Compiling OSMF 1.6 in Maven for 10.1 or 10.0
Hi every one,
i have some problems to find the correct setup for my maven project to compile against the OSMF 1.6
library. The client should be able to request the player with 10.1 / 10.0.
I checked out the OSMF 1.6 release version.
Previously i had a working setup for 1.5. I have to switch to 1.6 because i need the
abilitiy to modify the timout and elay settings of a NetConnection.
I played around a bit and got different errors,
like StageVideoEvent not found or incomptible version errors
What are the correct compiler settings?

Configuring Maven for a new Project
Could anyone provide inputs on how to configure Maven for a new project?

Rgds,
seeteshWe are introducing a new feature in Flex 2.0.1 that's due out
early next year. The feature is called "Modules" and it was
discussed at this year's MAX 2006. You can read more about it on
Roger Gonzalez's blog:
http://blogs.adobe.com/rgonzalez/
- check the "Modular Applications" articles. I think this will go a
long way to making the reusable parts you are talking about.
Flex does not build things from instructions unless they are
written in ActionScript. We have customers that do create dynamic
interfaces based on data loaded from a database, so it is possible.
But if you have pre-built templates and all you need to do is
change certain aspects at runtime, it should be pretty easy with
Flex. Take a look at the Flex documentation, especially the part
about the Flex framework and how Flex sources are compiled into
SWFs.
You style Flex components using style sheets (CSS files).
This also includes specifying skins for components if you decide to
give something a whole new look.
I'm a bit biased here, but I think using ColdFusion (version
7.0.2) with Flex 2 is very easy. But it depends on your needs,
budget, deployment, etc. WIth CF 7.0.2 and Flex Builder 2 you get
wizards to be build both CFC (ColdFusion components) and matching
ActionScript objects so that you exchange objects, not just data,
between Flex and CF.
WebServices can also be used (with CF, too). This gives you
more choices to the backend. If you have a large amount of data or
it is complex, consider Flex Data Services as that has data
management capabilities.
Flex 2 has localization capabilties. You create a 'resource
bundle' in various languages and build SWFs for each one. When the
end user choses their preference, take them to the page that loads
the appropriate SWF.

my daughter is a college student. she needs to write and compile c programs on her mac for a class this semester. what is the best place for her to start to get the correct compiler etc. to use ? thanks
If you know that you will not be asked to design GUI interfaces, and the C programming course will adhere to command line compilation environments, then get the Xcode command-line developer tools, and skip the extra complication of Xcode until you absolutely need it. Apple has kicked GNU C to the curb and is rightly so, using Clang/LLVM compiler technology.
Sign up for a free Apple Developer account using your Apple ID, and then visit the Mac Dev Center, and towards the bottom of the page, you will see additional downloads. Click on the associated, all down loads link. Know your OS X version beforehand, as the command-line tool releases are tied to general operating system versions, and the most recent Xcode version. That said, there are currently two March 9, 2015 command-line tools for Xcode 6.2 — one for OS X 10.9 Mavericks, and the other for OS X Yosemite. -

How to compile a kernel or AOSP ROM for the Yoga Tablet 2 10?
Hello!
I noticed the source code is available for the Yoga Tablet 2 10. But I don't understand how to use it to compile a full AOSP ROM + kernel for the Yoga Tablet 2 10.
I have experience with the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7, but developing for other devices seems to require a lot more work to setup your environment.
Does someone here have a clue on how to get started?
Cheers!

Twitter: @jonashendrickxI managed to buy the Chinese bluetooth keyboard and case for the Android Yoga 2 Pro 13.3 inch for 16GBP on Amazon which is about 10 USD delivered and I'm pretty sure they were selling the 10 inch too. I'm, still waiting for it to appear from Hong Kong but I already bought the 10inch version for my Xoom and as long as you can stand the US keyboard it is a great case/keyboard. Detachable magnetic keyboard with 30 hour battery life on a 3 hour charge! Lenovo should team up with them.
EDIT It has now gone up to 26 GBP for the 10inch Yoga version.

EDIT2 Looks like you can still get it for 18GBP from a different supplier

This one looks even better because you can use the Yoga's adjustable stand with it

I downloaded the latest OSMF and for some reason they decided not to include a osmf.swc file. After some work I finally got to the point where I have almost created my own from the source. Unfortunatley I am still having one problem.
When I try to build it I get the following error:
Parameter initializer unknown or is not a compile time constant.
It points to the org.osmf.events package
Line where problem occurs
reason:String = HTTPStreamingEventReason.NORMAL,
I have removed the osmf library that shipped with flash builder (i am using flex 4.6 by the way)
I added the following lines in my additional compiler arguments
-define CONFIG::LOGGING true
-define CONFIG::FLASH_10_1 true
-define CONFIG::PLATFORM true
-define CONFIG::MOCK false
Any ideas what I did wrong?
cheers,Thank you Silviu,
I downloaded the catalog and library files. Here is what I did and my results.
I created a new Flex Library Project
I added a new swc directory and pointed it to where I have the catalog and library files I downloaded from your link.
I add the define statements mentioned in my first post.
I built the package and it created a swc file in my bin folder of the project.
I now wanted to add that swc file to my project I am working on.
I tried just copying the swc file from the bin directory into my libs directory and that did not seem to work. What I mean by that is I am trying to do a test to see if I can reference any classes so I put in
import org.osmf.media.MediaPLayer
I also tried to add the swc file in the build path but same problem.
I am assuming I did something wrong. Any ideas?
cheers -
Hello,
I try to generate a SWC from modified osmf sources (for my own needs). When I compile my app with my custom osmf SWC and other SWCs (use official osmf SWC), I have some compilations errors :
Application.as(51): col: 19 Error: Access of undefined property DRMState.
trace(DRMState.INITIALIZE);
Below the mxmlc instruction :
mxmlc --strict -static-link-runtime-shared-libraries -debug src/Application.as -o application.swf --library-path+=Custom_OSMF_2.0.swc --library-path+=Partner.swc.
Yvan
PS : DRMState.INITIALIZE does not exist in the official OSMF 2.0 release.Hi Silviu,
Thanks for you reply.
Yes you're right. I've defined it myself and I've generated a SWC (from OSMF 2.0). Actually, is not a DRM issue but something that breaks the compilation:
When I compile my app with my custom SWC and partners SWC (based on OSMF 2.0 without my patch), I have the following error :
Application.as(51): col: 19 Error: Access of undefined property DRMState.
trace(DRMState.INITIALIZE);
When I exclude the partner SWC fron the mxmlc instruction, everything is OK. -
Running maven for websphere components
I need to build websphere component using maven.
the websphere have 4 modules namely jar,war,ear.ejb
while running ejb module using maven which creates stub classes iam getting the following error
The method (name of the method)... not defined for ejscontainer
like this iam getting 300 errors for all the method iam using in ejb
can one help in this?Doesn't sound much like a Maven problem to me. Can you compile this code alright using any other compiler? Are you using the correct versions of dependencies? I reckon you're compiling against one version of some WebSphere jar in development, but another one at build-time

Error while compiling : Couldn't allocate output reg for contraint '{ax}'!
Hey all,
I'm trying to use an encryption library with Flash using Alchemy (PolarSSL)
I don't have any experience with compiling C and stuff (I've programmed in C# and Flash before) and I get an error when trying to compile my test program. I get :
Couldn't allocate output reg for contraint '{ax}'!
Does anyone know why I am getting this error? I managed to compile only the MD5 part of the library in flash and it all worked, that happens only when I try to put more classes from PolarSSL into my library.

Compilation Error: "class or interface expected" for simple EAR???
Dear all,
I have access to the customers NW CE 7.1 SP07 and of course I am using the corresponding NWDS 7.1 SP07 that comes with this CE installation. I am trying to study JEE 5 @ SAP and I have created a very simple Application (from the Book http://www.sap-press.de/katalog/buecher/titel/gp/titelID-1480).
In NWDS I have created the following 4 projects:
1. Dictionary Project
Describes 2 Tables (TMP_EMPLOYEES and TMP_ID_GEN)
2. EJB 5 Project
Contains a stateless EJB + local business interface + Entity class.
The EJB accesses the entity class, which is mapped to a simple table (TMP_EMPLOYEES).
3. Dynamic Web Project
Contains actually only one JSP (index.jsp) which allows to the local business interface for creating a new Entity.
4. Enterprise Application Project (EAR)
Creates a package from 2. and 3.
I have successfully deployed both the Dictionary Project and the EAR (all to the same server).
But If I call the corresponding URL via web browser I get the following error:
500 Internal Server Error
"Error in compiling [/EmployeeWeb/index.jsp] in application [sap.com/EmployeeEar]."
Details: "The WebApplicationException log ID is [005056841108002A00000070000007AC0139C8D8862D3EED]."
In the "Log Viewer" of the "SAP NetWeaver Administrator" (via browser...) I have found the following:
Message: Processing HTTP request to servlet [jsp] finished with error.
The error is: com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.jsp.exceptions.CompilingException: Error in executing the compilation process: [ Compilation Failed! Exit Code=1

As you can see there is some compilation error, it says 3 times "'class' or 'interface' expected". If i remove all the relevant EJB java code from my index.jsp everything works fine. So I guess there must be some problem with finding the resources. Unfortunately this "logging" is not helpful at all (thank you SAP!). In NWDS everything is fine no problems at all!!!
Who can help me here with this?
Thanks in AdvanceI have found the issue.
in the index.jsp I have the following lines:
<!-- Import Statements -->
<%@ page import="javax.naming.InitialContext" %>
<%@ page import="com.sap.demo.session.EmployeeServicesLocal;" %>
Now check the end of the second import ==> ;
Removing the semicolon solves the issue. But the SAP error message is still not very helpful to me. -
How to compile a java file in J9 for windows mobile 5.0
I have downloaded J9 for windows mobile 5.0 and need help on how to compile a java file.
You can compile your source code using J2SE ;)
may be this is important for you:

Compiler error type of object in for (Class obj : Items) - why?
Hi all,
I'm new to Java generics and am in the process of converting some
legacy code. I have encountered a particular error which I do not
understand the reason for, since I think the compiler has enough
information about the code to work out type information. The following
code shows a test class which demonstrates this error:
import java.util.Collection;
public class Test
interface Base {}
static class Impl1 implements Base{}
public <T extends Base> Collection<T> getCollection(Class<? extends Base> cls)
return null;
void someMethod()
for ( Impl1 obj : getCollection( Impl1.class ))
// *** compiler complains about the line above ***
// compiler says:
// Test.java:22: incompatible types
// found : Test.Base
// required: Test.Impl1
// for ( Impl1 obj : getCollection( Impl1.class ))
// ^
void someMethod2()
Collection<Impl1> coln = getCollection(Impl1.class);
for (Impl1 obj : coln)
// do something here with obj
}Why should the compiler complain where it does ( the line marked with
asterisks) in someMethod, but does not reject the declaration statement
in someMethod2? I would have assumed both are the same and the
compiler has the same type information at its disposal to determine
the correct type.
Cheers,
BonnyThe Java 5 compiler not only looks at a method's name and arguments, but also at its return value in order to determine whether a method is callable and what type should be infered for its type parameters.
In your example the type parameter T is only used in the declaration of the method's return type. Note that there is no relation between T and the type of the argument cls!
Thus, the compiles needs to know what type of variable the return value will be assigned to.
Hence, someMethod2 can be resolved, whereas in someMethod there is no assignment of the return value. (Rather, an implicit call to Iterable.iterator()).
You can solve this problem by forming a relation between the method's argument, its return type and its type parameter. Just declare the method like this:
public <T extends Base> Collection<T> getCollection(Class<T> cls)
return null;

In the Artist tab, I am unable to see all the songs I have for that artist under their name. It looks like the artist tab is organised by album artist so therefore any artist I have on a compilation album can only be found under various artists. Is there any way around this, cause its the only thing thats ******* me off about the new ITunes.
I used to have this problem.
First, you need to go back on iTunes
you need to go to each of the songs that are having this problem
Click the album so all the songs drop down
Right click the songs that have this problem
Click ' Get info '
Click the tab that says " info '
The box that says ' album artist ' should probably be empty (correct me if I'm wrong)
Click it and type the artist of the entire album, NOT the songs guest artist
as such,
ARTIST
JAY-Z Feat. Justin Timberlake
ALBUM ARTIST
JAY-Z
These should be separate for each artist
If you write the same album artists for each song by that artist, all the songs should be on 1 album
