Confirmation box(popup) before event

Hi,
I am using epcm eventing to pass the entire table data from VC to a table in web dynpro. Now, I want to show a confirmation box in VC which would enable the user to decide if the event should be fired or not. If the user clicks on 'OK' then the event should be fired and data would be available in web dynpro, if 'NO' is chosen, the event would not be fired. I tried quite a few things to make this work but unfortunately every time, I am unable to get the contents of the entire table when the user chooses OK.
Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Prathamesh

Worked it out with a crude solution.
I am now invoking a table view to perform as a confirmation box. The table view has all the columns hidden, the title contains the alert message and the toolbar consists of two buttons yes and no. The purpose of using the table view as a confirmation box was that I wanted the contents of the entire table to be sent to a webydnpro application. Now, when I raise an event on the table(contains results), I have used used the output as the input to the confirmation box(table view) but it doesnt display the results to the user based on the logic explained above. When the user clicks on Yes, I fire a signal out with mapping scope as all data rows which is caught by the webdynpro application.

Prathamesh

  • Bookmark confirmation box

    We have a course in Captivate-6 with few content slides and then a Quiz with few questions. We want to show a bookmark confirmation box (popup with OK and Cancel) when the course is launched from LMS so that user can resume from the last visited page. But in case user has left from any question slide of Quiz then it should jump to first question of the Quiz.
    Please guide us on this.  Thanks.

    This is really a functionality of the LMS, not of Captivate, when you launch it on the LMS. And it means that the user will be navigated on a next session to the last slide he visited, if 'Never send resume data' is not checked.

  • Confirm box or alert box need twice click

    I  recently install safari on my Window XP System. I use it to visit a web site,if there is a button can popup a confirm box,I need to click[OK] twice to close it. Then I write a HTML page with javascript to test it.
    when I  write the javascript function confirm() or alert() in the  onload() event,it works well,click once and it's closed.
    but when I write the javascript function confirm() or alert() in a button click event, I need to click twice to close it.
    I think it's a bug, and I have no idea to deal with it.
    By the way,My safari version is 5.0.4
    How to fix it? anybody who can help me?

    Dear Carolyn,thanks for your reply.
    but, our customer don't want to update the safari version recently.
    anybody who is interesting in this problem can run the simple program  just by opening the html file by safari.
    create a file named test1.html
    CODE:
    <html>
    <body onload="confirm('OK?');">
    </body>
    </html>
    test result: It works well,  the confirm box is clicked once  and  closed.
    create a flie named test2.html
    CODE:
    <html>
    <body>
    <input type="button"  value="test" onclick="confirm('ok')" />
    </body>
    </html>
    test result: the confirm box need click twice  to  close.

  • Confirmation in DA before refresh of a PPR region

    Apex 4.1.1.00.23
    I am working with an app that I am upgrading from v3.2 to 4.1.1.00.23 and I have a page/region that had some javascript in it that I am trying to move away from manual JS and into dynamic actions.
    The region in question is a tabular form with PPR turned on and the problem I'm having is that I wish to check if any of the checkboxes are checked and if so, display a confirmation message to the user before the region paginates. I want that if the user does NOT press OK to the confirmation that the pagination is cancelled.
    So I have a DA as:
    1. Before refresh of my region
    2. Conditional based on javascript expression (I have my own JS on the region that checks if any checkboxes are checked and it does work for sure) that checks if at least one checkbox is checked.
    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
    function verifyCheckboxes()
      var checkboxes=document.getElementsByName('f01');
      if (checkboxes==null)
        return(false);
      else
        var vBoxChecked=false;
        for (var i=0;i<checkboxes.length;i++)
          if(checkboxes.checked)
    vBoxChecked=true;
    break;
    return(vBoxChecked);
    </script>
    3. If any are checked, prompt the user with the confirmation "are you sure you want to leave this page?". This action is defined as type "confirm".
    4. If the user presses cancel, the page should not continue.
    Steps 1-3 work fine. Step 4 doesn't happen...no matter what the user chooses (OK or cancel), the region paginates.
    I have worked with confirmations before on "before page submit" and it works like this...cancellilng in the confirmation box cancells the submission. I figured this would work similarly with "before refresh" of a region, but it does not.
    Is this an Apex bug that the confirmation OK/Cancel always allows the region to refresh (different behavior than with a confirmation used before page submit)?
    Ideas on another soution for what I'm trying to do?

    Well I guess the situation is that "before refresh" fires after the signal to refresh the region has been heard by the server.
    In other words, when I paginate through the region, I click the link to paginate, it wants to refresh but encounters my DA that fires before the region actually refreshes. This is fine. My code fires correctly and prompts "are you really sure...?". Problem is, the answer from the confirmation is ignored (either OK or cancel permits the pagination to continue).
    When I've used a confirmation with a "before page submit" in this same manner, answering "cancel" to the confirmation would also abort the submit process.
    So I want the same sort of "cancel" action to abort the region refresh in this case, but seems like it's ignored.

  • Combo box popup width adjusting no longer work in 1.0.6_26-b03

    Previously, I was able to adjusting combo box popup's width, by referring to the technique described in [http://tips4java.wordpress.com/2010/11/28/combo-box-popup/|http://tips4java.wordpress.com/2010/11/28/combo-box-popup/]. During that time, I was using 1.0.6_24-b07.
    However, after I update my Java runtime to 1.0.6_26-b03, things broke.

    [http://www.jroller.com/santhosh/entry/make_jcombobox_popup_wide_enough|http://www.jroller.com/santhosh/entry/make_jcombobox_popup_wide_enough]
    The popup's is having enough width to show all items. However, it is not perfect still, as the width is little too much. I still can see some extra space at the tailing of the list.
    The workaround is as follow.
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.util.Vector;
    // got this workaround from the following bug:

  • How can I prevent the open/save file confirmation window popup ? Mine is currently set for "always do this action" but I still get the popup.

    Whenever I "export" a QIF file from my bank I get a File Action confirmation window popup. I have the correct application selected and I have it selected to "open" and "always do this action" but the popup always pops.
    I have checked the applications tab and the correct application is selected.
    How can I prevent the confirmation popup window please ?

    Cheers for the reply.
    I have deleted the rdf file but no difference. I still get the opening file box popup.
    From the resetting download actions link. Both lines in the about:config are missing.
    I have also tried switching the download option for the qif file to use a csr file but that also opens the confirmation box.

  • How to eliminate confirm screen popup

    when i click back arrow, i get a confirm screen. (to resend)
    how to eliminate confirm screen popup every time?

    You get an alert about resending POST data if you go back to a page that was previously requested from the server by submitting form data via a POST form.
    The only way that Firefox can make sure to get the same page is by resending that POST form.
    Firefox doesn't know what that form data means, so Firefox asks for confirmation before resending that form data as such an action can cause you to repeat an action and buy another item or post a message another time.
    The only way to prevent that pop-up is not to use the Back button, but to open links from a page that was requested from a server by sending a POST form in a new tab (window) with a middle-click or a Ctrl + left-click.
    Then you can close that tab or window to go back.

  • Can click on "confirm" message popup only at second click

    Hi,
    I'm trying to figure out how to handle this issue:
    We have a complicated GUI in our website and one of the actions the user wish to perform - should show him a Confirm message box (using javascript: confirm()).
    The problem is that if he tries to click on the Confirm Box (no matter where in the box) - it bubbles the mouse event to the GUI. the Confirm Box responds to the mouse event only on second click.
    Do anyone knows how can I prevent the Confirm Box to bubble the event?
    Thanks.
    P.S.
    Sorry for my broken English.. Hope my question is clear enough.

    Unfortunately that didn't work.  I went to Start->Programs->National Instruments->TestStand 3.5->Operator Interfaces->LabWindows-CVI and got the following error message:
    Test Executive
    Error in call to LoadPanelEx

       Panel Resource ID: 4

    Error Code: -143
    Active X control error
    The actual error window is attached.  Looks like my installation has other problems?  With the way our IT department operates, if there is a way to fix this without reinstalling, that would really be helpful... :-)

  • How can I display a confirm box using JSP?

    Dear All,
    I am new to the Java language; please help!
    What I'd like to do is to prompt the user, within a loop, to click OK to continue the loop or CANCEL to exit the loop. I've tried to use JavaScript in conjunction w/ Form submittion to handle the parameter passing ('true'/'false') of the confirm box to a JSP. Yet, every form submission will cause the JSP page to re-load from the top which is the incident I'd like to avoid.
    Is there anyway I can have a confirm box written using JSP? Please help!!
    Thanks,Wing.

    if you do any modifications in the jsp page the whole page will be refreshed to show the latest result after modification.
    if you dont want the whole page to be refreshed
    you can pass the control to another page after the confirm box or you can use frames to your interest.

  • Validation error message in a confirmation box.

    To provide any validation error messages i am using the throw OAException, but that displays at the top of the page where many times users dont even notice it. i want to be able to instead display the error msg in a confirmation box that has just the OK button to make sure user has seen the message......
    how do i do that ? (i do not want to use the DialogPage becos that takes me to another page and also is not for raising exceptions).
    thank you.

    Hi,
    You have to use OADailogue region to achieve this. Please follow below code units to create a dialogue page and display an error message.
    OADialogPage dialogPage = new OADialogPage(OAException.WARNING, message, null, "", "");
    String yes = pageContext.getMessage("AK", "FWK_TBX_T_YES", null);
    String no = pageContext.getMessage("AK", "FWK_TBX_T_NO", null);
    dialogPage.setOkButtonItemName("DeleteYesButton");
    dialogPage.setNoButtonItemName("DeleteNoButton");
    dialogPage.setOkButtonToPost(true);
    dialogPage.setNoButtonToPost(true);
    dialogPage.setRetainAMValue(true);
    dialogPage.setPostToCallingPage(true);
    dialogPage.setOkButtonLabel(yes);
    dialogPage.setNoButtonLabel(no);
    java.util.Hashtable formParams = new java.util.Hashtable(1);
    formParams.put("foo","value");
    dialogPage.setFormParameters(formParams);
    pageContext.redirectToDialogPage(dialogPage);

    Hi,
    Good day to you.
    Apologize for quoting "Parallel" port. It is a in-built 25pin serial connector placed next to regular 15 pin serial port.
    Just to make a point here, this 25 pin serial connector has an external converter attached with other side having RJ45 jack.
    CAT5 cable connected between switch port to this RJ45 jack.
    I did tested this converter with another machine and could able to access the display on my console server. So it seems to be the connectivity from serial port to switch port works fine.
    Adding to that, this ultra 5 box with the current connectivity set up was working fine until I rebuild this machine. I was very well accessing this box thro my console server. There was no changes done except rebuilding the operating system.
    I think some work needs to be done at the ultra 5 box level to get this 25pin serial connector to act.
    Thanks.

  • My cursor does not move to the confirmation box after selecting delete

    When selecting 'Delete' for an email for instance, the cursor would then move to the confirmation box but with Firefox 4 this does happen now.

    Out of curiosity, are you using 'NoScript' or anything of the like?
    This occurrence happened to me on the Google page and I figured out that 'NoScript' was blocking Google therefore not allowing the cursor to activate in the search input field. I simply ''allowed'' Google.com and I had no problem thereafter. Perhaps you have a similar problem.

  • Javascript Confirm box dependent on results of query

    Hi
    I'm using Apex version 3.2.1 and I'm looking for a way to do the following, any help much appreciated:
    A javascript confirm box will appear when the user submits a page if the result of a query returns anything, the query would look something like this....
    SELECT * FROM LINKEDPROJECTS
    WHERE ENV_ID = :P18_ENV_ID
    AND COMP_ID = :P18_COMP_ID
    AND DATE_FROM <= to_date(:P18_DATE_TO, 'DD-MON-YY')
    AND DATE_TO >= to_date(:P18_DATE_FROM, 'DD-MON-YY')
    If it doesnt return any data the page will submit as normal, if it does return any data the confirm box will appear, and the message will also be driven by the result of a query.
    So the message would be something like....
    Project(s) +"Select NAME FROM PROJECTS WHERE ID IN (SELECT PROJ_ID FROM LINKEDPROJECTS WHERE ENV_ID = :P18_ENV_ID+
    +AND COMP_ID = :P18_COMP_ID+
    +AND DATE_FROM <= to_date(:P18_DATE_TO, 'DD-MON-YY')+
    +AND DATE_TO >= to_date(:P18_DATE_FROM, 'DD-MON-YY')"+ have this environment booked on the dates you selected.  Do you want to continue with the booking?
    Selecting yes submits the page, selecting no returns them to the page.

    In a nutshell (and some pseudo code):
    The button URL would look something like "javascript:beforeSubmit()" without quotes and where beforeSubmit is the name of your function.
    The function would look something like:
    function beforeSubmit() {
      var runQuery = new htmldb_Get(null,&APP_ID.,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=RunTheQuery',1);
      var result = runQuery.get();
      if (result = 0) {
        if (!apex.confirm('Submit page?")
          return;
      doSubmit('SUBMIT');
    {code}
    The application process, called "RunTheQuery" in this example, is a PL/SQL block that runs the query and return the value using the htp.prn function.
    There are probably errors in the above as I just did this off the top of my head, and you will probably need to tweak it somewhat.  But hopefully you get the idea.
