Combining two or more interactive forms

How do you combine two or more interactive PDF's in Livecycle? I want to combine at least two forms I created separately in Livecycle so I can print them double sided. I am new to this program. If it is a matter of coding, could someone please explain the steps needed to achieve this. I'm hoping it is possible.

The only way to combine two LiveCycle forms is in Acrobat. There is a button at the top in Arobat Pro that say "Create". Click that and select PDF Portfolio from the bottom of that list. You can then pick how you would like your portfolio to look and work, and then click the "Add Files" button. You can add as many files as you need to. The display can be customized by changing the color themes, importing a background image or map and creating a custom header. The nice thing about a portfolio is that it can contain a variety of files, not just LiveCycle forms. You can import Word files, videos, music, whatever and when the user selects a file, it will open the native program that they have installed on their computer to run it. Individual pages can be extracted and saved to the user's computer, forms can be filled in and saved back to the portfolio.
The portolio is then saved as a pdf and the total size is less than the sum of all of it's parts. It can then be emailed and opened by anyone with the free Adobe Reader. We use it to combine brochures and forms in the same pdf to make it easy for our clients to access everything they need.

I have a scenario where I have few screens each - a separate adobe form. For e.g. One adobe form for item creation, one fore details, one for planning. I need to combine all this into one and save a copy of the PDF.
Save PDF option is present in the adobe options but it saves only the current form. I want to combine few forms and save the whole thing into 1 PDF document. Is there anyway we can do this?
I am using web dypro java for Adobe forms on NWDS 7.0

Thanks for the response but my requirement is different.
I have to combine the contents of three PDFs (different adobe forms in different views in one web dynpro component) into one PDF ( a separate Adobe Form in different view in the same web dypro component).
I would be glad to know if you have a solution for such scenario. I am working on this since 4 days with no solution yet.

I am executing a range of documents and I have to mail the documents. For examole 1 to 10 docs. I need to send it as PDF attachment. In that all the documents 1 to 10 should be combined to one PDF and it should be mailed with PDF attachment. Can anybody please help me get it done.
I am using GETPDF parameter in JOB_OPEN and fillable = 'x' in FM. I can do with one document, I need how to attch several documents and send it as mial.

You can certainly open the first OMF which will load into a session and as I recall you can then 'import' another OMF but that will only add the embedded audio files into the list of media files in the "Files" panel.
I haven't tried it but you could probably continue doing that with each of the other OMFs but if the media is AIF (and it is a good chance) then there probably won't be any BWF data to place the audio correctly on the timeline.
If you try to do the same in PT (and I'm no PT expert) PT will ask you to save the existing session and open the selected OMF - I could be wrong but not sure how that will happen in PT
I see the simplest solution as creating a 'reference' (ie not an embedded) OMF - then you can just send the OMF plus the media to whoever you need to without a 2gb restriction
Failing that you could (and I haven't tried this for a long time) you could import the OMFs into separate sesx sessions and then use AATranslator to append them into a single session - a bit of mucking around but achievable
My advice is to go with the reference OMF

I found out how to do what I wanted and I'm giving my steps in hopes that it might help someone else. I wanted to put several photos from a file onto a new blank image. This is what I did.
1. Create a blank page.    File/New/ Blank File.   Put in the size. I used 8x10.
2. Bring the photo you want to use into Elements as you always do. It will list along the top next to the blank sheet.
3. Choose SELECT (top of screen)/ Select All.
4. Choose Edit/Copy   or Command "C"
5. Click on the Blank File.   Chose Edit/Paste or Command "V"
6. Click on Image/ Transform or Command "T". There should be a dotted line around your pasted image. You can then move and adjust the image to how you want it. When finished, press the check-mark on lower right of photo.
7.   Repeat this with all the photos you want on the new blank file.
8. You will see on lower right of Elements, the background layer and as many layers as you have photos. These layers need to be permanently placed on the background layer. Go to Layers and press Merge Visible. This will merge all layers to the background.
9. Save as and you are done.

I mean how can I change format when I combine two or more column display value in drop down (default is space between columns, ex: "Name DepartName")

You could add a transient (calculated) attribute to your view object and use this one in your list binding.

Acrobat has a rich SDK, but not using the command line - declared obsolete by Adobe several decades ago (but taking a long time to die). To be fair, implementing thousands of APIs via command line would make for a rather complicated command line. Use OLE. BUT NOT ON A SERVER!!

Combine two lists in one form (1 to Many relation)

I have two list instances. I have a custom form on which I would like to show two lists and add more button to let user select to add more child records and save which should save in both the lists. And again when user pull the item from main list it should

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display two lists in a form and add item to both lists when clicking a button, also
you want to display items in child list when searching items from main list.
If that is the case, there is a possible solution is that you can create a custom web part with two Gridviews bind with the lists data and a button. When
you click button, you can add list items to both grid in code behind. And, when you search the items from main gridview , you can query the list items value in child list using CAML Query to display the items in child list.

Combining two or more Macs to share resources

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to join two or more Macs together and make them share their resources, like CPU, RAM or GPU (but I focus mainly on CPU). Is it possible?
I have already searched for information on the Internet but what I could find was information from 2+ years ago which featured older version of OS X, so I think I better start a new thread.

Powerpivot - Can't insert formula that combines two or more different columns and keep getting message "unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application...

I am using powerpivot v2 with excel 2010.
When I go to my excel file's powerpivot and I try to insert a formula in any column, I constantly get the following message:

I would have to ask my IT support person for more specifics, but as I understand the scenario with my particular laptop: the laptop came preloaded with RTM build of 2013. We used Control Panel to uninstall Office 2013, in order to install Office
2010. I installed PowerPivot add-in and used it successfully with no issues for several months. After attempting to install another program and encountering issues with apparent traces left behind of Office 2013 uninstall, I found the link above
and used the Fix It to attempt to remove all remaining traces of Office 2013. While it did appear to find and clean-up quite a bit left behind from the Office 2013 install, I was surprised to find an error upon entering my existing installation
of PowerPivot for 2010 and attempting to type new formulas into the formula bar.
My experience to-date is that an error message stating ""Return Argument Has an Invalid Type" appears anytime I select or modify a formula in the formula bar that would cause the intellisense to appear. For example, when I first click into the formula
bar, I do not get an error...but as soon as I type the first letter, before the intellisense appears, I get the error message. Throughout the remainder of the formula as I type, just prior to any time when the intellisense drop-down will appear
again, I get the same error message again (see details below).
At one time, although I can't reproduce it now, the error message did state ".Net Framework" in the menu bar of the error pop-up window. I can't get that to appear again, as it now only says "PowerPivot for Excel". Based on this, I had attempted
to see if I could repair my .NET framework install using the following tool:

I learned, however, that since I am running Windows 8 which comes with .NET 4.5 built-in to the OS, this tool does not yet cover that version for repair.

Can We Combine Two or More analysis?

Hi All ,
I have a data model on GL for transactional system. Manipulated it into star schema with chart of accounts and accounts hierarchy. For simple reporting like Assets, Expenses, Liabilities etc it is easy to know activity for the period with GL_JE_LINES Table with Sum (Dr-Cr).
When it comes to complex reporting like income statement and balance sheets etc. it is not giving me expected results because of calculated items show incorrect results (googled it that might be a bug).
Is there a way to calculate different things from rows based on same column without using calculated items?
Any workaround for variables ?
Is it possible to calculate third answer from previous two analysis?
Can we combine/merge analysis?

I do have prompts but in dashboard. I just make analysis and then create prompts separately later create dashboard page with these two.
I dont have variables in prompts. Also I never used variables in analysis because of no knowledge and practice for them.
So my question is specific to calculations. In my case if I want to calculate sales, those may be have filter on some other accounts comparative to analysis for cost of sales and operating cost.
Specifically:
1. Is there a workaround to combine the analysis, for example I want to add row from another analysis, if yes what is the way?
2. How variables can assist for calculations so that they can presentable or can be added to other row or analysis when needed?
3. Calculated items from analysis by grouping or custom formula gives wrong values, what is the reason?

Is it possible to copy 3 existing home made dvds onto one DVD-R disk. I can copy to a rewriteable disk DVD-RW but DVD player does not recognise the disk . Any ideas ??

If the DVD has the space to hold the three movies then you can fit them on there. Combining DVD movies is not like adding tracks on a CD. DVDs have pretty strict rules about what goes where = authoring. You will need to reauthor the DVD, creating a new VIDEO_TS folder accommodating your three movies together so it will play on your television DVD player. This is not just putting all the files in one folder, but creating correct information files to go with the video. Even if you have a tool that will re-author for you it may not create menus, which makes navigating using your TV pretty cumbersome. Sizzle is a freeware tool that lets you create new menus, but it hasn't been upgraded in a while and is not the most intuitive. If you're happy with just the most basic of menus and working out problems with software then you can use it.
So, simply copying the three sets of files onto a single DVD will not work in your video player, though you can play the files on your computer using a program like VLC.
The other problem you may be encountering is blank media quality. If you are using the cheap DVDs sold in bulk in discount stores you may find your player won't be able to read them. I have put the same movie on cheap DVDs and high-quality ones. The player could not read the chap DVDs but had no problem with the identical files on a good quality DVD. RW media (be it DVD or CD) can often present even more of a problem in players than non-rewritable media, unless you player specifically states it can handle RW.

How do you combine two or more different toolbars?

There is wasted space on multiple toolbars that could be utilized better by moving one tool bar's items up to the empty space above. IE Norton's tool bar has 3 / 4 items on it. The Firefox tool bar above has 3 items on it: Most Visited, Getting Started and Firefox Updated with 2/3's of the bar as empty space.
Even the menu toolbar has over half of the toolbar as empty wasted space.

You can (temporarily) hide unneeded toolbars via "View > Toolbars"
The bar with Most Visited and Getting Started is the Bookmarks Toolbar and if you open "View > Toolbars > Customize" then you can drag the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" item onto another toolbar (e.g. Menu bar) and hide that now empty Bookmarks toolbar.<br />
Toolbars added by an extension can only be merged onto another toolbar if that extension supports that feature and most extensions do not.
