COM routine error code descriptions in SAP APO - transaction /SAPAPO/OM10

I had recently encountered a  COM error in SCM APO and wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what the error code actually meant.
If you ever have this issue, you can use transaction /SAPAPO/OM10 to resolve any COM routine error message.
You can also check the message class /SAPAPO/OM_TS and possibly some other /SAPAPO/OM* message classes as well. This is where the error message descriptions are coming from.
Hope this helps.

Hello Gabor,
-> As you know, you could use the transaction /n/sapapo/om10 to Display Meaning of COM Return Code.
-> In case you got a COM error in SCM APO => to avoid a spending a lot of time trying to figure out what the error code actually meant, please, open the OSS message to the component BC-DB-LCA to get the liveCache application support from SAP on this issue.
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina

  • Error for COM routine (Return code 40028)

    Dear Friends,
Need your support in order to tackle this issue.
Am working on SCM 4.1 ,Demand Planning. When you load the data in to the planning book you get the following error at the bottom:
"Error for COM routine using application program (Return code 40028)".
Well further investigation revealed the inconsistency in Live cache. It states the deviation in the start time in storage bucket profile and those in the data base.
Your feedback on the same is welcome.
    Pramod

    Hello Pramod,
You reported the LCA < COM > routine error 40028:: Illegal timestamp in rough timegrid
You got this error, when you tried to load the data in to the planning book.
The error could be due to the fact that the storage buckets profile and the time buckets profile in your application  scenario didn't match.
Could you please check if they match or not using the report
    /SAPAPO/ADMIN_MVIEW_CONS_CHECK.
Please check/change the definition of the bucket profiles that they match.
    Solutions may be:
    1) use a time bucket profile in your data view which match the storage bucket profile
    or
    2) deactivate your planning area, set there a storage bucket profile which match a time bucket profile, activate the planning area again and generate your planning book/data view again.
If you need further assistance on this issue please create the OSS ticket to the component 'SCM-APO-FCS'.

  • COM ROUTINE ERROR

Hi Any one can explain the reason for Com Routine Error 40.075.
    Description:
Error for COM routine using application program (return code 40.075)
All input time series to which you can distribute are fixed
And Please provide the solution also.
    Thanks and Regards,
    RAVI SAGAR CHENNU

    Procedure
Remove at least one of the fixings of the aggregated time series
    objects.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You have fixed information in your planning area, which is causing the
    issue to occurs.
So in tscube, if you try and load data into a key figure which has
at least one value fixed, the load will fail, if your selection criteria
in tscube overlaps with the aggregate level of the fixing. The reason is
because, tscube does the data set in one shot for the selection criteria
If your cube is a backup cube and you already have the fixing
information in it, you can use macro to unfix the fixing information in
the planning area, then use tscube to load.
Before executing the TSCUBE,you can schedule this macro job and then
execute the TSCUBE.while defining the macro you can check whether
the keyfigure value is fixed or not using the macro function
IS_FIXED(). If it's fixed then please unfix the cell.
You have fixed information in your planning area, which is causing the
    issue to occurs.
To run the macro considering fixings, please, update your macro. Change
the Row properties and flag the "Adjust Fixings" information for each
    row.
Also please find the below notes related to fixings:
    1599645
687074 Macros: General notes on fixing with macros
643517 Macrobuilder: Fixing key figures with a macro
Even that these notes do not apply because of the SP, information is
    relevant.

  • COM routine error in Background job.

    Hello All,
During background process of a job, we found a "Error for COM routine using application program (return code 40.301)" for a CVC. It caused a backgroung job to fail.
Could you please throw light, why this error comes only for this CVC ( as had the same instance before for the same CVC ) & how to fix it ?
    Reagrds
    Rahul Chitte

    HI Rahul,
COM routine errors are generally related to LC errors. There are a number of possible causes for it, the CVC was created when a macro was running or it was deleted from MPOS but not from LC etc etc.,
Solution to this is go /n/sapapo/msdp_admin --> Go to your planning area --> Double Click --> Look for Extras in Menu --> Go to Consistency check and do a time series consistency check.
Remember to click Check for Live Cache Anchor and leave 'Repair' unselected.
This will return what is the error. Once you see the error, you can go back and select the 'Repair' Also and then execute again. This should resolve the problem.
    Hope this is helpful.
    Thanks

  • Use of APO transaction /sapapo/tsobj

I have a question about the use of APO transaction /sapapo/tsobj - for the transport of planning areas and planning books.
As far as I can see, this transaction can be used to first transport planning areas, and <u>then</u> transport planning books.
Can one also use the transaction to transport planning areas <u>and</u> books <u>in one go?</u>
    Thanks,
    Bob Austin, Atos Origin

    absolutely
you can transport planning areas, planning objects, planning books, data views, selection ids and mass processing jobs as well in one shot.

  • COM routine error using application program (return code 40,134)

    All,
In Interactive Demand Planning ( /SAPAPO/SDP94 ), when im trying to load data in a planning book ther is an error 'Error while calling COM routines using application program (return code 40,134)
    is encountered.
    What should I do ?
    Regards
    Steve

    Hello Steve,
Return code 40.134 means a key figure operation tried, via a key figure anchor, to dereference a key figure object that does not exist in the liveCache.  This problem is due to master data inconsistency in the application.
You might as well want to open an OSS message in accordance with SAP Note 167280.

  • XI Alerting - Error Code-Descriptions

    Hi to all,
I'm just about to use the XI-Alerting for application support and got the following question:
Is there any resource where to get some kind of catalogue with descriptions for all XI-Error-Codes?
Of course, most of the category/code-names are quite self-explanatory but I'd like to have sort of reliable documentation.
I found several blogs and forum-threads concerned with specific categories/codes, but was not able to find one document about the whole thing (and as there are about 350 I think, it would be quite a puzzle to gather the information).
Any idea where to find something like that?

    Hi Jana,
I beleive there is no such documents that describe each and every Error category and Code. I faces the same problem while confiuring the Alerts for many interfaces.
Even I tried to find out on SAP Market place...but get nothing.
If you doing any research and will come up with any document thean please let me know also.
    Thanks
    Farooq.

  • Certification code for Complete SAP APO & SD?

    HI
    For SAP SD

    SAP APO
C_TSCM44_65 – SAP Certified Application Associate - Planning and GATP in SAP SCM APO 7.0 EhP1
Regarding completion of certification - it depends on
    1) your basic knowledge in SD and APO.

  • Flex - Getting the HTTP error code raised from SAP

    Hi all,
is there a way to catch the error code returned by a BSP page?
For example, I have a Flex HTTPService that points to a BSP page somedata.xml, which is populated after retrieving data in onInitialization handler.
In this handler, if something goes wrong, I set up the response error code like this:
    try.
    "Data Handler Class
    catch zcx_some_exc into lx_some_exc.
      error_string = lx_some_exc->get_text( ).
      response->set_status( code = 500 reason = error_string ).
    endtry.
In my faultHandler function in Flex, I need to display error_string in an Alert box:
    private function HTTPFaultEventHandler(event:FaultEvent):void{
      Alert.show(event.fault.faultString);
But in this way, it always display "HTTP Request error".
    Anyone can help me?
    Thanks a lot,
    R.

This is a known issue with flex HTTPService.
    what you could do is
set the status to 200 for BSP response
and pass the error message in xml format.
on the flex side, in your result handler, check the xml to see whether its error xml or your normal result xml.
if its error xml, you can provide an alert and then stop processing.

  • BADI/User Exit for APO Transaction: /SAPAPO/SNPTLB

    Hi Experts,
We have a proxy interface and currently we are using  FUNCTION EXIT_SAPMSNPUSER_006 for the APO Order transaction: /SAPAPO/SNPTLB.
This exist is triggering before the Order is being saved in APO and at times it is throwing an error 'Order key already exists in live cache' in the APO system.
Is there any other BADI or User exit available to Save the order in APO before the interface gets processed?, if so, plese guide me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vijaya

    Hello Lakshmi,
I am having the same issue with the message "Order key already exists in live cache" in our system.
We are using the user-exit EXIT_SAPMSNPUSER_005 for UoM conversion.  But we are not making any explicit proxy calls
to /SAPAPO/SNPTLB.  Does the system automatically call this transaction with this user-exit?
Did you get a resolution for the issue.  I would really appreciate if you can let me know how you have addressed this.
    Thanks,

  • Missing Button for Favorites in APO Transactions SAPAPO/AMON1

    Can anyone help here
I am missing the Favorites button in transaction SAPAPO/AMON1 - Alert Monitor Display. I need to know what object
controls this so I can create a new role and assign access as needed to selected Admin staff who will assign user access to required Favorites for
    general users
My login is fine but normal user logins the button is not available which is normal although I need to know what authorisation control this
    Thanks

I do not think this is Security Related at all.
Some Software Components (probably the GUI) are not installed on your machine Properly.  Please reinstall the FULL SAPGUI.  If this does not help also see if any SAP SCM-APO Patches are Incorrectly Installed.  In this case you have to check with the Basis Person on the team and together if you cannot figure please raise an OSS to SAP.
Hope this is helpfull in terms of a 'direction' to go for.

  • Has anyone come  across error code (-50)

anyone having issue with error (-50)

Theorem, you don't give any context as to what you were doing when you got the -50 error but I'll relate where I have seen it. I don't know if the underlying cause is the same as in the iOS5 copy operations others have reported.
Error -50 is described as being caused by an "Error in [a] user parameter list" (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1618).
I have found it during bulk copy operations performed by dragging a folder that contained a file with a name containing  a %20 (representing a space). Presumably this was resulting in a space being created in a file copy command line and the list of parameters for the command had an incorrect additional parameter as a result. Bulk copies between differently formatted disks or where the file names came from a third source such as a file/xml etc. are probably more likely to result in these unsupported file names. Problems are more likely to be identified during bulk copies as there are more files involved. Using a command line cp -R was a workaround for me (http://support.apple.com/kb/TA20831).
There is also mention in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error50 or error -50 being caused by timeouts over USB for which they recommend direct USB connection not using any hub. I have also seen hubs cause other issues which can be difficult to believe at the time but direct connnection is worth trying if you aren't already directly connected.

    Hi Sandeep,
If you have de-intialised the planning area and intialised agian the com routine errors will be washed out, but still it is surprising.
i guess this is something with the version that we are using in the planning area should have some issues.
i prefer you to run the re-oraganisation check for the vesion if not done earlier.
/SAPAPO/TSLCREORG - Check LiveCache Time Series Data
And please dont look at the issue only at planning area level, pls explore your circumstances at the whole planning areas and commom objects like Storage bucket profiles.
