Column filter on transparent table

Hi Experts,
I have a table (not ALV) and I need column filters on each column of the table.
Following are the steps I have followed:
1. Defined 'TABLE' attribute type ref to IF_WD_TABLE_METHOD_HNDL.
2. Created a Tool Bar element on Table with its Visible attribute to none.
3. Created a ToolBarToggleButton element on Toolbar.
4.  Defined a method for event 'ONTOGGLE' with following code
         METHOD ONTOGGLE.
         wd_this->table->apply_filter( ).
        ENDMETHOD.
5. Method WDDOMODIFYVIEW.
       IF first_time = abap_true .
         DATA wd_table TYPE REF TO cl_wd_table.
         wd_table ?= view->get_element( 'TABLE' ).
         wd_this->table ?= wd_table->_method_handler.
       endif.
    ENDMETHOD.
I have 5 rows in table and when I click on filter button, nothing is happening i.e, I am not getting a input field to filter the entries. Kindly help.

You probably can use wildcards (% and _ )
for example %my%

  • SQL Developer 3.1.07.42 existing column filter no longer editable

    LO developers,
    I have noticed a change in behaviour (I would not call it a regression ;o) ) since v3.1 prod release.
    Until 3.1.07.42, when you add a column filter on a table or query resultset, you could edit the filter later. Since 3.1.07.42, it is no longer possible: one has to remove the filter first and then enter a new one.
    Is this the intended behaviour? I preferred the previous one.
    Have a nice day,
    Olivier.

    Unfortunately. Here is another forum thread referencing this issue, including the bug number:

    Krish,
    Interactive report has hard coded limit to display 1000 rows of column filter LOV for performance. Unfortunately, the limit cannot be changed. The workaround is to define a Column Filter LOV for the column instead of using "Default Based on Column Type".

  • LOV table column filter with bind variable

    Greetings everyone,
    I am using JDev version: 11.1.2.3.0
    I have a table which has all it's columns with filterable property set to 'true'. I have already created a filter for the first one which displays the total list of users registered in the system. But the second one is a bit more complex.
    I want to display a LOV which takes it's values from a VO with a bind variable. In a normal situation there is a another VO which links one of it's properties to this bind var in the View Accessor section of the LOV configuration dialog just like this:
    http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OSq71i5oy0c/SUa6qdnkkoI/AAAAAAAABnY/QnBPmGFgLI4/s400/3.PNG
    But i want to be able to display this LOV in a column filter, the code i used is this:
    <f:facet name="filter">
                             <af:selectOneChoice value="#{vs.filterCriteria.Debtor}"
                                    label="Debtor" unselectedLabel=""
                                     id="soc104">
                                                                            <af:forEach items="#{bindings.ContractPartiesView1.rangeSet}"
                                                                                        var="debtors">
                                                                                <f:selectItem id="si104"
                                                                                              itemLabel="#{debtors.Name}"
                                                                                              itemValue="#{debtors.PartyNumber}"/>
                                                                            </af:forEach>
                                                                        </af:selectOneChoice>
                                                                    </f:facet>
    Where Name is the name of the items to display, and PartyNumber is the value by which the table property (column) Debtor is connected to ContractPartiesView1 (the DC of the first VO).
    It doesn't display nothing, and i suppose this is due the fact that ContractPartiesView1 has that bind variable which stays uninitialized.
    I need to find a way to initialize this bind variable to get the filtered values for the LOV. I've tried to use a listOfValue binding insted of a tree, but with no result. Am i missing something?
    Thanks in advance

    I had resolved this, the very next day, but i didn't have chance to reply.
    I've simply created another VO, which didn't have a bind variable to get that ID, it was simply linked with a master detail relationship with the one it should get the ID from (via FK). I've created this other VO because the first one was already in use for some other requirement.

  • How to filter a table using column filter on a date field with time?

    Hi,
    I have a date field where I am inserting a date+time value, for example: 01/01/2012 09:30:00 So, I would like to filter an adf table using a column inputdate filter to filter only by date this field.
    I was testing using formats but with no luck.
    Any Idea?
    Thanks,
    jdev 11.1.2.3
    Edited by: jhon.carrillo on Oct 29, 2012 12:23 AM

    Then, try to add another attribute in your SELECT VO statement, which truncates the original date_and_time field:
       SELECT.... TRUNC(DATE_AND_TIME) as truncated_dateAfter that, put reference to that attribute in the filter facet, as follows
             <f:facet name="filter">
                      <af:inputDate value="#{vs.filterCriteria.TruncatedDate}" id=.../>
             </facet>Do not forget to add the TruncatedDate attribute in the <tree...> binding in the pageDef, along with others VO attributes. Do that manually.

  • [Forum FAQ] How to configure a Data Driven Subscription which get multi-value parameters from one column of a database table?

    Introduction
    In SQL Server Reporting Services, we can define a mapping between the fields that are returned in the query to specific delivery options and to report parameters in a data-driven subscription.
    For a report with a parameter (such as YEAR) that allow multiple values, when creating a data-driven subscription, how can we pass a record like below to show correct data (data for year 2012, 2013 and 2014).
    EmailAddress                             Parameter
    Comment
    [email protected]              2012,2013,2014               NULL
    In this article, I will demonstrate how to configure a Data Driven Subscription which get multi-value parameters from one column of a database table
    Workaround
    Generally, if we pass the “Parameter” column to report directly in the step 5 when creating data-driven subscription.
    The value “2012,2013,2014” will be regarded as a single value, Reporting Services will use “2012,2013,2014” to filter data. However, there are no any records that YEAR filed equal to “2012,2013,2014”, and we will get an error when the subscription executed
    on the log. (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles)
    Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.InvalidReportParameterException: Default value or value provided for the report parameter 'Name' is not a valid value.
    This means that there is no such a value on parameter’s available value list, this is an invalid parameter value. If we change the parameter records like below.
    EmailAddress                        Parameter             Comment
    [email protected]         2012                     NULL
    [email protected]         2013                     NULL
    [email protected]         2014                     NULL
    In this case, Reporting Services will generate 3 reports for one data-driven subscription. Each report for only one year which cannot fit the requirement obviously.
    Currently, there is no a solution to solve this issue. The workaround for it is that create two report, one is used for view report for end users, another one is used for create data-driven subscription.
    On the report that used create data-driven subscription, uncheck “Allow multiple values” option for the parameter, do not specify and available values and default values for this parameter. Then change the Filter
    From
    Expression:[ParameterName]
    Operator   :In
    Value         :[@ParameterName]
    To
    Expression:[ParameterName]
    Operator   :In
    Value         :Split(Parameters!ParameterName.Value,",")
    In this case, we can specify a value like "2012,2013,2014" from database to the data-driven subscription.
    Applies to
    Microsoft SQL Server 2005
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
    Microsoft SQL Server 2012

    For every Auftrag, there are multiple Position entries.
    Rest of the blocks don't seems to have any relation.
    So you can check this code to see how internal table lt_str is built whose first 3 fields have data contained in Auftrag, and next 3 fields have Position data. The structure is flat, assuming that every Position record is related to preceding Auftrag.
    Try out this snippet.

  • How to delete a key field in a Transparent table

    Hi,
    I have created a Transparent table Zemployee in which there are 4 fields ( id, name, job, hiredate). I intend to make primary key consists of 2 fields (id, name) but by mistake I have included job field as well.
    Now I want to change job field from a key field to non-key field, I use SE11 to display the maintainance of the Zemployee table, unmarked the key label column on job field then I save and activate the table but the system fail to activate the Zemployee table.
    So now, what shoul I do to solve this problem ?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    I have tried again and it work well ( use SE14 as you talk). and now I make job field become key-field again and use se11 to change it to non-key field and it work well too. So I think the problem maybe at the network or somethings else.

  • How to set a Excel-like column-Filtering in the Table Header using swings

    I am currently working on the Database applications.Where i need to do column filter in the header field of the jTable, (i.e i need to keep a button in the Column header and when i click the button, it should pop-up a jList which has a unique values of the entire column. when i select that value it will show corresponding rows in the jTable). Can anyone pls help me....
    Thanks
    Karthik

    You can [get the table column header|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/javax/swing/JTable.html#getTableHeader()] and add a mouse listener to it which waits for a popup menu trigger to display a popup menu.
    In that popup menu, you can display a list which contains the unique values of the column which was clicked on. Once a value is
    selected, you can filter the rows using that value.

  • Download transparent table data in excel

    Hi all
    I have ECC 6.0 system. I have a transparent table with 112 fields. Sufficient amount of data is present in that table. I need to download this data into an excel file. But I found there are some inconsistencies:
    1. I used SE16. But we know that list output of the SE16 screen is limited to 1023 characters. Hence all the columns are not displayed. In my case it is displaying only 52 columns. Eventhough if we download this using System->List->Save->Local File->Spreadsheet, only those 52 columns are displayed in excel. So this SE16 was out of option.
    2. I used SE16n. Here I could see all the 112 columns in the screen. But if I go for Export->Local File->Spreadsheet , each row gets splitted into two rows in excel. Also last few columns are not downloaded. All in all, it is an incomplete download and is not readable. Hence this method is out of option.
    3. I used a manual method. In SE16n I copied all the data to the clip board using Ctrl+A and pasted them in a new excel document. The data got copied fully and properly. But the header line was missing.
    What could be the solution other than writing a separate ABAP program?
    Thanks,
    Prasad

    Hi Ankur,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I agree that there is ALV grid option. But that would result in point (2) I mentioned above. Evnthough, all columns are displayed, the rows gets splitted in excel. Also, last few columns does not get downloaded.
    Thanks,
    Prasad

  • InputDate Column Filter Date Format Problem

    Hi,
    I have an af:table with filterable columns and some of these columns are based on Timestamp VO attributes.
    When I enter a date filter - either manually or from the associated date picker, the filter is applied correctly using a date format of dd/MM/yyyy.
    However, when the table is subsequently refreshed, the filter value is still present but has been re-formatted to "yyyy-MM-dd hh:mi:ss" format (default format for a Timestamp datatype?). The an error appears in the column filter component - "Error: The date is not in the correct format".
    If I want to retain the filter value across queries, how can this be achieved?
    My table column is defined as follows:
    <af:column sortProperty="#{bindings.ViewDataVO1.hints.LastReadingDate.name}"
                                                   filterable="true" sortable="true"
                                                   headerText="#{bindings.ViewDataVO1.hints.LastReadingDate.label}"
                                                   id="c59"
                                                   rendered='#{bindings.ViewDataVO1.hints.LastReadingDate.displayHint != "Hide"}'
                                                   displayIndex="#{bindings.ViewDataVO1.hints.LastReadingDate.displayHeight}">
                                            <f:facet name="filter">
                                                <af:inputDate value="#{vs.filterCriteria.LastReadingDate}" id="id4">
                                                    <af:convertDateTime
                                                                        pattern="#{bindings.ViewDataVO1.hints.LastReadingDate.format}"/>
                                                </af:inputDate>
                                            </f:facet>
                                            <af:outputText value="#{row.LastReadingDate}" id="ot59">
                                                <af:convertDateTime pattern="#{bindings.ViewDataVO1.hints.LastReadingDate.format}"/>
                                            </af:outputText>
                                        </af:column>I've tried messing with the properties of the af:convertDateTime component, but I'm thinking the problem is in the population of the filter facet inputDate with the vs.filterCriteria.LastReadingDate value. This does not appear to be re-formatted for display - but I don't know how to manipulate this value...
    Or is there a better way? This seems more complicated than it should be...?
    By the way, I am using JDeveloper 11.1.2.1.0 for my development.
    Thanks.

    Does it work fine if you change the pattern for convertDateTime?
    I.e
    change
    <f:facet name="filter">
                                                <af:inputDate value="#{vs.filterCriteria.LastReadingDate}" id="id4">
                                                    <af:convertDateTime
                                                                        pattern="#{bindings.ViewDataVO1.hints.LastReadingDate.format}"/>
                                                </af:inputDate>
                                            </f:facet>to
    <f:facet name="filter">

  • Filter sap.ui.table.Table by an external string

    Hi all,
    I'd like to display in the table only rows whose specified column contains a particular external string, i.e. not something that the user types into the column menu. I though Table.filter(column, string) would be the right method to call, but this gets me a
    Error: Only "String" values are supported for the FilterOperator: "Contains"
    Is this the right method and if so, how should it be called? I've traced through the SAPUI5 code but the input string is very early lost from focus. Or do I have to specify a column filter when binding and call that one?
    Cheers,

    Hi Micha,
    Are you able to share any code, are you passing a String to as the filter value?
    If I'm filtering a table outside of the standard column menu, I normally use the filter function on row binding as I can set mutliple filters, rather than per individual column.
    var oFilter = new sap.ui.model.Filter("name", sap.ui.model.FilterOperator.Contains, "Ti");
    oTable.getBinding("rows").filter(oFilter);
