Connecting webstart with MSSql server

Can somebody help me about how to connect webstart with MSSQL on net .
Thanks
sushil singh

Thanks for your reply,
Where can i get Inzoom driver.I presume it is downloadable from the net.
My application is using J2EE arthitecture(jsp/java/Struts and Frameworks/EJB/Sevelets with database as sql server). The application is deployed and running successfully on J2EE Sun Server.I want to shift this whole application to WSAD 5.0 as the Studio helps a lot in reducing the development time.
I read on the site that one can use "WebSphere Connect JDBC Driver" for connection. The WebSphere Connect JDBC Driver is the WebSphere branded DataDirect Connect JDBC Driver that is shipped with WebSphere Application Server.
But the driver "com.ibm.websphere.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver" is not present in the licsensed wsad that we have here in the company.
Mostly it is downloadable from the ibm site.
Please suggest that which driver will suit my application and how to go about it.Atleast I want to run a sample application from WSAD which will connect to the SQL Server.
Thanks in advance.

    Hi Karthikeyan,
This is not the issue at all. I can open the management studio by the same login id and password and also i can make the database jdbc connection from plain java file.
It does not give me any problem by them.
I'm unable to find the actual problem. May be i'm missing something in connection pooling.
    Please help.

  • Connection to a MSSQL-Server fails

    Hello,
    (Version: 1.1.2.25)
when I try to establish a connection to a MSSQL-Server
    I get this Error Message:
    "Status: Failure -net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver"
    Does anyone have any idea?
    Andre

If you are getting connection refused, either the server isn't listening on the port you have specified or there is a firewall intervening.
Can you connect to the database using any other MSSQL client tools (query analyzer for instance?) If so, make sure the setting you have there are the same in sqldeveloper.

the "sqljdbc.jar" file is there in place "<ORACLE_HOME>/oracledi/drivers"
    Java version: jdk1.5.0
There is no change in source or target db. Please help me to fix this issue

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. The link is helpful and its the same what is there in the environment.
"The JDK version is 1.5 and JRE version is 1.4.2."
But, this was working fine till last week. I am worried, if the issue is due to version compatability why we were not facing this issue before. There is no changes in the environment since go live of this interface.
    Thanks,

  • Connecting XI to MSSQL Server

    Hi,
I want to connect to Mssql Server from XI, I have downloaded and JDBC driver of MSSql server. Is this enough to connect to XI server or else i have to do any other configuration in XI server. How to know that JDBC Adapter is enabled in XI Server. I was directed that i have to configure aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda with jar file JDBC driver,is that necessary, if so where to find that jar file and what are the configuration steps.

make sure you have the following jar files ready with you.
    msbase.jar
    mssqlserver.jar
    msutil.jar
Best way to get the exact JDBC drivers is to check Vendor website for details.
For deploying these drivers to your XI server so that your adapter can connect to MSSQL you can use the tool "drivertool". Check details on service marketplace

  • Local Network Connection Problem with SQL Server 2008 R2

    Hi,
I have CRM application which uses SQL server 2008. Weird thing is that I have no problems connecting from client machines to the server when using a particular router (via LAN) and when I upgrade the firmware of the same router (A common open source firmware
which is used by many also works perfect apart from mentioned problem) and restart the server, the connection cannot be established. I get Error 40.
When i downgrade the firmware and restart the server, the connection works again.
Please note that I am absolutely not touching any configuration of the server. Also the CRM software allows remote connections from public IPs which this feature works fine with both downgraded and upgraded firmwares.
As for my understanding, the routers do not block ports in LAN connections. So how can I diagnose the reason for this connection problem?

    Hi Leony83,
Please also help to check Windows Event Log information regarding this issue, so that we can do further investigation. In additin, here is the general steps to troubleshoot SQL Server Error 40 issue. Please see:

  • How to use JDBC to connect Tomcat with database server?(Urgent!)

I try to deploy the tomcat and make it connect with databaser server.
    I am using mysql connector J 3.0. I added the CLASSPATH of mysql-connector-java-3.0.7-stable-bin.jar in the tomcat.sh .
I also add the web application in server.xml.
When I start tomcat, I can see using Classpath including mysql-connector-java-3.0.7-stable-bin.jar .
But when i browse my jsp including the jdbc, wait for a while, I get a message as following: Timeout on server localhost. My web server and database server is same computer.
Could you tell me what's wrong?

Did you check to see that the MySQL database was indeed up and running, and accepting connections when you started Tomcat? Did you make sure that your firewall permits connections to the database?
Timeout errors generally occur when you send a request to a server and the server does nothing with it - i.e., it doesn't respond to it in any way. Most firewalls are configured this way. If I telnet to your machine and I get "connection refused", I know your machine exists and I can try hacking into it. If I telnet and get nothing at all, then I will either assume either there's no actual machine at that address or it's unresponsive.

Hi, When you connect to NI OPC Server by creating New I/O Server > OPC Client. You will see all registered OPC Servers running on local machine or remote machine. I used KepServerEx from Kepware and LSIS OPC Server from LG with no problems. Just make sure that the OPC server is running.
    Hope it helps

  • Connect java with SQL Server

    Hello everybody,
I have created a java program in JBuilder9 and i have connected it with Access 2003.
I want to connect the program with SQLServer 2000.
    How can i do it?
    Thanks in advance!

You can either find a JDBC driver to directly connect to SQL Server or set up a DSN to SQL Server Database through ODBC and use the JDBC-ODBC bridge As you may have done when connecting to Access Database

Well there is something wrong with your database URL you are giving to the driver. You should lookup the documentation for the driver and see what format the URL should be in.
Here is an open source driver you could try too -- http://jtds.sourceforge.net/

  • Connection problems with DI-SERVER 2007 & B1WS from remote machine

    Hi,
Can you please help us better understand what the issue is, and how to solve it?
I am seeking to get B1WS working on remote machines.
I have built a small test application, which works fine on the server which also hosts the SQL Server instance and IIS.
When I move the application to another machine, no connection happens, and it always throws this error:
    Message:
"Unable to connect to the remote server"
    Inner Exception:
"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:80"
    Error Code:

    This configuration works:
    Licensing Server:  Server A
    Database Server:  Server B
    IIS Server (B1WS):  Server B

    This configuration does not work:
    Licensing Server:  Server A
    Database Server:  Server B
    IIS Server (B1WS): Server B

I have checked permissions on the web services folder, and gave Everyone all permissions.  The same connection problems persists.

  • Help connecting Rome with Adobe server

This question doesn't really have anywhere else to go since Rome is officially retired and has no forum, but how can I get Rome to reconnect with Adobe server so I can access fonts? I've just downloaded the program and right now all I can get are 4 standard ones.
    Thanks for your help!

As a followup, there was something called “Project ROME” that was never really a commercial product. It was a web application based upon Adobe's AIR runtime system. Further information about it may be found at <http://download.macromedia.com/pub/rome/projectrome_sysreq_faq.pdf> and in fact, you can download the last version of this prerelease product for “free” use as-is - Windows version <http://download.macromedia.com/pub/rome/projectrome_win.air> and Mac version <http://download.macromedia.com/pub/rome/projectrome_mac.air>.
If you still have documents in this format, I would strongly suggest you save them out to something else before all support disappears.
In terms of standard fonts, normally such AIR-based software used variants of Myriad Pro and Minion Pro, fonts that are typically supplied with InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, etc.

  • Anyone has succeded connecting XI with MSSQL database?

Hi guys, does anyone know whether adapter driver for MSSQL is a default adapter that has been installed in XI or not? If not, anyone know how to install this to XI? Thank you very much...

    Hi
You can connect to SQL server with existing JDBC adapter
However you need to deploy the driver for SQL server just as you deploy for Oracle
some drivers for SQL servers are:-
    msbase.jar, mssqlserver.jar, msutil.jar
Follow this How to guide to understand how you deploy the driver

    Thanks,

    Hi Rossco199,
The issue is likely caused by you not having yet assigned port 1433 in SQL Express itself. Follow the procedure described on the following page, and you should solve the problem: http://www.tensixconsulting.com/2012/02/sqlserverexception-the-tcpip-connection-to-the-hos t-port-1433-has-failed/
In particular, remember to assign port 1433 to 127.0.0.1 and to IPAll. Also set 'Active' and 'Enabled' to 'Yes' for the IP 127.0.0.1. While you're at it, if 'Named Pipes' is disabled, you should right-click on it and select 'enable'. Afterwards, restart the Windows service 'SQL Server(SQLEXPRESS)'.
It is advisable to allow ColdFusion server authentication. However, the SQL Express server is configured by default to allow only Windows authentication. This conflict may lead to errors.
Should you then encounter the dreaded Error 233: "No process is on the other end of the pipe", proceed as follows. Open the tool Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Right-click on the name of your database server, then on Properties. In the user interface that opens, click on Security. Select the combined 'SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode'. Restart the service 'SQL Server(SQLEXPRESS)'.
