Compiling, etc. Where's the output window?

Is it normal for Java IDE's to just compile and have no output show up? In C++, I was able to compile a simple program, build it, to which it would show up in command prompt. I'm currently using Blue J as my IDE.
I made this:

}Clicked "Compile" to see the message "Class compiled - no syntax error."
Are there any extra steps for me to be able to see what has been compiled?
Also, what's the difference between objects and object variables?

Is goes to the console. But a write of a byte isn't the way to see it.
Try something that will show up easier like
System.out.println("Hello World");What OS are you using? Are you using a command window? Or a GUI like Netbeans?

Can't see the output window in Ultiboard 2001 SP2

I have been running Ultiboard 2001 for many years, as it is adequate for my needs. I recently had a HD crash on my old laptop, and had to re-install the UB 2001 software on my new laptop (Dell E-series, Windows XP, SP3). All is basically OK, except that I cannot get the Output window to disply, so I am unable to see any DRC checking info, connectivity errors, etc. The Output window is checked in the View menu, but checking or unchecking makes no difference. I have Ultiboard 2001, SP2. All other windows & toolbars seem to display correctly.

It is possible that the Output window was dragged outside of the Ultiboard screen. Have a look at the attached screen shot, notice a small Output window outside, if you see something like it, drag it back inside.

Although the documentation says you can copy Time Machine backups in the Finder, it's very slow and sometimes doesn't work at all.
Launch Disk Utility, open the built-in help, and search for the term "Duplicate." Follow the instructions. All existing data on the destination volume will be erased. That shouldn't be a problem, because you don't want to mix backup and non-backup data on the same drive anyway. Turn Time Machine OFF in its preference pane while copying the volume.

Making the font in the output window bigger

You know when you run a console application and you're looking at the output in the output window at the bottom, the typeface is a little small. Is there a way to change that to a bigger font?

I don't think there is a way to make just the font in the log window bigger - but you can increase the size of the font used in JDeveloper by editing the ide.properties file.

This is my first Apple product and it amazing good apart from the "PC Compatible" BS under the product listing.
Where is the native Windows XP USB and display support for this $2,000 display? And no, I'm not satified with a SourceForge.net project with one developer working on WinACD (all credit to his efforts, I'm a software developer too!)
Tell me the last time you bought a piece of hardware that didn't come with driver support? Is this the first and last Apple product I buy?

I hear what you are saying but frankly that doesn't cut it - I'm an embedded sw engineer and if you are saying that a company like Apple can't take the time to create a Windows display INF file, like they did in 1997, then something is clearly not right.

Weblogic 11g, e.printStackStrace() - where does the output goes

I have deployed my j2ee ear in weblogic 11g server. But i am not able to find in any of the logs the output of e.printStackTrace().
Pls let me know in weblogic 11g where does the output of e.printStackTrace() goes... ? I mean to which log file does it goes.
I checked the my AdminServer.log and also mydomain.log file, but could not see any exception in this.

There is a data model document which lists all the tables, I've attached a copy to this response for future reference.
The job output is stored in the JobOutput table and the jobrun_output field has the actual output.

Xcode 3 - Where's the Log window?

In Xcode 2 NSLog()Used to print text to a log panel. Now it doesn't. Where is the log window? I can't find it and a search of the help files doesn't produce any results. Also I can't find any menu item that would help. Generally I'm very confused by the big changes in the Xcode and Interface Builder GUIs. Most of the programming examples in my books are now FUBAR. Also the bookmarks in my browser to the Cocoa documentation are now invalid. What a bummer.

Well, it's an all-new application, it can be disturbing indeed.
However, your log window still exists, and its name never changed, it's called Console.
So, look into the preferences --> Debugging, look at the "On start" local menu, select "Show console", when you'll build and go your App the console window will appear and display your logs.

That worked really well (Resolution and Halftone screen Lpi, Angle and Dot shape).
My only issue now is when art is created in Illustrator CS6. I can't get those results for gradients.
I guess I would need to bring those files one color at a time back into photoshop.
Keep me posted if you have any other thoughts.
