Conect Peoplesoft to Genesys with Activex OCX

Dear All, we need to conect Peoplesoft to Genesys but because the high level of customizations that was implemented in Genesys we would like to create an Activex OCX and plug the JSMCAPI to OCX. Is it possible? Is there an example for we use?

Hi Matt,
Ensure that your adapters are configured correctly. To do so, click on Configure Menu Option and select Adapters. Click on "ActiveX/COm" and click Configure. Ensure that the checkbox for "Show ActiveX Controls when Specifying a Module" is checked.
You should be able to see all the activeX controls registered on the system, when you specify the module for your activeX step.
Hope this helps.

  • How to list all currently open Excel files with ActiveX?

    Hello all!
    I would like to program with ActiveX a way to retrieve a list (array of strings) of the filenames of the currently opened Excel files in windows. However, I am fairly new to the ActiveX/Excel business in LV and after hours looking at the "millions" of objects in the property nodes I give up and hope some kind soul here can help me. I couldn't find any information in this forum regarding the same issue, although some were close
    I am using LV 7.1 without the Report Generation Toolkit.
    Thanks!
    /Goran

    Hi KC,
    thanks for your reply. I have in fact been able to find the desired things in the ActiveX properties/methods for Excel in LabView. It took me some looong work going through the functions which I suspected to be the ones. Anyway, I post a little jpeg here of the code if someone ever needs the same functionality. What it does is that it checks how many Excel workbooks are open and controls if each of them matches the searched Excel filename, if one does, it is closed.
    Enjoy
    /Goran

  • Problems with ActiveX Callbacks in LabVIEW 7

    Have encountered an interesting problem with ActiveX "Reg Event Callback" in LV7 (WinXP):
    In a nutshell, when a lot of events fire in rapid succession, the user-interface locks up.
    The events still fire, and the front panel controls update, but the front panel will not respond to clicks. Interestingly, if the block diagram is open, you can stop it and turn on execution highlighting, etc...
    - I've discovered that the problem we're encountering is related to multiple events firing before the (reentrant) callback VI has finished executing from the 1st event.
    - by watching the Performance data in task manager, and tracking the # of handles used by LabVIEW, I find that when this happens, the # of handles increases, b
    ut never decreases until you stop the VI
    - I would expect several (nearly) instantaneous events to launch multiple copies of that callback VI, and I can believe that would increase the # handles, but I would expect that LabVIEW would catchup shortly thereafter and the # handles would return to its starting count.
    As an aside, using the old ActiveX event and callback method with the exact same version of the activeX control does not have this problem, events just queue up and then fire appropriately.
    Anyone seen anything like this?
    Anyone (NI guys) have any ideas?
    Follow up question (NI guys): when will the support for the old ActiveX event stuff dry up?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
    The error message warns about the use of three ActiveX Event VIs that will no longer be supported in future versions of Labview. Following version 6 of Labview, the use of ActiveX Event VIs is shifting to the use of Register Event Callback VI instead. In looking at your screenshots, I did not see any use of the older ActiveX Event VIs. If possible, try attaching the actual VI to the post and I will take a look at that.
    At least in terms of support, phone support currently exists for Labview 6 and 7. With the release of Labview 8, support for Labview 6 will slowly be phased out. In this case, phone support for the ActiveX Event VIs will no longer continue as they are no longer included in the versions of Labview for
    which phone support is provided. However, Discussion Forums and web-based resources would be your best venue of support for those features.
    I would strongly recommend that you migrate to replacing ActiveX Event VIs to using the Register Event Callback VI. The following is a KnowledgeBase article describing the transition of ActiveX in Labview:
    Migrating from the ActiveX Event VIs to Using the Register Event Callback Node
    Also, are you using the Automation Open/Close VIs? These two VIs will allow acquire/release informatio nof the ActiveX object. I have attached a couple example programs that are included in Labview to help demonstrate this concept.
    Hope this helps!

  • WebUtil with ActiveX

    Can webUtil used to deploy form with activeX control (Image capture ActiveX control). hope to find a demo form

    What do you do with the active/X is it embedded in your Forms UI or are you just calling to it using OLE2 package to activate the image capturing?
    The second option will work with WebUtil.

    Hi,
    It seems that you are having issue with Crystal reports Java SDK's.
    Post your question in [Crystal Reports Java SDK forum|SAP Crystal Reports, version for Eclipse;.
    That forum is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there. Also, all Java SDK queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.
    Thank you for your understanding,

  • Help with ACTIVEX Crystal Reports

    I have been using Crystal in my app since 2001; We had stabilized over the years with RAS 9.0 and the ActiveX viewer.
    Now I am migrating to Business Objects XI R2. and I cant use the ActiveX viewer (because i am using RAS to change the report source...)
    So i am stuck with the rest of the world with the .NET free viewer.
    OK- it stinks but OK.
    everything is cool until time to print.
    My users are HATING the PDF printing that is standard .
    So we turned on ACTIVEX printing.
    My users are having a devil of a time downloading the proper controls.
    Now- if i put the site in my trusted sites- all is good- but this is crazy.
    The ActiveX control can load to the clients machine.
    It affects all OS/ all levels of access (Admins too)
    It is a browser issue ;
    I have about 20% of my (20,000 daily) users who are being affected by this .. So we quickly go back to PDF (for now)
    Anyone else having trouble with ActiveX Crystal XI download for PRINTING only?
    I know that we used to distribute npviewer.exe under my old RAS 9 days to Admins who had network consideration. I'd hate to have to contact 20,000 people and say "hey ; remember all that trouble we had getting Crystal Reports to run on your machine....well....we kinda upgraded....and...well....we are gonna have to do it again.....sorry"
    HELP!!
    I am looking for:
    1) best practices
    2) what is min requirements for the activex printing.
    3) a possible download (like npviewer.exe)

  • With Crystl32.ocx Error 20599 and 20000

    Hi all,
    first of all Im working with VB6, CR8 and SQL 2005; we still work with the old Crystl32.ocx to generate some reports, and seems that some clients have issues with the Reports that have subreports in it; as example I have one report with 13 Subreports in it; our client reported an error, the "Error 20599 - Cannot open SQL Server", so I tought that the subreports had to connect too; As soon as I tried this:
      With MDI1.CrystalReport1
            .ReportFileName = "C\:"Epi.rpt"
            .Connect = "DSN:myDSN;Trusted_Connection=Yes"
            For i = 0 To .GetNSubreports - 1
                .SubreportToChange = .GetNthSubreportName(i)
                .Connect = "DSN:myDSN;Trusted_Connection=Yes"
                .SubreportToChange = ""
            Next i
        End With
    to connect my subreports, the client and locally reported the "Error 20000 - No Error";
    is there any help paper for that error?

    Ok,
    1- I tried your code for "Using a Trusted connection or Integrated Security with the OCX at runtime" and leave it like this
        With MDI1.CrystalReport1
            .ReportFileName = "C:\Epi.rpt"
            .Connect = "DSN=myDSN; UID = ; PWD = "
        End With
    and didnt work.
    2- I just realized that I had an ODBC called myDSN, I renamed it and boom "Error 20599 - Cannot open SQL Server"; now somehow Im happy with this, now I can test it locally, but still I dont know what to do from here.
    Thanks for replying.
    PD: Also I tried the RPT
         - without any SubReport, it worked 100%
         - 2 SubReports with only formulas in it, it worked 100%
         - 2 SubReports with only formulas in it and 1 subReport with tables in it, it failed 200%
    so it seems like connection is not propaging or Im doing it in the wrong place?

  • Call ActiveX (OCX, DLL) in Adobe JavaScript

      Hi,
        I want to create a new instance for custom ActiveX (OCX, DLL) in JavaScript for Adobe, how can I do it?
        Calling functions CreateObject("MyOCX.document") or ActiveXObject("MyOCX.document") does not work.

    Ok, thank you.
      Is it possible to call an external program from custom menu item?

  • Activex (.ocx) file does not install unless installed through Internet Explorer

    Please fix this Adobe... I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out why it was not installing the activex (.ocx) file when I installed it through firefox or chrome. Low and behold if you install it through Internet Explorer than it installs the activex file. Other programs use the activex (.ocx) file.

    It doesn't matter if you download the installers from Firefox, or IE, or whatever browser.
    There are two installers:
    one for IE that installs the ActiveX control
    one for other browsers that installs the plugin
    You can download the offline installers from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#Ins tall_in_a_firewall_proxy_server_environment
