Compile Error on For All Of Rule

Here is the rule:
The Family Unit is valid if
For All of the Application’s Family Members, the Family Member’s Country of Citizenship = “US”.
the Application is a singleton entity. the Family Member is a non-singleton entity. A relationship exists between the two from Application to Family Member (1:M) of the Application's Family Members.
the Family Member’s Country of Citizenship is defined as a variable thrugh the document.
When compiling, the error message states it is expecting a relationship belonging to entity: global
I thought that creating a singleton entity makes it equivalent to the global.
Thanks,
Terry

I would second Jasmine's recommendation and add that everything you want to do can be achieved by ensuring the relationships with the correct cardinality ie 1:1.
However, its important to add that whenever you see a 1:1 relationship, you have to ask yourself if you wouldn't be better off with a single entity instead of two. There are of course valid reasons for having separate entities, such as matching customer data, but you should always consider simplifying the model.
1:1 relationships can be simply traversed using the For or ForScope operator (see my other answers to your queries).
You can use the for operator to lift attributes across a to 1 relationship (often very useful)
eg:
The application’s end date = For(the application’s promotion, the promotion’s end date)You can use the for operator to compare attributes across a to 1 relationship
eg:
The application's processing fee is valid if
For(the application’s promotion, The application’s processing fee > The promotion’s processing fee)You can use the scoped for operator to do more complex operations
The application's processing fee is valid if
  For(the application’s promotion)
The application’s processing fee > The promotion’s processing fee; and
    The promotion's code = the application's codeEdited by: frank.hampshire on Oct 15, 2010 9:52 AM

i don't want to leave a long list in the web.xml file.could any one help me?
    thanks

If u have a common Error JSP named as ErrorPage.jsp
You need to have the following piece of code in the JSP as :
    <%@ page isErrorPage ="true"%>
This makes it as the Common Error Page for the Application. Now all you need to do is from other JSP's throw the Exception to teh container. The container will redirect to this Page and process accordingly.

  • How to show a single error message for all fields

    Hi
    I have a JSF from containing around 10 controls(input, select etc.) .
Now I need to display an error message in case any of the mandatory control has validation error.
    Message format would be like
"*Please,Complete the fields marked with yellow!"* The message I need to show in a div tag with Yelow background.
Currently, I am getting individual default error message in case validation fails and related field is bordered with Yellow.
    My code is below.
    *<h:panelGrid columns="3">*
    *<h:outputText value="#{msgProv.bi_firstname}" />*
    *<h:outputText>*
    *<rich:spacer width="100px"></rich:spacer>*
    *</h:outputText>*
    *<h:panelGroup>*
    *<h:inputText*
    *value="#{brokerInformationFields.firstName}"*
    *label="#{msgProv.bi_firstname}" id="firstName" required="true">*
    *<f:validateLength maximum="10" minimum="2" />*
    *<rich:ajaxValidator event="onblur" />*
    *</h:inputText>*

    *<h:panelGroup>*
    *<h:inputText label="#{msgProv.bi_lastname}" id="lastName"*
    *value="#{brokerInformationFields.lastName}" required="true">*
    *<f:validateLength maximum="20" minimum="1"/>*
    *<rich:ajaxValidator event="onblur" />*

    And a Phase Listener from
    http://balusc.blogspot.com/2007/12/set-focus-in-jsf.html
This Phase listener is to border the control with Yellow in case validation fail.
    Now my Query
*1) How can I show a single message for all fields as I marked above in case of validation failure?*
*2) Now, the control is becoming yellow borderd when user clicks the submit button and validation fails.*
*User can move from one control to other using tab. That time proper validation message is appearing.*
*but the border of the control is not changing to yellow.*
*What's the correcion can be made to meet that requirement too.*

    Hi Nabheet,
    Thanks for your response.
The FM returns the error messages if they are standard ones. For example, if the posting period is closed - the FM will not allow the Workflow to proceed further.
But in this case, I have a custom error - for a particular Profit center, Cost center and I/O fields are mandatory(not at time of parking, but should be filled before posting).
Since this is not a standard error, this FM will not stop workflow from proceeding further. How can I have the custom error captured in this FM?
    Thanks.

    Hello
I'm trying to compile the elmer fem from svn via a selfmade PKBUILD.
    I've got an error message:
"checking whether we are using the Microsoft C compiler... no
checking for mtc_init in -lmatc... no
    configure: error: libmatc
==> FEHLER: Ein Fehler geschah in build().

Is here a dependency missing? Does anyone know which?
    Thanks.

I'm having the same problem, albeit 18 months later. I am working with a tutorial from apress, which seems very high on Glassfish as a AppServer environment for learning EJB 3.0. I have the same error when I try to run the client application in the Sun Platform 9.0 Application Server's AppClient Module container , "... Error checking for persistence unit annotations in the main class..." and I think it has something to do with the fact that the AppClient is expecting "something" in the MANIFEST.MF file that actually isn't there... ( sigh ). " so close, and yet so far away.... "

  • When updating add-ons I frequently get Download error -228 for all updates. Trying again later, they all update successfully.

When Firefox starts up it checks for add-on updates. Frequently I get "Firefox could not install the file at http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/addons/10868/forefox_sync-1.6.3-sm+fb+fx.xpi because Download error -228"
This one is for Firefox Sync; I get equivalent for any others for which updates were found.
I find all updates will apply, or none. It's never some do and some don't.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately this doesn't help because without changing any setting the update will eventually install be it a day or three later.
If updates were disabled, then they would remain disabled and no updates would ever install (& I'd expect a more relevant worded message), which is not the case.
I would expect Firefox to find updates to extensions only if they were compatible, or again tell me "not compatible" rather than a nondescript "download error" message.
I have Firefox auto-updating so am on the latest release (not beta) most of the time .. until it tells me to download the latest.

  • How to call common error pages for all the exceptions

    Hi All
I have created the common ErrorPage in my application. In case of any error whether SQL,IO or JBO I want that error page be displayed. In the page definition I have given the errorpage name and also defined the error page as IS_ERROR_PAGE = true. But it is throwing Jbo exception at the top of the page itself. No redirection to the error page is done.
Though I have gone through various threads in this forum but still its not clear how to get the things working.
Can anyone please help me out in this regard?

    Hi,
I assume you mean that you set the error page in the web.xml file. Note that exceptions are handled first by the JSF framework. Please have a look at the developer guide

  • How to programmatically set an error message for a validation rule of an EO

    Hello,
Is there a way to programmatically set an error message when validating any data on an EO?
It seems the API of the EO interface does not have any method to be defined for my needs..
    thanks

The other option is that for the error message you can define a groovy expression to call an EO method.
I documented this on my blog

Are these all the same OS, browser, and Acrobat version (including the updates)? It might help to tell use what versions of each you are using. Can you save the file and open it in Acrobat? Do you have both Acrobat and Reader installed?

  • 11g: Custom error handling for all application raised exceptions?

    Hi,
the only thing I can find in the documentation regarding an error handler is this: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/web_adv.htm#BABEHFHI (26.8)
However, this kind of error handler seems to ignore exceptions thrown in backing beans and underlaying business logic inplemented in app modules.
Is there a way to globaly handle those exceptions and show an error message if an exception is throw or is the only way a catch block in each backing bean method?
    Thanks

So, If I understand correctly, the only option is to redirect to exception handler view and show eror informatin there.
If, however, we want to present errors in popup messages, we have to handle exceptions in all backing bean's methods, e.g.:
    catch (Exception ex){
    handleError(ex);
    public void handleError(Exception ex){
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    FacesMessage message=
    new FacesMessage(
    FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR,
    "Error",
    ex.getMessage());
    fctx.addMessage(null,message);
    Is that correct?
    Thanks

    Firefox version 3.6.10

I followed to the link to the article:

And went to "error -228" and followed this instruction>
"On Linux, this error can be caused by IPv6. To disable IPv6, go to about:config and find the preference network.dns.disableIPv6, then right-click on it and toggle it to true. This change will require a restart of Firefox. "
This fixed the problem and I can download plugins and extensions without difficulty.

looking over the compiler error, it seems to me tomcat is able to recongize /usr/local/j2sdk1.4 's location. which i assume it implied JAVA_HOME and CLASSPATH are setup correctly.
Dunno why it just won't display jsp pages and kept saying compiler error...
    thank you for helping
