I have made a query via SQ01 . Now i have assigned two users to execute the query but both these users are from different companies and able to execute the query for another company also which is not correct .
What i want to do is to restrict company code in accordance to user id of the respective person .
We do not have an abapper currently ? Can anyone help me with this ?

Hi,
You can restrict the users from accessing the query from infoset with standard/custom authorization authorization for company code.
if company code selection field is defined inside the infoset,then authorization check can be implemented in at selection screen event inside the infoset.
if the company code selection field is defined in query level,then we can implement authorization check at start-of-selection event in infoset.

How to enable/disable the input fields based on the data entered in the web dynpro application abap? If the user enters data in one input field then only the next input field should be enabled else it should be in disabled state. Please guide.

Try this code.
First create a attribute with the name readonly of type wdy_boolean and bind it read_only property of input field of which is you want to enable or disable.
Next go to Init method.
Set the readonly value as 'X'.

CAML query to return multi-user field from a Sharepoint list

I have a list in SharePoint that contains a field of type Multi-User which can contain 1 to many user names. I'm having trouble returning a string containing anything when more then 1 user is selected in the field. Can someone point me in the right
direction?

You can't query on a Mutli-user field using a "contains" filter - using the GUI.
However, you can change the CAML for the query using SharePoint Designer.
E.g. In my view, I want to return a list of documents where the Contributor field (a multi-user field) contains the user "Warner".
In the GUI, I create the view, but I'm not allowed to use the filter "Contains", so I use "Equals" instead. Of this won't work unless the only user is "Warner". So I open SharePoint Designer, and I change the query used on that view from Eq to Contains.

This now works.
However, the SharePoint team probably put this restriction in place for a reason. Possibly a performance related reason, due to the query performed on the SQL server, so use this method with caution.

Query help needed for Sales order panel user field query.

I have a user defined form field on sales order row level called = U_DEPFEEAMT
1, I would like this field to get the value from a field on this sales order row level multiplied by what is in point 2 below. The details of field in point 1 is :
Form=139, item=38, pane=1, column=10002117, and row=1
2. The contents in field 1 should be multiplied by a value coming from another user field linked to OITM master item.
The details of user field attached to OITM is :
OITM.U_DepositFeeON

Content presenter: content source based on a query resulting in error

I am using a content presenter taskflow showing content based on a query. After some changes were made to the Webcenter Content instance (extra metadata field, extra profiles) the query is resulting in an error. In my WC_Spaces log I see the following message:

When I select a single item to be shown in the content presenter taskflow, I works fine. It also works fine when showing all documents in a folder.
Does any body have an idea what might be the problem I am facing and how to fix it?

Hi all,
I found what caused the error. Someone had set the CollectionID metadata field in WCC to non-searchable. This resulted in an error in the CollectionsFilter.
Setting the field back to searchable in WCC solved the problem.

Update/Insert into two fields based on value of one.

How would I do the following in ADDT.
Example:
I have a database about dogs. When user completes form they make a selection from a recordset feed drop down box of breeds. Lets say they select "PUG" based on the selection two fields are populated from the same recordset size="small" and color="brown".

Let end user to set up the query

Hi all!
Is there a way to let end user to set up a query/report with forms?
= users can use a form (whit predefined values) to determine which column(s) shows in the result and can add filters before submit.
Because a cube is stored in relational tables i think it's not an olap question.
But here is why i asked this:
I make an application that query an olap cube. I can make reports with apex from the cube view and from dimension views. But i want to let users to select from the available dimensons and measures and set filters on selected dimensions (on first page) using a form. When user submit the form the second page shows the result.

This is what I've done in that application example.
1 - I have two pages. Page 1 is the select columns and filters page and Page 2 is the report
2 - On page 1, I have created a PL/SQL page process, called P1_CREATE_COLLECTION, that runs "Before Header". This is unconditional and has a Source Process of:

In this example, I'm retrieving a list of all of the columns in the EMP3 table (which is just a copy of EMP plus a few extra fields). I'm also getting the data type for the column, setting the "Show" value to Y and starting with an empty filter string for each column. The actual data is retrieved into a collection called FILTERING. In this way, I can store all of the user's selections for use on Page 2. The IF test just ensures that I don't overwrite the collection if it already exists - that is so that I can keep any settings that the user made when they were last on Page 1.
This collection gives allows me to store the following:
SEQ_ID - the collection's sequence ID
C001 - The COLUMN_NAME
C002 - The DATA_TYPE
C003 - The Y/N flag for SHOW_IN_REPORT
C004 - The filter to be applied to the column
3 - I created a "SQL Query (updateable report)" report. To do this you need to create a report using the SQL Wizard - any SQL statement will do - then you can change the report type from "SQL Query" to "SQL Query (updateable report)". I haven't found another way to do this.
The report's SQL was changed to:

5 - Finally, on Page 1, I created a PL/SQL process, triggered by my button, and in the "On Submit - After Computations and Validations" process point. The Process code for this is:

END;This loops through the FILTERING collection twice. The first time to build up a SQL SELECT statement containing all of the columns in EMP3 that the user wants to show
The second loop then builds up a WHERE clause for the statement based on any filters the user wants to apply. I have used the DATA_TYPE values stored in the C004 field to identify the format of the value in the WHERE clause - either VARCHAR2, which puts the string in quotes, DATE, which casts the string as a date using DD/MM/YYYY format and then any other value (which should be NUMBER), which just outputs the value entered.
Note that I've used vQ to hold the quote character (CHR(39)) as I find this easier than trying to work out how many single, double or triple quotes I need to get quotes within the string.
All of this just builds up a string (vSQL) which is returned to Apex at the end of the code so that it can build the report.
Note that I have also ticked the option under the Region Source setting to show "Use Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only)". This needs to be done as the columns are changeable.
2 - I created a button called P2_BACK_BUTTON which branches back to Page 1
Obviously, this is a very basic example. You could, for instance, go one step further and allow the user to pick the table (SELECT TABLE_NAME FROM ALL_TABLES) or view (SELECT VIEW_NAME FROM ALL_VIEWS). As the final report is being constructed as a string, it doesn't matter how the table/view name is derived. You could also add popups for calendars and calculators, where appropriate, on Page 1.

FAQ: CR (based on Bex query) bursting with Local profile

We have the following scenario
1. A CR based on BEx query, specified to use a BW account with the property - 'use same DB account for refresh'.
2. Created a profile with two different Groups, each group having a specific CR expression for a field. The users in this group are enterprise aliases not BW aliases
3. Created a publication with the above two Groups as 'Enterprise Recipient'
4. Assigned personalization on a specific field with local profile (the profile created in step2)
When we schedule the publication with the option 'single DB refresh for each batch', it fails with the error "User specific security is in use. One database fetch per recipient must be used"

Update FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT user-field

We have inserted an editable user-field on BSEG, COBL, FAGLFLEXA & FAGLFLEXT. The purpose of this field is to classify the Bank Operations basing on a matchcode.
This classification can be changed after posting. When we change the value of the field through FB02, table BSEG is updated, but not FAGLFLEXA nor FAGLFLEXT.
Have you managed to update FAGLFLEX* tables?

Selection screen field not working in Query

Hi Gurus!
I have a small problem with one of my query that I just created for finding status of our customers. I have a code section which handles it all . The problem is that I ahve a user field called "Check date" which I ahve used in selection screen as well as the layout, when I put a value in this field in the selection screen the report dosent give any output " NO data to display" but when I leave it open it does give me the out put with the saem check date as I ahd entered earlier in my selection screen.
I am not sure where my selection code is working wrong . Could anyone please help me out please.

Bold a single row in a Report based on SQL Query

Should be easy? So, how do I bold a single row in a report based on SQL query without creating a new template or writing Java for the page? What is the Tabular Form Element "Element Attributes" field for? Or what am I supposed to put in there to make it do anything?

One way to do this is to add a hidden column to your report which contains the formatting value, for example:
select empno
, ename
, sal
, decode(empno,1,'font-weight:bold','font-weight:normal') style
from emp
Hide the STYLE column.
Then you can use this column for each column in Column Formatting > HTML expression in this way:
<span style="#STYLE#">#SAL#</span>
Unfortunately you have to do this for each colum you want to appear bold.

Adding New Fields to a BEx Query does not show up in the CR field explorer

This could be a silly question.
I have a CR report based on a BEx query. I had to add a couple of new fields to the BEx query, and when i want to add those fields to the CR report, I don't see them even after I do a refresh in the field explorer.
How do i see this new fields in the CR report?

you can open the report and go to the menu Database > Verify Database.
that should add the new fields to the list of fields in CR
