Compile a new created jsp

hi all,
i developed a par package and deployed it in EP successfully. in this project, i need to create a new jsp file under the path 'PROJECT_NAME\dist\PORTAL-INF\pagelet' when the program has already running, and i have done this.
now, the problem is, this new jsp file seems can't be complied automatic. and how can i do? thanks.
kevin

Hi,
If you have one component and using more than one jsp file means you have to set state(use switch case) in component(java file). You can do it doProcessBeforeOutput() in jave file.
switch (state)
case 1:this.setJspName("jsp name")
break
default :this.setJspName("jsp name")

  • Pls help!  Creating a new simple jsp iView...

    Hi, I would like to create a totally new iView JSP project from scratch.  I currently have NetWeaver and EP 6.0.  This is what I have done so far on NetWeaver: <b>File > New > Project > Select Portal Application > click 'Next' > Type in Project name and root folder > click 'FINISH'</b>.  Now, I think I have a project ready?  I have some basic iView JSP code already.   so now can someone provide me with detailed steps on what modifications and steps I need to make on my new project in order for my iView jsp to display on the EP 6.0?  Any files like 'portalapp.xml' that I have to modify?
    Thank you so much for your help,
    Baggett.
    What I know so far: I have looked at an example where I created one using an existing par.  I know how to export .par file to EP 6.0, it's the steps before that I don't know.  Thanks again.

    Hi, I think I found a little solution to my problem but now I have a new issue.  I think I "solved" my problem by doing:  <b>File > New > Project > Select Portal Application > click 'Next' > Type in Project name and root folder > click 'FINISH'.  Now, I do:
    File > New > Other > Portal Application > Create a new Portal Application Object > Select my Project > Portal Component/JSPDynPage (is this the 'easy' one to pick b/c it seems to update the portalapp.xml file, creates a jsp file (myFirstJSP.jsp) and bean for me) > I type in all the textfields for file name, package name, ... > click 'FINISH'. </b>
    Is this a correct/good way of starting a JSP project(I don't really know what a JSPDynPage is)
    Now I have a new issue.  I open up myFirstJSP.jsp and NetWeaver highlights all the code (pasted below) in yellow and there is no error displayed:
    <b><hbj:content id="myContext" >
      <hbj:page title="PageTitle">
       <hbj:form id="myFormId" >
       </hbj:form>
      </hbj:page>
    </hbj:content></b>
    So I try to paste this line into myFirstJSP.jsp: <b><%@ taglib uri="tagLib" prefix="hbj" %></b>and also paste this line onto portalapp.xml:
    <b><component-profile>
            <property name="tagLib" value="/SERVICE/htmlb/taglib/htmlb.tld"/>
    </component-profile>    </b>
    Now, I get an error saying: <b>"JSP Parsing Error:File "/dist/PORTAL_INF/pagelet/tagLib" not found"</b>
    Why is this?  How can I fix it?
    Thanks so much,
    Baggett.

  • New to jsp, login page errors

    Hi
    I'm totally new to using jsp and as part of a project I need to create a login page which compares the
    entered email and password with those contained in a database.
    I've created the java code and jsp pages, there's no obvious errors (to me anyway) but everytime I try to run it I get the same error.
    The code for the login page is:

    help?

    login.java:56 is:
    connection.close();right? So, it looks like the call to getJdbcConnectionPool within authenticate throws an exception and control is passed to the finally block where connection is still null, resulting in the NPE. You should probably catch any exceptions thrown by the lookup for your datasource so you can see what the "real' error is.

  • ORA-24344: success with compilation error While creating workspace

    Hi,
    We had an instance with db 9.2.0.5 and HTML DB 1.56.
    First we upgraded database to to 10.1.0.4.Then we upgraded HTML DB to 1.6.1(Upgraded html db 1.5 to 1.6, Then applied patch 1.6.1 patch - 4173133)
    Logged to the HTML DB as an administrator for creating application developer's workspace. I have got the error "ORA-24344: success with compilation error" while creating the workspace.
    We are able to create the workspace successfully on HTML DB 1.5.
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks, Venkanna

    Venkanna - Do you think the workspace creation was at least partly successful? I mean, can you login to it, can you see anything about it in the admin app, etc.? It would be useful to get a list of invalid objects in the new workspace's schema. If there are none, then get a list of invalid objects in FLOWS_010600.

  • Create JSP Wizard Bug

    JDeveloper 11g does not provide a Create JSP wizard, with a provision to add tag libraries to a JSP page, as JDeveloper 10g does. If tag libraries
    are required, the tag libraries have to be added after creating the jsp page and also the tag library JAR files have to be copied to the WEB-INF/lib directory.

    A project containing JSPs and servlets is a web project. But, the create application wizard does not have the provision to add tag libraries.
    Create application with File>New. Categories>Applications and Items>Generic Application. Specify Application Name in Create Generic Application and Next.
    In Name your Generic project select JSP and Servlets Project technologies. But, tag libraries are not provided.
    Even if the Web Project template is selected, the project does not include the tag library JAR files in the WEB-INF/lib directory. Also if a JSP is added to a Web Project,
    the JSP does not contain the tag library directives.
    The following features are requested to be added:
    1. When a project is created with the Web Project template the WEB-INF/lib directory should contain the tag library JAR files, which are required to run the web application in a server other than the integrated WebLogic server.
    2. When a JSP is added to a Web Project template project the JSP should contain the tag library directives for the tag libraries in the Web Project. Even if the Add Jsp Page option is selected while creating the Web Project, the tag library directives are not added to the JSP page.
    3. The tag libraries should also be available for other project technologies such as JSP and Servlets and JSP for Business Components that may include tag libraries.

  • WebLogic 6.0 - Dynamically created JSPs are not recognized

              I have a web application that creates JSP files dynamically per a user's request.
              In WebLogic 6.1, the application server recognizes these files no problem. However
              in WebLogic 6.0, I get a 404 File Not Found error when I try to load these pages
              in the browser. The files are definitely there, but WebLogic is not picking them

              Actual this problem goes for all new files: *.html, *.gif, *.jpg, etc... WebLogic
              6.0 does not pick up any new files until a restart occurs. Any ideas on how to
              configure this? Thanks.

  • Create jsp iview

    Hi guys
    we are working on EP 6.0.
    We want to create iviews which is simply a jsp page, the jsp file is ready, but we are not able to make a usable par from it.
    Could any one teach how can we make it a par file to upload to Portal, then we can create iview out of it?
    Thanks a lot with reward points

    Hi Feng.
    I guess you dont want JSPDynpage, but normal JSP. Here is the way for it
    1. Create Java component in src core, and write following code in it, Abstract Portal Component.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    public class <CLASS_NAME>extends AbstractPortalComponent
        public void doContent(IPortalComponentRequest request,   IPortalComponentResponse response)
              IResource jspResource = request.getResource(IResource.JSP, "jsp/<YOUR_JSP_NAME>.jsp");                                             response.include(request, jspResource);
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    2. Now create a JSP file in JSP folder with name used in Java file source.
    3. Write your HTML or JSP code in this file.
    4. Compile and Upload, create iView from that. Now You can use JSP in your code.

  • How to get the New created Hier for existing IO and IS in the Infopackage

    hello Gurus,
    I have created a new Custom hierarchy on an existing InfoObject 0Costcenter. There are many Hierarchies already existing and being fed from R3. This new hierarchy is just a regrouping of costcenters.
    Now I have created this new Hier and activated it, When I tried to create a Infopackage to load this new Hier, I am not finding the new created Hierarchy in the Hierarchy Selection tab of Infopakage.What should I do to see this new HIer.
    Thanks
    Simmi

    so, the costcenter hierarchy created by the user is not a std costcenter hierarchy, so it should be a set hierarchy. go to tcode BW07 in r/3, give the name of the table and field, if you like the name of the datasource too orelse the system woudl generate it. But the costcenter hierarchy is compounded to controlling area, you would need to write a user exit to populate the compounding object too in the datasource, orelse all the costcenters would be unassigned to controlling area. once created, you can check the same in rsa6. once you see it there, replicate the DS to BI, and after that the data flow is same. create a new infopack to load the set hierarchy, as you wont be able to see this hierarchy in the std costcenter hierarchies.
    check a few other threads:
    Tcodes BW10/BW07 - how to use these
    compounding for hierarchies:

    1. I created a view object with 2 entity objects (parent table: YARD_FIXED_SLOT - child table: YARD_FIXED_SLOT_DETAIL) and the primary key of child table composes of 2 columns ( one of them is FK: YardFixedSlotDetail.FIXED_SLOT_ID REFERENCES YARD_FIXED_SLOT(FIXED_SLOT_ID)

            YardFixedSlotDetailFindAllByBlockRowImpl newRow = (YardFixedSlotDetailFindAllByBlockRowImpl)dciter.getNavigatableRowIterator().createRow();
            newRow.setFixedSlotId(new Integer(21));
            newRow.setUserId("adftest");
            newRow.setModifiedDt(new Timestamp(System.currentTimeMillis()));
            //bug exist here
            newRow.setSlotFromN(new Integer(1));
            //newRow.setSlotToN(new Integer(1));
            newRow.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);
            int lastRowIndex = dciter.getNavigatableRowIterator().getRangeIndexOf(lastRow);
            dciter.getNavigatableRowIterator().insertRowAtRangeIndex( lastRowIndex+1, newRow);
            // make the new row the current row of the table
            dciter.setCurrentRowIndexInRange(lastRowIndex);
            dciter.setCurrentRowWithKey(newRow.getKey().toStringFormat(true));
            //table should have its displayRow attribute set to //"selected"
           // AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(slotDetailsTable);

    4. I think problem maybe is related with row key, but I need end user to change rowkey column value. does it allow changing the value of column as row key? I found this problem maybe only occur for new created row. For those existing rows, even I change the value of row key column, no such problem occurred, how do I handle this situation?
    Appriciate if anybody can help.

    Hi Bangaram,
    Thank you for your reply.
    The error: "Root cause error code is JBO-34014. Error message parameters are {0=oracle.jbo.Key[21 null ], 1=root} "
    I didn't create master records, I just used joint queries for information display of both master and detail. I am trying to create a row in the UI table to create a new detail record and master record already exists.
    The row key for new added row in UI rich table is [21 null ], row key of detail records table composes of 2 columns. 21 is for FixedSlotId and null is for SlotFromN. when I provide a new value for SlotFromN column in UI rich table, problem will occur.

  • CUP 5.3: Mitigating from Request and approval of new created control

    Hi,
    I have activated in RAR that new created controls need to be approved and this works fine when creating the control in RAR.
    when creating the mitigating control from CUP within the request with the "Mitigate"-button the control is created directly in RAR without starting the approval workflow the new controls.
    Is this a bug or do I need to configured somewhere that the workflow should be also triggered when a control is created via CUP?
    Best regards
    Marco

    Hi Marco,
       I know this is an important functionality but it is not available in CUP as of now. Some of my customers are looking for this. You should open an enhancement request for this. I have also encouraged my clients to open an enhancement request for this. I am hoping SAP fixes this ASAP.

  • New created condition types from CRM to R3

    I have do initial download with DNL_CUST_CNDALL. The condition customizing(pricing procedure, condition type, condition table...) have been downloaded from R3 to CRM.
    In transaction R3AC4(Delta download) two entries for CONDCUSTOMIZING and CONDITIONS exist for delta download of condition customizing and record from R3 to CRM.
    But when I created a newe condition type in R3, it is not automatically transfered to CRM. I also tried use transaction R3AR4 (request) to synchronize object DNL_CUST_CNDALL. But the new created condition type is still not availabe in CRM.
    Could anyone give some help?

    When you attempt to startup the cloned database on the new server you will find that it needs recovery -- because it was taken in hot backup mode.
    That is why you need to copy the archivelogs that are generated from the first archivelog after the first "alter tablespace begin backup" to the first archivelog after the last "alter tablespace end backup".
    I see that you are also including a CREATE CONTROLFILE script.
    You would run that at the cloned environment.
    Then you would issue the RECOVER DATABASE USING BACKUP CONTROLFILE UNTIL CANCEL command to make the clone consistent.
    You can, of course, use the same method to copy these archivelogs as you use to copy database files -- tar, cpio, tape, etc.
