Hi All,
Was evaluating a rule that says confirm at loc B entirely while order is at loc A. All basic settings.Rule control for location is forward from input and cyclic, product is forward from input, no restrictions on qualified prod and loc, combination sequence is combine qualified loc with products first..then qualified prod with loc, union combination. Rule is correcly evaluated and determined but confirmation is still happening at original location.
Check instruction is to evaluate rule immediately .. no remaining requirements created.
Any hints as to what I might be probably missing

Too old a question I note while googling some similar stuff. Since this was generic question and I happen to test the same sort of stuff thought of posting for everyone's benefit in future.
The rule evaluation always creates two set of lists of locations and products based on the procedures defined.
For controlling the output you have these additional settings.
e.g. in your case you can specifiy the values for qualified location and qualified product. Following options exist.
Input location or product (of sales order)
First location or product in the location and product subs procedure resp.
no restriction (let system find out)
If no restriciton is selected then you must specify the combination sequence and the type of combination.
You would need to evaluate with various combinations of inventory of P1 at L1 and L2 as the results may not be conclusive and predcitable always. Access strategy of location and products often controls the results in conjucntion. So test cases need to be built the establish veracity of the logic.
e.g. Start from top of list as access strategy for location with qualified location as start location will always confirm the product at start location of procedure whether or not inventory is available at input location. This also depends on the checking horizon (of maintained), when the order is requested relative to check date.
For your case you can explore "consolidation" location as an option. system creates STR's to the consolidation location.. whether or not consol location (L2) had the ATP quantiy to begin with.
Other settings like complete delivery at order header and max. part deliveries at item level etc. also influences the result of the evaluaiton.

IDOC inbound: delivery confirm - set storage location at position

Hi all,
I have the issue to set with an inbound IDOC for shipping confirmation the storage location on item level. We are working with an external logistic provider so the final storage location where the goods are taken from is not not at creation time of the delivery. We have two possible storage locations.
EDI message type SDPICK cannot be used, there is no place for the storage location information LGORT.
So we tried SHPCON with process code DELV. FM: IDOC_INPUT_DELVRY
The field is in the IDOC type DELVRY03 but it is not used.
Do you have any idea how we could set the storage location on item level in the delivery with an incoming shipping / picking confirmation idoc?

Mailbox database recovery to alternate location

Hi, i'm trying to write a script to automatically restore an exchange mailbox database to an alternate location
I am using

I seem to also encounter this issue. Basically I am trying to do the same thing, automate a restore of a mailbox database to an offsite storage location for DR purposes. Seems to fail with the null error too. The only difference is I am using DPM 2012 R2
with Exchange 2013.
Here is my script:

how do i save an existing document(pages) in an alternate location in OS X Lion version of pages, which gives versions, but has removed the "save as" which gives another option for relocation of files to another folder?

There is an additional step. To get to the old Save As… dialog box you need File > Duplicate then File > Save…

In confirmation, after i confirm op10 for 10 ea, i confirm
Case A: op20 - 4 ea (Final confirmation), op11 - 3ea (Partial)
system proposal for op30 is 8ea
Case B: op20 - 4 ea (Partial), op11 - 3ea(Partial)
System proposal for op30 is 6ea
why it is not proposing 7 ea for op30.

RMAN restore from alternate location

Have anybody tried that - running rman restore from an alternate location?
I mean when the server location specified in backup script is lost (but you have your backups on tape).
Or one just needs to recreate identical location?

1. Copy the backupset/backuppices to /db1/backup/MYDB
2. If the database is in archivelog mode, and u have the current controlfile use it.if not use the backup controlfile.
3. mount the db.
4. connect to rman
RMAN> catalog backuppieces 'db1/backup/MYDB/bkpiece_name';
Do it for all the backup pieces...If suppose u have 5 backuppieces then write the above command for all the 5 pieces replacing the bkpiece_name.
5. run the restore database command on rman prompt.
6. Apply archives manually/ or if are present in the same loaction u can do with rman.

EdWeidman by default the download will be saved to your Download folder. I do not know the exact name of the file which was provided to you.

The condition table creation /SAPAPO/CND in SCM7.0 SP6 created the condition table with this message that needed correction with note 1506390 (delievred with SP9). This then made the condition record find its rule after I created a new cond table with the record. Initially this was not happening.

Need to install to an alternate location than C-drive

I have a small (40GB) Solid-State as my C-drive. Very fast, but I need to keep it cleaned off or I crash when sleeping or hibernating.
How do I install (or move) FF onto my E-drive?
Also, will future upgrades go back on C:, or will they detect the new location?

How can I backup my e-mail folders to an alternate location?

I would like to be able to make a copy of my e-mail folders. I could then use these folders to restore my e-mails in case of a system crash. They only thing I have been able to determine that they seem to be in a folder AppData under my login name. But the folder seems to be hidden or something because it does not show up. How can I access them and make a copy. Furthermore, how can I copy them back in case of a recovery?

There is an add-on to TB which allows import and export of emails in various formats to a separate storage medium (external disk, thumb drive, etc.).

Problem -How to figure out "message could not be saved" alternate location?

Hmmmm.... what could be causing this?
Does Mail or the computer do an 'auto-save' somewhere when I get the message "The message could not be saved." It's very frustrating as I don't know how to tell if a message has gone, or who it's gone to. It only starting doing this recently; any possible solutions?
I checked autosave (not there). Any other place to look?
I'm concerned because I did not want an email to reply to cc: all and I may have done that unintentionally. Any way to tell if I have egg on my face?

And if yes to both, you are storing Drafts and Sent messages on the server?
If so, your account in Mail is not sometimes synched with the .Mac server - all server stored mailboxes in Mail are automatically synchronized with the server when first launching Mail when connected to the internet and there is no way to turn this off. And when selecting a server stored mailbox in the mailboxes drawer, the selected mailbox is re-synchronozed with the server.
The error message provided does not include or involve the account's Drafts mailbox - it is the account's server stored Sent mailbox only and successfully sent messages are not being saved on the server?

Rman backup to alternate location

we do daily backups to fra on disk(ASM) using rman. There is a special requiremtn to take a full backup to an nfs mount say "/spl/rman" accessibile from the node .
How do i achieve this?

Issues when trying to setup alternate sync location of OneDrive for Business / SharePoint 2013 Libraries

I have an issue that prevents me from choosing the alternate location of sync'ed OneDrive for Business folders. I'm trying to setup an alternate location for synchronization, using the guidelines found in the Office support web site.
The option to replace the default sync location appears the first time a SharePoint 2013 Library or OneDrive for Business is setup for synchronization.

At this point, the Library or personal OneDrive folder syncs correctly and the files are stored in the alternate choosen location.
However, on when trying to setup an additionnal Library for synchronization, the alternate sync location has not been saved and reverts to the default sync location. Furthermore, the option to replace the default sync location does no longer appear
on the dialog box.

I have tried by first sync'ing a SharePoint 2013 Library (instead of the personal OneDrive for Business folder) with the same result. Meaning that the first SharePoint 2013 Library correctly sync's in the alternate location of my choosing. However,
any subsequent attempts to sync either a SharePoint 2013 Library or the OneDrive for Business folder results in them being sync'ed to the original default location in a folder under the user's profile directory.
I'm using Office Professional Plus 2013 (64bits). The version of Groove.exe is 15.0.4605.1000 (12th March 2014 - 13 383 360 bytes).
Is there something I'm missing ?

You can change the root path for libraries you sync to your computer, though you can do this only if you’re not currently syncing any libraries. If you’re already syncing at least one library and you want to change the path, you must first
stop syncing all libraries. Then, the first time you run the OneDrive for Business wizard to sync a library to your computer, you’ll see an option to change the location.

How do you make an wizard install into alternate root location???

Is there a switch or environment variable that I can set before firing off an install script to cause the package to install in an alternate location for the patches and packages being installed? I am trying to use live upgrade to create a clone of my booted OS (Solaris-8) and then wish to add the Gnome package to the alternate boot image. Bringing up the installation wizard always wants to put it in the root partition but I want to do the effect of the '-R /a' switch to patchadd and pkgadd. How can I accomplish this when the installation scripts are on CD-ROM?

do you have room to just through the cd contents onto a hard disk then edit the script as needed?

                 I have an issue in APO.i have a stock of 360 for material m1.when i tried to create a sales order in r/3 the apo confirming 324 for first time.But when i tried to create another sales order again apo is confirming 324 for second time.Again i tried to create another sales order again APO is confirming 324 which is totally wrong.it has to confirm 0 for that particular order.

Strange, Unless you see a blank APO screen.
Just see the following.
-The order created is for a BOM item but the check is happening for a component.
-RBA is active and ATP is confirming the component which is available in plenty at the same/another locaton.
-If there are substituiton procedures mainatined within RBA and some other product is confirmed.
-If there is a material determination happening at the order document level and that is getting confirmed because stocks/receipts are available
-The material is available at an alternate location and a location determindation procedure is maintained in the rule maintenance.
-Product interchangability is active at global master data level. .and made valid for ATP and is active but may be you have not taken note of it
i.e you are probably checking for the stock of original product at original locaiton and that is not availalble but by virtue of BOM, or MDIC or Rules based ATP check confirmation is happening.
Dont see any other reasons.
Pay special attention to the receipt /requiremens tabs in scope of check. Do you see zero figures there ?
In that case some combination of business event and check mode is not calling GATP..
