Compatibility with Qucikbook 2010

Has anyone that upgraded to Mountain Lion had any issues in running Quickbook 2010. I realize that Intuit will tell you to upgrade Quickbook 2012 for it to work, I really do not need any of the new features in that version.
Any info is greatly appreciated.
Michael

I read in intuit forum that the quickbooks 2010 does work with ML, I upgraded to ML and qucibook 2010 works. One issues is that Intuit will not surpport any issues with this version using ML

  • Unity 5.0 compatibility with Exchange 2010 SP2?

Has anyone out there tested Unity 5.0 (1) with Exchange 2010 SP2? Did you have any problems? I understand that Unity 5.x has gone end of maintenance, and it has not been officially been tested for compatibility with Exchange 2010 SP2 for unified messaging. I don't anticipate being able to upgrade Unity until next year, but the sytem admins want to upgrade from Exchange SP1 to SP2 sooner. Thanks.

  • Acrobat 9 compatibility with Office 2010?

Am I correct in understanding that Acrob
at Pro 9.4.5 is not compatible with Office 2010 and that I need to upgrade to AcrobatX to provide the same functionality that existed between Office 2007 and Acrobat 9? I hope this not the case. As a small business, shelling out another $200 for a upgrade after purchasing a product a year ago is not the way to keep clients happy.

Yes, you will need to upgrade. You purchased an upgrade to Office 2010. It requires an upgrade to Acrobat for the same compatibility. However, if you just need plain pdf files, you can print to PDF that doesn't require an upgrade to Acrobat.

  • LabView database connectivity toolkit 1.0.1 compatibility with MS-ACCESS 2010 / Labview report generation toolkit for Office 1.1.3 compatibility with Office 2010

In the very near future we will be forced to upgrade to Office 2010 Company wide and I am a little concerned with some of our older test platforms that have applications built in LabView 8.2.1.  These applications save data to MS-ACCESS 2000 databases using the LabView database connectivity toolkit 1.0.1.  Office 2003 is also loaded on these test platforms with all test reports generated using the LabView report generation toolkit for Office 1.1.3.
I have not gotten my hands on a copy of Office 2010 yet to see if there will be any compatibility issues.  Does anyone have any experience in this area?

The MS-Access part is fairly well isolated through the ADO interface LabVIEW uses. The only possible problems there IMHO are difficulties with possible Acess compatibilities itself such as an example, SQL statement you may have invoked directly through the ADO interface. Maybe you did use a depreciated command back then that has since been removed. As long as the only thing you do are simple INSERT and SELECT statements only, I would expect it to just keep working.
The Report Generation interface is a different beast. Microsoft manages to change the Automation interface with every version of office in a way that strongly binding applications like LabVIEW break on. There is no good way around that except not changing those methods, but that is a cause that has been lost already. You will certainly have to verify the version dependant Report Generation API VIs to still work with Office 2010 and most likely you will have to make some changes to those VIs to make them work again with the modified ActiveX interface of Office 2010. Note, that I have no experience with porting report generation to Office 2010 but I have had some headaches from porting that between Office 97, 2000, 2003, and 2007.

  • Form Created in LiveCycle 8 compatibility with Office 2010

A few years ago I created a form in LiveCycle Designer 8 which allowed my users to submit a pdf from by attaching it to an Outlook email. Some of the users have switched to Office 2010 and the submit button is no longer working. Any ideas for a fix? Thanks!

No you cannot... this is one of the things my organization struggles with.  I love livecycle becuase of its dynamic form capabilities, but we have so many other pre-built pdfs in adobe pro that can not be merged with these forms.  It is truly frustrating!!!  wish i had a better answer for you.  Also from the book 'Creating Dynamic Forms with Adobe LiveCycle Designer' page 6... "The PDF files that Designer creates are structurally different than other PDF files...... LiveCycle Designer can edit a PDF form created in Acrobat, but Acrobat can not edit a PDF form created in Designer."  Likewise... XML pdfs do not merge with other pdfs. JoBeth

MS authored and released an a Browser Matrix for SharePoint 2010 some time ago, you'll be able to find this here
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526(v=office.14).aspx#supportmatrix
With the exception of some Active-X apsects, Chrome should work just fine.
Can you advise what changes you're making to the library?

  • A problem with compatibility with Office 2010 files

I have a problem with opening downloaded files xlsx, docx, etc. by default downloadmanager of Firefox. I have installed Office 2010 (previously had 2007). Firefox extension detects these files as zip archives. (when I was in 2007 there was the problem).
Change the default application for the file (for example, the EXCEL xlsx Office14 directory ...) to change the default application for zip files and other archives (in my case, I installed 7zip 64bit)
Deleting the file mimeTypes.rdf does not help
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64bit.

The Live Http response clearly shows that the server sends this file as a ZIP archive (application/zip)
    * Content-Type: application/zip; charset=binary
In such a case there is not much to do about this apart from contacting the website and ask them to change the content type to one that is more appropriate or maybe better leave out that specific header as there is also a Content-Disposition header and Content-Transfer-Encoding header send.
    *Content-Disposition: inline; filename="Ap20- praca_telefony.xlsx"
    <pre><nowiki>Content-Disposition: inline; filename="Ap20- praca_telefony.xlsx"
    Content-Description: Ap20- praca_telefony.xlsx
    Content-Length: 25907
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary
    Connection: close
    Content-Type: application/zip; charset=binary</nowiki></pre>

  • Lync 2013 Edge server compatibility with Lyn 2010 Front end Pool

    Hi All,
Technet article (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj688121.aspx) says the following:
If your legacy Lync Server 2010 Edge Server is configured to use the same FQDN for the Access Edge service, Web Conferencing Edge service, and the A/V Edge service, the procedures in this section are not supported. If the
legacy Edge services are configured to use the same FQDN, you must first migrate all your users from Lync Server 2010 to Lync Server 2013, then decommission the Lync Server 2010 Edge Server before enabling federation on the Lync Server 2013 Edge Server.
Can you tell me why it is you have to change the External Lync Web services URL during a migration to Lync 2013 from Lync 2010. What purpose does this serve?
Also can you clarify this and explain why this is required, why would you have to migrate all of your users, would a Lync 2013 Edge not talk to a Lync 2010 front-end?
Any help would be much appreciated. MANY THANKS.

Thank you very much for all your inputs.
    We still have few questions:
    Questions:
Can you tell me if Lync 2010 users will be able to login using mobility if we repoint the reverse proxy (TMG) web services publishing rule to the Lync 2013 server? Remember both systems Lync 2010 and 2013 are using the same web
services URL so they will both end up at the Lync 2013 server. Alternatively if not we will migrate all users to 2013, this is not a problem
In addition to this I cannot find anything that states how Exchange UM will operate when you are running from a backup pool and the exchange UM contacts are not available because they are homed on the server that is down. This
configuration is 2 x standard edition servers pool paired. How can we make sure Exchange voice mail works during a pool failover?
Call Park is not clear to me I read the following:
Lync Server 2013 provides new disaster recovery mechanisms in the form of failover and failback processes. These failover and failback processes support recovery of Call Park functionality by allowing
users who are homed in the primary pool to leverage the Call Park application of the backup pool when an outage occurs in the primary pool. Support for disaster recovery of the Call Park application is enabled as part of the configuration and deployment of
    paired Front End pools.
Is this saying we need to deploy Call Park in the DR pool and use a different range of orbit numbers, or can we use the same range in the DR pool?
Further, I can see that Common Area Phones will be fine as they will log into the DR pool automatically. Response Groups need to be exported and imported to the DR pool. Incidentally these did not migrate well at all and have
    caused us a big headache!
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all of your time.

  • Internet Explorer 10 compatibility with Moss 2007.

Hello , We are facing issue with MOSS 2007 and Internet Explorer 10.There are few out of box fields are not working at all with IE 10.
Lookup field – with more that 20 items in it.
    Date and Time
These fields do not work at all.
I know there is workaround of switching to compatibility mode, however looking for some permanent solution
Based on the following article I installed hotfixes of .net framework which didn’t help. Though I noticed same issues I had with IE 11 are resolve .
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/88505e15-d453-4336-995d-12c010c5ad49/internet-explorer-10-compatibility-with-sharepoint-2010-sp-2007-interface
    Thanks in advance.

SharePoint 2007 is fully supported with the following browsers, from Plan browser support (Office SharePoint Server):
Level 1 Web browsers for Office SharePoint Server 2007 with SP2 are as follows:
    Windows Internet Explorer 6.x (32-bit)
    Windows Internet Explorer 7.x (32-bit)
Windows Internet Explorer 8.x (32-bit) (includes running in compatibility mode)
Windows Internet Explorer 9.x (32-bit) (includes running in compatibility mode)
Level 1 Web browsers for Office SharePoint Server 2007 original release and Service Pack 1 (SP1) are as follows:
    Internet Explorer 6.x (32-bit)
    Internet Explorer 7.x (32-bit)
As well, IE 7, 8 , and 9 64-bit, Firefox 3.x and Safari 3.x are supported with limitations. If you don't have SP2 or newer installed you could throw on your nostalgia hat and also use Firefox 1.5, Mozilla 1.7, Netscape Navigator (!) 7.2 and 8.1, or Safari
    2.0 again with limited functionality.
I'm afraid IE 10 isn't on the list so you will need a work around. It sounds like compatibility mode works for you, how about setting up a
Group Policy Object that sets the compatibility settings for your SharePoint URLs in all your users's browsers?

  • OS 7 Compatibility Issues with Sharepoint 2010

I have a number of external users (not on my BES) that need to log on to our company sharepoint site.  Any BB users with os 5 or 6 are prompted correctly with requests for logon info.  Anyone with BB 7 is not prompted and gets an error 401 access denied message.  Does anyone know how to help bb users with os 7 to authenticate to any sharepoint 2010 site?

  • What logic boards are compatable with macbook pro mid 2010

i'm just curious about what logic boards are compatable with my macbook pro mid 2010?  didn't know if i needed to stay within the same year or if there are others that would work with mid 2010 layout inside the casing.  right now i have 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB and really looking to upgrade this if i can find one online from a mac with a broken screen or some defect with the logic board intact.

Rather than the Samsung EVO, I would get a Crucial M500 series - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-960GB-Solid-State-Drive/dp/B00BQ8RGL6/ref=pd_sim _computers_5 - they just seem to 'play well' with Macs where some people have reported problems with Macs and the EVO series.
    Good luck,

  • Excel 2007 .xlsm Application compatable with Windows 8.1

I have finely lost the plot, for weeks I have been trying to load an Excel macro .xlsm file created on a Windows 7, with Office 2007 Professional on to a brand new computer running Windows 8.1 with Office 2007 Enterprise. on opening the file
in Excel I get "compile error in hidden module". I tried everything to repair this without any success all the research pointed to reinstalling Office so bought Office 2013 and installed it. Same thing "compile error" indecently the
very same Excel .xlsm file runs perfectly on another machine running Windows XP and Office 2010. Further more another application which uses Excel for invoices and reports could not even find Excel.  Researching the internet I find that Office
2013 has compatibility problems with Windows 8.1 Well done Microsoft!
I called the Microsoft help line to find if there is a fix and ended up somewhere in India speaking to someone in a language worse than pigeon English 20 minutes later and diverted twice I explained the problem and was asked for my contract number...
Duh! I said what about the warranty and was told sorry can't help you. Well done Microsoft!
Uninstalled Office 2013 and replaced it with Office 2010 home and student. deleted all the .exd files from the disastrous Dec Microsoft update, Well done Microsoft! reregistered the MSCOMCTL.OCX and FM20.DLL planted the.xlsm file in a trusted
location checked all the Macro and ActiveX settings and tried to load the file. The file  loads but  I now get  "Runtime Error 32809" it cant recognise 3 pages out of the has 19 pages it has. At any reference to one
of these 3 pages and it crashes.
I have been through "Compile Error" "Object does not exist on this machine" "Can't exit design mode" "Hidden file in Module" "Cant create ButtonX" "Unexpected Error 32809" and finally I am almost
there but "Runtime Error 32809" have tried 3 versions of Office and now totally frustrated and have no more hair left to pull out. Well done Microsoft you are too busy writing new operating systems to dump on us every two years which no
doubt will also not be compatible even with itself please fix the issues we are currently burdened with and I would like a refund for the Office 2013 which is not compatible with your flagship Windows8.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Error installing BI Publisher Desktop in Windows 7 64bits with Office 2010

    Hello
I'm having a problem when trying to install the latest version of BI Publisher Desktop on my computer (Windows 7-64bits with Office 2010).
Almost at the end of the installation it appears a message box saying "Template Builder installer failed: Cannot run installer while Mocrosoft Word is running". Now, i made sure all Office apps are closed, as well as IE windows. What i've noticed is that right before this error appears, a process for WINWORD.exe is open - by the installer.
    How can i fix this?
    Many thanks for your replies

I've tried runnig the installer with Windows XP SP3 compatibility and it worked.

  • Is iCloud compatable with windows 8

I have found a lot of information that indicates that Windows7 is compatable with iCloud but I can't find out if iCloud likes Windows8. I just want to clarify this before I upgrade my operating system. Anyone know the answer?

2003 is not supported, you will need 2007 or 2010, so you will be upgrading Office as well.

  • Unable to print multiple copies of documents on Win7 machine with Office 2010

Since upgrading to Windows 7, I have been unable to print multiple copies of documents in any MS Office 2007, 2010, Word Pad or Adobe Reader 9.  I also experience the same problem if I print from Word Pad.  The issue appears to be associated with the Collate Option in the Print Dialog box.  If the Collate box is checked, I only get one copy of the document.  If I uncheck the Collate box I get as many copies as I choose.   The problem is that with the Collate box unchecked, I have to collate multiple copies by hand, and with 10 – 20 copies of multi-page documents that can be quite a chore.
The ironic thing is that MS Visio 2003, on the same machine, prints and collates as many copies as I choose, with the Collate box checked.
I can print multiple copies of Word 2003 documents from my wife’s Win XP machine to the same printer, but not from my Win 7 machine with Office 2010.
My printer is an HP LaserJet 1320nw and I have downloaded and installed the latest printer drivers from the HP Web site.
Has anyone experienced this problem, and if so, are you aware of a solution other than unchecking the Collate box?

I have the same issues with my LJ1320. I have Office 2010 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.   However, my printing problem is more widespread since I have been unsuccessful at printing multiple copies of all types of documents, not just from  Office 2010.  For example, I have the same problem trying to print multiple copies from  Internet Explorer.
I also have other problems printing  from Office 2010 that you may not have discovered yet.  I cannot print Excel spreadsheet grid lines from Office 2010 if those documents were originally created in an earlier version of Office.  I tried saving them as Office 2010 documents and also using compatibility mode but nothing worked.  These same documents print fine on the same printer from my laptop which uses Windows Vista and Office 2007.  Also Excel spreadsheets originated in Office 2010 print nicely.
Looks like HP has a few bugs in their printer drivers.
I note that HP released a new Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL5x64 on Feb 18, 2011 (Version 5.2.6).  Have you tried it yet?
