Connection Reset on Oracle SOA-Suite 10.1.3.5.0 Apache-Webserver with SSLv3

Hi,
I'm trying to use SSL with my SOA-Suite 10.1.3.5.0 Webserver. This Problem occurs on both a windows and a linux machine. I'm referring to the windows-machine, as this has the latest patch-level. My problems are about the Apache-Webserver only. I didn't do any special configuration, and SSL is working fine in the Browser (FF3.5 and IE 8). But for Paypal IPN Notification i'm having serious troubles. I was able to track down the problem to a SSLv3 problem. I installed the latest openssl version and issued the following command:
openssl s_client -connect localhost:443
This gives me the following output:
C:\OpenSSL\bin>openssl s_client -connect localhost:443
Loading 'screen' into random state - done

---This looks fine so far. But when I'm issuing an HTTP-Command, e.g. GET / HTTP/1.0, the connection gets closed immediately (openssl just says 'closed' and I'm back to the commandline again). When adding the -msg to the openssl commandline, I'm getting the following output:

When adding the -bugs to the openssl commandline (saying "Switch on all SSL implementation bug workarounds") everything is working fine (with the same output for openssl, using sslv3 and the following additional line in the ssl-log: [info] Initial (No.1) HTTPS request received for child 34 (server soa1.karlsbad2.promatis.de:443) (at the end just before connection close).
When setting the client to use ssl2 (-ssl2) everything is fine too. When doing -ssl3 it is the same as without any parameter.
The certificate has expired message and the test-certificate seem not to be related with my problems, since the same problems arise on our production server having a "real and valid" SSL certificate certified by a renowned SSL-CA.
When setting SSLProtocol +SSLv2 in the ssl.conf openssl is working fine too. But this is not an option as sslv2 is no longer supported by Firefox (giving me an error-message when accessing the page).
I played around with SSLCipherSuite in the ssl.conf without success. I fear mod_ossl has a bug when working with the specified ssl-parameters. Is there any way out of this?
Any help would be highyl appreciated,
Best regards
Johannes Michler

Did you find a solution to this issue? We are having a similar issue trying to deploy a Paypal IPN on OAS 10.1.2.3. The IPN messages coming from Paypal appear to be attempting an SSLv2 handshake. In our case SSLv2 is disabled due to our security requirements so the connection is killed by our App Server. We have found that manually sending the IPN messages works correctly.

Where can I find the installers for Oracel SOA Suite 11.1.1.5 and corresponding supported weblogic server with OEPE.

  • Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 Polling database table with Database Adapter

We are trying to use the database adapter to poll for new and changed data in a database. To do that we try to use a sequencing table on an external database. But for that we need to specify the data-source name for the external sequencing table. Where do we need to define this data-source? We have tried with data-source defined in the Enterprise Manager, but it's not right. Also tried with the name of database connection in JDeveloper, still not working.

  • How can I use custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in Weblogic

    Hi There,
I'm trying to view and search the weblogic log files using WLST on a Solaris/Unix system.
I have come across this "custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite" and thought of using the custom logging commands to get my task done.
However, my WLST shell is not recognizing the commands and giving me the NameError!
    wls:/devDomain1/domainRuntime> listLogs()
    Traceback (innermost last):
    File "<console>", line 1, in ?
    NameError: listLogs
I tried the commands listLogs, displayLogs, getLogLevel & setLogLevel but in vain!
I have followed the instructions as per the oracle recommendation of using Custom WLST commands (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29597_01/core.1111/e10105/getstart.htm#ASADM10692) as below
    - Launched the WLST shell from Oracle Home.
    cd ORACLE_HOME/common/bin
    ./wlst.sh
    - Tried to run the listLogs command from domainRuntime()
I would like to know if I need to import any additional libraries to run the custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in my WLST shell?
I have only weblogic 10.3.1 server installed on my Solaris 10 machine on which I have deployed the OSB application software.
There is no SOA Suite installed.
Or is there any other way I can browse the Server Log file and get the list of log messages? Basically I would like to use this feature in my script to customize it according to my requirement of listing specific error logs which I can work it out if I know how to make these commands work.
Please advise if this is possible and how?
    Cheers.

I am using JDevelpoer 10.1.3.5 and SOA Suite 10g. Please help me to figure it out.
    Thanks

Make sure you use the similar version of soa suite and JDev 10135. If you are using JDev 10.1.3.5, your soa suite version should be 10.1.3.5. I was just wondering if you were ever able to deploy any other process successfully from the similar JDev and on similar SOA Suite ? If not you need to revisit your soa suite installation again.
Also check the log files on the server to see if any errors are recorded.

  • Oracle SOA Suite 11g - Supported Databases??

    Hi All
I am trying my hands with Oracle SOA suite 11g on my laptop having 2GB of RAM...
List of soft wares installed for this are Oracle 11g database, JDeveloper, SOA Suite. On real time when developing some application system becomes too slow due to memory issue.
The Oracle DB eats up max memory...
So looking for a alternative light weight database alternative for Oracle SOA 11g suite like SQL server 2005.
The Repository Configuration Utility version RCU11.1.1.2 supports SQL Server 2005 database and create the schemas like Dev_SOAINFRA, DEVV_ORASDPM etc correctly...
But while configuring the new admin and SOA server via the wizards (start menu -> Oracle SOA 11g - Home1 -> Configure Application Server) the only database vendor drop down option available is Oracle , list does not contain other players IBM DB2, MS SQL Server , MySQL.....
So can somebody tell me for Oracle SOA Suite 11g, what is the light weight Database option is available so that I may go for SOA applications development on machine like my configuration....

Yes, All schema created successfully using the RCU tool, except the below warning.
+"The Database you are connecting is not a supported version. Enter database with version equal to of higher that 10.2.0.4.0 in 10g or version equal to of higher that 11.1.0.7.0 in 11g.Refer to the certification matrix for the supported DB versions."+
But when starts the SOA server , the log bears the below error repeated numerous time.

  • Query regarding integrating sun MQ with Oracle SOA suite 11g

    Hi,
I am new to SOA suite 11g.I have a requirement of connecting to Sun MQ 4.4 queue from Oracle SOA suite 11g.Right now, I have found a work around using java embedding by connecting to the queue from java code directly. Can I use the JMS adapter for this purpose? If yes what are the options of doing that.I saw there is an option of third party queue in the JMS adapter configuration wizard but could not get it to work.Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

I think we can exchange only data types, i dont see any data type which can hold the object types.
If you find anything better let us know.
Constructing string xml and converting to xml is best option i can think of.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

  • Oracle SOA Suite 11g vs jdevstudio11.11

In reviewing the SOA Order Booking Quikstart Guide it requires that you download and configure Oracle SOA Suite. Prior to starting this Guide, I had already downloaded the Oracle SOA Suite 11g Technology Preview which included two downloads (JDeveloper and the update to the design and runtime). I followed the install instructions from the same site.
    1) Having completed these two downloads and installs do I still need to install and configure the Oracle SOA Suite to run the SOA Order Quickstart Guide?
    2) My understanding was that the Oracle SOA Suite 11g Technology Preview included the Oracle SOA Suite, is this correct? If not correct, do I need to also install the Oracle SOA Suite (my downloaded version is soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1.zip)?
    3) When configuring the SOA Suite, per the guide, it states that I should go to http://loalhost:8888 but I do not get a connection. If I still need to install the Oracle Suite then I expect that this will solve this issue (per questions above) but if it already is isntalled with the SOA Suite 11g Technology Preview then I confused as to how to get this location to show up? I can get the SOA Console to show up but I don't know if this is the same?

The SOA Orderbooking Quickstart is for SOA Suite 10.1.3.x. If you want to run this sample, you do have to install SOA Suite 10.1.3.x. This is the current released version of SOA Suite.
The Technology Preview 3 is SOA Suite 11g. This version is in a pre-beta/preview status right now. It has the SOA Suite with the JDeveloper. This version has its own tutorials/samples.
In reply to your specific questions:
    1) the two downloads for the TP3 do not apply to the 10.1.3.1 SOA Orderbooking Quickstart.
    2) The 11g TP3 does include the 11g SOA Suite and you do not need to install the 10.1.3.1 zip to run the preview.
    3) When you run the SOA Suite 10.1.3.1, the default port is 8888. When you run the 11g SOA Suite inside JDev, the default port is 8988.
    Heidi.

  • Configuring Webcenter Worklist with Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4

    Hi,
I have installed Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 on weblogic server 9.2. I want to configure Webcenter 11g worklist service with this SOA Server.
I would like to know if this is possible at all? Webcenter Suite 11g talks about configuring Webcenter worklist with SOA Suite 11g and I am not able to find any document
    Thanks,

    Hi,
If you are trying to understand how to create a connection pool for a data source, then this document might be helpful

    Thanks for responding.
I have not created clusters as i have only one soa server and so i think i dont need to use the node manager to start the soa server . I am starting the server using the command prompt .
Basically what i did and how i created the domains is below.
Note : NO cluster so NO node manager and everryting is by command prompt
    i selected the options like
    First domain:-
    Oracle soa suite,
    EM,
    JRF
(Admin Server + One SOA Server )
Deployment and servcies i chose by default and so-infra is down
    Second Domain:-
    Oracle soa suite for developers,
    EM,
    JRF,
(Admin server + One server )
Deployment and servcies i chose by default and so-infra is down
    Third domain:-
    Oracle soa suite for developers,
    EM,
    JRF,
( Only one admin server which is working fine )
Deployment and servcies i chose by default and so-infra is UP and running
    Fourth and fifth domain :-
Repeating the fiirst and second domain along with BPM and BAM this time
Deployment and servcies i chose by default and so-infra is down
This is all i did . Please correct me if am wrong.
    Thanks

    Hi-
You can use below manual installation proceeds as follows :
Step 1. Download a setup for Windows and run it on a Windows machine.
Step 2. Once the setup is finished, FTP all the following files and folders from your Windows machine to you Sun Solaris server :
the entire 'bin' folder (excepting the '.bat' files) - ASCII transfer mode
the entire 'lib' folder - BINARY transfer mode
the entire 'drivers' folder - BINARY transfer mode
Step 3. Once you have transferred all the files, do not forget to configure the odiparams.sh file according to your environment. Also add the appropriate files, used by ODI to connect to your technologies, to the 'drivers' folder.
    Does it helpful?
    Thanks,

Did you find a solution to this issue? We are having a similar issue trying to deploy a Paypal IPN on OAS 10.1.2.3. The IPN messages coming from Paypal appear to be attempting an SSLv2 handshake. In our case SSLv2 is disabled due to our security requirements so the connection is killed by our App Server. We have found that manually sending the IPN messages works correctly.

  • Apache commons-lang version in Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.3.0

What is the Apache commons-lang version used in Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.3.0?
I was using commons-lang-2.4 classes in writing an Identity service plugin and ran into an issue.

  • Installation issue- Oracle SOA Suite 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.x)

    Hi,
I am installating (basic installation) Oracle SOA Suite 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.x), I have Vista OS. Configuration assisstant ran successfully till (App server, ESB, BPEL prcoess manager) it reached to Web Services Manager. It threw up following error-
    BUILD FAILED
C:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_3\owsm\scripts\install.xml:1971: The following error occurred while executing this line:
    C:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_3\owsm\scripts\dataload.xml:199: java.sql.SQLException: Internal Error:Invalid Connect String
I have JDeveloper installed on my system. Let me know if you need the log file.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Andre,
I am a newbee in this field and I could not understand your question. Can you please explain? I downloded Oracle JDeveloper to design BPEL processes and trying to install Oracle SOA suite for BPEL process manager, that is where I hit this road block.
    Thanks
