Comparison Sales report by period
Hi Experts,
I am trying to figure out how to create a report for which I have sales figues for one quarter compared to another quarter and then have these compared to the previous year?
In other words the report should look like this
1st Quarter 2009 | 2nd Quarter 2009 | % diff | 1st Quarter 2008 | 2nd Quarter 2008 | % diff
Item 1
Item 2
Item 3

Monthly Sales Report - Prior year comparison
I am created a monthly sales report for Sales in Crystal 2011. I have a parameter prompting for a date e.g. 02/01/2014 to 02/28/2014. I would like to have the sales amounts beside this column for 2013.
I found this formula but I can only get my results from 2014.Anyone have an idea how I can do this ?

1) Modify the Record Selection Formula to;

This should give you current and previous year's data for the period chosen by the user.
2) Assuming you have a group on the Date field set to print for each year, simply create a running total from the Field Explorer.
Name it Current Year.
Choose 'Sales Amount' as the field to Summarize.
Choose 'Sum' as the Summary Operation.
Under 'Evaluate', select 'use a formula' and use this code:
date_field IN
[cdate(year({?FromDate}), Month({?FromDate}), day({?FromDate})) TO cdate(year({?ToDate}), Month({?ToDate}), day({?ToDate}))]
Set it to Reset at each Group For Year
3) Create another Running Total and call it 'Previous Year'.
Everything remains the same from Step 2 except the evaluate formula:

You will have to get a Z report developed for this requirement, it will be a Sales Register looking at the requirement
Firstly discuss with the client and finalize the selection screen , based on which parameters the client wants nto check this report
1. Customer
2. Billinng Document
3. Sales Area
4. Billing Type
5, Period
And based on this system can collect all the billing documents (except cancelled) and pick up the required values from the billing document tables.
Finalize if the client would also like to see the all the discounts, freights, rebate (if any) , taxes (separetly) , exchange rates (exports) and any other condition types, this will save all the modifications in the future.
Also finalize what all billing types have to be excluded, like cancelled, credit notes, debit notes etc and also how the values have to be displayed, rounded off. -

You have to analyse it in the sales analysis report based on the parent item or you want to know the child items qty as well. If yes then you need to customize your PLD for sales analysis report. Please assure me whether this sales BOM remains same or changes by time?

We are comparing 3 different "Sales" figures and I wonder if you can confirm my understanding about the differences between them:
The parameters we use would be exactly the same, ie the same period, to include ALL Items and ALL Business Partners
1. In SALES/Sales Reports/Sales Analysis/ Analysys by Customer = £ XXXXX (for 2011) My understanding is that this figure includes:
+ A/R Item Invoices
- A/R Item credit Notes
+ Service Invoices
- Service Credit Notes
So this report does not include Adjustment Journals posted to Sales Nominal Accounts
2. In SALES/Sales Reports/Sales Analysis/ Analysis by Item = £ XXXXX1 (for 2011) My understanding is that this figure includes+
+ Items from Item A/R Sales Invoices
- Items from A/R Sales Credit Notes
So this report does NOT contain Service Invoices so that may explain the difference between 1 and 2. Please confirm if this is correct.
3. In the Financial Profit and Loss SALES figure is £XXXXX51 (for 2011)
This figure is different from 1 and 2 because it contains 1 + Adjustment Journals.
I would be grateful if you can confirm the contents of these reports and how they are arrived at in SAP.

You understanding is correct.
The 1st report will cover more than the 2nd one because 2nd one only retrieve amounts from itemtype documents.
The 3rd one include all JE related to the customers.

Regarding sales report using MC+E
Hi all,
We are viewing sales report using T-Code MC+E. In the main screen there is a variant for the selection of period. The period we are giving there is pulling up calender year. We want it to pick Fiscal Year instead of Calender Year.
Is there any where in the configuration that we can make that setting on.
Can any one suggest me to resolve this issue. Let me know if I am not clear with anything.

Creating sales report from AR Data

I'm Willie Owens. The company that I work for is currently in the process of implementing Oracle 11i applications. However, I have recently learned that when we first go-live with our system, we won't have the business intelligence system up. Therefore, I am going to have to create most of the views used for our sales reports from "scratch". Has anyone every used the RA_Customer_TRX_All and RA_Customer_TRX_Lines_All tables under the AR schema to accurately reflect sales information? If so, I could appreciate any input or suggestions that are offered.

Perhaps I should begin by describing some of the reports. One of the reports shows the sales by salesrep. These are the fields that are going to be used:sales amount, percent of sales, cost of sales, profit, percent of profit, and margin percent.
I have some ideas but I'm just not certain. For the For example, to compute the sales amount would I use the UNIT_SELLING_PRICE * QUANTITY_INVOICED or UNIT_SELLING_PRICE * QUANTITY_ORDERED?
Also, to calculate the cost of sales, do I use the UNIT_STANDARD_PRICE * QUANTITY_INVOICED(or QUANTITY_ORDERED)?
I understand that my profit would be the difference between these two previously calculated amounts. I also need the user to be able to enter a period ending date value. The Discoverer report should then capture all of the sales up to this entered date.
Then to further complicate things, I have to be able to calculate all of these values for the Period To Date(which means that it will capture all of the sales info from the 1ST day of the current month up until the Period Ending Date);a Year To Date Line will also show these values from January 1st of the current year up until the Period Ending Date. -

If yes, Use T-Code - MCTC.
Also refer this path for other Standard Reports:

If LIS is not activated, you will go for a Z-Report Development.
Also check standard report - VF05N, if it suits your requirement.

Is there a standard report where I can get the grand total of all the sales net values on the system? I am using VA05 and VA03 but I want to enter a range.

Dear Friends
When I am using stand Sales Reports in LIS (MCA,MC(A, MCA, MC+2 ) I am getting report when I have entered only Date but not with customer or Article.
I am getting Error that "No data exists for chosen selection"
I have maintained Customer statics group as well as Material statics group in customer & material Master respectively
Even I have assignments in OVRP and OVRO what need to check to get the report.
