Compatibility with filemaker pro 11.x

hello !
Please: compatibility Mavericks with filemaker pro 11.x ?
I work fine on my Macbook pro 10.8.5 with filemaker pro 11.0.4.
Thanks.

Filemaker says no for 11: http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12643
and
Filemaker says yes for 12 if it is updated to 12.0.5: http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11930
I haven't had a chance to try out 11 on Mavericks yet to see how well if work or if at all. On the web some say it did work after they deactivated a plug-in or two. Hopefully more of us will be trying it out and let the whole community know how FMP 11 performs.

  • I want to be able to view data created with filemaker pro on my muse site

I have created a muse site and would like to include a page that has five drop down menus on it that pull from a (preferably filemaker pro) database. The idea being, that each dropdown determines where the next set of data is pulled from in the database.
I have spent some time looking around and seen a lot of information about business catalyst etc but have not seen a clear and definitive answer.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?
    Many thanks in advance!

Thank you Anshul, much appreciated. I will look into trying this! Ill get back to you. Thanks for the link too. Ill take the following(see below) from it and try that out too!
"Late to the party but I've worked with filemaker pro in the past and the BC API extensively.
Filemaker pro is well filemaker pro, it's meant for little commercial ventures or organizing your CD collections, anything business with over 20,000 records I would use or get something else (like BC). Even MS acesss is better, although harder to use, filemaker is also prone to database corruption so you need to backup.
For automation, filemaker pro has ODBC connect-ability so you can directly access the data stored within it, piping data in or out or to the BC API if you wanted. Since filemaker pro is a self contained local app (and if I were building something) I would build a little local tool app you could launch and import / export the data for you based on your business rules or what you were trying to automate, this could be automated if you wanted to do something like that.
If you or anyone is interested, it's relatively straight forward working with ODBC since it's base is SQL to get to the data. Just need the business logic on what you want to achieve."

  • Photoshop CS4 crashes with Filemaker Pro 8.5 open

Normally, continuous crashes in a new Adobe application results in a fairly quick fix in the form of an update. I let the application report the error codes via the automated submission process. However, I have had this problem for months now without any apparent remedy. I use Filemaker Pro 8.5 on Windows XP SP3 for all my invoicing and production scheduling. Photoshop CS4 will crash twice trying to run with Filemaker Pro open, however on the third try, it will run, but then Filemaker Pro will be frozen and require Ctrl-Alt-Delete force close to access again. I cannot use Filemaker Pro 9 or 10 due to the 8.5 requirements of the VERY expensive invoicing system.
Hopefully Adobe techs lurk these forums and will report attempt to resolve this issue.
Also, ONLY the Adobe website will freeze in my IE 8.0.6001 browser. I had to use Firefox 3.0.11 to access the website and then the forum. I see other users below this entry are reporting the same issue without a solution. I tried and tried again and waited. Apparently there is an issue related to the Flash banner, whereas all else will load, but the browser will hang up on the animation load. It eventually works, but not without long delay and browser hang up.

  • What logic boards are compatable with macbook pro mid 2010

i'm just curious about what logic boards are compatable with my macbook pro mid 2010?  didn't know if i needed to stay within the same year or if there are others that would work with mid 2010 layout inside the casing.  right now i have 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB and really looking to upgrade this if i can find one online from a mac with a broken screen or some defect with the logic board intact.

Rather than the Samsung EVO, I would get a Crucial M500 series - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-960GB-Solid-State-Drive/dp/B00BQ8RGL6/ref=pd_sim _computers_5 - they just seem to 'play well' with Macs where some people have reported problems with Macs and the EVO series.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

Yes, you can install Reader XI with Acrobat Pro 9.5.5; it should not create any incompatibility issue.

  • Audio/MIDI Interface Compatibility with Logic Pro 7.2

    Hello,
Is/are there a recommended audio/midi interface(s) that will work without audio/midi timing glitches with Logic Pro 7.2? Currently, I am using Pro Tools LE v7.1, along with the DIGI002 Rack. That combination works very well, with no glitches whatsover. The possibility of using Logic Pro 7.2 raises the question of what would be a compatible interface. I don't think the DIGI002 Rack has the necessary drivers, although I may be mistaken. However, there must be an interface that works well with Logic Pro 7.2.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
    Thank you,
    TonyVT
iMac Intel Dual Core   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hello,
I went to the Metric Halo Web site and was not able to find the interface that you may have been referring to. It looks like the Mobile I/O may be the correct one, however, that interface is much more than I would want to spend (http://www.mhlabs.com/metric_halo/products/mio/)
The price seems to be @ $1200. Anyway, I am somewhat confused regarding the Metric Halo.
Any additional advice/help would be appreciated.
    Thank you,

  • Family Tree Maker compatibility with MacBook Pro upgrades

Blessings to those who are able to reply with possible answers.   I am sorry....but I have spent days working on getting my two USB ports to work also.  I basically use the USB ports for a wireless mouse and various flashdrives/memory sticks.  I have a MacBook Pro 2011 Snow Leopard 10.6.8  I have tried software update, SMC and PRAM resets, battery reset, hardware test, creating a new user account....and browsing and reading numerous discussion boards.....awgh!  I have stopped short of using my install DVD (fear of loosing data), upgrading to Lion or Mountain Lion (some fear of loosing an application that might not be compatible  FAMILY TREE MAKER 2010  19.2.1.241), contacting an Apple Store (AppleCare or whatever--live 2 hours away + fear of expense), and of course, trashing the laptop.  Does anyone out there have any possible solutions?   I see I am not alone.  --A frustrated first-time Apple products owner.

Quote below from the Family Tree site:
    System Requirements:
Mac OS X 10.5 or later, including OS X Lion (10.7)
    Intel-based Mac
    DVD Drive
All online features require Internet access.
Since Mountain Lion has not been released, there is no mention of compatibility.

  • Pcie card compatability with mac pro

I started getting regular Kernel Panics after installing a PCIe card (in slot 3) to connect my 750gb seagate pro drive to my mac pro via eSATA (the specs for the PCIe card are below).
    http://www.avlab.com.tw/sata/10060109000bx.htm
I have uninstalled the drivers and my mac has stopped crashing. My problem is that since the silgate 3132 driver is (im told) pretty much universal for running this kind of pcie card, how can I be sure that if I purchase another card it won't start causing kernel panics again?
    Any help much appreciated,
    Henry

I know im being stupid (sorry) but what do you mean by using up all four of the drive slots in the mp?
I inserted a pcie card in pcie slot 3 because there are no external esata ports on my macpro and i needed one to connect an esata drive.
with regards to the pcie card itself i've pretty much given up on making it work as from looking at their site whilst they claim mac compatability it seems to have been something of an afterthought.
my problem is that im worried any pcie esata card i buy will conflict with my mac because i've been told that they mostly use the same generic si3132 drivers which caused the kernel panic.

  • Audition CC - Compatibility with Mac Pro 2012 (Quad-Core) & RME UFX

I am new here and wanting to use Audition again after being away for years, so I apologize if this is a dumb question. In previewing a training video about Audition CC it highlighted that Audition CC is now 64 bit.  Before I download CC I want to be sure that the 64 bit part does not present a problem for me on my system.  I do not know if my hardware is 32 or 64 bit.  My question is - Will I have any compatibility issues with my hardware: Mac Pro 2012 Quad-Core & RME UFX interface and the Audition CC software?  Thanks for any light you can shed on this for me.

It's not the hardware you want to worry about (that will be 64-bit capable, as all Macs are) but the software. If it's a recent Mac I don't think you'll have any problems at all, though - do they actually do a 32-bit release?
The best thing to do if you're worried about this is to download the trial version and see if that's okay.

  • External Hard Drive Compatibility with Surface Pro 3

what external hard drive will work with the surface pro 3

as per suggestion from this site, I suggest you thinking about another option like OneDrive (cloud storage), USB drives (pen drive), and microSD cards
    https://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/support/storage-files-and-folders/surface-storage-options
this is the tips to free up your disk space
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/free-up-disk-space
I suggest use external HDD which using less power (external HDD mobile) or powered external HDD, since Surface only have 900ma (4.5v)

  • External hard disk compatibility with Macbook Pro

I am a PC user and I am thinking of getting a Macbook Pro but have some reservations regarding the following:
Will my existing USB external hard disk drives continue to work with MBP?
Will I have any folder sharing issues between my PCs and MBP?
Or, should I really need to dual boot or virtualize Windows 7 to avoid these issues?
Any tips on how to dual boot or virtualize Windows 7 in MBP would also be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

Will my existing USB external hard disk drives continue to work with MBP?
There should be no problem. Can you tell us how the drives are formatted?
Will I have any folder sharing issues between my PCs and MBP?
You shouldn't have any issues it's very easy to set up. Read this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1812?viewlocale=en_US
Or, should I really need to dual boot or virtualize Windows 7 to avoid these issues?
That's up to you. If all you want to do is file sharing then there is no need to dual boot, simple networking will solve that problem.
Any tips on how to dual boot or virtualize Windows 7 in MBP would also be much appreciated.
You can use Boot Camp or Vitualization using Parallels or VM Ware Fusion. All three will allow you to run Windows on a Mac. If you go the Boot Camp route you have turned a partition of your Mac into a PC. If you use Fusion or Parallels this allows you to run MS Windows inside OS X. Performance for most tasks is excellent.
I would also suggest you study both:
    Switch 101
    Mac 101

  • IMac G4 compatibility with Epson Pro 3800

recently put downpayment on Epson Pro 3800 printer, all advertising said it will work with os 10.4.x, but on further buried research, they "recommended" a G5, or intell etc.
will this Epson work on my iMac G4

I don't have an E P 3800, but I see system requirements: Mac or PC on the web page. I have never seen a printer from a major manufacturer not work on a G4 if it works with any PPC.

  • Max cpu compatibility with k7t266 pro

    Hello,
I'm new at this forum and it looks like a great place to get assistance on MSI boards.  Just got an older board from a garage sale.  I believe it's a 6380-010 or k7t266 pro.  Would be a great help if someone can tell me the highest rated cpu that is compatible with this board and what type memory it uses.
    Highly appreciate any help.
    thanks to all.....d;)

  • 2407WFP monitr compatibility with Macbook Pro and saturation

I purchased a Dell 24" 2407WFP monitor to use with my new Macbook Pro for photo editing. Dell of course does not support MACs and has no MAC drivers (at least that's what Dell technical told me). I calibrated the monitor using Spyder2. The overall image is soft and the colors seems overly saturated and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust this. When I run my PC through the same monitor, the colors seem much better and the image is very sharp. Any suggestions? Thanks.

-Will FCS1 work with Intel based macs or will I have to upgrade to FCS2?
As long as it is the Universal Crossgrade...FCP 5.1. The base FCS1 was FCP 5.0. You had to send in your disks and upgrade to FCP 5.1 in order to get a version that worked on Intel macs. If you don't have that, you're gonna need FCS2.
-Does Apple allow FCS1 to be loaded onto both a desktop and a notebook with a single licence?
Yes. Provided you are using only one machine at a time...cannot run both. It allows for you to have it on the desktop for when you are at the office/home office, and on the laptop when you are at home or on the road.

  • ESata Compatibility with Mac Pro

Hi, names Bryan and im a new switcher from PC (Good Heavens) to OS X.
I have a Mac Pro at home and was wondering about the External Hard Drives.
I am about to buy 2x LaCie Big Disk Extremem+ eSata 3.0Gbits
1 for my Media and 1 for Backups.
i also see that LaCie has a PCI-E eSata Card for sale, and i was wondering if Plugging that card on my Mac Pro and Connecting the 2 LaCies would make the Mac Pro recognise them, and letting one to work for Time Machine...

So you mean i should avoid using stuff thats both USB/eSATA interfaced external Hard Disks?? wow thats abit difficult to be honest.
But im Terribly facinated by this..
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Stardom/SR66005SWBS1/
Since it allows ethernet file backup on this baby.
This way i can help my whole House back up everything...
So basically i want it like this on This Baby
    Slot 1 - For Myself
    Slot 2 - For Dad's Comp
    Slot 3 - For Mom
Slot 4 - For My Media
Slot 5 - Back up of Slot 1, 2, 3 to prevent losing files on either slot 1,2 or 3
And i would also like someone to tell me if any eSATA card available for the Mac Pro can support for this babe.
