Configuring FXO Line

Hi,
I have a CCME 4.2 installed on a 2821 Router and FXO connected to it. I had connected PSTN line on the FXO.
dial-peer voice 10 pots
destination-pattern 9........
port 0/3/0..
I am unable to make outgoing/ incoming calls. pls help....

Hi Pradeep,
What number are you dialing for outbound calls? Should that call go out of dial-peer 10?
This link shows a sample configuration of configuring a CME router to allow basic inbound and outbound calls.
Configuring SCCP Phones for Making Basic Calls:

If after configuring everything you still have the problem, post your updated configuration, as well as the output of debug voip ccapi inout, collected while recreating the problem.
Hope this help.
Regards,
Michael.

  • 4 FXO lines on a 504G

So I have setup the UC320 with 4 FXO trunk lines and deployed 12 504G phones. I assumed since they are 4 line phones that they would be able to see all 4 trunk lines at the same time.
Upon getting everything configured I have discovered that the first programmable button seems to be permanently assigned to the users personal extension. Which leaves only 3 remaining buttons for shared FXO lines. So I was forced to make the 4th trunk line a hunt group with all the phones.
It's such a simple setup I'm surprised the 4 line IP phones can only actually monitor 3 of the shared trunks leaving the 4th working but hidden from view. There doesn't appear to be anyway to change or remove the first button from being the personal extension button, which I find to be redundant.
All I would like is to have the phone monitor/display the status of all 4 trunk lines on the phone. Any help for this situation? Maybe I'm overlooking something obvious here?

    Adam,
You are correct, even in Key System Mode the UC320W assigns an extension on the first line button. This allows for internal dialing between users without utilizing a Shared FXO line.
The other 3 line buttons can programmed via the UC320W.
The SPA504G is a 4 line phone and can be configured with multiple SIP based call control systems, when used with UC320W then the phone allows for 3 user programmable line buttons.

    Randy

  • More than 8 FXO lines on the UC540

    Hi,
I am looking for possible solutions for adding an additional FXO line to a UC540 as well. Mine already has the additional VIC2-4FXO module and all FXO ports are used. From reading the Manuals, Release Notes, and Forums, it sounds like the 8800 will only support additional FXS ports. I have not found a solid answer as to why that is. It seems like it would be a hardware/platform overload issue for the UC540 to support more than 8 FXO lines. Is this assumption accurate or is there something we can do about it?

I appreciate your prompt response. I know what ISDN BRI and PRI signaling is.  However I am not sure I understand your response.  Could you please elaborate on what you mean by "upgrade to ISDN PR".

  • How to configure near-line storage for BI archiving?

I have searched the web but failed to find any info.
Would you please provide some link or blog here?  Thanks!

    Hi Diana,
If you solved your problem then Please tell how to configure Near Line Storage Connection. currently we have SAP BW 7.3 and Database Oracle 11. Do we need to install any NLS addon/Database or any setting we need to do at Database level to enable NLS in sap bw as i read some were that we need same third party tool for this.

  • FXO line in use voltage

I have an incoming POTS line connection to an FXO port on a 1760 gateway. This POTS line is only providing -24 voltage rather than the normal -48 voltage. This seems to be preventing the FXO interface on the router from sending DTMF that is acceptable to the POTS line. I have read that I need to change the FXO line in use voltage on the gateway to a lower value in order to allow DTMF to pass correctly to the POTS line. Does anyone know how to change the FXO line in use voltage, or know if it is possible to convert the -24 to -48 between the FXO port and POTS line?
    Thank you,

Nick, to my knowledge the router never detects dial-tone, although the vpm debug print a string to that effect.
What the router does for outgoing calls, is detecting current loop after going off-hook. So for example when the FXO port is not connected, you are able to tell, again by looking at the output of debug vpm signal.
Instead, for incoming calls, router detects AC ring current and goes off-hook without further check.
So if my theory here is that the attached equipment is not providing correctline voltage or loop current, if I'm correct the proof would be identical output of "debug vpm singal", either with the line connected, or disconnected.

  • How to configure multiple line appearance in IP Phone 7931

hi everybody, in this moment i try to configure a cisco IP Phone 7931 with multilple line appearance in a CCM 6.1.2, for example: button1 ptn1:dn 6512; button2 ptn2:dn 6512; button3 ptn3:dn 6512 and more, because i found that in this phone does not capture all calls and you can not select which one answer, due to the second call grind the first call, please any commentary thank you in advance.

    Hi
I am sorry to inform you that we do not support UCM questions on this forums. Please try Netpro as an option:

  • Configurator Assigning Line Type in Sales Order

    Hello!
Our business needs certain items on a PTO configuration to populate on the sales order lines with a specific line type.
    Example:
Part # X BOM Sales Model
    - Part # A Option Class
    - Part # 123 Needs line type with workflow for 'Line Flow - Generic'
    - Part # B Option Class
    - Part # 567 Needs line type with workflow for 'Line Flow - Return for no-credit
    with Receipt'
From having read some of the documentation, it seems that this might be possible by using Configurator Extension Rules...
Has anyone successfully populated line types on the sales order through the configurator?
    Thanks!!
    Lacey

    Hi Lacey,
    The answer is yes, but...
The Oracle Telecommunications Service Ordering (TSO) flow has this capability, where an extension (CX) supplied by Oracle Development writes out line type data. The line type assignments are specified using a set of specific properties and values. You can look at Document B14384-01 for more details, and Metalink Note 333976.1 for the source code for the extension.
However, I suspect you're not using the TSO flow. And without that, you won't be able to use the code above and have everything just work. Order Management won't automatically populate the line types from the configuration results for non TSO models (also known as Container models).
I think you can emulate the approach, but you may need to both use a CX as well as a customization on the OM side. Rather than use the extension I mentioned above, you may be able to just generate the line types you want as attributes of the selected items. It depends on whether the line types are dynamic during your configuration session, or static - and bound to the selected item. If they're static, you don't need a CX, you just need a customization in OM to retrieve the line type from the item.
If they're dynamic, you could use the attributes CX to write out the line type you want for each selected item, then use the OM customization to retrieve the line type from the configured attributes. In either case, you need OM to pull the data.

  • Selective ringing of FXO lines on line share buttons

I have a customer that wants to have the UC540 emulate their existing Norstar KEY system.  They have 6 lines and 15 stations.  I have already setup and tested a hybrid KEY system in my lab with FXO's as shared lines https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-15755 .  This works fine.  The only problem is ican not select several phones to ring and several phones not to ring when a call comes in to the FXO trunk.  Either all the phones have to ring or all the phones are silent ring, not a mix of both.  Is there a way around this?  Perhaps in CLI.

You can comfigure individual phones sharing a DN, with 's' button for silent ring. Note this is a CLI command, I don't know and can't answer if that can be done using CCA.

  • FXO Line Hunting solution

    Hi,
My voice gateway is equipped with 8 FXO port hence 8 analogue lines. All numbers are being used for incoming and outgoing. For outgoing, one trunk group is fine to switch the line.
Now, if one user has established call outside on port 1. Simultaneously, outside caller calls that number and it gets busy tone resulting he has to wait. Any idea, that for incoming calls, if first port is busy then it can switch to other free line

    Hi
You can check the below , please. This is a trunk group which will make all ports as one trunk.
    voice-port 1/0/0
    trunk-group VoiceGroup
    voice-port 1/0/1
    trunk-group VoiceGroup
    voice-port 1/0/2
    trunk-group VoiceGroup
    voice-port 1/0/3
    trunk-group VoiceGroup
    dial-peer voice 100 pots
    trunkgroup VoiceGroup
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3/vvf_r/vrg_t1_ps1839_TSD_Products_Command_Reference_Chapter.html#wp1491022
Note: I think you have to check also with your ITSP , if this can be procced. ITSP should be able to do something like inorder calls based on the available ports. I think you can manage outgoing calls , but for incoming you have to check with ITSP.
    Thank you

  • Trying to configure dsl line on WLC as separate port not part of the LAG

I am trying to  configure   port 8  on the WLC 5508  to a  dsl line  that connects to a linksys  switch.  This is seperate from  primary port  which  is  configured as  LAG  and has the rest of the vlans.   I am not sure how best to achieve this.

The WLC SFP port will negotiate to only 1Gb and nothing less.  You'll need a GLC-TX module to enable to connect an ethernet cable from the Linksys to WLC.

  • Need Help Configuring Multiple Lines on SPA514G

We just transitioned to VOIP with the 3CX system. We've got SPA514G voip phones on Firmware 7.5.5. If a user is on a call, and another call comes in, the second line key doesn't do anything. I've tried some things in the phone's configuration web UI which didn't work, and I've tried reading the manual but I can't make sense of it because I'm very new with this.
What do I need to do to enable those keys to work for incoming calls? Let me know if there is any other information you need from me.

  • Split configured item lines for shipping

We use Configurator (CZ) and we're having trouble splitting a line for shipment. If we have 100 of the same configured item on line 1.1 in the sales order we are unable to ship just 10 of them and backorder or do anything else with the other 90. The system wants us to ship all 100 at once. We don't have this problem with non-configured items.
Any ideas? Metalink has been pretty worthless (as usual) in giving me any info.
    Thanks!

Has data for any other items got collected in M1? If not, then the problem could be your collection group or og-instance setup. Have you used the organization access screen in ASCP admin responsibility and granted access to M1 for your responsibiilty?
Is the item marked as planned in M1?

  • CCME FXO lines

    Hello --
I am having issues with my CCME dropping calls. A user will try to place a call but it'd drop before connecting. Then they press redial and it works fine. I'm currently suspecting that it's a supervisory disconnect issue and have added the following commands:
    supervisory disconnect anytone
    timeouts call-disconnect 5
    timeouts wait-release 5
I have a feeling that this is the way to go, any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Ohamien

    Hi,
sometimes it depends on the ISP. You should see the frequency behavior, and then create a customized voice class. You can record a phone call, and once you capture the audio of the disconnect frequency you can apply that measures to the configuration.
Firt delete the lines that you configured, because the supervisory disconnect anytone some times made me drop some phone calls too.
Try this example that worked fine for me.
Let me know if it works 4 u.
