Component image not getting displayed in Portal

Hi All,
I have added a jpg image to MIME folder in my component and used it as source for Image UI and also as a separator in Breadcrumb. When I run this web dynpro application in portal, the image is not getting rendered. I am getting cross mark instead of the image. But the image is getting displayed if I run the application as a stand alone application from SE80 -> Test. Once I do this, the image starts appering even in portal and again disappears after sometime.
Could you please help me to resolve this issue?

I hope you referred the MIME object in below way.
'/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ZCOMP_EPI/SELECTED.JPEG'
Where zcomp_epi is my component name and selected.jpg is mime object name. Check and let me know

Component is not getting displayed in process scheduler menu

Hi All,
I have created a project and created/registered a component in that project. I have also added a page which is having a record definition with a record named L_RUNCNTL having two search fields, to this component and configured L_RUNCNTL as search record for this component.
I have registered this component with below details:
Menu Name : PROCESS_SCHEDULER
Bar Name : PROCESS
Folder Name as PT_PROCESS_SCHEDULER
Select “Always Use default local node?” Check box
Permission List : PTPT1000
But after registration, when I open process scheduler menu I dont see this component listed. However, previously I created a component in this project and registered it with same details given above and I could see it in process scheduler menu.
I am surprised why another component registered with same details is not getting displayed in process scheduler menu.

I got this problem resolved. Here is what I did:
Ran portal security sync at the navigation PeopleTools > Portal > Portal Security Sync.
Cleared browser cache, accessed the page again and saw the link was available.

Images not getting displayed!...Urgent

Hi,
While developing code on my local machine, update, delete, etc images are not getting displayed. I am having problem while testing code on my machine. But the same code when i am deploying on the server works fine. How do i resolve this.

When you delete the system folder and try to run the page from that project, all the folders and files gets regenerated. Hence if some image files were corrupted or missing, they should be regenerated back.

Graph image not getting displayed when navigating from another page

Hi All,
I have implemented a line graph in ADF with "dept no"(in x-axis) and "avg sal"(in y-axis). When I am going to run only this graph page, its showing proper data.
But,when I am trying to navigate from another jspx page (which is under some package) to this graph page, the graph is not getting displayed(graph image is not getting displayed).
In my project I am following package structure for jspx and backing bean.
Please help me to solve this problem.

@Embed embeds at compiletime, so it can't take a variable. If
you want to
embed the graphics, embed them to the main file and use
DataGrid's
iconFunction to pass an icon to the itemRenderer.

Adhoc Query data not getting displayed on Portal

Hi,
I have a problem with custom Adhoc query data not getting displayed on the portal.
It was getting displayed initially but after a user made some changes to the query its not getting displayed.
The query is displaying data perfectly on R/3 but on portal ..Its giving the message no data found.
Can anyone help me on this.
Also if anyone can tell me how do i debug an Adhoc query from potal.
Is there any tool to debug an Abap program from portal.

find out the EXACT query u want to launch if it's display
in BW buisness explorer then change the iview property
for that query in portal . right click on iview
BEx Web Application Query String -> assign correct query

Bex reports are not getting displayed in portal

Hi,
We have created the BW iviews in portal (SAP EP 7.0 SP10). iViews work fine in Q environment but when I import all the iViews, roles and worksets in production server and assign the role to particular user, i am not able to see the bw reports. I am getting the run time exception "Could not find portal application com.sap.ip.bi.bics.".
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi every1,i am facing a problem in displaying images in the WebView. when a particular page or HTML is loaded in a WebView ,images are not coming and i am not able to go to other pages on clicking another link in that page. can ny1 help me?

@ is a default value as per ALV internal process. This is used in icons .
I think this is causing the confusion.
Check in the fieldcat if there is any adjsutment to be made to handle this.

I have image tag in my jsff file.
The image is shown on preview.
But when i run the application , the image is not displayed.
Am using Firefox 3.6.6 and IE 7
Tried using the following tags:

Move your images to a folder outside WEB-INF. Anything under the WEB-INF folder cannot be accessed directly by the user. However, you can use a servlet to access images under WEB-INF.

Images from KM are not getting displayed in EP

Hi All,
I am using EP7.0 SP11.When I run the portal, the images are not getting displayed. When I right click on the * mark and click on Show picture, then also its not appearing.
Location of the Images that I received from EP is mentioned below.

Images are available in the location in the below mentioned path as .jpg files:-

Difference in both is a DOCS folder missing in between........
Is this is the reason for the image not getting displayed?
Anything more has to be done in KM part to display these images?
May I know how to solve this issue??

Hi,
the right path look like this: /irj/go/km/docs/<path_to_document>.
You may have to check you URL generator service settings. Here:
Configuration - Content Management - Global Services - URL Generator Service(advanced section)
and then have a look for example for the following values "Content Access Path:" and "Viewer:" normally they both have same value "/irj/go/km/docs".

We have deployed ESS/MSS Business packages in our system. Also configured UWL to display workitems in portal. But when testing leave request, leave request workitems are not getting displayed in portal as UWL. Any help on this will be appreciated.

visible in portal. Re-configured UWL, but still the task not coming( leave request). For other users it is > coming?
Where have you created these users? Many times it is not enough to create new users in a backend system. You will have to create them in the data source which is used by the UME of your portal or to map this data source with the system where you have created your new users
You can see what data source your portal is using by going to
Portal --> System Administration --> System Configuration --> UME Configuration --> Data Source
If this Data Source doesn´t contain your new users, then UWL wouldn´t be able to show their items.
Here you can check if your user is contained in the data source:
Portal --> User Administration --> choose the right data source --> put in the username --> search
Please check if your users are correctly created.

Portal Forms are not getting displayed in the new oracle environment.

The Forms in our Portal applications are not getting displayed after we have done the upgradation of Database in Unix from 8i to 9i. The reports are working fine.The forms that were added as portlets are not getting displayed and other forms that are called thorough links returns error when it is run. The Newly created forms are also not running but returns error. The Portal Version is 3.0.9.8.3. Pls help.

Work item not getting displayed in the portal

Hi experts,
We are creating a protoype for one of the standard HCM form for change in working time. When we initiate the process, the workflow is supposed to identify the agent(which is the manager in this case) and push the work item in the inbox of the manager.
In our issue, we are able to see the workitem in SAP inbox, but the same work item is not getting displayed in the portal.
If we try to approve from the SAP inbox, the hard coded message u201CWork item can only be executed using the Portal and the UWLu201D comes. [this comes through the method of one of the tasks 17900101 which we are using for approving the form]
We commented the message by using a Z class. Now we donu2019t get the hardcoded message, but still the workflow does not complete from here.
Can this be aan integration issue of the workflow tasks with the portal??Can someone elaborate on this??
