Connecting to a PHP authenticated website in Java

Hi,
I have some free time this Summer so I wanted to play around with Java. I'm trying to write a program that will connect to a PHP authenticated website, use it's search and download stuff from the site.
My question is, what is the easiest way to authenticate? I saw that Java can do HTTP authentication, are there any classes in the library that will do this for me?
Thanks,
blanny

Ensure you have the database set up as an ODBC data source and the following should work.
Connection cconnection;
          try
               String URL = "jdbc:odbc:YouDatabaseName" ;
   String user = "UserName specified for this DB";
               String password = "PasswordYouSetForDB";
               Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
               connection = DriverManager.getConnection(URL, user, password);
   System.out.println("CONNECTED TO DATABASE");
          catch(SQLException sqlex)
               System.out.println(sqlex.toString());
          catch(ClassNotFoundException cnfex)
               System.out.println(cnfex.toString());
          }

  • Remote Desktop Connection - cannot proceed because authentication is not enabled

    Hello,
    I try to connect via RDP from a Windows Server 2008 R2 to another 2008 R2 Server.
    I always get the error message.
    The connection cannot proceed because authentication is not enabled and the remote computer requires than authentication be enabled to connect.
    On the target machine the Remote Settings are set to:
    Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop.
    Firewall is disabled on both servers.
    Therefor I do not understand why I get an error message, that authentication is required.
    The target box is a nearly fresh syspreped machine with all current Hotfixes installed.
    I already found a lot of people having that problem by using XP (old RDP client), but no one seems to have this problem when connecting from 2008 R2 to 2008 R2.
    Thank you very much in advance for every hint.
    BR
    Matthias

    Hi Matthias,
    First I would like to confirm if you have deployed RDS (Remote Desktop Services) and you got the error, if so, please check this option
    TS Configuration, >> RDP-Tcp Properties >> change the Security Layer to "Negotiate"
    Then Recycle the TS Gateway service.
    Refer to:
    Unable to connect to Server using the Remote Web Workplace (RWW) Small Business Server 2008
    If this issue has nothing to do with RDS, and I suppose you used the cmd "mstsc" to remote access. This issue may also occur because of the version of mstsc, please make sure it has been upgraded to the new version.
    In addition, Did you have another newer server available like Server 2012? So we can test and try to use Server 2012 to remote access Server 2008 R2, and check if the issue persists.
    If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.

  • Unable to connect to Wi-Fi connection using WPA2 PSK authentication and encryption type TKIP

    I was referred to here from this thread at the Windows Insider Program: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/insider_wintp-insider_web/unable-to-connect-to-wi-fi-connection-using-wpa2/07bae1ed-c7fb-4f85-9d26-5549cc23e57a?msgId=2eb70420-fe35-494b-a13d-dcacd4d55eb9&rtAction=1426697691002
    My issue is copy/pasted below:
    Original Title: TKIP selection in WiFi network settings
    I have a workplace WiFi connection using WPA2 PSK authentication and encryption type TKIP.
    On the machine I used to test Windows 10, I had a previous installation of Windows 7 professional which connected to my workplace WiFi using the above settings. After installing Windows 10, my workplace wifi settings were imported and worked fine.
    Windows 10 had a system crash, and since I had deleted my previous windows installation, I performed a complete reinstall of Windows 7. However, when I went to install Windows 10 again, I had not taken the time to set up my workplace Wifi on Windows
    7 before installing Windows 10. As a result, I had to set up my workplace wifi as a new connection in Windows 10.
    When going to set up the wifi connection, the encryption type was grayed out, but appeared to default to AES. Searching the internet suggested that Windows 8.1 did not need a encryption type selected, because Windows could automatically determine
    if it was TKIP or AES, hence why the option to select encryption type was grayed out. However, after completing the setup of my workplace wifi, Windows 10 could not connect to my workplace wifi. After restoring Windows 7 with a factory reset, and setting up
    the workplace wifi (the encryption type selection was not grayed out and I manually selected TKIP encryption), my workplace wifi was working again.

    I have 2 systems :
    - 1 BW 7.0 ABAP stack only
    - 1 BI 7.0 JAVA standalone
    I have configure UME and Webex between the two systems.
    For testing, I use internet explorer on the portal...It's OK.
    But consultants wants to use a "WAD 7.0"...
    What i would like to know :
    - WAD could connect directly on the ABAP BW ? Or throw the BI 7.0 JAVA?
    - In case they could connect directly to the ABAP, a BI JAVA was necessary? SP 07  for abap STACK?
    Last question :
    In my Bi portal user from abap stack are created by UME (from abap)  but tkey don't have any permissions...This is normal or my user mapping is wrong?

    Yes, the network connection could not be established. Like the error said.
    What you're asking about is the exact reason, but that could be any number of things and not at all related to code. You could have the wrong host, the wrong port. A firewall could be blocking the outgoing connection, a firewall could be blocking the incoming connection. Etc. etc.

  • Connect to 802.1X authenticated network

    Hi,
    I am trying to connect to an 802.1x ethernet network.
    When under OS X 10.8, everything worked. I was provided a .mobileconfig file, which I edited (name and password) and ran, like described here http://support.apple.com/kb/PH13933 .
    After upgrade to 10.9, I cannot connect, with an "Identity authentication failed - the identity of the authentication server could not be estabilished" error message. I tried a lot and I made sure the config file is correct. It's just that what worked under 10.8, now does not. What changed?

  • Connecting oracle with php

    hi all,
    i am using Xammp 1.7.4, PHP version 5.3.5, apache 2.2, and oracle 11g. actually i know how to connect MySql using php, but now i am trying to connect oracle using php. Can any 1 tell me the clear cut steps to do the same ?

    You need to add the right oci8 DLL or .so to php.ini and make sure it has access to Oracle client libraries. These Oracle libraries are from an Oracle Home or Oracle Instant Client.
    Without knowing your platform and whether the Oracle DB is on the same machine as Xampp the best place to start is to look at

    Hi Sushma
    Ask your system Admin for servername,portnumber of database server
    Connection conn=null;
    try {
    Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    conn =DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:oracle:thin:@<servername>:<portnumber>:DB","uname", "pwd");
    Statement stmt=conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs=stmt.executeQuery("select * from <tablename>"); // select statment
    while(rs.next())
    IXXElement nodeConnection=wdContext.createXXElement(); //creating a node to store the data from oracle
    nodeConnection.setYY(rs.getInt("YY")); // setting the values into input fields
    nodeConnection.setAA(rs.getInt("AA"));
    nodeConnection.setBB(rs.getInt("BB"));
    wdContext.nodeXX().addElement(nodeConnection); // adding the node

  • Strange behaviour when using connection pooling with proxy authentication

    All
    I have developed an ASP.NET 1.1 Web application that uses ODP.NET 9.2.0.4 accessing Oracle Database 8i (which is to be upgraded to 10g in the coming months). I have enabled connection pooling and implemented proxy authentication.
    I am observing a strange behaviour in the live environment. If two users (User 1 and User 2) are executing SQL statements at the same time (concurrent threads in IIS), the following is occurring:
    * User 1 opens a new connection, executes a SELECT statement, and closes this connection. The audit log, which uses the USER function, shows User 1 executed this statement.
    * User 2 opens the same connection (before it is released to the connection pool?), excutes an INSERT statement, and closes this connection. The audit log shows User 1, not User 2, executed this statement.
    Is this a known issue when using connection pooling with proxy authentication? I appreciate your help.
    Regards,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
    I tried to reproduce your complaint, but was unable to. I didnt use auditting however, just a series of "select user from dual" with proxy authentication. You might want to see if you can put together a small complete testcase for this and open a sr with support.
    Cheers

  • How connect an HTML page to a running Java Application?

    Hi,
    Exists a way to connect an HTML page to a running Java Application?
    the idea is, If we use SWT, the Browser widget have an instance of IE/Firefox attached to it, and we load local HTML pages inside, then i wish to have a way to bridge Java Application from HTML page. Then with that we can do follow JScript:
    var javaApp = document.getJavaApplication(); //here is the trick
    //below is like we do today with applets
    var person = container.create("myapp.Person");
    person.setName("Test");
    container.save(person);its great if we can Have an attribute for object tag or anything to conect HTML page to Java Application.

    I think that the better idea is to create a new mime type for that, maybe "application/x-java-connect-to-local-jvm", and use embed tag, to connect via plugin to a running JavaApp
    example:
    <embed type="application/x-java-connect-to-local-jvm" width="20" height="20" mainClass="mypackage.AppName"><br>
    <script>
    var javaApp = document.embeds[0];
    function createPerson()
      var person = javaApp.getNew("mypackage.Person");
      person.setName("test");
      javaApp.save(person);
    }The width and height, isnt necessary, but the view can be used to show red if connection failed and green for sucessfull connections, or maybe embed tag can have src to images for sucessfull and unsucessfull states.
    That's the idea, there is a way to extend Java Plugin to achieve that?
    any tip or idea or to achieve that, are welcome.
    Thanks

    HI expects,
            HOW COULD CONNECT FROM SAP SYSTEM TO THIRD PARTY JAVA or . DET APPLICATION.please provide me some scenarios and documents.please help me.

    Hi,
    In the sender side i.e. in SAP system you can use IDoc/RFC/Proxy to push the data to XI.
    IDoc supports only Async communication and in Sync case performace is good using Proxy.
    In the receiver side you can use Java Proxy to connect to the Java application or you can even bulid a webservice over the Java/.Net application and use SOAP adapter to post data to it.
    Thanks
