Concurrent users reporting, by cost centre or group

hi, does anyone know of a way to report on peak numbers of
users across a cost centre or group, rather than just per meeting?
I can't find a way to do this, hope someone else knows how, it's
driving me nuts!
the scenario is multiple depts per cost centre, or group
(don't mind either way, whichever works will be acceptable!!!),
multiple groups in company. Groups are cross charged for concurrent
licences, so I need to report on how these are being used.

I have been in this situation a couple of years ago. We ended with a solution where I made a report for generating the roles based on the responsibility area, and where the user assignment where done manually. Not a very elegant solution, but it worked.
I can see that your requirement are a bit more sophisticated though. And if you do not want to generate a lot of roles I think you will need to develop your own concept for this.
But again, as authorization check are implemented directly in the source code, this is not a small task ~ at least my guess is that you will have to limit the number of report etc used by managers to very few, perhaps Managers desktop or Manager Self Service could help here ? Otherwise I guess my suggestion would be to develop my own reporting application, or try to convince the customer to give up some of the requirements.
The bottom line is, that SAP Finance really can't handle this in an elegant manor, So Yes  -  a finance version of structural authorizations would be a great Idea

  • Hierarchal Report for Fund Centre Hierarchy/Group for Total Records

    Hello Gurus,
    I need to check if there is some Hierarchal report in FM which displays the data as per my Funds Centre Hierarchy or group. Like there is a report in Cost Centre Accounting (S_ALR_87013611) which displays the figures according to different grouping on the left hand side of the screen.
    In FM report for example if I will go to - FMB_PT01 - Totals Records report and populate the Funds Centre Group then system populates the report for the relevant funds centres in that group individually but do not group the figures logically as per the group structure like we have in Cost Centre Reporting.
    Please advise if there is any such kind of report or is there any possibility of creating a report painter/writer or we need to go for fully customized report.

    Hi,
    This is a standard feature with Report Painter reports. S_ALR_87013611 is a Report Painter report in library 1VK report 1SIP-001. There are 4 standard FM reports in Report Painter library 4FM. You can also define your own FM reports under library 4FM. Please see the link below on how to create a report:

    Hi,
    You can use this one S_ALR_87013602 for totals, but, of course, it does not split between cost objects. For line items, you can build simple SQVI based on COEP table.

    This may be more complicated than you were hoping for, but here is how it can be done. The parts that write the xml attributes to the results log can be used to compare to your database or databank. I did not include code to do that here. You will need to reference the rswWait object in tools/references. Can't use win api for sleep because it will hang the process.

    Dear Experts,
    How to restrict a user agisnt each cost centre. For ex: In a Company 10 Depts are exist
    Each dept have 2 Cost centres now i want resrtcit one user for 2 cost centres only like MECH dept is uses two cost centre & having one user ID & he should not use other cost centres of other depts,
    Please help me how to control on this.

    Hi ,
    Authorization of cost center is based on the Authroization object K_CCA .
    It depends on the transactions that the user is executing .
    In SU24 check for the authorization object K_CCA for the T codes that you want to restict the users role you will have to change the value of auhtoirzation object .
    Hope this suffices .

        i have to make a report on cost centre expenses with the help table COSP.I have to put cost centre  from OBJNR in which last five haraters are cost centre and period like month  and year.After that in report display i want KSTAR i.e. in down the line and cost centres of selection in vertical it may increase or decrease depending on selection.After that i have to add all the WTG001-WTG016.if in seletion period is 1 to 2 then i have to add WTG001 and WTG002 in corresponding in KSTAR and so on in desired cost centre column below that facing respective KSTAR.If anyone can send any report relating that i will be thankful.

  • Report of Profit Centre Rolling Year?

    In CCA, there is a SAP standard report of Cost Centre Rolling Year, 1SRJ-001 or S_ALR_87013631.  Is there a equivalent for PCA, profit centre rolling year?  We want a  report that allows us to run profit centre results for a twelve month period beyond current fiscal year. 
    Appreicated any feedback.

    There are variables in table GLPCT that enables comparison of 2 time periods.
    Fiscal year (1): 8AYEAR1
    From period (1): 8A-VON1
    To period (1):  8A-BIS1
    Fiscal year (2): 8AYEAR2
    From period (2): 8A-VON2
    To period (2): 8A-BIS2

  • Removing Controlling Area from Profit/Cost Centre

    Hi,
    When I run a report the cost centres, cost elements and profit centres are displaying with the controlling area at the start of the field eg  DTC/P123456, DTC/C78910, I have tried restricting on the controlling area but that does not seem to change the display.
    I cant reall edit the transformation either as they are attributes, any idea?

    But i dont want to do this through the transformation.
    Also when I do display data on the cube the the profit centre shows correctly P123456 and also the cost elements, the controlling area ccomes through on a different field?
    So it is at the query designer level that something is happening.

  • Cost Centre Report by monthly

    Hello SAP Gurus,
    We have developed a Zreport for Cost Centre report in monthly, for this i have used Table COEP , CSKS, SETLEAF. The report is working fine. It is not working for particular Cost Centre Group or Cost Element Groups, for this the values are taken from SETLEAF but other groups values are avialable in SETLEAF.thats why its working fine with some CCG or CEG
    we developed Zreport based on the user requirement with above tables, so some values are missing with compare KSB1.
    So please let me know how to find out CCG or CEG groups? in which tables?

    Values are more in Zreport, in other words activity type cost elements are not reflecting in Zreport, but it reflecting in KSB1.
    example: flow from PM module.
    Actually we had used logic  based on the Cost Centres, in that cost centre by taking Object number and it passes to COEP table, then we are getting values as same as KSB1.
    As per investigation i found that the object number is differ from COEP table and CSKS table.
    Exapmple : 1410000 object number in CSKS table, 1410000EL in COEP table, thats why in Zreport these values are not reflecting.Finally our requirment is , Zreport values should same as KSB1 vlaues.
    So please give me inputs or logic how to over come this issue.

    c) 'hard-coded' filter in the relevant report (only if it's user-developed report)

  • Report distribution by cost centre

    We would like to know if there are any threads or links that explain how to circulate a cost centre report that only contains values according to the recipients home cost centre. 
    That is, person A receives his / her respective cost centre data;  person B receives the same report, but with only their cost centre data etc... automated circulation according to a common schedule.
    We need this solution to email the reports (probably in PDF format) to each user automatically, according to a pre-determined schedule.

  • Can we attach cost centre to profit centre group?

    I would like to know whether a cost centre can be attached to profit centre group or is it mandatory to attach it to only profit centre?
    Also can i maintain profit centre and profit centre group at same level in profit centre hierarchy?

    Cost center will be assigned to Profit center only not to  profit center group.  the main intention of the maintain the profit center in the cost center master data, what ever the transactions are posted to the particular profit center the same may  be posted to Profit center.
    Profit center group means, all the similar nature profit center will be clubbed under one profit center group or you can prepare the profit center groups for your reporting purposes also.

  • Cost Centre Reporting

    Hi,
    We are a large company with around 40000 staff and have the following business requirement.
    - Cost centre reporting is expected to be hierarchical in nature but current Cost Centre structure in Australia is flat in structure.
    - Natural hierarchies already exist by organisational structure: Total Company, Business, Zone, Region, Area and Branch.
    - As a high level requirement, cost centre data should only be available to the manager of the organisational unit that they are managing and any lower level organisational units. Managers should only be able to view their organisational unit costs or lower organisational unit costs. They should not be able to view cost centre data across structures (peer organisational units) or higher levels of responsibilities (parent organisational units).
    - The ability to access cost centre reporting data should take into account HR delegations and substitution processes. This also needs to take into account the granting of the correct authority to the delegated person to run reports.
    - One possible option is to utilise the A250 Cost Centre Manager relationship in SAP to facilitate the security for cost centre reports.
    I will be handling these requirements from a security perspective and would liike to achieve this without creating hundreds of roles and a maintenance nightmare.
    A finance version of structural authorisations would be good
    Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    The OBJNR field structure is as follows :-
    AABBBBCCCCCCCCCCDDDDDD
    AA = object type eg. KS (cost center)
    BBBB = controlling area
    CCCCCCCCCC = cost center
    DDDDDD = activity type
    Based on the structure, you will be able to filter the relevant cost center/activity types. You can also use other fields eg. cost element, partner object, source object, value type, etc. to get your desired figures as per KSB1.
