Concatenating data for field assignment in Dynamic Action

In a dynamic action I am creating a record in a custom infotype. In one of the custom infotype fields I need to assign a value of the number 28 concatenated with the personnel number. The line in the dynamic action is
W P9007-Z_INS_EE_PK = '28'&Pernr but the problem is I cannot get a concatenation to work. How do you go about concatenating data together in a field assignment?

For this, you will have to write a small routine in a program and then call it in the dynamic action. Consult your technical team on this. Get them to write a routine which would concatenate the value and pass it to field RP50D-FIELD1. You would then call the routine and default the fields as shown below:
F ZPROGRAM(Z_CONCATENATE)
I INS,9007,,,
W P9007-Z_INS_EE_PK=RP50D-FIELD1
Here, ZPROGRAM is the name of the program and Z_CONCATENATE is the routine which would contain the logic to populate field RP50D-FIELD1 with concatenated value.

I have check the expression you have provided and there are many incorrect using of this expression, please check and do some modification as below:
For the MonthName function you should follow the grammar like:
=MonthName(10,True)
=MonthName(Month(Fields!BirthDate.Value),False)
="The month of your birthday is " & MonthName(Month(Fields!BirthDate.Value))
You have add the dataset name "DealStarts" at the wrong place, it should like below:
=Last(MonthName(Month(Fields!BirthDate.Value)),"DealStarts")
or
=Last(MonthName(Fields!IntegerValueField.Value),"DealStarts")
This will return the last value from the dataset
There is no function named launchdate, expression "launchdate ("RowofTrendingVisibility")" is incorrect and you shouldn't add the datasetname in this way.
If the expression involved of conditions from two different datasets, limit kinds of functions will support to use:
=Last(Fields!BirthDate.Value,"DataSetName")
=First(Fields!BirthDate.Value,"DataSetName")

Get infotype data in e-mail/sapscript - Dynamic action-

Hello,
we developed a dynamic action sending a mail if an employee leave the company.
We can catch data in infotype 0000 and 0001 in the sapscript used in the mail, but we would like also fetch data from other infotypes.
We tried to generate an ABAP code from an ad hoc query, but it was impossible to get the return tables in the sapscript.
Are there other solutions to get infotype data in saps scripts?

you can follow the below solution .
1. Create a custom report for the leaving/terminated employees by using the action in infotype 0000 with field massn, massg.
2. you will get all the employees from table pa0000 who are laving between a date interval .
3. by using the personnel numbers from pa0000 get other infotypes information.
4. create a smartform/script for your requirement.
5. using the program you can send the data to the employees.
another way .
if you know the name of the script you can create some variables for the other fields from other infotypes in that script and you can populate the variable values using perform in program command using a custom program in that script.

How to find table that store real data for field 'BETRG' ?

1) datasource 0HR_PY_1 include field 'BETRG' in R/3 source system; extract structure HRMS_BIW_PY1 for datasource 0HR_PY_1, however structure is not used for stroing data. Question: how can we find table which store real data for the field 'BETRG'?
2) If I want to add one type call department leader type which already defined in one enhanced HR table, to calculate the total amount using field 'BETRG' according to department leader type. Should I enhance datasource 0HR_PY_1 by adding department leader type or create new view based on enhanced HR table and another table that include 'BETRG' data, also create new datasource based on this view later on?

I am trying to add values to Rule for Adoption of ATP Results in Purchasing(REVFE),Delivery Type for Stock Transfers Within a Company Code(LFART1) and another two more fields..After entering the data When i clik Save button... it shows "Data was Saved".But its not showing when i went back and come
I have checked in debugg mode and table T161V table ..waht ever i entered its not saved in Database table.
We have checked in another system its working fine..
Can anyone please help me on this?

No Data for field in RSA3

Hi Experts,
I have a Business Content Datasource.
I have a field in EKBE table for which I have records in the table.
When I run RSA3 t-code, I do not see the records for that field.
I checked my extract structure enhancement and it looks fine.
Please let me know why I am not able to see the values

First check whether you got any data in the relevant base tables for purchasing (eg EKKO, EKPO,EKBE etc) .
Fill with OLI3BW and then run the setup tables,look in SM37 to see your details job (and run-time duration...)
Once you have done some postings you may find some entries in the corresponding base tables.
Now try to check the data in extract checker rsa3.
Also pls chk these links .

I need help changing the following date, 07/23/2009 to 07/01/2009. Regardless of the date that is read from table I always want to change it to reflect day 1 another example: 12/24/2009 to 12/01/2009.

The value field "Assign." in the interface to Financial Accounting is an initial value but you are required to make an entry in the field selection for G/L Account XXXX in company code XXXX linked to the field selection for posting key "50".

Hi,
The Assignment Number BSEG-ZUONR (I suppose "Assign." means it here.) field status for posting key and GL is optional and mandatory.
I think the GL Account SORT KEY in FS00 is the assignment selection for Billing to FI doc. Say if the SORT KEY is Posting Date, the assignment from Billing to FI Doc would be the date of posting.
But if the SORT KEY is blank ( This is case for my G/L account), the system will select the assignment written in Billing document header (VBRK-ZUONR).
I checked other billing documents, which are not in the same billing type as the one with error, and found it follow the above logic.
So how come this time it shows the above error? Really confused.

   I need to populate data for field ZDOCCATG(Document Category) based on the value of the below two fields,

The logic is as follows:

Help using a dynamic action to update tabular form items (specifically radio button) based on collection

I have noticed the following:
when I change column C011 (price) the following values are set in the dynamic action:
P110_ID = f11_1
P110_VALUE = whatever I change the price to.
when I change the column C024 (hms_flag), the following values are set:
P110_ID = f03_0001
P110_VALUE = whatever I change hms_flag to.
the region is refreshed in my dynamic action, and the change for hms_flag does not hold. I have tested the SQL query that generates the value for v_SEQ in the dynamic action.   In both a change to price and HMS_FLAG it appears valid

field c024 references f03.
the Dynamic ACtion, step 4 calculates v_member by taking a substring of P110_ID...and in all other fields, the column and the field (fxx) are the same value....except for c024.
I am not certain exactly how to resolve, but see the problem.

How can I get Dynamic Actions to work on Actions that are stored solely on IT0302 due to the multiple relationship to a previous Action that is stored on both IT0302 and IT0000?
When multiple actions on a given day are executed, the dynamic action from the first action entered is executed twice - when it should only execute the first time with the second actions dynamic action triggering the second time.

When there are multiple actions with the same effective date the wrong dynamic action is triggered. For example, if I have an Expat Return To Home action followed by an Internal Move action with the same effective date the below events occur:
1. IT0001 is updated due to Expat Return to Home - triggering the Dynamic Action off of IT0000 which is Expat Return to Home (Correct)
- Action is stored on IT0000 and IT0302
2. IT0001 is updated due to Internal Move - triggering the Dynamic Action off of IT0000 which is Expat Return to Home (Incorrect - background processing creates data not needed)
- Action is stored only on IT0302

How can we leverage Multiple Actions with the same effective date while continuing to use Dynamic Actions?

Dynamic Action on "Get Focus" After Closing a Popup Window

From one of APEX Application Pages I am calling a Popup Window where users can create a new record. In the Popup Window once the record is created and window is closed, I want to refresh the region on the main page to show the record created in the popup window.

Assuming that you have a dynamic action in the parent page which refreshes the region
<li> Make a note of the event which triggers your dynamic action, lets call this event A.
<li> Create a JS function in parent page which triggers event A when called.
For example if your Dynamic Action trigger is a button(id ="P100_REFRESH") press event
Your JS function could be
