Component dropped on the 'Drag components or assets here' band, unable to edit

Hi,
I have got a weird problem and wish someone had come across this during their development:
I have a component which works perfectly normal up until now, there are some author content changes but apart from that there's no code changes.
This component allows drag and drop, but instead of landing on a blank space, now it lands exactly on top of the 'Drag components and assets here' band, which makes it impossible to edit when double clicked. Because it is overlapping with the 'Drag components and assets here' band, everytime it is double clicked a dialogue is popped up, says 'insert new component'. If you right click then you get only one menu option 'new', just like when you right click on the 'Drag components and assets here' band.
I know I can add 'cq:actions' properties to cq_editConfig to allow edit and delete, but it looks really bad because the author still sees a component overlapping with the 'Drag components and assets here' band.
I'd appreciate if you can shed some light on this!

I would recommend inserting some text into the component's jsp that is only visible while in edit mode (such as below)

Please add content for this component here
that way you can see SOMETHING in that component's rendered area - even if 'YOURBLAHSTUFF" is empty

The cq:listeners node of a component's cq:EditConfig has a number of events that fire with relation to the edit mode drag'n'drop stuff. You would probably want to hook one or more of the insert ones (beforeinsert, beforechildinsert, afterinsert, afterchildinsert).

In AIR, you can drag'n drop text between text components like TextInput and TextArea. There's an AIR bug where doing so doesn't result in a TEXT_INPUT or a CHANGE event. This is a workaround for that bug so that we listen for a nativeDragDrop event.

An mp3 file on my computer will not import to itunes by either the drag-and-drop or the Add File to Library method. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. My OS is Windows 7.

I purchased an mp3 from a private website on my laptop. The itunes library i sync ipod to is on my desktop, so i copied the mp3 onto a flash drive and then into my desktop in the Downloads folder and Desktop folder as well as the itunes music folder, 3 places. I opened itunes on the desktop and read the instructions for importing music that's already in my computer. Neither the drag-and-drop or the Add File to Library method works. I've tried both ways over and over. Cannot figure out what the problem is. I do note that the name of the mp3 file doesn't show the .mp3 extension, it appears as simply it's title, Eating Healthy, without any extension at all. Could the filename be the problem, or do you have any other idea what I'm doing wrong? My OS is Windows 7, using IE9. Thanks.
ADDENDUM AFTER READING ANOTHER DISCUSSION HERE: I have now tried right clicking the song in Windows Explorer and choosing Open With, clicking itunes. The mp3 plays in itunes but does not add to the library.

I don't have a Recently Added playlist. However, I discovered that the file I had named Eating Healthy was given the name You Can Enjoy Eating Healthy when it copied to iTunes. I'm guessing iTunes pulled the full name of the piece from the internet. Upshot--the mp3 did transfer to iTunes on all 3 tries, but I was looking in my alphabetized list under E, not Y, so I didn't see it there. Thanks for your help.

File can not be moved by drag and drop in the finder when not open Finder windows

With the operating system OSX Snow Leopard, it was possible, for example, a file from the desktop to pull drag and drop on the Finder icon, the page opened after a short and you could put the file in a folder.
At this stage I must first open the Finder to drag a file into the destination folder.
Is it a setting or is there anything wrong with my Mountain Lion properly?
It is often the case that several windows of other applications are open or in Fullscreen are, then I would, as I also already knew and am accustomed, for example a file regardless of the location from which drag drag and drop in the Finder without leaving the / program / site to open the Finder, before returning to the file then select I wanted to move.
Note: For all other programs it works.
Finder not only in where it makes the most sense.

   Picture 2: Finder icon flashes but the Finder window does not open. Finder windows have previously by clicking on the icon in the Dock will be open to pull a      file into it.

Yes, all I can tell you is that Finder does not have that function in ML. Your system is "working as expected".

[SOLVED] Thunar 1.6 doesn't drag-and-drop with the right mouse button

Hallo all.
It might be something I've done (though I did delete my ~/.config/Thunar directory before upgrading), but Thunar doesn't let me drag-and-drop with the right mouse button, thus stopping me from copying something instead of moving it, etc. Has anyone else had that too?

Microsoft Windows, Nautilus, the Haiku Tracker, and probably many other file managers have a feature where, when you right-click or middle-click and drag an icon to a new location, a pop-up menu appears and asks what you'd like to do (Move, Copy, Link). I thought I used to use this feature in Thunar too but it seems to have stopped working in recent versions. Has anyone else had any experience with it?

Why does the drag and drop feature not work?

I have several files on my desktop. When I try to move them o a new location, they just 'snap back' to their original position. Why doesn't the drag and drop feature not function properly?

Drag and Drop inside JTable: what draws the 'insert' line during the drag?

I'm trying to reconfigure a rather complex table with a fair number of custom renderers to include drag & drop of rows for resorting the table. Everything is working great, except that as I drag the rows there is no indication of the current insert point (i.e. the line that appears between rows). When I make a simpler table I see the line... I'm not sure what aspect of my current table is blocking this function. I'm writing in the hope that can someone can direct me to the method(s) responsible for drawing this line.

To elaborate a bit for anyone who might read this. I inquired with the Substance developers and they hope to support this feature in v5.1 (which requires SE6), but have no plans to update v4.3 (the last release before a switch to SE6).
Also, I'd still be grateful for any info pointing me to the Swing methods that draw the drag line.

Album overview
A photo album in iPhoto is just like one you would create with printed photos: It’s a collection of photos you select from your library and arrange in the order you want.
You can create photo albums to:
Focus on a particular subject, such as your favorite nature photos
Group pictures that you want to send to a friend, post on a webpage, or burn to a CD or DVD
Gather a decade of anniversary photos
iPhoto has two kinds of photo albums:
Standard photo albums: You create these albums (B, shown below) by selecting particular photos. You can add new photos by dragging them to the album (or using the Add To button), and you can remove photos at any time. All adding and removing is done manually; iPhoto doesn’t update standard albums automatically as you import new photos.
Smart Albums: iPhoto creates these albums for you, based on criteria your specify. iPhoto then updates Smart Albums (A, shown above) for you as your library changes. For example, you could create a Smart Album containing:
Photos of specific people, such as your family members. As you import new photos, iPhoto uses Faces to detect your family members, and automatically adds new photos of them to the Smart Album (after you’ve confirmed the matches in Faces).
All the photos of your daughter taken on school field trips in third grade. Use Faces (to name your daughter) and keywords (to mark certain photos or events as “field trips”) to help specify the photos you want iPhoto to place in that Smart Album.
Only photos taken with a specific camera, or photos matching other Exchangeable Image File (EXIF) information.
You can make as many albums as you like, and you can include the same photo in several albums without making multiple copies of it.

My drag images disappear when they are dropped on a correct drop target during the drag and drop interaction.

What am I missing. The opacity is at 100%. The drop target is a highlighted box from objects. I am using Captivate 8.

You might want to make sure your Depth setting is not set to Back instead of Front on your drop target(s).
The Depth setting is accessed via the Drag and Drop window/panel under Format setting while you have your drop target selected.
If your Depth setting is set to Back, especially if your opacity is set to 100% on your highlight box/drop target, your drag image would go behind your drop target giving the effect of disappearing behind your highlight box - especially if the drop target is larger than the drag image.

I would like to know how to attach an additional behavior to the "reset" button in my drag and drop exercise.
Here is the background:
In my drag and drop exercise, when the user drops the source on a target of his choice, certain elements appear and certain elements disappear
This means that depending on where he dropped the sources, certain elements will be visible and certain elements invisible when he is finished the activity
Because the sources are not re-draggable once he drops them, he will have the option to reset the exercise and start again from the beginning using the reset button
My challenge:
I would like exercise to return to its original state when the user selects the rest button . this means:
the dragged objects return to their orginal starting location (this is what naturally occurs when you hit the reset button)
any objects that had disappeared during the course of the activity reappear
objects that were not visible in the beginning , but had appeared during the course of the activity, again become invisible
So how can I add this action to the reset button?

Allowing the user to redrag the souce after it has been dropped would work for my particular problem if I could bind an action to the event redragging, namely making the elements reappear that had disappeared and the elements disappear that had appeared when the user dropped it the first time.

This is a second question on the same topic. I want to create multiple drags to each drop. I give the drags group names. Step three: run line to drops. Step 4: click object actions Step 5: unclick all but the one group name. It works for 2 out of 3 groups

I hope that someone will answer this. I want to create a drag and drop. Each drop has multiple drag answers. I group the drags and give them a Type name. I initial the drops. I go to Object actions. I unclick "accept all" I unclick all but the group I want to go to that drop. When I preview, two of the drops accept the three choices that they are supposed to accept. But the first one I try, only accepts one choice and lets the others bounce back. I'd also like to have a reset button which I can't find. I've spent hours and hours working on this.

Got it. When you go to unclick all the choices except the group you want, you have to also change the count. Even if the drags are in a group, the count still considers them individually
