Components scripts for ComboBox

Hi
I have have a flash form using some regular input texts and a
couple of components version MX 2004 pro and works fine (Thanks to
Zimmer) but rebuilding the exact same form using a Professional
Version 8 components doesnt work.... it just keep sending
'unDefined' as result to the comboBox and the InputText components.
Does anyone out there know what is the difference and how to fix
this bug???
Here is the script attached to the comboBox component Version
MX 2004:
on (change) {
trace("Accommodation selected: " + this.getValue() );
var accommodation = this.getValue();
_root.form.accommodation=_root.form.accommodation.getValue();
Tried using instead of getValue, getFocus, and
selectedItem... but same result (undefined)...
The same results got for a TextInput component... Please
someone help me!!!
Thanks
e.

Anyone have suggestions on how I can go about it?
Hi,
ignoring the fact that I agree with jrv here - can't see the point compared to alternatives - this consists of basically 3 steps:
Get All users that match your requirements
Get their email address
If it hasn't changed yet, change it
In order to do the first step you need to figure out how to track time in container. Options (of varying quality) that come to mind:
Get info from AD Auditing
Add Information to a field on the user
Create subordinate containers in disabled users, one for each month and year
Once you have the individual steps down, patch it together into a script and schedule it. Here's an
intro guide to scripting in PowerShell, in case you need it.
Cheers,
Fred

  • An error occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore.

    Hello,
    I am using my AD in Windows Azure VMs. I created new VM of A3 (4 cores, 7 GB Memory) Windows Server 2012 R2, Port 1433 MSSQL added, made it a member of Domain and planned to install first Lync Server 2013 on it.
    In "Setup or Remove Lync Server Components" of "Install or Update Lync Server System", got an Red Coloured text "An error
    occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore."
    I have not enabled monitoring and archiving server in topology builder. I added "Network Service" and assign "Full Control" in Security Permissions of "C:\CsData" and "C:\LyncShare".
    I executed the SQL Setup Wizard and upgraded any instance to 2012.
    Please guide.
    Thanks, Divyaprakash Koli

  • New Skinning For ComboBoxes

    Does anyone know a good resource for Skinning Comboboxes?  I know basic skining, and have been able to skin the text fields, and the 'openButton' for comboBox, however I am looking to do more.
    Specifically, I want to skin the BG of the dropDown so it will look similiar to this: http://screencast.com/t/NzY5YjYx however, with the BG scaling properly.

    Hi,
    If you set the constraints rather than width and height it should work
    <mx:Image source="@Embed('src/com/mindspark/SkinTest1/assets/testSwf.swf#box2')"  id="background"
    top="1" left="1" bottom="1" right="1"/>

  • Formatting textfile for Combobox.dataProvider

    Can't seem to find any formatting rules for array
    construction through an external file.
    This is what i am trying to do:
    I've loaded vars into the _root this works fine. Splitted its
    value for constructing an array. This seems to work fine aswell.
    If I code the array within the fla in this format:
    my_dP= new Array(
    {label:"choose..."},
    {data:"
    http://www.myserver.com/netlabel/Johannes
    Lauxen.txt",label:"Johanes Lauxen"},
    {data:"
    http://www.myserver.com/netlabel/PQR1.txt",
    label:"PQR1"}
    and use this for the dataProvider for the combobox named
    my_cb like this:
    my_cb.dataProvider = my_dP;
    everything works fine.
    The problem is:
    But if I put this in the same formatting in the textfile for
    the array I create using split like I described above, the values
    for my labels in my_cb are this text, i mean it doesn't
    interpretate the loaded text as script, it just displays the code
    as labels.
    my textfile looks like this :
    &var2={label:"choose..."}#{data:"
    http://www.myserver.com/netla
    bel/Johannes Lauxen.txt",label:"Johanes
    Lauxen"}#{data:"
    http://www.myserver.com/netlabel/PQR1.txt",
    label:"PQR1"}&
    (O, the # is used for delimiter)
    How can i get this to work ? Or is it not the
    textfileformatting that causes the problem ?
    many thanks

    Note: you need to create the boot.properties file (in /security) for each server, and provide the username/password so WebLogic won't prompt for it when starting automatically (otherwise it doesn't start :p) ....refer to the install manual or [weblogic boot.properties|http://onlineappsdba.com/index.php/2010/08/21/weblogic-startup-prompting-from-username-password-bootproperties/]

    HI,
    Is this script for Enterprise Install on a single computer? For Simple install I think there is no concept of nodemanager and managedserver.

  • Startup/Shutdown script for OBIEE 11g on Linux

    Hi all,
    as a follow-up to [url http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=4546010]an earlier thread by some fine gentleman, I have improved the original startup/shutdown script for Linux a bit, making sure that all processes are handled correctly. The script has been tested and works fine on CentOS 5.5 with Oracle BI 11.1.1.3.0 in a clustered configuration. Instructions:
    Manual start/stop:
    > service obiee start
    > service obiee stop
    > service obiee status
    Automatic start/stop during boot sequence:
    > chkconfig --add obiee
    > chkconfig obiee on
    Note that in order for the procedure to go through smoothly, you need to provide the admin credentials (username/password, defaulting to weblogic/weblogic) in three different places:
    1. In configuration file <FMW_HOME>/user_projects/domains/<domain name>/servers/AdminServer/security/boot.properties for the administration server;
    2. In script <FMW_HOME>/user_projects/domains/<domain name>/bin/startManagedWebLogic.sh (variables WLS_USER and WLS_PW) for the managed server;
    3. In the startup script itself (variables BIEE_USER and BIEE_PASSWD) for shutting down the managed server.
    Complete logs are available in /var/log/obiee-start (-stop).log files.
    Please comment as necessary,
    Chris

    You can use WLST to start/stop BI Services and it works on both Linux and Windows.

  • Startup/Shutdown script for OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0 on Linux

    There was a very good thread on start/stop scripts for Oracle BI 11.1.1.3.0 that can be found at
    https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=9896816#9896816Now OBI11.1.1.5.0 is out and I tried to use the scripts in the post to start OBI 11.1.1.5.0 after system reboot. I did the following
    1) saved the scripts modified with my environemnt variables in /etc/init.d
    2) login as root
    3) issue command, and got in std out right away

    OBI is not started. Can some one help ?

    Tried various things and has a work around.
    First of all, cannot make WLST work for me. Then tried manually step by step as described in reference https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=9896816#9896816 that is in fact agree with document e10541.
    1) Start Admin Server and response to prompt to username/password
    <BI Domain Home>/bin/startWebLogic.sh
    2) Start node manager
    $WL_PATH/startNodeManager.sh
    3) Start managed Server with Weblogic Server Admin Console
    4) Start System Components with opmnctl
    ./opmnctl startall This works with the following notes1) Do step one in backgroumd not work, cannot response the username/password prompt properly.
    2) If change WLS_USER and WLS_PW in <BI Domain Home>/bin/startManagedWebLogic.sh as in the reference cited abover, step 1 still prompt for username and stops right after username is provided.
    3) Step 3 does not work if use command line
    <BI Domain Home>/bin/startManagedWebLogic.sh bi_server1 http://<admin_server_host_name>:7001
    Has to use UI tool Weblogic Server Admin Console.  Question1) How to provide username/password to startWebLogic.sh to allow run it in background
    2) How to provide username/password to startManagedWebLogic.sh to allow run it in background

  • Skinning Cell Renderer for ComboBox

    How does one change styles for the CellRenderer of a
    ComboBox?
    Flash help gives a nice example on how to skin CellRenderer
    styles for Datagrid and TileList components, but doesn't mention
    anything on how to do the same for a ComboBox.
    The code example for Datagrid and TileList doesn't work for
    ComboBox.

    Hi camickr - I apologize for initiating new threads. Although I am aware that I should reply to follow-up, to me these was a totally different question from the others, although the context was the same.
    I'll be more careful though !
    Thanks for your reply. Actually I got the two (Boolean and Object) renderers working. The problem I am having now is that before I implented the rendering piece, once I clicked on a row, it got highlighted, however now, after implementing these, that doesn't happen anymore. How can I get it to behave as before, where it highlighted a particular row ?
    Here is the code. Thanks again !
        table.setDefaultRenderer(Boolean.class, new TableRenderer());
       table.setDefaultRenderer(Object.class, new TableTextRenderer());
    //cell renderers
    class TableRenderer extends JCheckBox implements TableCellRenderer {
        public Component getTableCellRendererComponent(JTable table,
                                Object value, boolean isSelected,
                                boolean hasFocus, int row, int column ) {
            setSelected(((Boolean)value).booleanValue());
              if( row >= 3){
                setBackground( Color.yellow );
            else setBackground(Color.white);
            return this;
      class TableTextRenderer extends JTextArea implements TableCellRenderer {
          public Component getTableCellRendererComponent(JTable table,
                                  Object value, boolean isSelected,
                                  boolean hasFocus, int row, int column ) {
        JTextArea label = new JTextArea();
        label.setText((String)value);
        label.setBackground(Color.yellow);
                if( row >= 3 && column == 0){
                  setBackground( Color.yellow );
             else label.setBackground(Color.white);

  • ANT scripts for JBI artifacts operations

    HI All,
    I want to write ant scripts for installing,uninstalling and other operations for components ,SA,SU,. Can anybody tell me the way to write scripts....
    Hope a soon reply...

    The JBI 1.0 specification requires implementations to supply the Ant tasks defined in the Management chapter. Obviously the implementation you are using has not passed the JBI 1.0 technological compatibility test (TCK) suite.
    You should speak to the vendor. They cannot claim JBI 1.0 compliance until their implementation passes the TCK. The TCK includes extensive tests of the Ant tasks required by the specification.
    Alternatively, you can use the JBI reference implementation, available at http://java.sun.com/integration. This is a fully complaint implementation of JBI. Using it will allow you to avoid problems posed by other partial or other non-compliant implementations.

  • Is it possible to create Thread for Swing Components or for JApplet?

    Can i create a Thread by extending Thread class or implementing Runnable interface with JApplet?
    thanks

    Does your website live on a Windows server? The above link you posted will require a Windows server for that to work but if you do, then you should be able to just follow the links instructions.
    If your site is not on a Windows server (maybe it's on Linux?) then you would most likely need a PHP solution - something like this: http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_mail.asp. Depending on your host, they might actually have a ready-built form script for you to use so it might be best to ask them first.
    You might also want some kind of validation to ensure you receive the correct information so something like jQuery Validate could work.

  • Workaround for ComboBox Horizontal Scrolling Needed

    Hi ,
    I have a combobox which contains very long strings.(actually 3 strings(name of size 10 chars,type of size 10 chars, and 3rd string containing a list of abt 60 numbers)
    But on selection, the width becomes too much and goes out of the screen.
    I dont want to set max width becoz there is a requirement for the user to be able to see the contents of the whole string.
    I learnt that there is no Horizontal scrolling option for the dropdown of the combobox.
    So i'd like to know if the following is possible.
    display only the
    name and type in the dropdown. and when the mouse is hovered over a particular item, show  a vertical list of 60numbers corresponding to the item being currently hovered.
    is such a thing possible? or can u suggest a better workaround?
    one option is to select an item from the dropdownlist and then use alert.show() to show the list of all numbers. but tat seems very crude way of doin it.
    Thanks.

    This code works fairly well using an itemRenderer, though you may need to tweak it for your situation.

    this is a simple batch file am using for monthly patches. But now there are servers in staging area of DC which are required to patch with all missing patches from last 1year or so. We got all the patches in to a folder, and need to run against each server.
