Complete product list in ICSS catalog for Reference Objects:Products

In my current scenario, I have products that belong to different sales areas and while I create a catalog, I have created different variants for different sales area and assigned the products accordingly.
The problem is, in the catalog usage (SPRO->CRM->Web Channel->e-service->catalog usage), I can create 1 catalog indicator corresponding to only 1 catalog variant and the same indicator I am giving in the XCM for ICSS catalogs. The problem is, as different variants have different products, the user would never be able to see the complete list of products but can only see the products belonging to 1 variant (whose indicator I have given in the XCM). The expectation is that the user should be able to see all the products (irrespective of the sales area ) in the Reference Object field (ICSS catalog).
I tried different combinations like-
1.Creating catalog views and assigning BPs. There is no option though of assigning a view in ICSS catalog
2.Giving all the indicators in XCM separated by u2018,u2019. I was hoping that the string would be read with a delimiter in the code.
3.Only giving the catalog name while creating the indicator in SPRO (Variant is not a mandatory option there). This resulted in runtime errors on the UI when I tried to access the catalog
Can anyone suggest how we might be able to achieve this without any code enhancement?

Checked the values in the Visual Admin -> Trex Service--> nameserver.address value is filled with the host name and port number
But no nameserver.backupserverlist is maintained . If it required should i give the same server details of the above property ei "namserver.add*"
And also i found that in the Tcode SES_ADMIN , everything is blank and also in the ICSS/B2C/ADMIN portal . the Catalog Cache Statistics is blank, there is no Key or Catalogue Guid is present
Please suggest me where to check now again .

I have a similar question and after lloking around in internet I still have no clue how to solve it. When creating a service ticket i introduce the Ibase and Component. The Organization has to be determined based on the postal code of the IBASE. Now my problem is that still no GUID and Object ID of the Business Transaction is generated so I can not use for example FM CRM_ORDER_READ.
Also I have problems to find the structure or table where to see the IBASES which are related to Business Transactions if the transaction still not is created.
Any ideas?

Notification - reference object/reference documents

hi all,
When I create a new notification number for a given notification type in our system, there is a subscreen for reference object (such as material number) and reference document (such as production order number)
Is it possible to have a notification created for more than one material number or more than one production order?
Does this have to be with ABAP defining new screens?

I would suggest going to the Business Objects Support site and doing a search on "portal integration kit" (and before clicking on search, choose your product via the "Products:" indicator, as well as choosing the Document Types of "Kbase Articles", "Product Documentation", and "Technical Papers").

Reference object in Notification and Order

Hi ,
I have a requirement to capture following in the reference Object for notification and Order
1. Functional Location
2. Equipment
3. Material
4. Serial Number
Configuration setting for overview of notification type doesn't have the option to capture all the above fields.
I am able to get all fields except Functional Location...
Please guide me

Anil,
I have just been looking at this same requirement.
Unfortunately you can only use the standard options for reference objects which does not allow for your requirement.
There are no user-exits/BADIs either, you would need to build a new screen and screen-logic which is a system modification.
The best I could do within the standard system is to include these fields on the Enhancement tab (user-exit IWO10018) or build a bespoke front-end via ABAP or HTML. GUIXT is another option.

Pricing of a grid product is associated with the grid.
So the prices are at grid level and not at the main item level.
Thatu2019s the reason, prices will be shown corresponding to the grid in the grid screen instead of in product catalog.
You need to change the user setting to include the price info

Select the complete Product Heirarchy.. as F4

I have a requirement where there is a field in Java Webdynpro.
if user click F4 or value request,
i want to fetch the complete product heirarchies, like a tree structure .
somehting like, first it should show all the available categories, then sub categories, then products under that sub categroeis,
Is there any stnd BAPI or FM or searchhelp, available for this.
If not, how to fetch the data on these tables, COMM_HEIRARCHY, COMM_CATEGORY.

Hi Robin,
For getting the complete list of product hierarchies in system you can use the FM - COM_HIERARCHY_READ_ALL.
In order to get the categories assigned to each of this hierarchy, map the above FMs results esp. value of column ROOT_CAT_GUID to another FM COM_CATEGORY_READ_SUBTREE and you would have the tree kind of structure.
Further, I am not sure if SAP standard has a default tree structuring upto the product level as at times the product database has millions of entries (per category) and it might timeout.

How do I generate a list of keyboard shortcuts for any given application

I want to generate a list of keyboard shortcuts for all of the applications I have on my Mac. I want the list to be a simple text (or rtf) file that I can edit and organize. (By edit, I don't mean change the shortcuts, only the report of them.)
I was using Key Cue, but it does not let me save the list to a text file.
I want this for several purposes. One is to have a easy to reference list of shortcuts to learn. Another is to find unused key combinations that I can use for my own keyboard shortcuts that I create with DefaultKeyBinding.dict.
Note: The program doesn't have to an OS X app. A program that runs from a shell without a GUI is plenty adequate.
If there is a way to read the keyboard commands from a plist list or other such file, and any of you know the format for these or where I can find them, I can write a Perl script myself to do it.

Applications written or using CVI may call this function..

This function performs initialization of the CVI Run-Time Engine. It is needed only in executables or DLLs that are linked using an external compiler. Otherwise, it is harmless.

No measures found in the OLAP catalog for user CS_OLAP

Working in XP, with Oracle Database 10g 10.2.0.1.0, AWM 10.2.0.1A, JDeveloper installed from the 10.1.2.0.2 Developer Suite, BI Samples are 10.1.2.0.0)
I'm receiving this error when connecting to the CS_OLAP schema through JDeveloper:
"Warning: No measures were found in the OLAP catalog for user CS_OLAP; therefore, you will not be able to create OLAP queries with this connection."

I've installed the sample databases (oe, pm, sh, etc..) from the Companion CD. The SH schema (required for installation of CS_OLAP) is present.
I've executed install.bat from the ...\common_schema directory. It creates the CS_OLAP tablespace and user. There are no errors in the log file. It appears to be building the datafile. When it finishes, Enterprise Manager shows the CS_OLAP tablespace using 87% of its 325MB allocation.
In Enterprise Manager, there are a total of three tables listed for the CS_OLAP schema. They are: AW$AWDEBUG, AW$SHAW, and AW$UTILS. There are no "regular" tables listed, just these three Analytic Workspaces. I open an OLAP Worksheet in AWM, and I can execute AW ATTACH CS_OLAP.SHAW FIRST RO, and see all of the objects in the AW. They are populated with dimension values and data. It's a full blown AW.
I then installed the BI Beans sample applications. Again, no problems during installation.
I opened JDeveloper, drilled on the BIBEANS sample workspace, opened the CATALOG project, and checked the connection settings for the catalogBIDesigner. The TEST of the connection was successful, but I received that warning message. The 'Presentation 1' crosstab returns no data, only the little default table. Basically, the system can't see any data in the CS_OLAP schema.
So, an AW has been created for CS_OLAP, it's populated with dimensions and data, but JDeveloper doesn't see the contents.

Nevermind.
The answer is found in the version of the BI Samples zip file.
BI_10_1_2_1_0_samples.zip works just fine.
BI_10_1_2_0_0_samples.zip didn't.

Use of field TEXT_FIELDNAME in Field Catalog for ALV

Could any one pls tell me the relevance (purpose) of the field TEXT_FIELDNAME in Field catalog for an ALV ?
How is it different from the fields such as seltext_l, seltext_m, seltext_s ? When is it necessary to assign a value to this field ?

Refer to the following
TEXT_FIELDNAME : Field name of internal table field. You can use this field to define a reference to a field that is used as the description for the current field. If a subtotal is calculated for the current field, the ALV Grid Control displays the descriptions in the field assigned.
Example: Your output table contains one column for material numbers and one column for the description of what these numbers mean (such as clockwork). If you calculate subtotals for the material numbers, only these numbers are usually displayed as the subtotals text. Based on the link to TXT_FIELD , you can refer to the corresponding column with the material description. This description is then used as the subtotals text.
SELTEXT_L : Long key word (40 chars long). Determines the text to be used in the column selection for the column. A value should be assigned to this field if it does not have a Data Dictionary reference.
SELTEXT_M : Medium key word (20 chars long). Determines the text to be used in the column selection for the column. A value should be assigned to this field if it does not have a Data Dictionary reference.
SELTEXT_S : Short key word (10 chars long). Determines the text to be used in the column selection for the column. A value should be assigned to this field if it does not have a Data Dictionary reference.

I am not even sure that they have these inbound deliveries or not. How do I get a list of POs which have inbound deliveries created.
I tried searching the tables EKKO, EKPO, but of no use.
What is the easiest way out?

Add a custom table for field selection while creating field catalog for LIS

Hi,
I have a requirement to add a Custom table to be available for field selection while creating a field catalog for LIS. Its required as there are many custom fields to be used for field catalog creation and adding them in one of the existing tables listed is not a feasible option for us. Please let me knw if its possible..?? If yes how to get it done..??

You need to add your field in the Data Dictionary first. For example, if
you want the new field in the Order Item field catalog do the following.
Look at structure MCVBAPUSR (SE11). If you already have a user structure
appended to this structure then you can add your new field to your existing
structure. If there is no structure already appended to MCVBAPUSR then you
must create a new structure with your field in it and then append the new
structure to this one.
If you look at structure MCVBAP you will see the data appended to the end
of it.
Now you should see it in the field catalog.
