Condition not working in the query.
Hello Gurus,
When I apply a condition and select the characterisitc assignment as "All characteristics in the drilldown independently", the report is not showing any records. When I apply to one or more characteristics it displays records but the output is not desired. I need to apply to all characteristics.
please help me in this regard.

Details about the option 'All Characteristics in Drilldown Independent'' :

This option generally work when you've got just one caracteristic.
the option 'Most Detailed Characteristic Along the Rows or Columns' doesn't work with the BEx Analyser.
So, You should use the last option 'Single Characteristics and Characteristic Combinations'...and you must select a combinaison of caracteristic which define a Key. (like a database).
These caracteristics must be display in your report...else your condition will have the status 'Variant' (and won't work).
This way work properly....

Why is the GROUP BY clause not working in my Query?
Dear All,
Below is the Query for a Summary Debtors Aged Analysis.
The GROUP BY clause does not seem to be working.
The Query returns all the unpaid invoices, instead of a single total row for each Customer.
If a Customer X has 10 unpaid invoices, 10 rows are displayed - one for each invoice.
I was expecting only 1 row for Customer X, 1 for Customer Y, etc.
This is what GROUP BY is supposed to do, but it is not doing its work.
What has gone wrong?

Once I understand the problem, I can adapt your query to suit my requirements
So, let's start with a clean slate:
The Query you have posted is for a DETAILED Debtors Aging Report.
This lists all outstanding invoices, and ages them in the Age Brackets.
What I want is a SUMMARY Debtors Aging Report.
This will give the total amount owed by each Customer, and this amount is broken down in the Age Bracket Columns
There will be a single row listed for each customer, something like this:
Customer Total Due Current 1 Mth 2 Mth 3 Mth etc
Alfred 500,000 300,000 200,000
Charles 800,000 100,000 300,000 400,000
How can you modify your query to make it become a Summary Report (1 line for each customer even if he has many invoices)?

I am adding the folling condition to a sql statement and

but the or condition work...

then this portion of the OR condition work but when I use the OR condition something weird is happening that the condition not working... and i dont see a record that meets that condition...Hi,
It's not the "trim" that implies "not null", but rather the fact that:
- "not like" operator works only on non-null values and
- "not like" operator disregards null values.
Consider this:

As for your query, do the following conditions hold true:
1. if status_code is null - show the row regardless of order_type
2. if status_code <> 'T' - show the row regardless of order_type
3. if status_code in (a,b,c,d) and order_type is not null and order_type ends with something other than 9999 - show the row
4. if status_code in (a,b,c,d) and order_type is null - do not show the row
5. if status_code in (a,b,c,d) and order_type is not null and it ends with 9999 - do not show the row
6. if status_code is anything other than (a,b,c,d) - do not show the rowpratz -
Condition not working if Part Number is not included in result

Please assist with the following?
A user wants to display a summary of values for different key figures on all Parts belonging to certain vehicle categories. One of the key figures (KF1) must only display values > (greater than) u20180u2019. He does not want the Part number to display in the report, but KF1 must be based on the individual values of the parts, example if Part V001 has amounts u201C-R200.00u201D, u201CR10.00u201D and R20.00u201D, the summary total to be displayed in the result must = u201CR30.00u201D. (u201C-R200.00u201D must not be included)
I have created a condition on this key figure (KF1) where I indicated the value > 0. When I run the query, the condition does not work on the summary of data, it still includes the values < (smaller than) u20180u2019.
Is there a way I can display the correct values?

CjI am not sure if I understood your problem correctly. But to me seems like your problem can be solved at aggregates. I didnt understand your problem correctly, but let me put some pieces together and see of that helps you.
Lets say you have 3 different KFs.
KF1__KF2__KF3
-200__10___20
100___20___20
Now if you create a fourth KF (CKF), you dont want to consider the negative values of KF1. Meanging CKF should display 30 and NOT -190.
If that is the case for KF1, only, you can create one CKF1 which will calculate either 0 (if KF1 value is less than 0) or the KF1 value (if KF1 value is > 0). After this, your scenario will be,
CKF1 = (KF1 > 0)*KF1+0
KF1__CKF1_KF2__KF3
-200____0____10___20
100__100_____20___20
After that create second CKF2 to sum CKF1 + KF2 + KF1
KF1__CKF1__KF2__KF3__CKF2
-200_____0___10___20____30
100____100___20___20____140
Now if your problem is that if part is not part of query result, you sitll want to perform this calculation at part level. In that case, you can create an exception aggregation for CKF2 as part level. So, even if part no is not in query, the calculation will be performed at part no level.

Well for a start, you are doing some very strange conversions there. For example...

and to_char(a.msd, 'MM/DD/YYYY') != '10/10/2030'If a.msd is a date then you should e converting on the other side ie.

After I installed mountain lion my back button frequently does not work because the prior screen does not appear iunder History. Apple tech support was not able to fix the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

XI - Receiver Determination Condition not working
I created a Condition on my Receiver Determination to stop some messages from being sent based on a field in our message.
It works when using some test tools (workbench, SOAPUI, etc) but not when coming from our MDM system. The beginning of the input message looks like what is listed at the bottom of this message(and it works).
But when coming from MDM the one node looks like this - there is no colon ( after the xmlns.

the sending system is not able to add the colon.
Does anyone know why the colon matters and what we can do to get around it in XI ??

Tap on the event to open the event. Click the 'Edit' button in the event bubble, then press the 'Delete Event' button at the bottom of the Edit pop-up. It's a little different for events that come through Microsoft Exchange, you tap the event to bring up bubble and click the 'Details' button, and then press 'Decline' to remove the event.

When I update my iPhone 4S to iOS six Facebook does not work properly the newsfeed doesn't load properly and I can never see what's going on all I see is a picture of an antenna and a little thing underneath it says no new stories when I reset my phone back to iOS 5 then it works just fine and I don't have any issues so there must be something wrong with iOS six that isn't letting Facebook load properly
No I did not use any unauthorized methods for anything, I simply reset my phone back to factory.

iphone 4: Home Button Not Working. The home button only works when it is connected to iTunes, once i disconnet it does not work, i have tried a restore to factory settings but it still is not working. Any suggestions?
Apple, as I said, does not repair your iPhone. All hardware service issues are handled by replacing the unit. So they can't handle the home-button issue without also addressing the issue of the cracked screen, for which they'll almost certainly charge you. But you can make an appointment at an Apple Store or call Apple tech support and plead your case.

I have a Macbook and iPhone and like to back up to iCloud. However, my work computer runs Outlook 2003, which I know will not work with the iCloud. The company has no plans to update anytime soon. Since the calendar and contact list on my office computer are my primay ones, I hard sync through iTunes. The problem is that any data synced from Outlook 2003 to the iPhone from iTunes does NOT later backup to iCloud. Is there a solution?
I have the same problem with Outlook 2003 and Win XP which the multinational organisation I work for standardises on and will probably stay with forever!

I have seral email accounts on my Mac. One does not work on the Mac but works on my iPad and iPhone. The account information was added on the Mac. I keeps rejecting my password.
You don't input the information in manually for iCloud mail. It is automatically set up for you when you sign into iCloud via System Preferences and choose the Mail checkbox. Sign out of iCloud or deselect Mail in iCloud preferences. Open Mail's preferences and choose accounts tab. If iCloud account still exists in the list, delete it. Sign back into iCloud or check the box for mail. The account will be auto created for you.
