Confused with document life & account life

I have a doubt regarding archiving
I think in archiving projects especially for finance module
there are lot of customization settings to be done form the functional side before Archiving , for example Document life ,Account life... etc
I have a doubt weather those customization settings needs to be carried out by archiving consultant or
the FI functional consultant?
Can any one tell what is the difference between Secondary indexes and Archive Indexes in FI ?
i am  really confused with the Archiving projects..... can any one help me

  • Account Life Cycle

    Hi folks,
    I am little bit confused for the exact scenario and functionality of account life cycle. Although I know that Account life cycle is used to define the BP roles's stage.
    I tried some scenarios:
    1. I went to the BP Role Exclusion group setting and created two role in BP role Exclusion group one is prospects & second is sold to party. After this allow a permitted transition from prospects to sold to party.
    2. Enable the life cycle stage.
    After completing this configuration, I could see that Prospects and Sold to party  BP role are missing from BP roles but that role could be chosen from life cycle stage.
    Till yet, every thing was OK.
    Then i created a prospect from Web ui by selecting the prospects role from life stage cycle.
    Then i tried to create the opportunity transaction and quotation transaction from that prospects and system allowed me to create quotation document with that prospects number... In actual the system asks for a sold to party detail not prospects.
    My 1st question is "As i did not convert the prospects into sold to party then Why the CRM system is allowing the entering a prospects into Quotation document?
    2nd Question is:   If it is allowing then Will it be possible to replicate the prospects into ECC system as sold to party role?
    3rd Question is : Could any body give a practical scenario where this functionality can be used?
    Even if i do not do any account life cycle configuration, I get the same result while creating the opportunity and quotation then what exactly is the use of account life cycle.

    Yes i know that there are many information available in SCN as well as sap help. I have read those information as well as i went on the sap note1097651 - How to use the Account Life Cycle.
    As far as theoretical things concern, all the information were there.
    But practically i could not get the solution of my problem that i mentioned in my earlier post.
    Could you please let me know the actual behavior of the CRM system after configure the Account life cycle and why it is necessary?

    Signed up for the highly recommended AT&T Digital Life to upgrade security system after almost 8 years with ADT. Became highly frustrated by the inadequate customer service AT&T Digital Life has provided. After our experience with AT&T, as outlined below, we have lost all confidence in AT&T and its Digital Life service and will be looking to remain with ADT or consider other competitors, such as Verizon.No coordination within sales. Called on May 22 to secure new multi-package security service (touchscreen door lock, multi-cameras, and water monitoring); installation was scheduled for the 8 am - 12 pm window on June 26. Received several calls from other sales reps on the same day looking to sell the same service.Sales rep misspelled last name (same name/spelling as a well-known product). The equipment was delivered to my office but my name was misspelled on the shipping label; also never received the email to register the new account in preparation of the install. Called AT&T support; rep confirmed that my name, and hence email, was misspelled in the system and could not be changed until the day of install by the tech. Rep managed to resend the registration link to the correct email address.1st No-show on day of install- June 26, 8 am-12 pm. Husband took the day off from work. At 2:30, 3 pm, no word from AT&T, called for an ETA. Support rep couldn’t find the account and put me on hold; hung up after 9 minutes without a word. Checked our home voicemail of which there were 3 messages from AT&T left the day before: one around 12:30 pm to confirm the appointment, one around 2 pm to cancel the appointment, and the last around 5:30 pm to confirm the appointment. Logged onto the Digital Life account to check the status of the install - reported that the install was to occur on June 26 as scheduled. Called AT&T support back expressing frustration over the whole ordeal. Second rep found the account under my cell number; said the cancellation was due to no available techs for the install. She also confirmed that the install order only had the home number and not my cell number as I’d provided to the sales rep for install updates and registered as my contact number on the account. Rep followed up with dispatch and rescheduled the install appointment for the next day, June 26, during the 1-4 pm window and provided the appointment confirmation number. Rep transferred me to billing for conciliation request due to inconvenience. Billing rep noted adjustment on account at first billing cycle. Spent 40 minutes dealing with AT&T on this while at work.2nd no-show on day of install-June 27, 1-4 pm. Again, no word of an ETA from AT&T. Called support at 2:30 pm for status. Rep could only find account under cell number. Rep followed up with dispatch and then reported that, since the install takes 7 hours, it was too late to proceed with the install as scheduled—beyond frustrated. Was transferred to dispatch rep who provided the next available date as August 3. Totally unacceptable! Told rep that if the install doesn’t happen on July 3, which encroaches on our holiday weekend plans, we will terminate the service and that husband and I will not take another day off from work to have a no-show from AT&T. Dispatch rep said he was sending emails to field managers alerting them of the situation and the urgent request. Again, was transferred to billing for conciliation request due to inconvenience. Billing rep noted 2 months credit on account to take place at first billing cycle. At around 6:30 pm, got a call from a field manager offering apologies and noting efforts to get install on schedule for July 3.To say the least, we’re about done with AT&T!

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement that goes like this : In the account life cycle status field on the Account screen i have some Custom BP Role statuses. I have to change this status after the User saves the account.
    I am new to Web UI and i do not know where to write the code to achieve this functionality. I am assuming we should be writing it in EH_ONSAVE of the BPHEADOVERVIEW of BP_HEAD component. Can we use the PARTNER_UPDATE BADI for this ? or any other BADI/ User Exit that you suggest ?

    Do Not post stuff about how Airplay doesnt work, because i dont have Apple TV and dont need to hear about it.

    If you have an external drive equal to or larger than your internal HD, clone your internal to it with either Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. Test the clone to make sure it's bootable. Then upgrade either one. Try it out first.

  • Cannot open document because Office keeps trying to sign in to Office 365 with the wrong account

    Problem: I cannot open Office documents from SharePoint on Office 365 because Office tries to sign in with my Microsoft account instead of my Office 365-account.
    History
    When we started the project, I did not have an Office 365-account yet for the organization I was working for. To get temporary access to SharePoint a colleague invited me on my Microsoft Account to gain access to SharePoint. This worked fine and I
    was able to access SharePoint. A few days later I received my official Office 365 account, so I also got e-mail etc. Because I now have an official Office 365 account, we removed my Microsoft Account from SharePoint. So now I only have access to SharePoint
    with my Office 365 account.
    The problem is that I can no longer open documents in Office. In the web version everything works fine, but if I want to open a document in for example Word, it says the document cannot be opened. Sometimes it shows a screen which says "Something
    went wrong". If I click through to go back to the website, it show me that it tried to login with my Microsoft Account and that this account does not have access to the site. It suggests to sign out and login with a different account, but this leads to
    a page that does not exist. I cannot figure out how to make Word use my Office 365 account.
    What I have already tried
    -Remove all my browser history and temporary files
    -Add Office 365 as a connected service in Office. I can sign-in with my Office 365 account and the location is added, but I still cannot open documents.
    -Tried a different pc. But because Office syncs al my settings, I got the same problem on all my pc’s.
    -Removed all my Windows credentials via the credential manager in the control panel. If I also remove the credentials for my Microsoft Account, Office cannot sign in anymore. At this point, if I try to access SharePoint, it asks me for my credentials
    and I have access to the documents. However, if I restore my Microsoft Account in Office again by entering my password, the problem is back.
    -As a work around I can add my Office 365 account as a separate Office account. I have access then, but it is really annoying because every time I want to open a document, I have to open Word, switch accounts, close Word and open the document. It is
    not capable of automatically selecting the account to use.
    Conclusion and question
    I have also worked with other Office 365 organizations which I can easily add to the connected services in Office and they work fine. So somehow Office has linked my Microsoft Account to this organization of Office 365 and it refuses to use the correct
    account. Does anybody know how to unlink my Microsoft Account from this Office 365 organization so that I can use the correct account?

    Stop connecting to a connected account
    You can stop connecting to a connected email account in Outlook Web App by removing the connection.
    In Outlook Web App, click Settings >
    Options > Account > Connected accounts.
    Under Account Name, select the account you want to stop connecting to.
    Click Delete to remove the connection.
    Click Yes in the dialog box to confirm that you want to stop connecting to the account.

  • How can I create a new iCloud account on a preowned phone (with that persons account signed on) without deleting their whole account entirely (on all devices)? Totally confused, please help:-(

    My mum has upgraded to the iPhone 5, she has given me her 4S with a new contract etc. the problem is all her contacts are still on here and calendar dates etc . All from her iCloud account. I have my own account but I don't know how to get my phone on that without deleting her iCloud account entirely and from all devices and her new phone. Please help, I'm probably confusing things more but I really need some help

    Just delete her iCloud account from (now) your iPhone 4s - doing so will delete it from your phone and your phone only.  It will do nothing to any of her devices with her iCloud account set up on them.
    Then login in with your iCloud account login to set up your iCloud account on that iPhone 4S.
    If you want to set up the iPhone 4s with a clean slate, just delete her iCloud account, then go into general settings, under the reset tab and select "erase all content and settings".  Then run through the activation and setup dialogues with your own information.

    Hi, thanks for the answer, I did that already. Unfortunatly this doesn't help me at all, as I often forget to check the menu. For me composing the message is writing the text, the subject, the person to who is addressed and than press "send".
    I often forget to check the "from", and this is a problem because the software select itself one of the accounts.
    Isn't there a way at least to put as a default a blank field instead of one of the accounts? or an account which doesn't work so if I forget to specify the "from" I will be rnotofied that the message can't be sent.
    I guess this could be a rather common problem for many people!

    Hello chakrapani bandaru,
    Please set all the G/L accounts involved in the transactions to Multicurrency accounts (e.g. BP, revenue tax accounts etc.)
    It means BP account, revenue and tax account
    as well, even if there is 0% tax.
    Please check Administration/System Initialisation/Company Details/ Basic Initialisation/Default Account Currency and make sure it is set toMulti Currency.
    The exchange rate difference account should also be set to multi currency.

  • Business Partner Roles and Account Life Cycle management in IC

    Hi all,
    We have IC agents creating prospects but also back office people (i.e. sales staff) creating prospects. Back office staff uses account life cycle management to identify the prospect role. However, I noticed that the business partner role (prospect in this case) is not visible within the IC - during account creation - because the role is used within the account life cycle role exclusion group.
    I can always enhance the IC component to remove the filter on the BP Role. but question I have is why does SAP IC remove the roles from the role drop down list in the IC account creation screen and how did other people get around this?

    We are working on a project in ECC 6.0 with document splitting functionality. I would like to know how to transfer Payables/Receivables, Materials, Assets in Profit center accounting. I have done necessary configuration but some how results are not getting updated in PCA. Is there any specific report required to see result or standard reports gives the results.
    I have assigned Accounts in 3KEH and their default assingment in 3KEI kindly tell me how to proceed about it.

    I am using S_ALR_87012284  to generate my financial statements. But whenever I provide a profit center value in the dynamic selection screen, i will encounter the FAGL_DB007 error.
    The error message reads -->
    Invalid selection when reading balances in new General Ledger Accounting
    Message no. FAGL_DB007
    Diagnosis
    Read access to balances of New General Ledger Accounting can only be granted to selection conditions for fields in table &V1.
    System Response
    No balances can be read.
    Procedure
    Check the selection criteria by calling up the transaction.
    Anyway I can overcome this error?

    No it is not common.
    Most have no issues.
    Have you tried basics from the manual?  Restart, reset, restore?
    The warranty covers defects.  If the iphone is defective, then they would replace it.

    iCloud only "syncs" data in the iCloud account, not data in other external accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc.  If your email, contacts and calendars are hosted by another external account, such as Gmail/Google, you may want to not sync this data using iCloud as you would have import it all to the iCloud account in order to do so.  Instead, add your external account to your iOS devices and in Settings>Mail,Conacts,Calendars>Add Account and turn on contacts and calendar syncing with your external account.
