  • BT and Java - Btl2Cap Connection (Mobile phone and Digital Pen)

    Hi!
    First a short Introduction:
    For a project I have to stream data from Maxell Penit DP201(4.1) to a mobile device (over a midlet). Data Connection is built up over Bluetooth.
    My Questions are: Is btl2cap the right method for connecting digital pen and mobile phone?
    If yes, is the btl2cap string correct?
    The pens device adress is 00-07-CF-56-05-5D
    Does anyone know a sample application like this I want to program?
    Structure;
    package /
    Midlet
    Class extending thread
    Here's the code:
    public void run() {
        //Bluetooth
        //String connString = "btspp://0007808303AA:1;master=false";
        String connString = "btl2cap://localhost:0007cf56055d;ReceiveMTU=512;TransmitMTU=512";
        System.out.println(connString);
        try {
                LocalDevice local = LocalDevice.getLocalDevice( ) ;
    // build ServiceRecord
Discoverable(DiscoveryAgent.GIAC);
    L2CAPConnectionNotifier service = (L2CAPConnectionNotifier)
    Connector.open(connString);
    ServiceRecord sr = local.getRecord(service);
    // accept Connection
    L2CAPConnection connection = (L2CAPConnection ) service.acceptAndOpen( );
            } catch (Exception e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            }Thanks to all who can help me to reach the next step in my project.
    Best regards

    Hi,
    The reason for the compilation error is that the IDE is not able to find the jar file where bluetooth api is packed. try to put the jar file in lib directory of the project. Some IDE generates class files even though there are some compilation errors in java file.
    So it is better to resolve compilation errors before putting it in the device.
    The reason why the app freezes in the device is that you have not used a seperate thread to do the inquiry, try to use a thread where the inquiry will be done so that the apps main thread will respond to the user input.
    Hope this help you.

  • Most of the menu bar disappears on connecting mobile phone

    So, I have a strange glitch happen when I connect my Mobile Phone under Snow Leopard.
    Once I connect it, a new icon appears, showing five progressively bigger bars (just like a network measure), I suppose it's something to do with the mobile phone's network connectivity/modem.
    Anyways, a few seconds later, the following message appears:
    'A new network interface has been detected.'
    After this, most of my icons on the menu bar disappear, including the wi-fi, bluetooth, battery, date, clock, etc. Spotlight intermittently appears and disappears, but I can't use it at all (neither by clicking or using the shortcut).
    I have created a new user account, and the exact same problem happens, so I suppose it's not my user account problem.
    I'm using a Sony Ericsson device, btw.
    Just wondering if someone else had this problem?
    The device has bluetooth ruined, so I need to connect it to sync, etc (as well as recharge).
    Since I believe this is somehow related to SL trying to create a new Network connection through the mobile phone, and I don't really care about that, is there any way I can disable SL to NOT try to establish a modem connection with it automatically?
    Disabling it really doesn't work, because SL simply creates a new one automatically, which is kinda silly, and I really don't get why it does that...
    cheers.

    I'm having this exact problem as well. (Spotlight's behaviour is actually SystemUIServer crashing and restarting in an endless loop.)
    I'm going to submit this to the Bug Reporter but temporary workarounds are very welcome since it's frustrating to have to log out and in again every time I plug my cell phone in!

  • How Can I send SMS to a Mobile Phone within Oracle

    How Can I send SMS to a Mobile Phone within Oracle

    It depends on how you are planning to use this feature.
    You can set up a mobile using special software in order to interface to it programatically - you can then, via this software interface, use this mobile to send SMS's.
    Some service providers support an e-mail interface. Where you send the SMS as a the e-mail content and the mobile number as the recipient's address, or as the subject of the e-mail. However, many service providers have long since stopped providing this type of mail interface due to abuse. Remember that service providers are there to make money - not offer one a service via bulk SMS's can be send.
    Some service providers have dial-up servers that works like the old style bulletin board systems (BBS's) of the 90's. You use a telnet like interface, dial into this BBS, and is prompted for mobile number, message to deliver, and even delivery confirmation. You can expect the cost of this phone call to this system, to also cover the cost of sending the SMS.
    Some companies provide a software server to interface with one or more service providers - this allows you to fairly easily use this server gateway to send SMS's for you. Such a gateway server will typically support a telnet interface - allowing you to send SMS's via it from inside PL/SQL.
    I've used all these options, and I've found the best one to be the last option. It is the easiest to use from a programming perspective. It comes with various management and reporting tools. So you need to do the very minimal in managing this whole SMS interface.

  • Forms: connect mobile phone to send SMS

    Hi Gurus ,
    I am using
            Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Prod
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    CORE    10.2.0.1.0      Production
    TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
       and oracle forms 10g 10.1.2
    I wanna connect my mobile lets say (nokia , glaxy , qmobile) to forms and on any trigger like button pressed, send messages to selected cell numbers from the database..
    is it possible ?
    thanks
    regards:
    usman noshahi

    If you like to send sms from your client (forms based application) you must do a PJC (plugable java component).. For sending and receiving datas from RS232 you can use a RXTX library (http://rxtx.qbang.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page).
    If you like to send sms directly from your remote database (I think) you can import apropriate rxtx jar library into your database and write down a java stored procedure..
    Third way you can implement a java Class which sends sms and expose it as webservice on your remote server.. From plsql is easy to communicate with webservice and so you can also send sms..
    I have done a java bean for Hypercom POS terminal which is connected over RS232 with forms application (using rxtx library)..

  • Connecting Mobile Phone to HomeHub2

    For a year or so now I have had no problems connecting my HTC Legend phone to the internet. Now I cannot connect at all. The phone picks up the strong wireless signal, but the connection process stops at 'Obtaining address'. It's the same problem on the previous Hub. It isn't a phone problem - it connects to the internet via all other available wifis I've tried, including the Vodafone shop. It would seem to be a Hub fault. Help please!

    Assuming that you are trying to connect to your own home hub, as sometimes people have mistaken an adjacent home hub for their own.
    I guess you have entered the correct wireless key, checking that the it is identical in case and letter/number combination.
    The next thing to try is to change the wireless mode to B/G only, and select WPA only, and not WPA/WPA2.
    See if any of these help.
    There are some useful help pages here, for BT Broadband customers only, on my personal website.

    Is reinstalling the bluetooth files the only sollution? Cause BT was build in this win 7 64 machine. Its kinda weird to have to repair something that was deliverd with the laptop.

    Which color has your Bluetooth system tray icon (it should be blue/white) ?
    If it is blue/red, then check if you have really Bluetooth inside.

    You could connect to http://www.whatismyip.org/ for instance to get your ip address. There is no general way to get it in midp.
    Also note that a lot of mobile networks use NAT, so you won't be able to connect to it from the internet.

    user 1015988,
    Please note that the forum space for that product is an archived space.
    There has been no usable activity in it since Spring 2013.
    That archive status and lack of activity suggests the OTN forum site is not expecting it to be continued as a resource.
    I suggest you go that link for the software product, get ALL the documentation and every software component download, then consider spending time within the various Oracle Cloud spaces of the forums.    Go read months of Cloud postings before you think about initiating your own post(s).   You may find that the Social Network product isn't what you initially guessed but is a bigger suite of applications that requires a bigger investment in time and hardware than you choose to do.

  • Using HP ePrint with mobile phone internet connection

    Hello, I have a peculiar problem.
    I have an HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One series printer and I want to set up HP ePrint.
    I have internet connection for my laptop computer, which is the computer I use. It too is a HP. To set up your HP ePrint account you need the printer's code number which can be printed from the printer's control panel. Once you have the printer code, you can then enter it in to your account to add your device. My problem is that my interent connection is the mobile phone which I use to connect my laptop to the internet. The printer is then connected to the computer using either the direct wireless feature or using the supplied USB cable. Because of this, I can't obtain the printer's code, from the printer's control panel. I do not use landline internet connection as the mobile phone is used as a modem.
    What do I do?????????
    Can I just phone technical support and ask them to email my printer code??????

    Hi,
    No, this is not going to work and WON'T work at all. Your printer MUST be connected to the internet to allow ePrint to work. No point to send an email to printer and it is NOT there.

  • How to connect PC to a mobile phone to make a call.

    Hi all,
    I want my PC to control the mobile phone (its a CDMA phone). I want to connect the phone with my PC through some cable, then I want to control the phone using the program running on my PC.
    Like, I want my program running on PC to make calls through the mobile phones.
    Does anyone have any idea that how can I do it, what API should I use, any sample code or example.
    Thanks.

    Except TextNow is another Voip service. Just like Skype, Viber, etc. It may be a good Voip product but it doesn't use the mobile cellular network which is what the OP was interested in.

    Many iPad models now have exactly the same hardware as iPhones and should be completely capable of making and receiving calls and texts using a cellular network. Yet they cannot, because Apple limits this functionality through the ios.
