rest of your data. One way to do this: select a photo that you have in the sheet that is not sorting with the data, command-x to cut, click once in a cell, and paste.  Then adjust the row height and width to make the images larger.

  • Freeze columns and rows easily

    I am new to numbers and although I had some difficulties, I have yet to freeze columns and rows in a simple way as in excel. I need to find a tool to focus titles without merging cells, this is something like "Center Across Selection". There is this tool? How I can actually freeze columns and rows easily?

    Numbers automatically repeats the column headers when you are in "Page View".  To enable page view select the menu item "View > Show Print View".
    There is no center across selection.  You can add a text box which you place in front of your table that is as wide as the group of cells you wish to centered on, with the text formatted so it is centered.
    I left the text box above the table, but you should move on top of like:

  • How to get the current selected column and row

    Hi,
    A difficult one, how do i know which column (and row would also be nice) of a JTable is selected?
    e.g.
    I have a JButton which is called "Edit" when i select a cell in the JTable and click the button "Edit" a new window must be visible as a form where the user can edit the a part of a row.
    Then the column which was selected in the JTable must be given (so i need to know current column) and then i want the TextField (the one needed to be edited) be active with requestFocus(). So it would be
    pricetextfield.requestFocus();
    Problem now is that i have to click every time in the window the JTextField which was selected in the JTable. I have chosen for this way of editing because my application is multi-user and it would be too difficult for me when everybody did editing directly (catch signals, reload data, etc.).
    My question is how do I know the current column and the current row in a JTable?

    I'm not sure what your mean by the "current" row or column, but the following utility methods return
    which row and column have focus within the JTable.
    public static int getFocusRow(JTable table) {
        return table.getSelectionModel().getLeadSelectionIndex();
    public static int getFocusColumn(JTable table) {
        return table.getColumnModel().getSelectionModel().getLeadSelectionIndex();
    }

    First of all, when posting code, put it between two tags.
    Second of all, the pipe is a special character in regex, so you need to escape it as
    .split("\ \|");
    Erh. So 2 backslashes before the pipe character. Stupid forum won't post it.

  • Switch columns and rows in SSRS

    Hi,
    I have a report with static columns that looks something like this:
    Date
    Column 1
    Column2
    Column30
    December 1
       xxx
        xxx
        xxx
    December 2
     xxx
        xxx
        xxx
    December 31
    xxx
        xxx
        xxx
     It is based on SP that produces a temporary table exactly the same way as the report output (my Dec
    1 to 31 rows are details that are precalculated within SP).
    I need to switch columns and rows as my report is getting too wide.
    Does anyone know how it is done in SSRS 2005 (with SQL 2005 data source) without re-writing my SP?
    Thank you in advance!

    Thank you for your reply Jason.
    Unfortunately I do not have tablix within SSRS 2005; I only have matrix and table. For the original report I am using table as it displays data exactly the way it
    is passed from the SP. You cannot switch columns and rows within the table. I tried matrix, but it didn’t work either… Is there any work around that you know of?
    Thanks again!
