Confirmation for working hours

Hi All,
my client requirement is let say breakdown occur for repair it require 4 hour but due to unavailabilty of spare it will take 2 day or 36 hours so during confirmation it will put as 36+4= 40 but actuall is 4 hours, so what will be solution for this..?

           this is a very critical issue that u have hielighted,
as the production ppl will never take anything on themselves that is there productivity wll come down
and they wll try to put all the 36 hours in the maintenance kity.
but u can not do that because u have to calculate the cost of maintenance for which there wll b some activity cost such as technician and labour. because they have worked only for 4 hours.
therefore u need to make sure that u put up only 4 hours in ur ur orders.
but the rest down time of production wll have to b beared by the maintenance as of the non availability of spare is there problem.
hope it clears ur doubt up-to certain extent..

  • How to create Labor Operated Machines and confirm their work

         We have a steel manufacturing client for our implementation. the client already uses CATS to enter the time sheets for the internal activities using labor. but the customer requires to map machines operated by labor on the system.
    Example:
    Welding Machine XL5000 costs 10$ per hour
    Employee #### costs 20$ per hour to operate that welding machine
    Required:
    - How to Plan that for a Project (( not using activity elements))
    - How to Confirm the work hours done by the person using the machine at the same time<<Ex: using CATS>>. ((This is to prevent the mistake of someone confirming the activity element of the labor and not the machine or the other way around))

    I just tried it. unfortunately the system doesn't consider the 2 activity types defined in the work center "Labor Hour + Machine Hour". I use formula SAP008 and check the "reference indicator".
    I believe that is due to the activity type "Labor Hour" being set in the internal activity in PS.
    I tried removing it, the cost calculation fails for the internal activity.
    the system does not consider the activity types in the planning and the actual posting of CATS. I don't know how to do that in Project System.
    Regarding the solution of having 2 lines of confirmation for the same activity in CATS, unfortunately this will double the capacity usage for the employee causing a time problem.
    Ex:
    An employee is working 14 hours (8 + 6 Overtime) on a machine. confirming that will require entering 2 lines of 14 hours in 1 day = 28 H. the system will issue a warning message that the employee is working more than 24 hours in 1 day and reduce the amount of work entered to fall to 24 hours.
    And if we didn't face the 24 hours problem the employee capacity will be overrated in the reports.
    I'n afraid it won't work.

    You have already confirmed activity with 50Hrs, Now its possible to change hours to 10.
    To change hours:
    -Undo Teco
    -Cancel Confimation(CN29)(Be informed this will also reverse cost if anything posted)
    -Change hours to 10.
    -Confirm and Teco again.

    If you are really desperate you could buy the app yourself, then request reimbursement.

  • Recently auto updated to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 but mail no longer works. Had my Mac in at the iStore for 3 hours to no avail. Someone out there must have a fix! Help!!!

    Just had an automatic update to 10.6.8 last week and then my mail app failed to work after that. Had my Mac in at the iStore in Cape Town for 3 hours and received it back with the same problem. Please advise if there is a fix for this or how I should go about sourting out the problem. Thanks in advance.

    Fellow user Grant Bennet-Alder offers this solution:
    Some users have reported this problem if the Mail Application has been moved out of the top-level /Applications folder, or duplicated in another location.
    When the Security Update is done, the old version of Mail is disabled.
    The solution has been to:
    1) make certain Mail is in the /Applications folder
    2) There is no other copy anywhere else.
    3) Once steps 1 and 2 have been done, Manually download and re-apply the Security Update (2012-004) by hand.

    If the Mail.app has been LOST, it can be re-installed by applying the 10.6.8 version 1.1 combo update. But this update is quite large and it is usually not necessary:

Well, InDesign is the only one that works and I have a ton of work due! I don't have a serial number for Photoshop or Illustrator except for CS3, and they don't work. InDesign gave me no problems. Illustrator says it can't work on this machine. Photoshop needs a serial number. I'm stumped and getting anxious and freaked out. Can anyone help? Adobe Chat is down right now.

    We're using a Service Ticket Transaction which has a Date Profile which provides a 48 Hour window for which the user must complete the Service Ticket Resolution.
    The issue is I want to tie this up to the Business working Hours. I just cannot figure out where I define the Business Working Hours.
    This is a Standalone CRM Implementation. Maximum points for the right answer.

    Hi,
    The response time of 48 Hours must be maintianed in response profile... right?
    Similarly there is a availability profile in which you maintain the business hours/ availablity of your resources.
    These both together make a service profile.
    The availability profile is maintained in SAP Easy Access> Service> Service Contracts and Service Plans --> CRMD_SERV_SLA - Maintain Availability and Response Times

    the iphone 4S has been in recovery mode for a long time and i have tried to press and hold the power and home buttons until the apple symbols comes on the screen again but it stay on the screen until the screen turns off and doesn't come back on to the home screen and have tried to sync with mac and doesn't do anything it does display the itunes and cable icons for a while but then goes back to the apple symbol and doers nothing what can I do to fix this  and not loose what is on the phone at all?

  • Error message 7 and 6034.  Have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes 7 times and errors continue.  Can someone help please?  Been working on this for 4 hours.

    Itunes updated on my pc and laptop and now I cannot open the program on either one. Running Windows 7 on both.  Error number 7 and R6034 continue to pop up.  I have uninstalled (6 times) all of the Apple programs, rebooted, reinstalled, etc. as badgerfan1101 posted but cannot open it on either computer.  I even did a restore to an earlier date with hopes that would solve the problem.  Any other ideas?  Been working on this for 4 hours

    Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.

    First man up and admit, that itunes does not suggest, but tells you that update is available and you made a
    decision to download and update. Once you man up - think if you still under warranty. If that is not security
    software according to the link provided, it is hardware. So second try another network, may be your network
    has additional security or firewall. And third decide if it worth to you pay 149 for that phone or get it replaced.
    Unless your 3gs under warranty.

    I'm sorry, got confused. You're not going to get 7 hours on your battery. Apple says "Up to 7 hours". That means they got 7 hours under optimum circumstances and with certain usage. You need to keep your screen brightness as low as you can live with. Minimum music and video. Check some email, a little office type stuff. Forget games. You might get close but you won't get 7 hours.
    In the small print of their adds Apple spells out exactly how much of what they did to get 7 hours.

    Winston is right. If it seems OK though, I would also add that you should make sure to check it at the same day and time you have tried to download the movie. I had the same thing happen to me and it turned out my speed was fine much of the time but was dropping to like a few hundred kbps from about 7-11 evenings (typically when we were trying to order a movie).

  • Air or Pro for work? Using 8-9 hours everyday

    Hi, I need to purchase a laptop for work but torn between a Macbook Air and Macbook Pro.
    I'll be using it for 8-9 hours everyday, which is a lot of use. I mostly use it for emails, word processing, Powerpoint/Excel stuff, web browsing, and streaming videos.
    I'm thinking the Air sounds good, but I'm just worried that because I'll be using it so much that it might not last as long as the Pro.

    It is not possible to change anything on the Retina models once they are purchased. Everything but the SSD/Flash storage is soldered onto the logic board (That is the main system board better known as the Motherboard). The SSD/Flash storage module is of a proprietary design and shape and although there are some companies offering replacement units for the older, original, Retina display models I don't know if those same companies will make one for the newer models. Only time will tell. But if you do repplace it for a bigger, more storage capacity, unit that voids the Apple warranty.
    I also suggest you factor in the cost of the Applecare extended warranty because to fix any Mac computer once the warranty is over it is very expensive. So much so it is almost better to buy a new system. This is even more so for the Retina models because of all the component soldered to the main system board.

    I too had a HORRIBLE time with ITunes 7.0. The sound quality was absolutely terrible!! How did you recover your "Purchased Music" folder? I seem to have lost mine when I reverted back to Version 6.0.5. I also lost about 50 songs that I can't seem to find.
    As a side note, when I called the Apple technical support line and spent over 45 minutes on hold before I finally got assistance, the guy I spoke to said his department had NO IDEA about the problems with Version 7.0 - I was his first call. Someone should be fired for not testing Version 7.0 thoroughly.
    To anyone with problems, I suggest you call or email Apple so they are aware that this problem with Version 7.0 is widespread. Hopefully, they will actually listen to us customers, research this, and at least post some troubleshooting tips on the Apple website to help us out.
