Confusion in the APP column in V$ARCHIVED_LOG

I have some confusion regarding APP column of v$ARCHIVED_LOG
On my Primary machine when i execute :-

So here we find that in primary machine in the APP column NO is mentioned but as i can check in the standby machine the log is present. So what do we understand by NO in primary machine.

Yes It is not APP columns, Its APPLIED.
Applied column says, The particular sequence of archive log is applied on stand by database or not
If YES - Applied, NO - Not Applied, IN-MEMORY - In Process of applied
On Primary database every sequence has entry with respected DEST_ID
DEST_ID = 1 = Primary database
DEST_ID = 2 = Standby database
On Primary database O/P looks like

Why can't I download anything from the App Store?

why would it state under the "more about this mac" that i already have10.8.3 and then in the app store say i need to "resume" do you know what i mean? is it possible i already did download mountain lion entirely once? I am confused and don't want it twice
This is cause by the way the App Store checks to see if an application is installed on your system.
Basically when an app is installed it is in the Applications folder and this is where the MAS looks for them. So it looks at your purchase history for the apps you bought and looks in the Applications folder to see if they are installed. If an app is in your purchase history but not in the Applications folder the MAS says you need to install it.
For normal apps this works fine but the OS doesn;t install into the Applications folder. So the MAS sees you have Mountain Lion in your purchase history but it's not in the Applications folder and so it says you need to download it.
Hopefully one of these days Apple wil fix this.

I just bought a MacBook Pro, and need to d/l my photos from my memory card reader. iphoto keeps coming up as the app to use, but the column on the left says "No name, and shows 0 photos on the black screen. How do I view the photos on the reader?
Did it... When I clicked on "No name", a file folder came up and, I forgot to put MacBook Pro in the name bar... That was it! Maybe someone else can use this post Hopefully...

1. I have a security app on my computer, Flashbrief. I have it checked in the hide column but whenever I turn on the computerit appears in the top menu line.

3. I have a current model of Apple wireless mouse. It keeps getting stuck in text or e-mails and I have to somehowotherwise move the cursor to break it free.

I've never heard of this software, and cannot find any reference to it online, which is a bit concerning. What is it supposed to do? There really isn't much need for security software on a Mac.

In Mac OS X 10.7, any applications left open when you shut down or restart are re-opened at startup, and any documents left open in an app when you quit are re-opened when you launch them again. The former can be controlled by unchecking the box in the restart/shutdown alert:
You will need to do this each time you shut down or restart, it won't remember that setting.
The latter can be deactivated by unchecking the box in System Preferences -> General:

That does not sound normal, but I don't use a mouse with my MBP, so I can't provide a solution, other than to try replacing the batteries in the mouse. -
API to register table/column in the Apps
Guys,
I'm adding several columns to a table and forgot what the API was to register the table and columns so that I can then register DFFs.
I'm already very familiar with: fnd_descr_flex_col_usage_pkg.load_row
I need the API used to register the table/columns with Oracle Apps. The columns won't even show up through the form to register the DFF.

I seen in the App Store the app imovie for $4.99 but, it was in the free column. So I tried to see of ot would let me download it, and it did, but I also had 4 dents in my account. So did I purchase that app? When I went to go and see if the 4 cents was still there, it was gone. So I had to purchase the app. But It was in the free column of the App Store. I'm confused
I was also on my ipad 4th generation on ios 7.0.4

In the app "Numbers" I want to paste in many rows in to columns. And each row separated. Now it's getting all in one column when I try to paste.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

I want to write a script or Automator workflow/app that automatically emails a random shortcut of the day to three recipients. The source is from an Excel spreadsheet. One column is the shortcut, and the second column is the definition. Anyone have similar experience and know that this would work?
I have had a first stab at the script, below. It uses a file to store the shortcuts and command [descriptions]. You should be able to see from the script annotations how to add a new one. (I populated 1-4 with real data, but got lazy after that, so you have a few placeholders to work with first.
As I have noted, once you are happy that you have all the data in the file, you can comment out part of the script for ongoing use. (BTW, my reluctance to use Excel is that I don't currently have it installed and I don't want to offer wrong advice. If you have Numbers, I do have that and could probably modify to work with a spreadsheet from there. This might be especially useful if you have the data already sitting in Excel.)
A few things came-up whilist I was writing the script:
1. Currently, all recipients will not only get the same tip at the same time, but they will see the names and email addresses of the others who receive them. It is possible to modify this.
2. I have added a property gRandomCheck which keeps track of which shortcut has already been used (since the last time the script was compiled. This will prevent the same tip being sent more than once. When all tips have been sent once, the script will alert you and not send anything until reset. It does not check on a per-addressee basis (which would be a refinement). (If you add a new addressee at this stage, the whole process will start again, and you may not really want this to be the behaviour.)
3. The way that I have built the list, commandList, is deliberately cumbersome - it's for the sake of clarity. If you prefer, you can construct the whole list as {{shortcut:"X", command:"X"}, {shortcut:"Y", command:"Y"}}

The Apps are just confusing me a bit, can someone help?
There is 3 types of apps available; ones that work on iPhone, ones that work on iPad and ones that work on both. But the thing that is confusing me here is that when a developer makes an app for both devices I would have thought that they would make them under the same app, (like the ones that have a + next to them on the app store). But now I have found apps that are the same (one for iPad, one for iPhone), but don't come under the same app on the app store. Now this is what confuses me because as far as I understand if I want the same app for my iPhone and my iPad I will have to buy it twice, once on my iPhone and once on my iPad, even though it's the same app. Now maybe the developers do this on purpose to make more money, but it makes it more difficult for me to organise my apps on iTunes because I would have 2 of the same app and I would have to organise it so the right app syncs with the iPad and the right app syncs with the iPhone.
Have I got this all right or can anyone correct me if I'm wrong?Well, yes in the sense that they provide a higher screen resolution because of what an iPad is capable of displaying. Mostly, though, I think developers just use the abbreviation to distinguish an iPad app from an iPhone/iPod app. In reality everything on an iPad is "HD" if you think about it. Nothing like a little marketing hype, though.
The iPad's display resolution apparently conforms with the HD resolution on a TV when displaying 480p. Of course that's not as high a resolution as what many TVs can display for HD. From what I've read to display 720p or 1080p you require a higher resolution than can be provided by the iPad. I think for 720p you need a screen resolution of 1368 x 768 and for 1080p you need 1920 x 1080. iPads are 1024 x 640. -
Under the settings app there's the general column and under the accessibility section the is a setting called black over white does that drain your battery any more than the normal setting
Wow. I have not seen that question nor a discussion. I agree with James. I don't think it will, and if the power drain is different, maybe it'll be less and not more.
With a 10 hour battery, you have plenty of time to test it and see. If the battery depletes fast, just go back to the other way.

In the App Store, when you go into top charts then free column there are free apps but also payed ones
Which apps are you referring to ? If Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iPhoto and iMovie then they are free to people who have activated a device since 1st September 2013, and have iOS 7 installed on the device.

OK, so who let the crazy Russian company post an underwear and panty app on the app store called SIRI? Isn't that a bit confusing?

You seem to be under the impression that there is importance to being on the list above #25. While there can be benefit for a very short time, this is such a small factor in the overall success of your app that you should not put any planning or hope into it.
Your app is now down on that list and will never go higher. I'll repeat...it will only go lower, each time another new app is released. Forget about it.
You now need to market your app. Get it talked about on game forums, issue a press release via prMac and hope for good reviews. -
Wait, I'm a little confused. On my day old iMac running Mavericks, do I install iDVD from my iLife 11 disk, or somehow copy the app from my existing iMac and install it on my new one?
The following may be a bit easier set up the new Mac with the same iDVD capability on your old Mac:
1 - copy your current iDVD application from the old Mac to the Applications folder of the new Mac. The latest version available is 7.1.2. If you don't have that versoin go to the Apple Downloads site and download the iDVD 7.1.2 updater and run it on your current iDVD application.
2 - copy the iDVD folder that resides in the old Mac's HD/Library/Application Support folder to the same folder on your new Mac.

I am a newbie to MAC world. Being an ex-PC guy, I am used to CDs and traditional software. I want to buy Aperture as my main photo editing software. I have been using DXO and Photoshop in the past. I downloaded Apeture trial version and I am comfortable with it. If I were to buy it, should I buy an app or traditional software CD. I edit approx. 4-5 pictures a day, just for personal use though. Please advise.
