Command to transfer traffic from active firewall to standby
Hi there,
I am looking for a command to divert traffic to stanby firewall even though active firewall is up. is there a command like that. PLZ help. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
You can for example log to the standby unit and issue the command.

UCCX 8.0 SNMP notification to report failover from active to the standby server?
Does any know the UCCX 8.0 SNMP notification to report failover from active to the standby server? (The specific notification.)
ftp://ftp.cisco.com/pub/mibs/v2/CISCO-VOICE-APPS-MIB.my
I see this in the MIB.
cvaModuleStart NOTIFICATION-TYPE
OBJECTS { cvaAlarmSeverity, cvaModuleName }
STATUS current
DESCRIPTION
"A cvaModuleStart notification signifies that an
application module or subsystem has successfully
started and transitioned into in-service state.
This notification is working in conjunction with
the cvaModuleStop notification to notify the start
and stop status of a particular application module."
::= {ciscoVoiceAppsMIBNotifications 1}Attached are two files:
cad-ecc-viewer.html
This is a template HTML document which dictates how the pop up will look and what data fields are available.
cad-ecc-viewer.vbs
This is the Windows Scripting Host file which you run from a CDA workflow, and you pass it the values of the call data, it then launches an instance of IE and loads the above template.
By default the code is setup to use the following data from the call, but can be modified to work with more, less, or different data:
Customer Name
Customer Status (like Premium, or Platinum)
Customer Number (like an account number)
Customer Phone Number
So when you specify the VBS file to run in CDA you need to pass those variables in that order.
The CDA should expect the VBS file on the root of C:\ by default, and the VBS file expects the HTML Template on the root of C:\ also.
I have only tested this on UCCX 7x and IE 8x. Use the code as a guide to your own solution, that suites your business requirements.
EDIT: I see that this does not work on my Win7/IE9 system, so I will spend some time updating the code for Win7/IE9 and I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi, I activated my CS6 in 2012 under my student licence and still using it. I've heard that you can't run CS6 on multiple computers. How do I transfer it from one computer to another as I am switching computers?
Hi,
first, I'm not Adobe's "slave" as you might to accuse me. Most of the posters here are users like me.
I only can repeat that what I found in Adobe's help sites, as I wrote above. You are free to figure out the "real" truth and - the best would be - you may contact Adobe directly, here are - I'm sure you know them - the links I would use: http://helpx.adobe.com/support.html and http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html.

PatchYou could just save the read data straight to a text file. That would be the simplest way.

Hi,
I have been asked to configure the firewall on the SQL PaaS instance to only allow traffic from a specified PaaS website that is within the same subscription. I can't see any way to set a static internal IP for the website, is there a way to identify it
for the purpose of the SQL Database firewall rule?
Thanks,
KarinaYou're right, KG! Sorry.
This article mentions a reserved-IP:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn690120.aspx
It specifically mentions your scenario:
You want to ensure that outbound traffic from Azure uses a predictable IP address. You may have your firewall configured to allow only traffic from specific IP addresses. By reserving a VIP, you will know the source IP address and won’t
have to update your firewall rules due to a VIP change. This is especially helpful if you want to configure your firewall before you create your cloud service.
The only thing I'm not confident on would be if it works with Azure Websites - it does mention cloud services, though. If you have further questions, I can give a shot myself and see if I can get a working example. -
SQL firewall rule to restrict traffic from only one Azure PaaS website
Hi,
I have been asked to configure the firewall on the SQL PaaS instance to only allow traffic from a specified PaaS website that is within the same subscription. I can't see any way to set a static internal IP for the website, is there a way to identify it
for the purpose of the SQL Database firewall rule?
Thanks,
KarinaHi Karina,
If you used Azure Vm, you could set ta static internal IP for your VM. And you can host your website on VM.https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn630228.aspx
But for Azure Website service, I think you may not set the internal IP. But I think you can try to add the website server into your allow rule list if you used the basic or standard mode website.
BTW, I suggest you can post this issue on SQL Azure forum for more helps:

How do i transfer files from old ipad to new ipad if it has already been activated as new?
I purchased a new ipad and need to transfer files from my old ipad. However, it has already been set up as new and all support suggestions I have found have been for choosing the restore option in the set-up stage. How do I do it now that it has been activated?
It depends on if you even have a backup. If you had a backup, I don't suppose that you would have to ask how to restore from it.
Did you backup your old iPad? If you so, did you backup with iTunes or iCloud? This explains how to backup and how to restore from a backup, but once again, if you don't have that backup any longer, this will not work.

How do I transfer emails from a non-active superseded inbox to local files.
I have changed servers and cancelled my old server (email service). I want to transfer all my old emails from my old inbox into local folders so I can delete the old account. I have a new account and a new inbox which is working fine. When I try to transfer emails from the old inbox, the software tries to logon to the old server - which no longer works - and won't let me transfer the emails. I can see and read the emails - so they are on my local computer. I don't want to lose all the old emails. I no longer have access to my old server.
Imap emails are kept on the server.
If you synchronized folders for offline use, then it would create an mbox file and keep a copy on your computer. When you connect with server, it updates this file so that the server and your copy are the same.
As the server is no longer accesible, they will have removed all emails, so you do not want to connect to that server as it would wipe all your emails to match the server. So it is good that you cannot connect. It is also fortunate that it did not make a last connection to an empty server. For future reference it would be better to move IMAP mail account emails prior to stopping the account.
It sounds like you synchronized emails, which explains why you can still see emails.
Two options that I can think of:
Go into 'offline mode' and then try to move the emails into Local Folders.
Another option.
Download the addon 'ImportExportTools', then in offline mode, use it to move the emails.

How to transfer user accounts from Active Directory to Open Directory
Please help me , want to tranfer user accounts from Active Directory (Windows server 2012 ) to Open Directory (OS X server 10..2.9)
Hi,
Go to the advanced administration for the OSX Server:
https://help.apple.com/advancedserveradmin/mac/3.1/#apd6D7FE39D-32AA-400C-91E1-5 0ABC15655C8
This pretty easy way of connecting your server to the Windows server should give AD users access to OD services. That will be a good start.
Read up on this as well:
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH15469
Do you want to import them all or just the Mac users?
Goodluck!

When executing 'duplicate target database for standby from active' the system tablespace/datafile (datafile 1) is not cloned. All other datafiles clone successfully. The RMAN process aborts with the following errors while attempting to clone the system tablespace/datafile.
ORA-19558: error de-allocating device
ORA-19557: device error, device type: DISK, device name:
ORA-17627: ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
ORA-17627: ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
ORA-03135: connection lost contact
Here are the details:
Primary is 11.2.0.2 RAC database on an Exadata platform
Standby is 11.2.0.2 Single Instance database (same patch level as primary) on a Red Hat Linux box
This is an ASM to ASM duplication.
This is not unique to this database. We tried another database and go the same behavior - all datafiles clone successfully with the exception of the system tablespace/datafile.
We have traced the RMAN execution and it seems to fail when it is trying to assign a NEWNAME to the system tablespace/datafile.
We even issued an explicit SET NEWNAME command but RMAN ignored it.
We also shutdown the primary and started is up in mount mode thinking that something had ahold of the System Tablespace/datafile.
We also opened up the network firewall to allow permit any,any traffic.
We increased the max_server_processes
and added TCP.NODELAY=yes to the sqlnet.ora file.
There seems to be some artifact present in our Primary System tablespace/data file that is preventing it form being cloned.
checked all alert files grid, asm, and dbhome - no abnormal messages.
We are in the process of restoring the database from a backup but we would prefer to get this working using the 'Active Database' methodologyI successfully created the standby database using RMAN backup and recovery.
I started the managed recovery. Archive logs are being sent from the primary to the standby ( I can see them in ASM), but the standby is not applying them.
I get the following messages in the standby alert log...

Monitoring network traffic from large queries to client
Hi, is there any way to monitor the volume from network traffic from the server to the client, the statistics SQL*net message to client and SQL*net message from client don't show a full picture.
I have a query that sends several GB of data to a client but the SQL*net statistics done show anything like this, is there any way I can see the volume of traffic from the RDBMS statistics?

Sounds like you're looking at the Wait events only - you need to check the instance (or session) activity - v$sysstat/v$sesstat for the following stats:
NAME
bytes sent via SQL*Net to client
bytes received via SQL*Net from client
SQL*Net roundtrips to/from clientIt's worth pointing out, by the way, that SQL*Net can do "compression" on the fly by comparing columns across rows of data sent, so the volumes you see in these stats may not match the volume you finally see arriing in the client code. ( http://jonathanlewis.wordpress.com/2010/05/07/sqlnet-compression/ )
If you need to optimise the transfer rate, look at the SQL*Net configuration (at both ends) for the Session Data Unit (SDU) and the o/s transmit and receive buffers.

Block all incoming traffic and Active FTP
Will setting the firewall to Block all incoming traffic break Active FTP Connections?
The firewall will normally dynamically create exceptions for the Connection using the Application Layer Gateway, but will the profile override these?Hi TribleTrouble,
Do you have any issue about FTP active mode?
If the clients are part of your domain, push the FTP firewall rules via GPO to your clients allowing FTP inbound sockets
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="File Transfer Program" protocol=TCP profile=domain Program=C:\Windows\System32\ftp.exe dir=in action=allow
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="File Transfer Program" protocol=UDP profile=domain Program=C:\Windows\System32\ftp.exe dir=in action=allow
For Windows 7, the entire networking stack was rewritten and several security measures were taken to further secure Windows.

Script has to be run from auxiliary.
Great details, but what I don't see is how you connect in RMAN.
Example
Start RMAN
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/rman target=sys/@recover2 auxiliary=sys/@reclone
Recovery Manager: Release 11.2.0.2.0 - Production on Wed Feb 22 14:50:31 2012

connected to target database: RECOVER2 (DBID=3806912436)
connected to auxiliary database: RECLONE (not mounted)Nothing in your tnsnames or listener jumps out as wrong. I copied them into my text editor and compared against my working ones.
Generally for active duplication I start the future standby on a pfile NOMOUNT.
Auxiliary Instance Initialization Parameters Needed :
DB_NAME
CONTROL_FILES
DB_BLOCK_SIZE
( add extra parameters like DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT and LOG_FILE_NAME_CONVERT instead of using the SET command - clean up standby spfile right after duplication )
Then start RMAN and finally run a single line duplication command.
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/rman target=sys/@primary auxiliary=sys/@standby
