Configuring the config.xml file path

Hi All,
I am calling a startWebLogic script from another script as 'root'.When the other script calls the startWebLogic script it is reading config.xml path as /opt/bea/./config.xml and is giving errors.
It is taking the default path as /opt/bea .Where should I specify the correct path.

Where can I find the config.xml file for my Edge project?

Basically, I am producing a very simple iPad app using Edge and PhoneGap Build. It's all good to go apart from the orientation - I want to be able to lock it to portrait. On researching, it appears that I need to specify the web build/app as portrait in the config.xml file - so where would I find this?

I am not familiar with the phonegap process but I suspect the file you should be attempting to modify is called manifest.xml.

I am trying to configure the log4j.xml file, so that i can get differnet logging messages based on the level to different log files. for ex: info messages in info.log, debug messages in debug.log and so on...i tried using the below...but, no luck.

I'm not 100% sure this is possible with log4j, but if it is then you've still got some errors in your log4j.xml file

The log4j jar includes a DTD. You can use the free version of XMLSpy to validate your log4j.xml file against it.

Configuring the Logconfig.xml file

I would like to configure the Logconfig.xml(for presentation services) so that the log file that is created is in the format of the log file that is generated by usage tracking(comma separated values) or store it directly to the table.

I will try to make it clearer:
The server I have access to runs Tomcat through Apache. The only way I can access files is if I put them under httdocs.
The question is quite simple: without having my clueless host remap everything, how can I access files in the Tomcat directory, where those files rightly belong?
There should be a simple way to do it in a web.xml file, but have been unsuccessful thus far.

Set up a read only group on the config.xml file through Admin console

I would like to set up a group which can use Admin console
(http://ip:7001/console).
However, this group cannot deploy, modify anything on the configuration. In
the document, I can add ACL lists. But how? The table of permission
function on the document is not clear. For example, there is no READ and
WRITE on the table in the Admin Server guide. Please help.
If I have guest enable on the Admin console. What is the user name and
password of a gest to use the Admin console?

Do you want to expose the Admin app on the same network as the managed app?
If not, just hide (black hole) the IP/port to the admin server.

can access it.

Problem with the config.xml

Dear all,
After doing a wscompile on the config.xml file (JWSDP1.6), I am able to generate the wsdl for the interface defined.
But now the config.xml shows an error
"Cannot find the declaration of element 'configuration' "
for the attribute xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jax-rpc/ri/config"
Any idea what is the problem as "http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jax-rpc/ri/config" is no longer available on the sun site.
Any alternate references to be made to this xml namespace declaration.

My point above is that Project 2007 was extremely buggy and unless files are saved using Project 2007 SP3 first you are likely to experience problems with the files when opening in project 2010. Project 2007 to 2010 with no service packs is problematic.
With SPs applied you should have far fewer problems.
Doesn't look like a exe with SP2 is available yet so you need to add the service pack separately, probably in the updates folder.
If all Project 2007 installs are already at SP3 then no need for this.

How to disable config.xml file reloading

Hi,
I changed the value of PreferWebInfClasses in my config.xml with the weblogic.admin SET command. I restart my saerver, everything works fine... But then, two/three minutes after deploying my web app, I got a <Configuration changes for domain saved to the repository.> in my weblogic.log and the config.xml file is restored from I don't know where without the PreferWebInfClasses set to true.
Anyone has an Idea ?

Are you using 6.1sp3 or 7.0?
Is there any reason why u r using SET Command
You can enable this option via console. This will persist the property

Unfortunately I don't have the
"org.eclipse.swt.win32.win32.x86_3.1.2.jar" file. On my computer
the folder is not set up the same way (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex
Builder 2\plugins) instead it is set up as (C:\Program
Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 2\metadata\plugins) but I've looked in
everything and that file just isn't in there. I've re downloaded it
twice. Still not there. Is there anything else i can do.

How to specify the webLogic server startup script to use different config.xml file ??

Hi,
I have 2 weblogic startup scripts (startWebLogic.sh and
startWebLogic_recovery.sh) for the same domain.
startWebLogic.sh uses config.xml file.
I would like to use config_recovery.xml as the configuration file for startWebLogic_recovery.sh
How would I do this ?
I am using WebLogic Server 6.1 on SunOS 5.8 / HP-UX 11.0.
Appreciate any help.

I guess you're using Weblogic 6.1 with WLCS 3.5. I think you're supposed to work with one config.xml for the same domain, and not have a different config.xml.
To start up different applications or EJBs, use the "target" property to control which applications to start up for the particular instance.

I have two lines with [action path="/unitsView"]. The reason why is that I want the user to go to the form create screen for the create button and form edit screen for the edit button. If this does not work, it seems to mean that only a single screen can be used for create/edit functions. However, the ADF editor diagram looks perfectly to point to create.uix and edit.uix respectively.
Please shed some light.

Error after reload the standard XML file in UWL Configuration Wizard

      Try doing the following:
     1. Upload the new Standard XML file from the another portal server with same support version or replace the changes u made to original and upload
     2. Remove the cache
    3. Register for all systems
    4. preview the UWL iView.
