Compiling custom kenel with ABS problems

I am tring to install 2.6.32-rc6 kernel using. ABS. I have this in my PKGBUILD
#pkgname=kernel26 # Build stock -ARCH kernel
pkgname=kernel26-32rc6 # Build kernel with a different name
_kernelname=${pkgname#kernel26}
_basekernel=2.6.32-rc6
But makepkg is complaining that hyphens are not allowed in _basekernel. With out that I cannot download the 32-rc6 kernel.
Please help.

If you'r using initramfs to boot, you should edit kernel26.install too.

About compiling a kernel with ABS

So I was following the guide on the wiki about compiling a new kernel with ABS. I wanted to try and make a kernel that didn't need to use initramfs. I thought I could do it by not enabling the kernel to have the ability to use initramfs, and I think I also added the right modules to be built into it not have them be modules ( any idea if I can make sure I chose the correct drivers). After I was done I needed to install in using pacman -U. It told me it conflicted with kernel26 or something, and it asked if I wanted to replace it. Do I want to replace the current with the new? Or can I have them side by side? I know I can have multiple kernels, so it confused me a little.

Still new with all this, but I'm pretty sure you don't want to replace your current kernel, or you could mess your system up should your newly compiled kernel not work.
When you created your PKGBUILD did you by any chance forget to change its name? You should have something like "pkgname=linux-custom" (there's more to change, check the wiki for the full list) instead, so that your new kernel will be called "linux-custom" (or whatever you call it), and it can be installed alongside the (Arch) official "linux"
After that, you can put both in your bootloader, and boot the one you want. But yeah I think you definitely want to keep the official kernel alongside yours, just in case.

Error while compiling CUSTOM.PLL with frmcmp_batch

We have a strange issue here. One of the users is unable to compile custom.pll . He is getting the issue

This is the below file permission for the custom.pll

This is the one with custom developments in it.
This is user id

But when I as a applmgr user is able to compile the CUSTOM.pll successfully.

The user has execute permission.( because his user id belongs to group oaa which has execute permission)
Full 777 permission on the directory where this CUSTOM.pll exists.
The confusing part is, if the file would have been corrupted, it would not have been compiled successfully under applmgr user. So the doc id 1082077.1 as of now doesn't help a lot.

Compiling custom controls with ant

Need help figuring out which ant task I need to compile custom controls (.jcs files).
I’ve read several posts about using wlwBuild and workshop.core.Compile but these
tools don’t satisfy my needs when it comes to automating and integrating anthill,
cvs, junit… I’m also not so keen on the idea of keeping a .work file synced between
all developer’s IDEs and the staging/production build machines. I’d really like
to have a nice clean ide independent ant script build my project. It seems BEA
somewhat anticipated this when they created genxmlbean to compile XMLBeans and
JwsCompile for web services, but I have not found a similar ant task that I can
use to compile projects with custom controls (.jcs files) created in workshop.
Alternatively if there’s a way in workshop to compile and package an application
to a production worthy ear that does not include all the extra .workshop ejbs
used for debugging, that would get me by for now. Any advice would be appreciated.

build script uses wlwBuild and the .work file to create the ear, which I'm trying
to avoid.

Compiling Flex Apps With ANT Problem

Hi guys,
I thought i'd have a go at using ANT to compile my applications into a single war file that I could then use to deploy. So far so good, until I got to the last bit. Within the root of my application i have the actionscript source file and underneath that I have an assets folder where all my images and css files live. E.g. app_root/asrc/assets/stylesheets/default.css. Now the ant task i've used to succesfully compile everything else looks like this;

However when i run it i get the following error;
Error: Problem finding external stylesheet: assets/stylesheets/default.css
Its there, its definately there and whats more Flex builder doesn't have a problem with it. So why does running the compiler as an ANT task cause this issue? Am I missing something?

I think your problem is that you are missing another source-path tag. Assuming your assets directory is immediately beneath directory asrc, you'll want to add the following line to your build.xml file:
<source-path path-element="${asrc}"/>

[SOLVED] Compiling kernel PKGBUILD from ABS (2.6.34)

So I'm currently compiling a kernel from ABS, and its been running som docbook stuff for 2-3 hours now which I've never seen before when compiling a kernel with ABS.
I commented out the line that allowed me to edit the config with make menuconfig. I tweaked the kernel to 1000hz and set up my cpu family.
Is this normal? Im pretty sure this didnt happen when I compiled 2.6.33.4 from ABS

Custom kernel compilation with abs..

Been trying out custom kernel compilation with abs, since i only know the regular make menuconfig style, thought that this would be a good thing to learn.
here is my kernel pkgbuild (showing only the part that i changed):

I want to install the 2.6.18-rc6-mm2, so i downloaded that patch and put it in the same folder as PKGBUILD.
I copied kernel26.install and put it in the same folder as the PKGBUILD.
when running makepkg it asks for a config file.. So i copied the config file in /var/abs/kernels/kernel26/. But this will build with an old config file.. how can i as when doing the manual way, do a make menuconfig and enter the settings i want for this kernel??

I'd say it does too, and I think the problem is here:

Did you just copy the install script, or did you edit it to create an image with a unique name? The script is hardcoded to create an image called kernel26.img i.e. the image name required by the stock kernel, so if you ran it as it is, you have overwritten the images for your stock kernel with images for your new kernel.
You might still be able to boot your new kernel with kernel26-fallback.img, but if not you will have to boot your stock kernel using the initrd image, which will have been unaffected.
Once your system is running again, you need to regenerate the kernel26 images using mkinitcpio, and then you can start debugging the problem with your new kernel.
Of course, if you've already edited kernel26.install for your new kernel, ignore the above, and I'll start again.

Have downloaded for example: Queen – Bohemium Rhapsody from a compilation album as well as a few complete Queen Album CDs into the iTunes library and then put them into playlists,
When I go onto my phone and select Queen on the MUSIC app using Songs tab at the bottom of the screen it will display all Queen songs and their resective Alum pics, that is all those not in a complilation album, .
If I know the song title I can select the songs tab and find the song that way,
I’ve tried fiddling with the settings in the iTunes app by going to ‘get info’ tab and trying to sort the problem out that way but am not having much luck.What I want the phone to do is show, for example all Queens songs including those in compilation albums. Can this be done, would be grateful for any ideas on how it can be done, that is if ic can be done, any ideas

Custom Report with Problems and incidents

I'm trying to create a custom report of all problems and related incidents. I can query the problemDimvw table, but I need some assistance linking to the incidents. Anyone have a query or point me in a direction to join the necessary tables?
What I'm trying to get is Problem ID, Title, Description, and Incident IDs linked to it. Thanks.

I am having problems deploying a jsp tag in web as. The same war file works fine on websphere, jboss. SAP web as seems to be complaining about the short name in the tld.
Can any body me to any known web as issues with jsp tags?

Problem to compile sample code with C++ Parser on Unix

I just downloaded C++ parser and tried to compile the sample source code, but I got

I have the similar problem when I tried to compile sample code with C++ parser on WinNT4. I am using Micrsoft Visual Studio V6.0. I added the include file and lib file in the path.

Facing problem in integrating my custom jsp with the workflow engine

Hi,
I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 for BPM 11g implementation on my Application.I have Weblogic Server 10.3 Installed and configured the domain. Also the server is up and running.
I am trying to create workflow and wants to integrate it with my custom jsp but i am facing problem in integrating my custom jsp with the workflow engine.Can you please answer the following questions:
1)how to link BPM human task with my custom jsp (Requester jsp).
2)how my custom jsp data(Requester data) will be stored in workflow engine and how the same data will be visible to the next custom jsp(Reviewer jsp).
This is urgent .Any early reply will be great help.

you forgot to add the usage dependency in the DC metadata section in your DC, you have to add the XSS~utils and fpm as a used DC's as part of your DC, try to add those, if you already done that, so check where missed the adding of used webdynpro components in any of the VAC's or FC's,

Problem to compile new configuration with imsimta

After I patched 116568-53, iit was impossible to compile new configuration with "imsimta chbuild". The response is:
13:57:09.20: Internal error in cl_init -- cannot open command definition file IMTA_BIN:pmdf.cld
Any one know how to solve this problem?

I checked the file as you suggested and i didn't find any tcp_lmtpss-daemon channel so i inserted the following lines:

We have the correct CVV2, Expiration Date and Billing address, but you keeps declining us. Please fix this problem for me. The issuing bank for this card is Techcombank, one of the largest banks in Vietnam. According to the bank, the transaction is processed in the US. This is a legitimate Visa card.
Please let me know as soon as possible. Apple does a disservice to its brand name by declining legitimate Visa account holders from using the cards in Vietnam.
